I liked the kitchen space and dining area. Perfect during the week when working away from home. I liked the breakfast provision being accessible 24/7 Room was big. Nice place.

Slamming doors. Mattress would a little old/uncomfortable.

The rooms were smaller, particularly in the loft rooms. You were not made aware that some rooms had communal toilet and shower. The kitchen allowed you to have a tree or coffee at any time HOWEVER , there were no cups available to make a cuppa in !

The bathroom on my landing was so dimly lit,had to use my phone torch, and had go down to floor below to have a shower

Nothing, the shower was rubbish, the door instrument was broken, the bed was shocking and the room stinks, people were smoking outside.

When I got up all the yogurt were gone out of the fridge, only took some cereal that was it. Obviously cheap due to the clientele who stayed at this place.

Very strange smell when you walk in but as soon as we got to our room the floor was flooded with water didn’t realise untill I picked up my bag and water was dripping everywhere no one there to help we had to leave and drive home

Location was nice and quiet.

Bed was very uncomfortable and the frame was so squeaky every time I moved it woke me up. Lighting in one of the bathrooms was broken and the other bathroom had been left in rather dirty state, shower was terrible, almost no hot water and terrible pressure. No easily visible outside number or name on the guest house, made it difficult to be sure it was the correct place.

I liked the location. The kings room clean and spacious. The kitchen facilities to be able to help yourself as much as you would like.

The sink in the bathroom was very small other than that nothing sorry come to mine

I was staying in the Garden Room, it was secluded from the main house, very spacious,clean. Nice shower room and dressing room. Lovely neat garden with apple trees.

The light bulbs could be a bit brighter, and one was missing in the dressing room.

All facilities were clean and tidy, reception staff were very helpful and friendly.

Our room was large and comfortable. Kitchen was fully stocked

Pages hotel is a lovely place to stay And the services provided are great Location is very close to M11 and also both town centres Access is very easy and checking in is the perfect system in place for someone who arrives late The landlord is a good man and very accommedating Will definetly stay again when needed

Lovely place and location. Clean tidy all round parking no problem. Continental breakfast was ideal for us as we could have it later than other guests. Plenty to eat. Messages from owner about locks and entry sent well in advance so we could get in straight away. Room clean and tidy with fridge, always useful.

First night tv worked fine but because more people stayed second night the tv wifi kept dropping out so couldnt watch it. The sink in the bathroom is far too small for washing in. Bathroom door lock was on the fireplace not that we needed it but needs mending for future guests. Rear carpark was full when we returned second night but road parking readily available.

The room, the outdoor space, the lounge and the kitchen. I liked how the house was wrapped in nature.

There was no fan in my room. I sweated all 3 nights.

Was more like a hostel, scruffy entrance and corridor. TV had poor aerial connection. We decided to return home after our evening event rather than stay the night as did not feel comfortable staying there.

Plenty to choose from for the breakfast, cereal, yoghurt, different breads for toasting, with butter portions and selection of jams all in the fridge. Separate fridge & freezer to store your personal foods, decent dining area (conservatory) and nice communal lounge area.

Lack of communication ahead of chrvk in date. Had to chase for arrival time confirmation. Nobody there on arrival - Self Service Run down with very dirty carpets in hallways and stairs. Damage to walls, doors, furniture etc Uncomfortable bed No information in rooms

Shared bathroom and cold shower but I arrived late

Great location, was very quiet despite being close to a main road. Beautiful garden and surrounding trees made it feel enclosed with nature which was calming. The kitchen with free breakfast and lounge space was very inviting. Clear, given instructions from host..even if we only saw other guests and no staff.

Noisy from other guests. From my room I could hear it clearly. However, it stopped around midnight. Very musky smell in one of our rooms. Wasn't to sure if it was due to abit of uncleaniness or something else. Ensuite looked very tired unfortunately. Quite small, peeling from ceiling so was abit hesitate to use shower(fan didn't seem to come on when using toilet). Lack of staff around, which felt like if we had trouble at all would be hard to get ahold of someone quickly(again, not sure on response time if we did).

Closeness to Stansted airport.

No staff available all done by codes on doors. Also no lift to upper floors. My door open with key inside, I put my handbag and other things I was carrying and went back into corridor to get my suitcase, the door shut and locked behind me. As phone now in locked room and no staff, I was in a bad situation, if not for another guest letting me use her phone I wouldn’t have been able to get back in the room, ridiculous situation.

Kein Hotel, eher ein Hostel! Es sind keine Angestellten vor Ort und das Frühstück besteht aus Selbstbedienung an Müsli, Milch und Toast mit Marmelade. Die Joghurts waren schon alle als wor kamen und es muss selbst abgewaschen werden. Im Badezimmer waren die Bodenfließen in der Dusche gesprungen und die Tür unten durch die Nässe aufgequollen.

Very clean , spacious bedroom and adequate en-suite.

Mess left in kitchen by other guests even though instructions request that guests wash up after themselves.

Hard to find as post code in sat nav sent us wrong telephoned host and all he said was yeh get that a lot put it in ur phone maps. No kettle In room but help yourself in kitchen. Because of hot weather no fan in room tv stations kept on losing signal

Very nice situation. Not expensive. Helpful staff (via WhatsApp).

Quite basic. Didn’t read that the bathrooms are shared (my fault). The property is very tired and needs a bit more maintenance. Didn’t bother with the basic breakfast but a good facility if you want to take your own.

Doesn't feel welcome at all, awful room that is in need for some renovation, a cold shower. The break was meh at best. Far sure the wordt experience I ever had in a hotel

I liked it because it’s close to the airport. It’s only a 14–17 minute drive and very easy to get to.

Upon arrival, I found that my room had been given to another guest. After contacting the owner, I was offered a different room, which, in my opinion, did not match the quality I had paid for. The room was extremely noisy. I could constantly hear the entrance doors opening and closing, the wooden stairs creaking, and people walking in the room above. Every sound carried through the building, making it impossible to sleep properly or relax. Overall, I was very disappointed with my stay.

Easy to check in, comfy bed and nice shower. Easy to park. The breakfast area was well stocked with cereals and yoghurts which was great for a quick breakfast before check out.

The room and shared kitchen was a little tired looking overall, as guests were expected to clean up their own pots and pans it was a little concerning whether things were actually clean in the cupboards.

I have stayed twice before,so new what to expect,except this time I had a single room.the room was fine,but not so keen on sharing a bathroom. also i was not catered for my allergy.

Standard double room dirty with spider webs and shared bathroom. Shower drain blocked so you end up in a puddle. No hot or warm shower temperature. Disgusting. Self check in and self check out service at hotel. I contacted hotel number for shower temperature and blocked drain and had no response after 10 hours. Very poor service. I have stayed at the hotel every year for 3 years but the quality of service and rooms are truly poor this time. I will not be staying there ever again.

Decoration very basic..in need of a tidy up. Bathroom totally unsuitable.. sink too small, no place to hang anything ...no place to put anything..lack of shelving. Shower too big in relation to room. This room ideal for a workman working away from home but not a weekend stay over for a couple! Very noisy due to wooden flooring ...a few mats would soften it!.

I had some family staying but could not accommodate everyone, so I booked a few rooms here as it was nearby and reasonably priced. The place itself was beautiful, rooms had period features, lounge and kitchen were very nice areas, all clean and tidy. The rooms were en suite and were clean. The location was good in a quiet area. I read the reviews beforehand, so I was aware that it was more of a guest house than a hotel, and the breakfast was basic and self-service. The check-in process was easy, I received good communication from the owner and was able to pick up the keys in advance, as the family was arriving quite late. Lots of parking space available.

I probably should have thought about it beforehand, but I did not check which floor the rooms were on and if there was a lift, so two family members struggled with the stairs, which were quite steep. I'm sure if I had asked in advance, this could have been changed, so it is not a criticism, just something to be aware of when booking. The building smelt slightly musty, and family said mattresses weren't the most comfortable. There was a bit of noise from other guests, but to be fair, this could happen in any accommodation. Another thing to be aware of is just inside the main door there is a kind of sunken area with a door mat. The area was well lit and it was visible, but still felt it was a bit of a trip hazard.

I like breakfast and common areas the same as the cleanest of the place

I didn't like at all the fact you can't lock your door from inside for a woman who travels solo is definitely not safe, the mattress needs to be changed, a lot of bulk and the worse the cold water. A hot shower is the minimum.

I booked a single and the room was very small. Outdated decor and a very squeaky bed. I found the place very noisy with slamming doors and hearing guests in the next room. There were too many stairs, although my fault, I could have asked for a room on a lower floor. I would have preferred my own bathroom, not sharing a communal one. Advertised as a hotel and guesthouse, I did not meet any staff or host.
