I visited AKOYA Star Lounge for sunset drinks, and it was an unforgettable experience. The panoramic ocean views are absolutely breathtaking, making it one of the most beautiful spots in Phuket to enjoy golden hour. I’ve stayed at most of the top 5-star hotels in Phuket, but this one beats them all. It’s hard to find another place with so many beautiful views and Instagram spots inside one amazing hotel. The butler service is excellent, and you can enjoy breakfast right in your villa. There’s a private pool with a jacuzzi, plus a separate jacuzzi in the bathroom. The staff are amazing, and the food is absolutely delicious. This hotel is perfect if you prefer a quiet, uncrowded place with a very personal approach. Thank you to the entire V villas team for such an unforgettable stay!

This is BY FAR the best hotel I've ever stayed at. Nothing comes close. A handful of luxury villas, incredible views, peaceful. Eden like. Service quality is surreal. Grace our butler knew our names as soon as we arrived. We had every need seen to without asking. The staff are super friendly, warm, feels like home. It was quite honestly an honor to stay at such a place and has set the bar to a level nowhere else can match. 10/10 recommend. Not staying here is a mistake.

The butler no need for him, I ask for private dinner in the room they don’t have, I reserved romantic dinner in the restaurant then they tell me the chef can’t do the set menu, I thought after all that they will give discount for the restaurant, spa any thing same the other hotels I had stayed on they didn’t. The value of the money I spend is too much for the experience I had so am disappointed and I will not come again or advise any one to stay with them

This hotel is absolutely stunning, there was almost literally nothing serious to complain, almost everything was absolutely perfect. First of all I would like to thank our butler Irainy, who was a massive help for us. Not only did she take care of even the smallest requirements, but she also suggested us restaurants, activities, dishes, made bookings, scheduled our rides, brought us ice for drinks without even asking, and showed thorough and real passion for her work and made sure our stay was as pleasant as possible. For the first time ever, did we feel like we made a real connection with a staff member from a hotel, her service, kindness, attention and companionship was so good. She even sent good morning texts and many times asked how our day was going. And not to mention the spectacular birthday set up in our room, that was way beyond my expectations! Thank you Irainy, you are a gift to the hotel! I would also like to thank the kind ladies at the Akoya rooftop bar who very quikcly learned our preferences and orders, and had a real passion for their work. Unfortunately I do not remember her name anymore, but if you read this, you will recocgnize yourself from always offering to take pictures of us and ask if I felt like ordering some more vanilla ice cream (as I always did). Thank you! The hotel could not be more private. If you feel like it, you never have to face another human during your stay. Even if you go to the main pool, you will perhaps see 1 couple by the pool, or even more likely nobody. There are only about 20 villas if I remember correctly, each of which is massive and has a stunning and huge pool, so most people stay there during days. You barely see anyone at breakfast either, maybe 2-4 families / couples ar busiest times. Also the villas are spread out perfectly, so you cannot see or hear anyone else either. The villas are super modern, look and feel brand new (as they are) and are huge in size. We had a 1 bedroom sea view villa, which had a massive 15m long private infinity pool and a huge terrace for tanning. THere were 2 sunbeds, 2 chairs and a dining table. The villas have perfect sunshien from sunrise till 3 pm. After that you might have to move to mainpool for the last hours. The sea view is a must, it is 100x better than the non- sea view. The design of the villas was one of the best highlights. They are filled with modern tech from Japanese toilets, to smart speakers and tvs. Everything inside the villa feels as if you were in a modern LA mansion. The bed was one of the best I have ever slept in. The staff communicates non stop with each other across the hotel. It was unbeliveable that on each morning except once, our room was cleaned during our breakfast visit at the main restuarant. During that 45 minute slot, it was cleaned every single time, even tho we switched the timing daily. That shows that they really focus on your best experience, and try to be as seamless as possible, by communicating with everyone all the time. The breakfast is as good as you want it to be. There is a solid buffet, and an a la carte to order. Everything is included if you have booked the breakfast rate. The buggy service is also an excellent aspect. They can drive you on demand from your villa ro anywhere on the resort, or to even near by stores and restaurants. We regularly used the buggy to get to 7/11 or restaurants or even to lobby. Just ask your butler to have a buggy and it will arrive in 1-2 minutes at your door or at you requested location. The location is very laid back and quiet. Nothing like Karon, Kata etc. There are only a few hotels, and a few restaurant within walking distance. The area is very safe, and feels like a ”home avenue”. People drive with buggies on the road etc. It can get a bit boring if you seek adventure or attractions, but it does offer perfect relaxation and calmness. Even tho our stay was excellent, there is always room for improvement. I will shortly list the downsides / short comings. 1. The omelettes / scrambled eggs were the worst I have ever had. I tried to find out what was wrong with them each morning by asking to skip ingredients one by one, but never figured it out. The scrambled eggs were extremely dry and the ham they used was just not good for eggs. Thats all I found out. 2. The breakfast should be served in a logical order, not pancakes first and coffee last. It was just pure luck what was brought first from the order. 3. The beach is righ there, but you need to take 500 stairs to get there, literally. We (20-25 year old athletes) were tired after visiting the beach once. 4. One evening I killed a large insect on top of my night stand lamp. I left it there for cleaners to pick up. However, it took them 5 days to find it, even tho it was the size of half a thumb. That showed that even tho they cleaned the room very well, wiping dust and small attention to detail was definitely missing. 5 days without noticing it or wiping dust from night stands is not great. Also, they did not tidy charging cords, or line up anything on your tables. That felt a bit cheap, as most much cheaper hotels do that always. However, I do must state that they do clean the room otherwise very well, they even wash the pool daily… 5. The villas have very little to no wind. Also the wooden terrace floor attracts tons of heat and makes the terrace area unwalkable bare feet during days of sunshine. It also heats the area up very effectively, so the temperature is much higher than by the beach. The same issue is at the main pool. 6. An outdoor shower would be a great addition to the villas. There is room for that.

An absolute gem of a hotel with incredible attention to detail. The rooms are huge and full of amenities. First hotel I’ve ever stayed in that has dressing robes and pyjamas! Each room has own butler( ours was Jay) who literally couldn’t do enough for us and was so responsive on WhatsApp. The main pool was beautiful with a lovely amenity tray set down as you arrived poolside (included cold towels, fruit kebab, water, Evian face spray and small Suncream). The main bar and restaurant were really ambient and served fantastic cocktails. Breakfast was incredible! Sparkling wine and bloody Mary’s on ice at the buffet and a great selection of freshly cooked options. The rooftop pool was stunning and the live dj created a great atmosphere/vibe at sunset. The spa was also fantastic! Direct access to a great beach (as long as you don’t mind steps but if you do, the staff will take you on a golf buggy Would recommend in a heartbeat.

We had an amazing stay in a hill view pool Villa, the accomodation was second to none, just fabulous. Clean and all the modern things you expect in an up class accomodation. The bed was very comfortable and the pool area divine: Our butler Grace was just a delight, and followed up on all our enquires. The drivers were on hand to take us into the small restaurant strip,- and a simple WhatsApp call to he collected. We ate at the restaurant most nights and was beautiful, we had breakfast in villa each morning. We will return

Fantastic rooms ,service ,views and food. The butler Jay made the entire stay seamless. The rooms were large and very well appointed . All the amenities were there and more if requested for . The food was great and they made what you requested for if out of menu. The service was warm and efficient in all departments. The views were mind blowing.

We stayed four days in Phuket for my husband to play golf, and we need a nice accommodation for myself to relax and enjoy the nature. We picked V Villas because it is relatively new, since our last time to Phuket was before covid. The villa — elegant and contemporary style with very practical design, the indoor space is well divided into four areas: living, sleeping, dressing and bathing. Each area is spacious and spotless clean. Love the double size jacuzzi bath tub, though the shower is sometimes weak. Our room is the Mountain View room and we really enjoyed the greenery scene. Luckily we had the sunny weather during our stay and we could swim in the private pool anytime during the day. I think the size of the villa is good enough for the two of us, and that we had everything we need, wine and dine and wellness, for a comfortable stay. This villa is one of the best, top notch accommodation we had ever stayed in Phuket. The staff — every villa has its own butler taking care of the guest. Our Butler, Kitty, is very friendly, attentive and helpful. Save us all the hassle for arranging the transportations to golf courses, restaurants and the Old Town. Sent me a surprise birthday cake with a pair of cute personalized teddy bears when my bday coming up in the following week after I left. Always stand by whenever we needed his assistance. Very impressive indeed. The Spa — thanks Margi, Am and Jose who gave me the most wonderful spa experience. The bamboo massage by Margi was soothing and relaxing. The Thai massage by Am healed my shoulder pain. The Chakra sound healing and therapy by Jose took me to a new level of relaxation. The Spa is a must go during the stay! Dining — breakfast is sumptuous and delicious. A wide varieties of selection ranging from continental to local Thai food. Personally think the western food did exceptionally well. The rooftop bar also is a must go. We enjoyed the beautiful sunset facing the beach, their signature cocktail definitely not to miss! I like the Araksa teas they served in the villa. I love drinking tea and they are no ordinary tea bags! Highly recommend this hotel. Will definitely visit again.

As a couple based in HK who has an annual tradition for resort-get aways, we are no stranger to Phuket resorts. Nonetheless, V Villas has stood out to be hands down the best resort we have ever stayed at. From the interior design to the plating of the dishes, V villa boasts a more modern and western aura that no other Phuket resorts can offer. When we look out of our room, we could see a full sea view of the beautiful coastline of Phuket, while whenever we switched our attention back to the interior of the room, it felt more like we were inside a high class hotel from Europe. The floor height of our room was quite high, which added a more spacious feeling to the room, and the whole layout of the room made the stay very comfortable because it was very practical. The living room area is great for dining while watching some TV, the closet area is spacious enough to fit all your clothes comfortably etc. The activities provided were all quite memorable. The yoga class we went to down was fun, the rooftop bar provided a stunning view with cocktails that we felt were on par with the very top lounges we could find in Hong Kong, while the most special activity is the cooking class - taught by the head chef Nong at the V Villa’s restaurant - who was trained under michelin chefs. No need to feel intimated even if you’re a beginner at cooking though, the chef is super friendly and warm, and the class is tailored to the level suitable even for beginners. The most stand out feature about this Villa is in their staff. It is the small details behind the service that made all the difference, because this group of staff made us feel like the most important guests in the world. Our room has a designated butler, Boat, who not only is 24 hours on call, but is somehow always aware of where you might be in the hotel, and will show up from time to time, out of the blue, just to make sure your schedule for the rest of the day or the next day is fully sorted out. Based on such level of attentiveness to your daily schedule, whenever you’re out from doing an out-of-room activity, even if it is just to grab a drink from your bar, every single time you come back to your room you will realize the room has been remade. Minny, one of the server from the restaurant / bar knows our preferences well enough to be able to memorize our favourite seating area at the rooftop bar, and that my wife prefers sparkling water while I always go for stilled. Not to mention she is extremely skilled at taking photos. When we went for Yoga with the trainer Nom, it was raining hard and he made sure all the guests had an umbrella while walking back to our buggy, even though it made himself soaking wet. It also felt a bit overwhelming to have a Michelin trained chef to teach us noobs how to cook, not to mention they made special arrangements to store our cooked food at their restaurant’s fridge, just to reheat and then re-serve the unfinished portion to us during dinner time, as we couldn’t finish all of it in one seating when we first finished cooking all that food. Everyday we went for breakfast it felt like we were welcomed back to this well trained group of staff, with special props to Rome, Asma, MAMA, Dora, who never get tire of making sure you have tried every single unique feature from their breakfast buffet, such as the customized tea brewing service, as well as choosing your own fruits to make refreshing juices from. Taking into account all of the above, is this place worth the price premium to most other resorts in Phuket? I believe one’s joyful experience is difficult to put a price tag on. However, I’d just like to share this brief comment I made to my wife during our trip: “it is quite unfortunate that I got a cold throughout most of this trip. But then, this hotel is just so great that I’d pick this trip over any other resort-getaways we’ve had, even though I was not sick for all those other trips.”

"Spacious" doesn't begin to describe the beautiful rooms. And "well-appointed" doesn't even come close to how amazing they are. The personal pool is as large as a standard backyard pool. The (huge) bed and bedding is to die for. I'm back home now and still imagine myself in that bed to help me fall asleep. The property is peaceful and the food is all superlative -- along with the cheerful amazing service and attentive butler.

This is a zen location to escape to, so by definition it's away from it all. But this can be a bit inconvenient if you want to go to other areas for activities. Thai Town is about 25 min. Patong Beach is about 50 minutes. The good news is that their ride app (Grab) is super fast and efficient. We never waited for one more than a few minutes. And it's super cheap.
