Easy to find despite the area road construction. Front staff pleasant & helpful Parking plentiful and easy access, payment easy once the system was explained. Room spacious and view, while not lake-front, was fine Beds comfortable, linens clean Had dinner on top floor, Restaurant excellent Breakfast above average

Wasn't able to participate in breakfast. We used this facility because it was across street from UPMC Hamot Hospital. I had an early morning appointment and our home is 2 1/2 hours away. The evening walk around the Bay area was beautiful and relaxing. The facility was extermly clean and accommodating. All staff encounter were very pleasant.

Parking. I don't understand why guest of Hotel ahve to pay for parking.

I didnt like my view from my windows, i was looking at the back of a big hospital & on the other side was an old smoke stack looking at a street view. They charge 14$ per day to park now

Friendly staff, very clean and beautiful inside. Great location. Breakfast area a little small for the amount of people but the staff kept it full of fresh food and coffee! Loved the location as you can walk and see the water, ride the pirate ship and play mini golf.

Small breakfast area/ more options. And you had to pay additional for parking when booking it said parking included.

The breakfast was good. The employees were very friendly and helpful. olivers beer garden was a very nice place to sit and relax and listen to music.

Extremely loud music playing through hotel from property beer garden into late hours close to midnight, child unable to sleep. Unable to process booking.com payment forcing me to sit in lobby and resolve on my own with booking.com before even letting me into the room which was extremely embarrassing and ultimately the hotels fault for not knowing how to separate pre paid room for incidentals and parking fees.

We come to Erie once a month to visit my husband's mother in Fairview and stay at this property every time we can (it is very popular and often full). We like the location, on the Bayfront, very convenient and centrally located (and not near the Mall, the casinos or the Downs, which fir us is a plus). If available and in your budget, we recommend the studios with a kitchenette and wet bar: they are great! Lots of space, very comfortable and with beautiful views of the Bay! The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The complimentary breakfast is very good and abundant, and served in a bright open area. And Oliver's, the wonderful restaurant on the top floor, is great: the menu (brunch and dinner) is splendid and delicious, the views of the Bay are fantastic and the service is top shelf! (We go at least once per stay even if we are not staying at the property :):):)). A special thanks to the wonderful Cherelle at the Front desk and to John at Oliver's: you both make our stays st the Hampton Erie Bayfront feel extra special! :)

A small detail: the lighting in the rooms is not sufficient and even with all lights on the rooms remain dark. Adding a light, such as a big floor lamp to the room on the side across from the desk would be a great improvement to what are otherwise very pleasant and well appointed rooms. Also the hotel charges for parking even if you do not use the Hampton's parking facilities or if you park on the street.

Lots of green grass for our dogs. Sidewalks all the way around the hotel. Sidewalks from hotel down to the pier.

Nothing the hotel could control but the construction out front was not fun in the busy hours.

I really liked the room! We got a king size room and I thought the size of the room was excellent, the bathroom was very clean, housekeeping did a wonderful job!

There was only a chair in the king size instead of a small 2 person couch. The couch just makes it easier to set the bags someplace other than the floor is all.

Nothing it sucks I stood there 2/8/2026 and these thief’s kept my $250 deposit saying they smelled smoke when I don’t smoke anything weed cigarettes of any kind I even left early around 9 am they had it out for me when I checked in the clerk emphasized that because I was from Erie that they have a $250 deposit ok if I know they got my $250 you think ima be that dumb to smoke but the bad thing about it is I don’t smoke anything so yea I’m in my bad and I’m not gonna let this go that’s the whole issue they so Use to mf. It doing nothing not Nancy son !!

Very laid back in the best way possible. Environment felt homie. Smell of the food from the rooftop restaurant was so nice and the food up top was delicious.

Location of the hotel was excellent. Location of the breakfast was good also ; ) The breakfast was the usual hotel breakfast: eggs, sausage, potatoes, make your own waffle etc. The area was clean and plenty of food.

A grade A for your basic hotel.

The desk employee was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable. The shower controls at the back of the tub are a great idea.

The parking was ridiculously expensive considering the cost of the room. It's Erie PA, not New York City. Also, consider explaining how the parking works. I was able to check in on my phone, but it did not say that my room key would let me into the parking lot. I had to pay the parking separately. The hotel made it right, but had I known, I would have grabbed my room key first.

Breakfast needs improvement. Pillows were too small. Shower head size was too small. Need pens in rooms - had to ask cleaning staff to borrow one.

We booked a water view room and the room we got was facing the wharf. When we went to the front desk they said there is no room with a water view and any water view rooms are of the wharf

Breakfast was great other than the dark brown bananas. Very clean, friendly staff and it is right next to the conventional center which was great and so convenient.

Fruit for breakfast in the morning was not fresh fruit. Bananas were dark brown. The round a bout in front of the hotel was small. Wish it was a little bigger for cars.

The $250 incidentals fee because I live locally. I get the point of it, but that’s pretty extreme. I was staying with my kids and wife, not a bunch of randoms. It sort of put a sour taste in my mouth, having to sign the waiver and pay the deposit. There must have been quite an issue with people wrecking the place for this policy to be implemented. We kept a running joke about how we had to be quiet or we’d be charged $250… I’ve never seen a rule sheet like that at a hotel before and I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels over the years.

The staff member Anthony was amazing, he was nice and very professional. The hotel was quiet and so clean. Everything was so nice, amazing room with an amazing view.

The only thing I didn't care for was having to use the key card for the elevator. I can understand the safety aspect for it though.

First off, Oliver’s Rooftop restaurant is one of my faves, and it’s at this hotel. And one of my favorite photos is in the lobby. Rooms are nice, great view of the lake. Keep in mind that the roads around there are being worked on, so lots of construction. But didn’t hear any noise. Parking is still across the street.

Our king room was extremely spacious, clean and updated with a beautiful view of the lake. Comfortable bed and pillows. The free breakfast had an excellent variety of hot and cold foods. Staff was friendly and location was close walking to the main downtown restaurants.

The construction was a bit loud and inconvenient.

Great location for sight-seeing & restaurants! We drove about 30 minutes out of town to go to a couple wineries. A huge construction project was nearby but did not hinder driving. Very noisy from construction even during the night !

What a variety for breakfast. Hampton Inns are known for quality meals. Free coffee and tea available all day. Room very satisfactory. Generous size, Comfy bed, good bedside lighting, plenty of outlets to recharge devices. Loved walking outside to Bicentennial tower, and watching sunset.
