Die Gastgeberin Candi war sehr herzlich und zuvorkommend. Wir hatten ein normales Doppelzimmer gebucht, haben dann aber ein kostenloses Upgrade in die Marrakesch Suite bekommen, das war super! Die Suite war sehr liebevoll eingerichtet und das Bad ein absoluter Hingucker. WLAN war super und das Frühstück hat auf ganzer Linie überzeugt. Es gab frische Blaubeer-Pancakes, englisches Frühstück und Kleinigkeiten am Buffet. Es gibt (mindestens) zwei süße Katzen, die den Gästen gegenüber sehr aufgeschlossen sind.

Durch Regenwetter gab es eine sehr hohe Luftfeuchtigkeit im Zimmer. Alles hat sich kalt und klamm angefühlt. Es gibt keine Heizung im Zimmer. Gefreut haben wir uns aber über die beheizbare Matratzenauflage. Sonst gab es nichts zu beanstanden.

Eine sehr gemütliche Lodge, mit tollem Frühstück und einer netten Chefin, Candy! Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt, es war alles sehr herzlich und mit viel Liebe zum Detail.

While three consecutive days of the same menu did bring a slight sense of menu repetition, the quality and care in preparation were consistently excellent. 🌿 Location & Gardens The lodge’s location is ideal for exploring Sabie and the Panorama Route, yet it retains a tranquil, retreat‑like atmosphere. Leider trotz der Kälte fast keine Möglichkeit zum heizen. Alles ist ziemlich in die Jahre gekommen und bräuchte eine Renovierung

It's a one off experience, wonderfully and cozy (yet spacious) guesthouse in Sabie. The views from the pool/terras are wonderfull, and the host is very friendly! Breakfast was exceptional, everything we could wish for!

Wir hatten ein sehr schönes, großes, etwas rustikales Zimmer. Das Frühstück war umfangreich und sehr lecker. Die beiden Inhaber haben uns stets mit wertvollen Tipps versorgt, bei allen Fragen weitergeholfen.

Posto e' molto bello e le camere belle, ampie e comode. E' un luogo ideale in stagione calda perche' ha molti spazi all'aperto e una bellissima piscina, che però noi non abbiamo potuto utilizzare. La nostra camera era dotata di hot tub pronto per essere usato e molto apprezzato. Colazione molto buona e ricca. La posizione e' ottima per spezzare il viaggio tra Johannesburg e il Kruger park

Schöne Unterkunft mit vielen verschiedenen Bereichen. Es steckt viel Liebe zum Detail in der Unterkunft! Wunderschöne Speiseraum, tolles Frühstück mit viel Auswahl. Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig!

Es war sehr kalt im Zimmer. Außer der Heizdecke gab es keine Heizmöglichkeit.

Wonderful stay – highly recommended We had a wonderful stay at The Sabie Town House. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by very kind, friendly and professional staff, always available and happy to help. The location is beautiful, surrounded by a peaceful and pleasant environment. Our room was beautiful, comfortable and very well maintained, and we really enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was excellent, very tasty and generous, with a great selection of food. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and we would definitely love to come back in the future. Highly recommended!

De eigenaresse is erg gastvrij, de accommodatie is erg origineel en de ligging is prima.

Het was er 5 graden en er was geen verwarming, waardoor we er niet konden verpozen. Gelukkig had het uitstekende restaurant waar we gingen eten wel de open haard aangestoken om het voor ons comfortabel te maken.

Zeer vriendelijk welkom en prachtige locatie. Echt een gezellige, goed verzorgde plek. Pooltafel en lounges zowel binnen als buiten. Gezellige, huiselijke ontbijttafel.

De kamer was zeer ruim en mooi ingericht. Het was wel wat koud maar we hadden elektrische dekens waardoor we heerlijk sliepen.

The room was beautiful and very spacious. Nice big double bed with good mattress. Candi the host is a very friendly and warm person. Breakfast was fantastic and the dining room has a nice warm, friendly atmosphere.

Ein tolles guesthouse - persönlich geführt und Candi ist sehr aufmerksam und gibt Tipps . Wir hatten ein Upgrade auf die Marrakesch Suite - einfach ein Traum! Die Heizdecken im Bett sind spitze!

Nachts wurde es empfindlich kalt und es gab keine Heizung.

De accommodatie had gezellige faciliteiten, maar er werd helaas geen moeite gedaan die te benutten.

ik schrijf de review n.a.v. commentaar van de gasten (ik verbleef er zelf niet, ben de reisagent). Er werd gras gebrand, dit stonk enorm en sloeg de kamers in en op onze luchtwegen. We konden daarom ook niet thuis eten. Dit is buiten de schuld van het hotel, maar ze hadden kunnen waarschuwen vooraf de ramen dicht te doen en meer hulp kunnen aanbieden. We kregen alleen een appje dat we de ventilator maar aan moesten zetten. het voelde alsof men neit begaan was met ons. Verder was het heel koud, maar er werd geen vuurtje gestookt om warmte te creeren, zoals wel vaak bij andere locaties het geval was. Er werd geen moeite gedaan het gezellig te maken voor de gasten. Ook waren de kamers heel vochtig en met een dikke laag stof. De hygiene liet echt te wensen over. de accommodation overall was gezellig, maar er werd geen moeite gedaan het voor de gasten warm en gezellig te maken. Ik verbaas me over de reviews. Ik stuur foto's mee van de afgebladderde muren, schimmel, het stof, de brand en de lekkende wasbak.

Dit is een toplocatie! Wij sliepen in de zebrakamer en deze was zo mooi! Het bed was heerlijk en alles was supermooi ingericht. Er staat ook een jacuzzi die al lekker warm was toen we toekwamen. Je hebt ook een eigen terras met ligstoelen die een prachtig uitzicht hebben. Door omstandigheden waren we er vroeger dan het incheckuur maar dat was absoluut geen probleem. Candi boekte ook een restaurant voor ons. Dit was een hele leuke ervaring want het was een typisch ZArestaurant en zelf zou ik er nooit gekomen zijn.

Het is een beetje fris in de badkamer dus een elektrisch vuurtje daar zou misschien wel een goed idee zijn.

De host was zeer behulpzaam en vriendelijk. De heating blanket op de bedden kwam zeer goed van pas 👍

Heel sfeervolle accommodatie, vriendelijke en behulpzame host. Lekker ontbijt met yoghurt, fruit, granen, toast, jam, chocolade pasta. En de host dame maakt je warme ontbijtje helemaal naar wens klaar.

Breakfast was brilliant. There were days when we left before breakfast but the lodge packed sandwiches, yogurt, fruit juice and apples for us. it was very good. The room was big and very comfortable. The beds had electric blankets which was nice. There was also a heated jacuzzi which was a huge bonus. The lodge is in a quite area but close to shops and restaurants.

We only had 1 TV channel. It would have been nice to have a microwave in the kitchenette to warm food.

We’re very happy we chose this place for our five-night stay in Sabie. The host was very welcoming, and the room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The shower had plenty of hot water, and although it was quite cold during our stay, the heated blankets made a big difference. The breakfast was delicious, and while we didn't get to enjoy the pool or the outdoor relaxation areas because of the weather, they looked beautiful. Parking was convenient, and getting in and out of the property was easy. We would happily stay here again.

Sabie Guesthouse was geweldig! Prachtige inrichting en kamer, met een fantastische badkamer. Zeer vriendelijk eigenaren en personeel. Ontbijt prima, uitzicht, zwembad en buitenbar (met een boomtoilet) was geweldig. Hier hadden we graag wat langer gebleven. We komen graag nog een keer terug.

Stank uit de badkamer. Het wassen van de auto door de zoon van de gastheren (op hun voorstel) was erg duur vergelijken met professionele bedrijven.

Wir hatten die Marrakesch-Suite und waren total begeistert vom Flair wie 1001 Nacht! Ein Badezimmer wie aus dem Märchenbuch, das Himmelbett bequem und groß, der direkte Zugang zum Pool fantastisch!

Sehr freundliches Personal/Gastgeber, die uns im Voraus kontaktiert haben und für uns bereits eine Reservierung in einer Restaurantempfehlung übernommen haben (das Essen dort war super). Stilvoll eingerichtete Zimmer und Unterkunft mit Einflüssen aus aller Welt. Super Lage als Ausgangs-oder Endpunkt für eine Erkundung des Blyde Canyon.

Das einzige, was uns nicht so gut gefallen hat, war dass das Zimmer etwas kalt war (es gab keine Heizung und nur einen Kamin, der aber nicht benutzt wurde). Dafür gab es aber beheizbare Matratzen im Bett, die das wieder ausgeglichen haben.

The welcome we received when we arrived after a long drive (and we were late) set the tone. Candi was so helpful, welcoming and friendly and remained so throughout our stay. After 3 days we felt like part of the family. The property in itself is quirky and interesting. We had so many options for areas to relax in. Finally, it would be hard to beat their fabulous breakfasts. Highly recommended !!!!! Alan & Jeanie

Perfect ontbijt

Very spacious rooms, beautiful and intricate house, good breakfast, everything well organised. Candi is very friendly, always with a smile. The place feels safe, although at night it's a bit dark (no street lights), so driving is recommended. At Candi's advice we had dinner at Wild Fig Tree, which is a good restaurant. This is a very good base to do the Panorama Route from.

Some small negatives: As with many other SA hotels/guesthouses it could use more warm yellow bulbs, rather than the cold white ones. The Wifi was quite bad, very slow and for a bit didn't work at all. There is decent signal if you're on a 4G/5G plan.

-nach regnerischen Nächten ist die Luftfeuchtigkeit sehr hoch in den Zimmern. Das Housekeeping hat aber in unserer Abwesehenheit gelüftet. Dann war’s ok.

The staff and the host were polite and friendly. The breakfast was good and for me was the best thing about the stay.

The Kudu room was a disappointment. The furniture and bedding can do with a bit of a upgrade. Only seating was dirty and room smelt musky and of old cigarette smoke.Bed was most uncomfortable. Being right next to the main entrance door and open lounge, it was not very private.Though I will admit,noise levels was not as bad as i expected. Bathroom window faces main door and bed faces the outside deck and bar.Curtain had to be drawn.all the time.Toilet door keeps banging table.To me,I was given probably the worst room,and I was very surprised when Candi told me that it was the only room available. I made the booking on the 15th March for my stay on the 5th of April.

Nous avons déposé nos valises à Sabie pour une nuit avant de retourner à Johannesburg. La propriétaire nous a accueillis avec dynamisme et gentillesse, et a même réservé le restaurant pour notre repas du soir. Je donne 10/10 pour son attitude et son professionnalisme. Le petit déjeuner est trés bien également.

En revanche, je ne peux pas attribuer la même note au confort des chambres : certains points doivent être améliorés. Nous avons constaté une odeur d’humidité dans les chambres, ainsi qu’un problème d’écoulement d’eau dans le lavabo d'une chambre. La lumière extérieure était très intense et les rideaux ne suffisaient pas à créer une obscurité agréable pour dormir. Une autre chambre proposée était, elle, trop proche d’une fontaine à eau. Fontaine et lumières extérieures sont restées allumées toute la nuit, ce qui n’a pas été très reposant. Cependant, le grand sourire et la grande gentillesse des propriétaires compensent en partie ces points à revoir.

Regarding this B&B nothing. But the roads in the Village are bad. Big potholes. But that is a common problem in SA. The touristic panaroma route is a good Road.
