Clean room Comfortable bed Close to centre Late bar
Couldn't open the window in room. It was a chilly night s9 wasn't a big issue
Clean and modern bathroom, lovely breakfast spread.
The bed was too soft for my liking. The wi-fi was too slow.
A good location from my point of view and a reasonable cost.
everything
nothing
Efficient set up
Not a great link from car park for older people with luggage
Hotel location was convenient, and the staff was nice.
I floor weren't as clean, and there was staining/dirt in the bathroom and room, which weren't clean, so I wasn't very comfortable with the cleanliness of the room.
Very modern and comfortable
Nothing
stayed here a few times, very nice
Lovely room
Windows didn’t open and couldn’t get the air conditioner to work
Size of room and very clean
Location, traffic
this Ibis is a great location exactly where we needed it, stayed here many times, great value for money
The location was brilliant & the restaurant and bar was great and value for money; and the staff were very helpful.
The air conditioning in the room wasn’t working & with not having an opening window it was sweltering. We reported the problem and given an electric fan, which did help.
Clean and central location
didn't receive a warm welcome, wasn't asked if I had been here before so had to find my own way to lift/ stairs. Very bad night sleep due to red (fire) light blinking and a green glowing light which i can only think is needed to show the way to the door in case the room is engulfed in smoke. Light didn't go off at all night.
Great value and very comfortable. Thank you :)
All good
Clean, great location..
Poor breakfast...
Clean
Location Size of room
The staff was polite and the room was cosy
No bins that I could see.
Environment
The room is too small for the price
Convenient - easy check in - price food for a Saturday night - clean - shower good and layout of bathroom good. Enough hot drink sachets. Enough hangers.
Could have been a plug socket near the mirror for hair straighteners/ dryer. Person sleeping on the left found it difficult to get out plus the bed rolled towards the middle for them.
Good location with nice cafe for breakfast and snacks.
The room was incredibly small for 3 people and not really what we expected for the price.
Its good location and value for money
When I entered to my room smell very strong weeds and smoke
The location is close to Sheffield University
Everything perfect!
Clean
Room was extremely small booked for 3 adults the room was really only for a third person to be a small child
The room was comfortable with all facilities you expect in a chain hotel in a tower block
The AC fan worked but there was no cooling. When reported to reception that they needed to call the duty engineer they looked at me blankly and did nothing. It was during the heatwave and the room windows were sealed anyway
Good location, rooms very clean, comfortable beds, nice downstairs communal area, pool table was a bonus. Family room was small but fine for a budget hotel.
Lovely thick bread for breakfast but the toaster wasn’t working properly and scrambled egg dry. Nice cappuccino.
Central and good atmosphere, clean
Small room
Served the purpose as a place to sleep and shower, not too far from the train station.
I travel solo around the UK quite a lot, and as a woman, I always worry about my safety. When I checked in to the hotel, the lady at the reception handed the key card to me, and then READ THE ROOM NUMBER OUT LOUD. This is hotel safety 101. Staff should NEVER read out the room number! There were other people in the lobby at the time. I didn't say anything as I didn't want to draw attention, but I was mortified. Additionally, the floor map hanging on the inside of my room door was supposed to have a red dot marking the room I was in, to help find the escape route in the event of an evaluation. The marker was missing. The room was a lower standard than an average Scandinavian prison cell, but I only slept there, so it served a purpose. Tea and coffee not replenished during housekeeping. Shower didn't look particularly clean.
great location, simplistic room
windows don’t open at all, rooms get really hot and stuffy in the summer making it really uncomfortable. fans were available upon request from reception but this didn’t really help cool the room down, only make it less stuffy by circulating air.
Comfortable bed, minimal but very clean room . Some water damage to bottom of bathroom door frame was literally the only worn or tired thing. Tastefully decorated lobby / bar area. Great staff. Stairwells actually smelt recently decorated. Location just within ringroad so a short walk anywhere.
Air con would probably be too cold or noisy for most people, I couldn't figure out how to adjust it using the controls. More veggie options at breakfast would be good such as veggie sausages. Yoghurt but no cut fruit.
The relation price/quality. I've read some other comments but I do not agree if you consider the price. Very convenient if you go for work. Very quiet room even if its near a viaduct. Very good breakfast served since 8:00. Not a lovely neighborhood but easily reachable from the train stations (10 minute) by free public bus.
The staff could be warmer.
Convenient and near the football stadium I was attending to on the Saturday
Nothing
Good location, clean and a decent breakfast.
Local parking was not good for overnight, had to park my car 10 mins walk away to ensure it was secure. The room was tiny for three people, like a prison cell. The staff seemed like they wanted to be elsewhere and weren’t very friendly.
Good location, modern style and comfortable
No thought to room layout, tv away to the side of the bed so unable to lay normally in bed to watch tv. No bed side table so hard to have a hot drink whilst laid on the bed; no other real option for sitting. Very limited hot breakfast; sausage, baked beans and scramble egg only.
Good service
Room a little small
Staff very hospitable.
Bed wasnt fit for purpose.
Convenient location for town centre
Nothing
A great overnight storage compartment after going to a music festival. Our friend loved that toasties were available all night.
It was all good.
Great location. Clean. Friendly staff
Clean. Nice staff. Comfy bed and good shower
Nothing
The bed was comfortable, great size bed.
The reception staff wasn't friendly at all Mould in the room,
Good location, although no parking at the hotel, there is plenty parking around and near to the hotel. Check in was quick.
The bathroom had a strong cigarette odour. When we informed reception, they were not very helpful. We were asked if we had used anything in the room - we had used the bathroom toilet, so no option to change rooms, nothing was offered to us. The receptionist said that because we had used the bathroom, they couldn’t sell the room on to anyone else - bypassing that it needed further cleaning anyway. No one offered to look at our issue so we had to ask for some air freshener to help neutralise the smell of smoke - unfortunately this didn’t help so we were forced to keep the door shut. We were told there were no more rooms available when we enquired.
Great central location. For the price it’s a great hotel. The reception / bar area was lovely, I wasn’t expecting that for the price range. The room was basic , but had the essentials and was clean and a decent size. Again for the price, I was pleasantly surprised. All the staff were super friendly and helpful. We’d definitely stay again!
I don’t have anything negative to say at all. It had everything I’d expect and more for the price.
Big room and comfy bed
Nothing
Didn’t have breakfast
Very unfriendly lady checked us in needs to learn how to be friendly to visitors
I loved everything about the hotel.
N/A
Perfect for a short overnight stay, clean and had everything needed for an overnight stay
The room was small so not great if staying more than one night
Lovely budget hotel within walking distance to the city centre. Had everything we needed for a one night stay.
Nothing
Great facilities in the room. Very clean.
Some marks and scuffs on the walls.
Room was perfect for one night, staff was very nice.
The parking spot was a 10 minute walk away in a public parking garage which made us feel very unsafe. In the end everything was fine but at first it was unpleasant. I wouldn’t feel safe alone as a woman in the night walking to my car/hotel with all of my luggage.
Central to everything very clean and the property had a bar
No parking it was a big issue for me
This hotel is very conveniently located not far from the centre of Sheffield. Nearby are plenty of shops to choose from, including a Waitrose supermarket and café, pubs, and the Moor Market which has a great array of stalls selling fresh produce as well as general non-food items, alongside a variety of eating places. The hotel itself is, for the price, well presented and has decent facilties in the foyer. The staff are friendly and helpful, and check-in was smooth and rapid. The room was clean with a comfortable bed with towelling provided. The bathroom had hand-wash and shower gel in fixed refillable containers with a pleasant aroma. There was a kettle provided along with two cups, accompanied by tea and coffee and sachets of sugar, sweetener, and milk. Also provided were decaffeinated versions of tea and coffee, which was thoughtful. A restful place to stay in a very useful location.
Admittedly, the day was one of the hottest of the year, and the air conditioning appeared to struggle to keep the room at a temperature comfortable for myself. That might just be a personal preference, however. It should be noted that the windows are non-openable if that's of interest to those planning to stay.
Lovely lounge area with comfortable seats and a pool table. Room comfortable and clean. Great localisation and good price. Can’t complain at all.
Can’t complain about anything. The only suggestion would be more veggie options for breakfast but not a biggie for me
It was clean this time round and slept like a baby
The location.
Nice cafe, tea and coffee, clean and comfortable
No free parking
I like the free popcorn and my room location being tucked away
I wish I could check out later as I had a night out and didn't arrive until 6am leaving me 5 hours to sleep, get prepared then checkout
Good location, easy to navigate to and from. Clean but a little bit of care needed in bathroom but nothing to deter from another stay. Great value for money
Nothing to dislike
Will definitely be rebooking on my next visit to Sheffield, so very glad that I chose this hotel despite so many negative reviews, the hotel was clean , modern and very safe for a solo traveller, thankyou to the manager Jo who puts her guests as top priority and works so hard to ensure her guests comfort. This hotel is newly renovated , very nice furnishings and the bed was so comfortable, room was very quiet. Lovely breakfast great selection of quality products.
Nothing
Very small rooms
Staff were friendly
Noisy residents
The room was facing some buildings and there wasn’t a voile or lace curtain only a heavy curtain which made the room dark So you couldn’t relax with the curtain open because the people in the other building can see you
For what we paid, this was a reasonable quality hotel, the public areas were good but the bedroom was a bit like a small cell, so we spent little time in it as possible.
The access to the hotel was consistently blocked by smokers and vapers. If passive smoking is your thing, you'll love it. It was very unpleasant for us though, I have asthma and heart problems and there were no avoiding it. The car park they recommend was much too far away from the hotel so we used a different one for the same price.
Location and clean
Bed and pillow
Location was walking distance from the Sheffield City Centre
Rooms were pretty basic but VFM
Immaculate. Good central location. Friendly welcoming staff Great communal area/coffee bar. Quiet! Peaceful stay! Highly recommend I stayed as a solo travelling parent two children and was perfect for what we needed! Kettle tea/coffee in room. Fresh towels Comfortable beds Peaceful quiet sleep
Everything was fine 🙂
The location is great, and it is within walking distance of the city centre. In addition, the hotel is close to both the railway station and the bus station. The room is clean, though it may not be spacious enough for a family. There are some hangers, but they cannot be moved freely to a place where ventilation is better. There is an air conditioner, which is cool during the summer, but you need to borrow a hair dryer from the reception desk since not every room has one.
There is no desk or chair in the room, which makes it hard to put stuff. In addition, the common space is quite small.
Location and price
Room too hot, AC working properly
The Hotel was friendly looking. Staff were really helpful and assisted us. (3 rooms). Communal area was spotless and breakfast was available for vegan as well.
Only disappointment was the triple room. The small bed was pull down in front of large bed so very little room also no table only stool. Kettle was on small ledge shelf with 3 cups and coffee tea sachets in box. Kettle when boilt could have tipped over. Otherwise bathroom was all clean with clean towels etc
Breakfast was of good choice and good value. The location was very good and excellent value for the price paid.
Clean room
Nothing was an excellent stay
The building, The staff was helpful
There is no parking on site, The pillows had mould on them, small rooms with plastic stool and table.
Needs better parking options, possibly shared with the premier inn next door
Good location
Uncomfortable bed room very small no dustbin in the room
Perfectly positioned for everything we planned to do during our stay.
Nothing
Close to transport Good selection for breakfast Staff helpful storing our luggage before and after check in Very good seating area for breakfast and to lounge in
Sheet on bed stained
Room was lovely, good size for solo traveller shower was hot and good pressure and the shower gel was lovely. Room was clean too.
The only down side i didn't like was uncomfortable due to the bed having a bit where everyone sits on the side had gone so could do with a new mattress in room 502,
Central
The room was tiny. The beds were uncomfortable and the hotel was tagged as having parking, which it doesn’t. I struggled to park on a side street, then when I asked at reception I was given a map which directed me to a paid car park some distance away. It’s almost false advertising.
It was very clean the cleaners do a really good job!!!
The food availability wasn’t always there food like pizza was advertised but on 3 occasions we were told we couldn’t order food because staff were on their own. Not their fault the hotels fault so don’t have food advertised if you don’t want to pay for more staff for it to be available.
Excellent location and a very spacious room with a view. A very friendly and helpful staff. A very clean facility. Especially would like to commend Adil who went far and beyond in providing help and assistance during my two week's stay.
Breakfasts could be more exciting as well as the food overall at the hotel café which was a bit rudimentary.

.
AC was not working properly. Cut off after an hour. Had to continuously restart it. Affected my.sleep
Clean and tidy
No chair in the room
convenient to get to. staff was friendly and helpful ,worth the money
all was good
Good location. Manager on departure day was knowledgable
Room was hot and air con fixed and set too high I have a major complaint in that I rang prior to check if car parking was available at the hotel and was told it was which was untrue . This caused stress and delayed my arrival at a wedding.
Close to the ring road. Within walking distance of the city.
The staff said their car park was in the city which was crazy. Thankfully there’s a parking Bee behind the hotel. The room was very small with no drawers or bedside tables. Staff were lovely and breakfast nice. Room very clean but stifling hot. Window didn’t open. Shower was lovely.
Breakfast
How hot the rooms and the building was! Also the dirt on the fan and out the aircon.
Me and my partner had to leave at 1.40am due to the heat in the room. Windows sealed shut with broken air conditioning, in a 9x9ft square box room. Heat unbearable!!
Nice bar
Central, budget accommodation with meals. Parking nearby.
Room air-con wasn’t working on this occasion
Central
Tiny rooms
Exceptional Air conditioning, worked fantastic in the hottest day of the year. Room spotless and comfortable bed.
Central budget hotel with cooled rooms, food and nearby parking
Room air-con wasn’t working on this occasion
Good location specially for halal food option.
Its not clean
Central, budget stay with nearby parking. Meals available. Room compact but clean and cool.
The room aircon wasn’t working on this occasion
The room i stayed in was really hot and unbearable to stay in for long periods of time. It was generally a lot cooler outside than inside where I stayed. Could hardly sleep. Raised the issue and was suppose to have my room changed but it never took place.
Central budget hotel with bookable parking close-by. Food available on-site and upper floors/bedrooms cooled. Great for hot-weather stays!
Clean room / bathroom & shower. Given the very hot weather the air con was excellent. Situation of the hotel was pretty good. Breakfast was pleasant enough
cooked breakfast just a little limited with no bacon or mushrooms. No site car park wasn't great though it was only a relatively short walk to the multi storey. Also, over the 4 days we spent there £48 parking was a bit steep fo our parking
Proximity to Sheffield University
