Courtyard by Marriott London City Airport

Exceptional stay as the hotel exceeded my expectations. The room was spacious, very well soundproofed, and the bed was huge and extremely comfortable with a thick mattress topper. The bathroom was also very big. The restaurant and bar downstairs were convenient, and the staff were lovely and very polite. I also really liked the refillable glass water bottles, water stations on each floor, and the Smart TV with Chromecast. The location next to London City Airport was extremely convenient, with flight arrivals and departures displayed in the lobby. The option to add a 4pm late checkout for just £30 was also a fantastic and very affordable bonus.

The main downside was the glass bathroom door with a loose lock, which meant limited privacy but not a big deal.

A big room, very good selection for dinner and breakfast big room and bathroom/shower. Very helpful staff, especially as we are travelling heavy for an extended period. Short doable walk to London City Airport with the bags.

Just finding the carpark spot to unload as google took us straight ahead at the lights instead of a turn left. But not the hotels fault.

Proximity to London City Airport, Polite and friendly staff, coincidentally the young man that held the lift open for me at train station turned out to be the young man who checked me in, The rooms are large clean and comfortable, from a price point they are very reasonable.

Great location next to the DLR. We stayed for a festival which was at Victoria Park. It was easy to get to and from the festival. The staff were so friendly, room was clean, bed was comfortable. Excellent value for money.

The only thing that was slightly uncomfortable was the frosted door/wall on the bathroom. I imagine it is fine for when staying as a couple but not ideal if staying with a friend.

Liegt fußläufig zum CityAirport London. Trotzdem waren die Zimmer ruhig. Von dem nahen Flughafen hat man kaum etwas mitbekommen. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hat versucht uns den Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu machen. Wir hatten abgesprochen, dass wir unser Gepäck dort unterstellen, da wir 3 Stunden vor Check-in ankamen, aber man hatte uns schon ein Zimmer vorbereitet. So konnten wir direkt entspannt in den Tag starten. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist umfangreich.

Da sieht jetzt jammern auf hohem Niveau, aber im Badezimmer hing ein Zettel, dass Handtücher, die getauscht werden sollen, auf den Boden geworfen werden sollen. Eigentlich wollten wir nur jeden zweiten Tag Handtüchertausch und haben sie daher hängen lassen. Trotzdem wurden jeden Tag die Handtücher getauscht.

Location. Jhasmine and Anwar were great. Good burger. Good bed and shower.

The Marriott tv connection just doesn’t work. Looking at the chat forums this appears to be a widespread longstanding issue that Marriott can’t / won’t fix

Sometimes a stay at a chain hotel is elevated from satisfactory to excellent as a result of outstanding customer service. That was the case when we stayed here in August. It was a gift for my wife's birthday as she is a keen plane spotter. Martin helped us to skip past the massive queue of people who arrived shortly after us (coach party?) but had got to reception before us. Then Tia made sure we had the absolutely best runway view room for plane spotting. these tow staff members went above and beyond to ensure we had a really enjoyable stay The room itself was super and very well equipped and for an airport hotel the quality of the food in the restaurant in the evening was outstanding. We would thoroughly recommend this place.

The cooked breakfast was like warm and could have done with being a bit hotter. There is no on-site parking, but parking is available at the nearby Travelodge for £20 per day

Very convenient location for London City Airport, which is only a short walk up the road. It was comfortable, quiet, and with a nice bar and cafe downstairs. You could also pick up food from the shops at the airport itself, if you just wanted a quick sandwich or salad. Check in and check out were fast and hassle free. Highly recommended if you need somewhere to stay before an early flight.

The room had poor air conditioning, with the very hot temps this made sleeping uncomfortable. Breakfast was not a good experience, compared to other hotels i have stayed in, this was the worst.

The hotel reception and hotel room smelt of rubbish air freshener and drainage. , The restaurant and room felt grubby. The restaurant food was not nice at all- I had pizza. We were provided with a travel cot for baby as requested but it was so mucky we couldn't use it. I wouldn't stay again.

Nice clean and big room in walking distance to LCY (which was the purpose of booking here, as we had a 7am flight the next morning). There's also a restaurant and a bar, the latter providing us with a nice Guinness as a nightcap. Will come again if we have a similar flight arrangement next time.

Well, given that probably quite a few people choose the hotel because of an early morning flight, breakfast starts pretty late for a 7am flight. But as it's optional anyways, not really an issue - book it if have the time or grab something at the airport if you don't.

So … Not the smoothest visit. Man on reception checking us in couldn’t understand our surname (it isnt complicated) so managed to check us into to somebody else’s room and charged us double. Luckily I realised this and showed them the corrrect price. He said that it was too late now and we’d be credited for what we didn’t spend upon checkout. Went to our room. The reading light I needed on the bed was broken and the terrestrial channels on the tele (not cable) weren’t working properly and kept freezing. Then downstairs for dinner. Adriana was someone I recognised immediately as someone who could get stuff done. There was only two chefs so dinner took a while. Also the air con was so cold it took about a day for my toes to recover. Some people were even moving outside to eat to avoid the cold. Adriana communicated everything clearly whilst everyone else mainly did the minimum possible. She should be managing this bar/restaurant if she isn’t already.

There’s nothing much to do in the hotel outside the gym and it’s a very small gym.

Super zentrale Lage, ca. 10min vom Flughafen zu Fuß erreichbar. Das Zimmer Schallgedämpft und mit Klimaanlage. Das Frühstück ausreichend und das Personal sehr aufmerksam. Freundliche Atmosphäre. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Zur Bushaltestelle 5min zu Fuß, um in die City zu kommen.

Als internationales Hotel fehlt jedoch die Sprachenvielfalt, besonders beim Einchecken. Aber das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Pokoj byl čistý, útulný, bylo tam vše co jsme potřebovali. Snídaně bylo dostatečné. Do centra to bylo cca 40 minut metrem, vlak i autobus byl kousek od ubytování, takže jsme se dopravou dostali všude, kde jsme chtěli

The food was shocking and the old Blondie lady that was on service in the morning through to the late afternoon was hanging I’d say and she just barked at people. Not what you want to look at first thing going around the restaurant with that scowl. Breakfast was abysmal.

We booked this hotel the night before an early flight the next morning. Room was great but the staff were the standout of this hotel. Welcoming, friendly and polite. My wife and I checked out and were just astounded at how lovely the staff were. Would stay again, even without the need for the flight.

Beautiful clean room. A very comfortable bed. Green thinking...we could fill up our water bottle for free. The weather was very warm during our stay so, we really appreciated this facility. Breakfast was amazing. So many choices. And for me a big plus was their availability of a gym.

The location itself. This has pros and cons I missed having a more pleasing view. But if asked to choose between a view and price/quality...I could care less about the view !

I recently stayed and overall, it’s a fantastic hotel. There is so much to love here, though a couple of drawbacks kept it from being a full 5-star review. ​The Good: ​The Rooms: Truly stunning! Modern, spotless, and beautifully designed. The shower is incredible, and the complimentary bath products are top-tier. Considering the rate, the value for money on the room quality alone is hard to beat. ​Amenities & Comfort: The air conditioning works brilliantly, keeping the room perfectly comfortable. ​Service & Dining: The reception team offers a very warm, welcoming check-in. Room service was fast, friendly, and efficient. While the food is a bit on the pricey side, it was very tasty and high quality. ​Location & Access: It’s extremely easy to get to, and having parking nearby is a huge plus. ​Things to Consider: ​Plane Noise: I booked a Premium Room specifically for the airport view. While the view is great, the noise from the planes starting around 6:00 AM is very loud and definitely woke me up. The staff at the courtyard are by far some of the best stuff we have encountered within UK hotels for a very very long time. They all look as they are enjoying their job and treat you as though you are a returning family member rather than paying guest

This hotel is absolutely faultless. It's spotlessly clean, so welcoming. My room was a good size with a lovely big bed, air conditioning and a big bathroom. The breakfast had a great selection. Staff were absolutely amazing. They went out of their way to be friendly and kind. One lady (I wish I had asked her name) was so kind helping me with making plans for our day- explaining how we could get the cable car and Uber boat into central London and see some sights along the way. She wrote everything down for me saying it might be nice for my daughter. She was absolutely lovely. The same lady even gave my daughter a snack to take with her to eat on the train on the way home today.

The bed was a bit hard and the TV was a bit glitchy with playing things we had selected at times but that's really scraping at the barrel because the hotel, room, staff etc were perfect.

We enjoyed our one-night stay at the Courtyard by Marriot London City Airport. We chose this hotel based on excellent previous reviews, the price and its location near the O2 Arena. We travelled from Waterloo by Uberboat (to North Greenwich pier then 129 bus) and back by 129 bus then the Jubilee Line. All services are frequent. We were very pleased with our choice of hotel. All staff that we met were friendly especially at Reception and those looking after breakfast. The room was a decent size, was spotlessly clean and had water, tea & coffee making facilities. Despite being very close to the London City Airport, there was little or no noise from flights arriving / departing. We chose to pre-book breakfast: at £15 / person it's not cheap but there was a wide choice of hot and cold / healthy and not so healthy breakfast options, as well as good quality bottomless coffee, tea, juices etc. We would definitely consider staying at this hotel again when attending an event at the O2.

The only thing that was perhaps below par is the fact that the breakfast items for the cooked breakfast (bacon, sausages, hash browns, scrambled eggs) were not particularly hot. Perhaps it would be an idea not to cook so much in advance. Perhaps we were a bit unlucky...

Our plane was delayed multiple times, so arriving 6 hours later at 11pm was tirering. Staying here was a brilliant decision. It was clean, friendly, extremely comfortable beds. Reception was still open late at night, so we encountered no issues.

The bathroom/toilet has very exposed glass... I don’t like giving a concert while in there.

Absolutely terrible service. Cancelled my booking without giving me a chance to pay 5 days out from my check in. A simple request to update my credit card would have been sufficient… now there are no rooms available and prices are up 50% this is the slimiest most disgusting act of terrible business ethics I’ve ever experienced. On the contrast another Marriott allowed me to update my card on the day. Check in was terrible. I request an early check in and the romance package for my room. I received no response to either therefore I called before travelling to the hotel so see if the early check in was available. We were told yes so made a one hour + journey across london to reach the hotel only to be told our room was not ready. We were not offered any alternative or offer of compensation for our troubles. Toilet seat was stained with what appeared to be fake tan
