Room was comfortable and quiet. The breakfast was really good with plenty of options. Location was perfect, with everything within walking distance. Bottles of water left out, so you could just help yourself.

The only thing that was missing was a fridge in the room, this would be really handy to keep drinks cool. However sometimes fridges can be noisy in a bedroom so it’s not a negative of the overall stay. Facilities are clearly listed, it’s just something which is needed from time to time for the occasional drink.

Everything about our three night stay was excellent. Janine and Tony really do look after you. The room was large and very comfortable with a view to the sea and over the square. The theatre complex is three minutes walk and excellent restaurants four minutes. I would recommend Little Italy and the Thai restaurant .Breakfast, my meal of the day was superb. I now booking a stay in November!

We had a really enjoyable stay at no. 17. Everything was perfect, a large well laid out room with everything we needed. Breakfast was stunning and all of the staff were very friendly indeed. The location is ideal for the beach or the town centre.

The property felt like a real home away from home. We had a lovely, spacious room with comfortable beds, making it easy to relax and feel at ease during our stay. The traditional, classic décor was charming and suited the character and era of the property perfectly. Our hosts were gracious and welcoming, and the staff were friendly, attentive and efficient throughout our stay. The location was excellent, just a very short walk from the seafront, with a great choice of restaurants and shops nearby. Breakfast offered a good variety of choices, including a full English and smoked salmon with eggs, as well as a selection of cold options such as fresh fruit salad, muesli and Greek yoghurt. There was something to suit every preference and it was a lovely way to start the day.

Nice location regarding the seaside and the restaurants around. Easy to park and price at 2.50 pounds a day so not expensive. Nice rooms. Breakfast was good but I was surprised of the speed they removed the empty plates. Hopefully, It was still possible to serve again from yoghourt.

This is a lovely old house. The furnishings keep the character of the building and the whole ambience is of comfort and “cosy-ness” The owners and staff were attentive and friendly- very nice people. The room was comfortable; tea, coffee and water supplies were readily available; the breakfast was very good. The location is very good for the seafront, Downs and facilities of the town.

Just the stairs - due to the age of the building- but we did do long walks during the days - and we are a bit “older”.

Ruime kamers, uitstekende hygiëne. Op een mooie locatie, straat oversteken en je ben al op het strand. Centrum van de stad en eetgelegenheden zijn op loopafstand. Rustig gelegen, daardoor een goede nachtrust. Het ontbijt is goed verzorgd, met keuze uit diverse menu's. De gastvrouw was zeer attent en behulpzaam.

Unser Zimmer war sehr schön und geräumig. Das Hotel liegt fußläufig nur wenige Minuten vom Strand entfernt und auch Restaurants und Geschäfte sind mit einem kurzen Spaziergang zu erreichen. Es gab genügend freie Parkplätze in der Umgebung. Das notwendige Parkticket haben wir in der Unterkunft erhalten. Die Gastgeberin war sehr freundlich.

Im Frühstücksraum hingen viele dunkle Spinnweben an der Decke. Den Preis empfanden wir für das Gebotene recht hoch - Hauptsaison Juli 2026

We were particularly impressed with the staff , who were so friendly, welcoming and helpful. We thought that the breakfast was very good value for money. Nicely cooked and a good choice.

Very little really. We missed a sea view and would have liked separate shampoo. Television only had freeview, so we used our laptop to catch up with the previous night’s football match - not really much of an issue to us, though.

Ein altes Gebäude.... technisch etwas in die Jahre gekommen und wir hatten den Blick nach hinten auf einen weniger ansehnlichen Hinterhof. Aber das alles wird durch die wunderbaren Menschen, die dieses Haus gemeinsam betreiben mehr als ausgeglichen. Herzlicher Empfang, sehr hundefreundlich, tolles Frühstück, sehr gute Lage für Stadt, Strand und Küste. Auch eine günstige Parkplatzlösung wird angeboten (mit etwas Glück direkt vor dem Haus). Eine sehr angenehme Atmosphäre, wir haben uns richtig wohl gefühlt. Vielen Dank!

Gorgeous B&B by the ocean. Staff are super lovely and offer an extensive breakfast each morning. We were there when it was hot but the windows/ fan cooled our room to a comfortable temperature. Walking distance from lots of restaurants but off the Main Street so you don’t get too much noise at night. Walking distance from the train station. Would definitely stay again!

Wasn’t a problem for us but there’s no elevator so depending which room you stay in, you need to go up a few flights of stairs

Janine und Tony sind sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und geben jederzeit gute Tipps und erfüllen Wünsche. Das alte Haus und die Zimmer haben Charme und sind sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Frühstück ist liebevoll und lecker mit genügend Auswahl. Die Lage direkt am Ufer und in Laufnähe von allem Wichtigen im Eastbourne ist perfekt. Und auch das Parken vor dem Hotel war dank "Permit' kein Problem. Wir haben spontan eine Nacht verlängert!

We loved the location, really closed to the sea side and a 15 minutes walk from the train station. The room was comfortable and the breakfast delicious. The host Janine is very friendly and kind. We really recommend this B&B.

Fabulous location, wonderful hosts and staff, plus excellent breakfasts. This is a fantastic find and will definitely be staying again.

It's unfair to say anything bad about this accommodation, the stairs are quite tiring though but the climb to a beautiful room is so worth it for the sea view and comfort.

Needs updating/refurb, it’s a bit shabby/tired & whilst it was clean, things like black mould in bathroom, and dusty/stained skirting boards & carpets need addressing.

The breakfast was outstanding, with a wide variety of delicious options to suit everyone. Everything was fresh, well presented, and the perfect way to start the day. The attention to detail, cleanliness, and warm hospitality really made this hotel stand out. We couldn’t fault a thing and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and comfortable stay. We will definitely be returning!

Very pleasant B & B: a nice large room, very comfortable bed, a bath as well as a shower. The breakfast was excellent and the hostess is charming and helpful. The location is great too, an easy stroll into town, close to the beach and to the gardens where there's a very nice bar and restaurant with lovely sea views and outside seating.

Excellent proximity to Devonshire Park and the beach. Beautiful quiet room with lots of storage, hanging space and shelving. Comfortable beds, good amenities and beautifully presented shared sitting room. Super breakfasts and friendly, welcoming staff.

Room 4 could have a larger centrally wall mounted TV. (Could not see the tennis ball when watching the tennis televised from Queens.)

We were greeted by janine who was cheerful and very helpful. She offered us a room on the groundfloor although she had oringinally had an upper floor room booked for us because she noticed i had a really bad limp due to needing a knee operation. For me it made our stay much easier and more comfortable. The staff were brilliant and so accomodating, they did everything to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The breakfast was huge, very tasty and cooked fresh when you wanted it. Fantastic place, will definately stay there again. Definately reccomend.

Rien de négatif à signaler. Planifiez et annoncez bien votre heure prévue d'arrivée car le propriétaire n'est pas toujours présent mais il existe un système d'entrée avec code communiqué par téléphone.

We booked a standard double which we found quite small for our family and got a room on the third floor which was quite inconvenient with the baby as the property doesn’t have a lift. We were made aware of a £10 charge for the cot after our booking which we found a bit confusing as the booking stated that our child under one year old could sleep for free. The owner explained that the free stay applies if the child sleeps with us or we bring our own cot. We think the property is lovely but would have enjoyed our stay more if we booked a bigger room in the ground floor.

La ubicación es excelente, tienes el paseo de la playa a dos minutos andando, a 5/10 min las calles de los restaurantes, 5 min del Pier... La habitación está bien, limpia y cómoda. El desayuno es bastante bueno, tiene una sección con cereales, yogurt y fruta para que te sirvas tu mismo, te ofrecen zumos, café, te o chocolate caliente y tienen 3 platos a elegir que preparan al momento: full English breakfast, smoked salmon with scrumbled eggs, o boiles eggs. Los sueños son muy majos, se acomodaron a nuestra hora de llegada, nos facilitaron los parking permits, y nos dieron recomendaciones sobre como realizar la ruta de las Seven Sisters. Definitivamente volveré a este alojamiento!
