Very friendly and helpful, great location and a special mention for the breakfast it was excellent great value for money. Parking was easy on the street but given permits by reception so free.

I was staying on a ‘Room Only’ basis as I was visiting friends and family.I have stayed in many of the local hotels and and B&Bs over the past 15 years ,but have never stayed at the Da Vinci until now.The room was clean, comfortable and perfect for me as I was travelling solo.Great location and very good value for money compared to the other hotels & BnBs where I usually stay .I stayed for 3 days ,very seamless ,uncomplicated with no issues.

Very noisy with a family staying opposite us who were up early. Lots of running around and as the floor boards are old it was very loud

They need to work our on cleaning. The floors in the room and the corner need proper hoovering and the mop. The bathroom needs attention as well.

Room ok but quite compact. Had the cooked breakfast on first morning, just cereal after that. Wanted to leave room for a coffee and causant at the Carrot and Coffee nearby. Location very good on Howard Square between front and Devonshire park.

Room very warm in afternoon, was west facing. Long and thick curtains helped a little here.

Tolle Zimmer, wir hatten zwei, große Bäder, sauber. Personal war wirklich ausgesprochen freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Lage ist auch ideal, direkt am Strand. Und wenn man einen Parkplatz gefunden hat, bekommt man vom Hotel ein Ticket für die Windschutzscheibe mit dem man kostenlos am Straßenrand stehen kann. Top.

I honestly cant think of anything

This was my second stay at the hotel and I was very impressed with it again. Good value, wonderful location, very near to the theatres and to the beach. A pleasant stroll to the bandstand and the pier. I will happily return to the da Vinci

Great value for money, nice size room and great location near the beach and theatre. Staff is helpful, friendly and polite, drinks at the bar are cheap. The room was clean and it was on the top floor but there’s a lift so not a problem. I would definitely go again if I’m in Eastbourne!

Just being picky here as I was honestly happy with it, especially for the money (and it was Pride weekend!)… I couldn’t work out how to open the window only on top, I’m not sure if it was broken or me being dumb but it wasn’t much of an issue so I didn’t report it, I’m sure they would have fixed it for me. Air con and a small fridge would be amazing but not expected for the price, although maybe a bigger fan would help in the summer.

El edificio es viejo, las instalaciones son viejas, el mobiliario es viejo... Necesita una reforma y necesita también cambiar el colchón y las almohadas. De hecho, no era un colchón de muelles o visco, era espuma y encima estaba como partido por el centro, imagino que del uso... No he podido descansar bien, sinceramente.

Very friendly, helpful staff. Good room facilities- hairdryer, iron and ironing board, tea & coffee making facilities, fan, large TV which was easy to navigate including radio stations, good shower with easy controls. Good breakfast. Excellent location very near seafront, theatres, bandstand etc. and station within easy reach. Attractive paintings and photos decorate the walls throughout. Comfortable, light and airy lounge area. Very good value for money.

Great location near town centre and the beach, Adnaan was very helpful, nice boutique hotel, quirky with it's artwork and nice that parking permits are included without fee. Usually found parking within a 2-3 min walk although street outside hotel was busy. Comfortable beds and hot shower.

Room was a bit small and stuffy despite opening window wide - maybe as extractor fan in room 201 not working.

Delapitated and far too hot. Where a hotel has no aircon, robust daily ventilation is necessary. The heat was trapped in the walls and the sash windows where extremely heavy . The communal areas where on par with London buses due to no ventilation strategy. Only one member of staff was working and doing everything. He went above and beyond to do his best for excellent service, but the hotel would need 3 more stafd as well as 2 ventilation caretakers. The cupboards in the bathroom and the bathroom seat was crooked, the towels where overword and torn.

The hotel is near to the beach and also near the theatres which I attended during my visit

On Sunday beds were made and tea, coffee milk were replenished. On the Monday when we returned after day out. No one had been in and we had to ask staff for more supplies.

A real gem and one I will be returning to. The Da Vinci has a warmth to it that is hard to pin down until you realise it is the details. The paintings throughout the hotel are beautiful, genuinely beautiful, the kind you stop and look at rather than walk past. It gives the place a character that most hotels spend a fortune trying to manufacture and never quite manage. The staff are the other half of it. I left my charger behind and without any fuss at all they looked after it for me. Small thing. But that kind of quiet attentiveness is exactly what separates a good hotel from one you actually remember.

The closeness to Devonshire park and the beach front, rooms had lovely high ceilings and generous size!

The outside looked like it could do with a tidy up Would of liked hooks in the bathroom to hang towels etc and maybe a fan as you couldnt open the window

Great location. Close to beach, theatres and town centre. Loved the art themed rooms and the paintings by local artists displayed and for sale in communal areas. Staff were very helpful and even took our luggage up to our rooms while we took the lift. Also great value breakfast.

It’s an old building which comes with its problems, like creaky floor boards, sticking door and slightly care worn decor. Despite this it was very clean and bright and airy.

This is our 2nd visit here . The Da Vinci has everything you need,close to all amenities,beach,town,buses. The staff are amazing,breakfast is great,the beds are super comfy,spotless clean and easy check in and out. We love it here and would highly recommend it.

It really needs a good proper and thorough clean everywhere. Our room was well below what I would consider a surface clean. Dirt, dusty, stains. They have tried to pack in as many people as possible without ensuring the rooms are properly cleaned. Tv didnt work, 2 channels. Obviously bad signal. Overpriced. I wouldnt stay again.

The hotel is in a great position, and included a parking permit for my 1 night stay. The downstairs rooms are lovely light and airy with high ceilings. There are paintings on all the walls, which are for sale. I had a single room 203 and there is a lift to the 2nd floor where my room was located at the back of the hotel. It was a good sized square room, and had a Van Gogh themed with several prints on the walls. There is a huge TV at the end of the bed. The shower is simple to use and the bathroom is a good size. The double glazed window opened and I left it open all night and it wasn't that noisy. The curtains do keep the room pretty dark and the bed is comfortable for a good sleep. I had the breakfast £9 paid at the hotel. I was served coffee and chose the items I wanted from the cooked breakfast menu. I don't know if there are lighter options. I felt the hotel was very good and especially good value for money especially so close to the seafront. It's also less than 5 mins walk to the Devonshire park theatre.

There were no major negatives about the hote, and I'd be very happy to return. A few small things though. The breakfast was reasonable value. Unfortunately the chef had to leave at 9 so I don't know if I could have had a second coffee. Having the coffee in a mug means there's nowhere to put your spoon and all the little packing from the butter, Jan etc. it would be good to have a recepticle to put the 'rubbish' in on the table and a saucer for the spoon. Also there was only one knife, so you have to spread butter etc on your toast and then eat the full English. Be nice to have had a desperate knife.

Da Vinci hotel is the heart of art in simple, modern form of room facilities. I loved it. You can pick up your art education wondering around in the building. Very welcoming host. Not over crowded. Only 21 rooms in total that gives you peace. The decoration is awesome. It's simple very clean room. Well equipped, even has got DVD player. The room had partial seaview. That was nice. Also very clean and comfortable bed.

The bathroom's shower could be a little bit more up to date.

This was exactly what I was looking for, the staff were nice, the room was comfortable and the location was perfect :)

There was nothing to dislike

For what was paid, the room was exceptional. A double room with a nice big comfortable double bed, plenty of sachets of tea/coffee and milk, a tv and an electric shower. The room held the temperature well too so if it was slightly cold, a blast of the electric heater would see it quickly warm up and maintain that temperature. It was also quiet in the room despite many of the surrounding rooms being occupied.

As ever really good value for money. My single room was clean, comfortable with a desk, kettle and tv. Close to the seafront, restaurants, coffee shop, round the corner. The Turner Gallery and theatres are very close.

I had requested a bath prior to my stay and was told this wasn’t possible when I arrived. However the person on reception went out of their way to put me in a room with a bath, so I was really happy.
