Beautiful apartment. Ideal for us and our wee dog. Had everything we needed for a few days. Amazing outlook over the slipway & marina plus right next to Scott's restaurant.Town centre was less than 10 minutes walk for shops, cafes & pubs.

Separate WiFi network IDs for each room is awesome, but passwords need to be random for each room. Any guest can trivially guess the password for any other room right now. Bad cyber hygiene, but easily fixed

The bedroom would be better with a door rather than open plan

Excellent location and the accommodation was absolutely immaculate and incredibly spacious. Extremely comfortable beds and everything you need is supplied from gorgeous Arran Aromatics toiletries in the bathroom, towels and slippers, fridge stocked with milk and bottled water, snacks in the welcome pack and plenty tea and coffee. Will definitely be back!

We had an amazing stay at Salt Lodge Troon. The location is perfect, with stunning views and easy access to the beach and local attractions. The lodge was beautifully presented, spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing break. The staff were friendly, welcoming and couldn't have been more helpful. The attention to detail throughout the accommodation really stood out and the peaceful atmosphere made it the perfect place to unwind. We would highly recommend Salt Lodge Troon to anyone looking for a relaxing coastal getaway. We had an amazing experience from start to finish and we'll definitely be back!

Warm, welcoming staff. Modern high-quality decor and fittings, very clean. Excellent bed and fabulous shower. Stayed during the hot weather and kept cool with windows ajar and a fan in the room. We were in a ground floor room with our dog and made our own food, there is a convenient dog-shower if they’re sandy from the local beach. Great indie pizza five minutes walk.

Neither of these aspects bothered us, the separately run on-site restaurant does not permit dogs; our view was of the yacht harbour and to the side a boatyard.

The location was excellent with a lovely view over the marina. A short walk into the town centre for coffee etc and shops. Everyone we met were very helpful and friendly.

Beautiful views and very comfortable. Been a few times now. So relaxing! Staff always really friendly especially housekeepers.

Only a couple of minor cleaning issues. Cobwebs on windows (but they maybe just appeared during stay). Moved the rug cause kept tripping on it and there was a lot of crumbs underneath. Wouldn't put me off staying though!!

There was no breakfast, comfortable room adequate facilities however our window and outdoor space was right in the entrance and part of the work yard ergo only viewed boats for repair and logs. It would seen pertinent that if dogs are allowed they should be permitted within a bar area, this is especially pertinent if your ability to walk is curtailed

The apartment was beautifully decorated and furnished. We just wished we were staying longer! Access to Scott's Restaurant next door was perfect - we had dinner and breakfast there.

Shower room was excellent but the room missed a bath.

The radiation was making an incredible noise; we couldn't sleep all night. Also, the sound insulation between the rooms was very poor, and the bed in the bedroom was very close to the walls.

The apartment is comfortable, well appointed, with fascinating views. The welcome pack was appreciated. The food at Scott's, which is on site, was delicious (we went three times) , however it is very popular so booking is probably a good idea.

Photos on site looked like walk-in shower so disappointed over/bath shower and no non-slip shower mat. I have recently had knee ops so getting into a bath not possible/safe. Perhaps pictures are generic for the flats in the building? No egg cups!! Generator outside the bedroom window so couldn’t have it open at night.

Had a lovely 3 day stay at the salt lodge. The apartment was spotless and staff were very welcoming. Location was fantastic, the view from the balcony of the marina was brilliant watching the yachts coming in and going out. Will definitely stay again in the future.

Great view of harbour. Close to shops. Room exceptionally clean which is rare. Lovely little added touches and extras in bathroom and kitchen. Great parking. Safe.

Local taxi service very expensive to get around but not fault of the Salt Lodge. If we had known this beforehand we would not have stayed here. Cost £100 return to get to Saltcoats which was more than our total petrol cost from the midlands to Troon!

The bathroom had a very bad drain that meant you didn't want to open the door... it also meant they had very strong airfreshener that unfortunately made it worse. Also surprised that we had to make the sofa bed ourselves.

Perfect location with stunning views. Very private with no noise from other guests staying. Everything was very clean and some nice extras including snacks and balcony.

It is a wee hidden gem. Very modern, clean and with excellent facilities. Everything that you need with small kitchen, big shower and tv’s in both livingroom and bedroom. There was also a small balcony (no chairs) probably due to the time of year but nonetheless lovely views over the marina and water.

Shower door didn’t close & seal properly - bathroom floor flooded into lounge area. No dressing gowns (there were slippers though). Windy night meant the sailing boats howled and wailed all night. 6:30am fire alarm (caused “by dust from tiling work “) no one came to explain or say it was actually a false alarm and not to stand outside in the freezing cold wind & rain. No door into bedroom (noisy fridge in kitchen area)

Our second visit as we have family in the area. The Salt Lodge was great when we stayed in February and equally great this time. We won’t stay anywhere else in future.
