Beautiful hotel. Breakfast was lovely. Had dinner in the hotel on our first night and it was delicious! All staff were very nice. Had a lovely couple of nights here.
The lights in the bedroom were really dim. I'm at an age now where I need a decent light!! The pillows had seen better days but I'm sure we could have had different ones if we had asked.
Lovely big room and great wee bar. Breakfast was lovely also and not self service which is nice for a change

Stunning hotel, courtyad rooms were lovely, very clean and elegant. Food was amazing
Quite expensive but extremely good quality
Amazing place. Lovely outside space. Plenty places for dining. Bedroom had everything you needed.
No lift.
Very clean and fresh accomodation. Excellent dinner. Walking distance to Troon.
Breakfast a bit ordinary. Surprising after an imaginative dinner. Staff could maybe smile a bit more!
Could not fault the hotel but parking was very difficukt due to work being done.
Parking vwrt dlfficult
The location suited our needs. The historic perspective of the property.
Room outside the kitchen exhaust fan which went late evening and started early morning.

Fantastic accommodation & really helpful staff
We stayed at this hotel for a relaxing night away. The hotel itself is lovely. The bar area is nice and the breakfast was good. We were allocated room 4 - it’s a nice room but it is right next to the kitchen roof - 6am the fan comes on and it’s very loud. I was woken up by it so I raised it with reception when we checked out - the receptionist did not apologise but did say “yes that noise comes from the kitchen fan” … at £190 a night it’s simply not acceptable!
Lovely room, well appointed & very clean. Both dinner & breakfast were very, very nice

Our family just had a fantastic stay at Piersland House Hotel. The Piersland is a five iron from Royal Troon Golf Club and a short taxi ride from Prestwick Golf Club making it an ideal base for a golf trip to Ayrshire. Our cottage accommodation was very comfortable and it was spotlessly clean. The restaurant at the Piersland was unlike most hotel restaurants in that it was a food destination in its own right. The menu was great and the food was excellent as was the service. We noted that many locals come there to eat which is always a good sign. The grounds are private and the garden and various sitting areas are pleasant for enjoying a cocktail. We would highly recommend the Piersland House and already look forward to our next trip there to enjoy their Scottish hospitality. Thanks. Cheers.
Lovely new accommodation
We were only here for Sunday lunch on this occasion having stayed in the hotel several times in superior rooms which are lovely and well appointed but the lunch was exceptional as was the service the surroundings are beautiful with gorgeous gardens and within walking distance of the beach and Royal Troon Golf course It’s a perfect spot and the hotel has its own history with a whisky background and frankly I love it. Go try it you won’t regret it
Stunning venue for my sons recent wedding. The service was exemplary and quality of food second to none. Well done to all the staff for making it a day never to be forgotten.
Great location. Nice restaurant and bar. Great breakfast.
Location and majority of staff
The bedrooms in mews have very squeaky floorboards, no robes or slippers, no demist mirror or magnifying mirror, no Sky Sports and the old lady serving breakfast was very unpleasant to everyone.
Bonne ambiance, chambre spacieuse, cuisine de qualité
Easy parking onsite. Very comfortable large bed. Lovely cocktails, dinner and ambience sitting outside overlooking the green.
The rooms are a bit dated/tired and could do with a refresh (including the toiletries available) and the addition of a mini fridge in room. Breakfast was very average with a small selection on offer.
Really lovely staff and nice chilled lounge area.
Loud doors of neighbouring doors that bang when shut.
Back from a fantastic overnight in the hotel. A great DB&B deal. We stayed in the lodge rooms. Really liked the fact that you can open your door and stand on the terrace and watch the world go by. The room was exceptionally clean. Our dinners were really delicious and the service was friendly and attentive. We chose to have breakfast roon service which was brilliant. I love having this option! We will most definitely return in the future.
Lovely location and lovely hotel
Breakfast was very nice
Bed was too hard. Noise outside room from workmen was very annoying

The mews cottage was really big and comfortable, our evening meal and breakfast was amazing, brilliant food and lovely attentive staff.
Beautiful location. Extremely pleasant staff
Shower was rubbish. Hairdryer not the best either
Peacefulness and lovely gardens
The on going work outside my mews room
Went again for a meal in the garden on 12th July (2.10pm). The meal was lovely and Janice our server was superb. She made sure we were seated in an area where the baby(4 months) got shade, was very pleasant and even tho it was nearly 2.30pm made sure everything was perfect. Thank you to her and Sergio..will be back.
Stunning property in a beautiful location. Friendly staff. Excellent dining which was good value for money.
Only minor issue was that the bed was very small for 2 of us which meant we didn’t sleep as well as we might have done,
Had another enjoyable lunch at one of our favourite venues. Staff efficient and welcoming. Premises including the grounds are maintainted to a high standard. Only negative comment is the now ridiculous cost of soft drinks. Don't think many will be happy to pay £4.00 for a small can of full-fat Coke and £5 for a pint of draft lemonade with a splash of blackcurrant cordial is ok. Will happily stick to iced tap water from now on.
The food was superb and the restaurant staff were excellent and a credit to the hotel. The food was so good we even had a dessert, something we never do! The room was large and comfortable.
Beautiful property. Good food which was good value.
It’s a busy hotel and quite noisy late at night and early in the morning. Ear plugs would be worth taking.
Food was delicious. Staff warm and friendly. Hotel traditional and gardens beautiful.
The decor in the lodge and cottage didn’t match the hotel. The colours were dull and drab and we were not warned on booking that construction work was taking place opposite the accommodation. Apart from that everything else was great.
The hotel has never changed its service/food standards, it’s always been superb. In addition the quality of the fabric of the hotel is as it’s always been and clearly not part of a chain of hotels.
There is nothing to dislike about the Piersland Hotel.
The room in the main house was lovely - extremely roomy with a large bathroom. We had a wonderful dinner at the property - the food was delicious and the staff in the restaurant and bar were so accommodating.
The twin bedroom that was not in the main house looked like it had definitely seen better days. Whilst roomy it was a little dingy and did have a slightly damp smell. Also whilst the breakfast buffet items (breads, cereals, juices etc) were good, the cooked breakfast left a lot to be desired and were not as good as we experienced in other comparable locations we stayed at.
Schöne Anlage, sehr ruhig, genügend Parkplätze. Feines Essen und erlesene Getränkeauswahl. Speziell Johnny Walker Whisky-Selektion, gehörte die Anlage einst Sir Alexander Walker, dem Enkelsohn des Gründers der Whisky Distillery. Nahe an top Golfplätzen!

All was good tho' room lighting needed improvement
Beautiful location & lovely facilities. Staff were both very friendly & very helpful. We were in a lodge room which overlooked the golf course of Royal Troon.

Plate swimming with water at breakfast! (Haddock and poached eggs) No sweet options left during breakfast!
We had a short break for 4 nights in one of the mews cottages. Breakfast was good, service was great particularly when had dinner with family were our kids were made to feel very welcome and the room had everything we could have wished for.
Gute Frühstücksauswahl am Buffet und ein erstklassiges "Full scotish Breakfast". Das Hotel mit seinem Restaurant inkl. Bar und der tollen Terrasse, mit Blick ins Grüne, ist traumhaft.
We spent the weekend at Piersland - In Troon for a wedding at another hotel. Room etc very clean and lovely staff. We also ate in the restaurant on the Friday night. The food was fantastic.
What a fabulous Hotel, from start to finish our trip just before a family wedding was superb. The buildings and gardens were immaculate and the staff were welcoming, attentive and friendly, first class! We very much enjoyed our delicious dinner, and the service we received was second to none, well done providing that level of service on a busy Friday evening. Thoroughly recommend this beautiful Hotel to anyone, well done and thank you, hope to return very soon x
Great location, friendly helpful staff. Food was excellent. Great for the beach, and golf.
Single room bathroom was a bit cramped.
Guter Standort
Das Zimmer war nicht so sauber, respektive die Tassen und Gläser sowie die Bettwäsche.
Great hotel with excellent staff. Lovely and clean and food was great as well. Rooms had nice decor and furniture had been given thought.
Liked everything
Location lovely. The lodge room fantastic. Facilities brilliant
We were in one of the mews. It had a sitting room and bedroom with ensuite and was very clean and comfortable. I would most definitely stay there again, and I would certainly recommend this hotel to friends and family.
We didn't have a good reception on the wifi in our room. Also, the wifi wasn't secure in any part of the hotel. This made us very wary of using it. I think it would be a good idea to put a small fridge in these rooms. It was very warm while we were there, which made it difficult to keep drinks cold.
Gute Lage zum Golfspielen.Nettes Personal

Location, room and dinner food. Most staff excellent and friendly.
Rather dour breakfast waitress, and limited choice of continental options.
This is a great hotel in Troon. We stayed one night in a double room. Rooms had all we needed, wasn’t huge but more than enough space, was very clean. Hotel is literally next to the golf course, lots of golfers staying. We dined in the restaurant and food was very good. Breakfast was a decent continental choice with full cooked options, food was lovely. We walked to the beach which took us 10 mins. You could walk to Troon town centre id say about 20 mins walk. I didn’t give this five stars are some of the staff we felt were quite short, not with us but with other staff and we overheard a conversation with staff and a group of golfers which I felt just didn’t shine the staff in a great light. We had just returned from America where we felt service was always over and above so we were comparing. I would stay again.
Perfect in almost every way
Construction works at front if lodge, no prior warning
The hotel is next to the beach and royal troon golf course. With a nice walk along the beach to the town Hotel is spotless very well kept, all staff are very friendly Breakfast and all meals are well cooked with plenty of selection
Die Einrichtung, das Essen, die Lage
Keine Kritik
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. I appreciated the separate sitting area of the mews room to separate the sleeping area. There was plenty of on site parking. The highlights included the restaurant and the staff. Our favorites were the mushrooms from the starters list and the creme brulee for dessert.

We had a very quiet, spacious and comfortable room, very near Troon's golf course, and we particularly enjoyed the characterful spaces in the main building, where meals (including breakfast) are served. Breakfast was very good.
We have enjoyed staying at the Piersland several times and really have no complaints! We enjoy the location and the comfort and service are excellent.
We stayed in one of the lodges. The room was lovely decorated and very clean. I liked there was a small porch area for shoes etc. Had a great sleep . Bed was comfortable and was surprised with how quiet it was considering a wedding was on in the main house .
We liked staying in a lodge in the grounds
We didn’t find anything to dislike
We had a very enjoyable two days stay with breakfast at Piersland House Hotel in Troon. The room was comfortable and clean, the staff were friendly and excellent We dined in the restaurant on both evenings of our stay. There is a great choice of quality food to select from.
Beautiful hotel, in amazing surroundings. Loved the choices of accommodation and their settings. Evening meal was excellent overlooking the beautiful gardens. Easy walk down to the beach to watch the sunset, which ended a lovely weekend, with perfect weather.
A thoroughly enjoyable stay at Piersland House in a family group. Lovely bright room. Food was excellent. Great location.

Food was average
Beautiful house. Lovely spacious rooms. Fantastic food and well kept gardens.
Loved it all.
Perfect location
Food was fairly average
It was an overnight to celebrate friends golden wedding along other family and friends. The staff could not have been more helpful.
We had a mews room which was a really great size and we loved the separate lounge area and TV in both the bedroom and lounge. The room was beautifully clean too which is very important. Nice choice of drinks in the room, nice biscuits and bottles of water. Also umbrellas provided which was a nice touch. The garden borders outside the room were also well kept and pretty.
The floors in the room are extremely creaky except in the bathroom which was a lovely stone floor. It meant that if we had to get up in the night, we disturbed the other person. These look like newish rooms so not sure why more wasn’t done to secure the floor. For us at least, the mattress was also very uncomfortable after a couple of nights sleeping on it. It seemed comfy to begin with but got worse. Perhaps some pictures would also have brought the room to life a bit too.
Stayed 3 nights in one of the rooms in the annex and it was so quiet and comfortable! Excellent breakfast and all staff were very friendly!

A very good and comfortable hotel, in nearly all regards, in a great location, opposite Royal Troon golf course. Good evening meal in the restaurant and good breakfast.
The shower pressure was very weak, hence the 9 out of 10.
The breakfast was excellent and we enjoyed the comfort of eating in the dining room. Staff were pleasant although could have explained the system for us- we worked it out easily enough though.
Our room was very comfortable but quite small.
The highlight of our 2 night stay was our dinner. Staff were friendly and attentive. Wide ranging dinner menu. Food was exceptional.
No fresh coffee making in the room.
The breakfast - the hot food was cooked fresh and made with good quality ingredients and there was also a cold buffet with cereal, fruit, pastries etc. Comfortable bed.

Friendly staff, food was excellent, and location was a short distance from the sea front.

Das Frühstück war wunderbar
Just back from 2 nights at this beautiful hotel. We were in one of the mews rooms (room 22) which was perfect, it had absolutely everything we needed 🙌 it has a walk in shower which we requested due to my mobility issues. Room was spotlessly clean and there were complimentary water and plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits. We ate in the restaurant on the first night and it was superb, food and service were first class. All in all it was a lovely experience and we will definitely be back. PS The breakfast and the wee lady serving us were great too xx
Dinner was lovely well presented and good value for money, Bedroom was a great size good selection if drinks, my only disappointment was the view out the window of another buildings roof

Great food.
Lovely hotel, great staff. Breakfast was excellent.

Location great. Breakfast good.
My cousin hosted a free bar for his wedding reception. you ran out of white wine so my husband ended paying for several guests. My cousin Brian Collins would have been raging if he knew we had to pay for wine, not impressed with this as I'm sure the wedding cost Brian a fortune.
From beginning at reception to leaving after a lovely one night date break it could not have been better. Staff friendly helpful and attentive without being intrusive. Food was superb both at dinner and breakfast. Will be back again 👍
The Piersland is such a lovely hotel. We have stayed a few times and it is always a pleasure going there. The staff are all very nice and the food is of a very high quality. We have Sunday dinner there and it was so very nice. It is a hotel with a very nice vibe and it is very relaxing sitting having a drink in the bar at night, as well as being sit outside of the weather is nice during the day. My one slight criticism would be that in 2026 all showers should be walk in. Also the fixed shower head in the room was not great. Apart from that this is a hotel that will always be top of the list when staying in Ayrshire.
It was very clean easy to park

Had an alright stay for a wedding. Bed felt very small (my partner fell out during the night!) The house itself is beautiful and the staff were really nice, but I think it’s overpriced for what you get. Very stuffy and lack of fresh air
Everything was clean, today and to a high standard. Staff were polite and welcoming and very attentive at breakfast. The food was exceptional.

Stayed two nights in a mews cottage to celebrate my 70th birthday. We have stayed many times and find the accommodation, staff and food excellent. It is our favourite hotel in Ayrshire.
From the initial welcome at reception to saying goodbye on checking out, our stay at Piersland House was nothing short of outstanding. The staff are friendly, cheery and professional. The hotel is in very good condition with lots of character, the room was lovely, large and with nice furniture. The food at dinner and breakfast was really lovely and the dinner menu is extensive. One minor issue was that we expected dressing gowns in the room but not sure if we could have requested them? Overall though, this was an excellent stay and would highly recommend.
