McGraths is a very lovely property, very clean and beautiful decor, it has a nice little bar with banging cocktails. The room was clean and fresh with a selection of hot drinks and bottled water. Breakfast was perfect, Conner and Seb were perfect hosts

There wasn’t anything not to like

The room was clean and as described, and breakfast was good.

However, our room was directly above the bar/lounge area, and the entertainment was far too loud. We were advised at check-in that it would finish at 23:00, but it continued until around 23:45, with the bar remaining open until midnight. The noise made it impossible to comfortably relax, watch TV or go to bed while it was on. Conversations from bar guests also spilled into the main landing area outside the rooms, which affected our stay. We stayed on a Saturday, so this may be less of an issue during the week, but unfortunately it significantly impacted our experience

Was situated round the corner from the train station and a ten minute walk to the town centre.

The shower was too small. Too many stairs and not suitable for someone with mobility issues.

Location, whole of the property smelt nice. Warm welcome from the owner Conor. Very nice cooked breakfast considering the price of our stay.

We stayed in room 8, a little disappointed with the decor needed a bit of TLC compared to the photos on booking.com. Disappointed in the extra charge for fruit juices with our breakfast (£1.50 a glass) so we cannot mark the breakfast 10/10.

For the money, you get beyond expectations

Friendly staff, comfortable bed, quirky (in a good way!) décor, good breakfast...all-in-all VERY GOOD value. Great location if visiting Funny Girls cabaret (highly recommended, by the way!).

As said in other reviews, it is a little tired in places, but still a pleasant stay.

Area was a bit run down but didn’t feel unsafe. The hotel itself was a little bit run down and not as clean as it could have been. Lots of creaks in our room - floorboards, doors, beds.

Loved the stay at this guest house. A very clean room, we stayed in the Gatsby suite, lovely couple who own it made us feel very welcome. Full English breakfast to start the day. Excellent value for the money we paid. Highly recommend Amy.

The owners of this hotel were truly outstanding that are very hard working and nothing was to much trouble outstanding on welcoming warm and very freindly atmosphere the entertainment was over and above the young gentleman who owns the hotel his knowledge and information of were to go from entertainment to parking was outstanding and nothing was to much trouble He spent time chatting and to go alone you would be truly safe Slept like a dream and beds very comfortable Breakfast perfect Overall a fantastic visit and would highly recommend and for sure for the cost area and alone the safety definitely will be returning

Bar closed due to staff sickness. A few maintenance issues need redressing in the Trinket room.... radiator rusty and needs spraying to match the furniture...no handle on inside of bathroom door, which also needs re painting all the way to the top.

Clean, beds were very comfortable, tea and coffee facilities excellent, was happy to get a jug of fresh milk, great breakfast, very welcoming. Quiet room on 3 floor. Excellent value for money.

Beautifully decorated room and exceptionally comfortable bed. Stayed for the one night to attend a Eurovision party in the hotel bar which I have visited as a patron several times. Staff are very hospitable and know how to cater to their guests.

We felt very uncomfortable when we went back to the bar at night as it seemed to be a gay bar and no where in the description did it say this. We don’t have anything against gays but it would have been nice to know.

Great atmosphere in the hotel. Everywhere is clean and modern. The bedrooms are beautiful and clearly well looked after. We arrived just after 3pm, and stayed in the bar for a couple hours. Happy Hour is 3 til 7, there was a DJ ans karaoke. Connor working on the bar was really nice and makes a fab cocktail! We would highly recommend McGraths and are already looking to book for next year.

Great little hotel, friendly staff and a really relaxed atmosphere. Great value and breakfast was the perfect size. Room contained everything you could need. Including bottles of water.

Only negative is the mattress wasn't the right sort for me personally, but I'm sure lots would love it.

Breakfast was very disappointing in terms of lack of choice. Cereal on offer was limited to Coco Pops, Rice Krispies or Cornflakes, and there was no fresh juice, yoghurt or fruit salad. Cooked choices were limited. These were nicely cooked but all came with white bread, no brown bread offered. We were disappointed because reviews had said breakfast was very good, and it just wasn't. The location was in the centre of the gay quarter, round the corner from Funny Girls - it felt safe and friendly but the area is a bit a bit down at heel.

The owner is very helpful and friendly the rooms are clean and tidy in every room you have a fridge hair dryer dressing table with mirror chair you have plenty of space in each room
