Location
Room window did not close properly. Here the wind through the gap of window. Quality of breakfast not the best. Cheap sausage
Wonderful location with sea view from bedroom. Spacious single room, generously furnished.
One bedroom window wouldn’t shut until weather changed! Bed was too soft. Single bed made up by tucking in a double duvet just isn’t comfortable - until I realized and untucked it, it had led to a distorted mattress! Otherwise furbished bedroom was good, but rest of property could do with freshening up.
Location was perfect, the breakfast was not the best but you can’t have everything
There was no housekeeping at all, had to ask for things, the staff were very nice and friendly
Lovely sea view
Few things Broken bedside cabinet which I notified then the wardrobe was leaning I was frighted of it falling over think it should be screwed to the wall
The staff were very pleasant and helpful.
The location & the bar area
Good location, relaxing hotel.friendly staff members, very good value for money.would stay there again
Nothing not to like
We really enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Santa Maria. The hotel was lovely and clean, the room was comfortable, and the location was great. Was abit of a walk to the centre but very close to the sea. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We had a lovely few days in Blackpool and would definitely consider staying here again.
There wasn’t really anything we disliked about our stay. Everything was good and we had a very enjoyable visit.
Five minutes walk from north pier, a quiet hotel, lovely bar and reception staff, loved being able to choose the same room as a previous stay no problem that made the memories all the more special thank you very much for that wonderful accommodating experience
I should’ve stayed an extra day
Location was very good and parking spaces are available if required.
The decorative pillows were very grubby, the room smelled really damp. There were mystery stains and a hole in the wardrobe from what I assumed was where someone punched it. The staff had an awful argument when we were on our way out, they were swearing at each other.
Great hotel for the price
Too many things to mention
Bad
Cleanliness
Clean, bright, welcoming
Our friends paid less and their room sounded awful.. uncomfortable beds bedding and pillows..
The location was very good just a short walk to the tower and we had a sea view room. Also we managed to get a parking spot at the front of the hotel. beds and bedding was clean.
We arrived a little bit early and was told quite abruptly that the room wouldn't be ready till 3pm. When we got to our room it looked nothing like the ones advertised on booking.com. it wasn't very clean and very run down, definitely in need of some tlc. There was no hot water from the shower fortunately we had a bath and there was some warm water from that tap so managed to clean ourselves from the tap but it ran quite slow so filling the bath would have taken a long while. The stairs up to our room was dirty and in need of a good hoovering. Breakfast was nice enough but on the first morning we were asked what we wanted I said 2 full breakfasts without black pudding and tomato, it came with both these items on. There was no plates for the toast or bowls for the cereal. It just seemed very poorly run and definitely in need of more/better staff. We were only there 2 nights and we made do but had we have been there longer I would've complained. I won't be returning and wouldnt recommend this hotel to anyone.
Beds were comfy, great view as sea view room. Good location.
Waited from 1.30 until 3 for check in and when we got to the room at 3.30 it hadn't been cleaned. The check in time was from 3 but the room should have been ready by that time. No shower gel in the box in the shower. Some people were overbooked for their rooms so didn't get accommodation.
breakfast was amazing
lift not working no parking
This is a lovley hotel and all the staff were great especially steven Could not fault the hotel and will definitely be returning very soon to stay again. Breakfast was great and served hot. Our room had an amazing sea view.
Nothing
We had one of the recently renovated sea view rooms. Nicely renovated, very clean, comfortable bed.
Breakfast could have been a little better, but at the cost charged it was OK.
The spacious room and the children liked the bunk beds.
It's in the basement so there is a bit of moisture and it took time for our room to be ready after check in time. Got compensated with breakfast and checked out later than normal check out time which was lovely though the inconvenience made us miss the fireworks.
Nothing
Loads
We liked the location from the hotel to the town and the views from our room. The staff were welcoming and helpful at breakfast and all other times. How easy it was to check in and out.
The cleanliness could be better. Overall the room was clean but there were some stains on the bedsheets and some food stains / crumbs on the dresser. The mattress on the bed was uncomfortable and the windows need to be replaced as quite noisy traffic in the morning.
Hotel is dated, but clean and tidy. It is a three star hotel and meets that standard. The room was as we asked and the breakfast was good.
Downstairs rooms are very dated and need an update.
great hotel lovely breakfast great view of seafront comfy beds
nothing to complain about
No staff one person checking you in serving on the bar rooms wasn’t ready at 3 o’clock

No entertainment
Very nice and very good
Very nice and very good
The hotel was in a good location. I think they have recently changed hands, but it was a pleasant stay. The breakfast was really nice and the waitress was very professional, happy and friendly.
Unfortunately the house keeping wasn’t supplied for my visit. A bag of tea, coffee, sugar and milk was left outside my room but housekeeping did not enter my room to replace towels etc. I was out all day and the day they were due.
Value for money
Lovely cosy room nice breakfast excellent location everybody friendly and helpful hotel in process of been renovated great so far Close to town. bus stop outside Stunning view of tower and seafront so worth paying extra for a sea view room We will definitely be returning
Shower a bit dodgy other than that no issues
Very convenient location
Nothing it was fine
It was ok but could do with some improvement with the decorating. Needs a lick of paint.
It was ok
Great location
Very basic room
The staff (very helpful), very good breakfast and good location within walking distance of most of the places I wanted to go to.
Nothing. A slight niggle with the bathroom was sorted.
Good location
Good location
Me and my friend stayed here thursday till friday .downstairs tidy and looked ok but when you go to go upstairs its awful.dirty stairs and landings stiff communal doors lift that doesnt work ..when we did finally get to are room.Absolutely disgraceful felt like we were in a cupboard.. very dated room beds are more like children size beds .. no room too walk about everywhere in room grubby and falling to bits.. ceiling coming apart in corners ..couldn't close window on nighttime causing all road noise and wind whistling all night.. bathroom is tiny you sit on loo and shower straight in front of your feet ..badly painted units and draws.. nicotine stains in window frames window ceils etc ..when we arrived early to drop are cases in a young man on reception had bad attitude then told us to leave cases in pool room which anyone could of picked up..all in all this Hotel needs a lot of money spent to get it how it should be ..well definitely NOT be back..
The staff are all brilliant and very helpful. The location is great and the beds are comfortable. Nice decor in the room.
Nothing!
Breakfast fine
The windows in the room were very drafty
Breakfast was ok,
Breakfast was ok, but had better quality, room fan very noisy not too happy
The staff were veey professional, and friendly and helpful. The location was central, and it wasnr too far 5o walk tto most other placea in Blackpool.
N/A.
Staff were great
No headboard No bedside lamp Towels really small and thin Room 135 sea view
Good locations
My room comfy but banging on cieling kept me awake
Konumu
Üç binadan oluşuyor içerisi labirent gibi odayı bulamıyorsun.Oda çok temiz değil ve yatak eski rahat değil
The location
Breakfast was poor. No entertainment on a night time. Room wasn't cleaned properly. Stayed for 3 nights and towels never changed once. Window didn't close properly so heard everything car's trams going past.
Just the location and the view
My experience at Santa Maria Hotel was unfortunately disappointing. When I arrived, I noticed that the window was dirty, which made the room look neglected. The mattress was also very uncomfortable, making it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. On top of that, the room was full of dust and did not seem to have been cleaned properly before my arrival. I expected a much higher standard of cleanliness and comfort from the hotel. Overall, my stay was not enjoyable, and I hope the management will take these issues seriously and improve the cleaning, maintenance, and quality of the rooms for future guests.also thw curtain was very durty and given a bad smell to the room
It is clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. The location.
The rooms including the bathroom are narrow and old fashioned.
Seafront view and location
Having the door knocked when we put the do not disturb sign on the door. Could do with being cleaner.
breakfast was not a pleasant experience one rubber egg one undercooked sausage fried bread one slice of leather that masqueraded for bacon half a tomato and 12 beans left on a hotplate no doubt from the previous night but the toast was lovely but ten pounds was very steep
All was great
Nothing
Free parking great location sea view great breakfast
Lovely staff nice clean hotel in room TV that worked kettle t bags sugar milk all usual stuff for a drink clean bathroom and a nice bed good sea view I will be back
Sadly not many car parking spaces out side but two car parks next to hotel
The manager spoke to us regarding our concern, though he didn't solve it.
1. We specifically asked for the type of room we wanted, and they never answered our message via booking.com. We asked for a sea view room, at least one of the 3 rooms we booked. 2. The facility is terrible and conjusted. The rooms 5 the basement are inconvenient to moms with small babies. There is no lift access up or down the stairs so people with disabilities or with children or old people are unable to use Amy of their rooms. It is a shame that they did not disclose that. 3. The shower has no shower gel or soup. There was no tissue in the toilet. 4. The WiFi password is visible, but it is impossible to log in, and when you do , there is a no network in the basement.
Staff friendly and kind Room.space good family With children you do need night lamp Which main light switche only for the family room
Underground room. Window was stuck open which unable to close Draft and car noises
Staff amazing, helpful an friendly
The only small criticism I have, is breakfast was a struggle to get up in time, breakfast is between 8.30 and 9.30 an while on holiday you have many late nights so getting up early is a struggle, breakfast lovely an cant fault it.
Derby, United Kingdom 10853 Excellent 3 night stay in Blackpool Review of Hotel Santa Maria Reviewed 3 days ago My wife and I travelled to Blackpool by train on Friday 21/08/2026 and booked in for 3 nights. I notified them that we would be earlier than the designated 15.00 check in time and was advised that we could leave our hand luggage. We arrived about 12.30 and we left our bags returning about 16.00. We easily checked in and was directed via the lift to room 129. On entering the room it was found to be clean and comfortable with a very nice sea view (as requested). The room was clean comfortable and warm , fan provided, The few downsides that we found was poor WIFI/ none in rooms , The shower was tight to access although water always hot. Shower gel container empty and broken but hand wash dispenser at the wash basin. The property is about 20 minutes from the rail station and on the tram and bus routes along the sea front. All in all a pleasant stay and would stay again. For car drivers there is limited on front parking.
Couple of minor issues mentioned above no big deal though
Location was ok, breakfast could of been a bit better but still ok
A coffee machine in dinning area
Rooo. Was very clean
Location was ok, breakfast was ok, but not much of it. Parking was rubbish, it cost us an extra £15.50 we didn't bargain for. There was a musty smell when you walked in. The room was badly painted bright yellow, old fashioned, curtains hanging off windows, stains on ceiling etc. Was ok for one night I suppose, but we wouldn't go back.
good location not far from the tower 5 minute walk breakfast was ok had better! clean bed sheets.
lift out of order had to climb 4 flights of stairs! in need of modernization very dated carpets need a good clean and hoover... bathroom was gruby.window was broken couldn't close it had terrible sleep with road noise and people... bed very uncomfortable. no wifi.
Everything
The staff were friendly breakfast was good
Tv didn’t work in room, room smelt funny and needed a good vacuum everywhere
The owner was great with us! We needed to upgrade one of our rooms and this was done straight away with no issues and we got a good deal on the breakfasts as there was quite a few of us.
The only issue I had was that the tv didnt work im our room it just kept saying no signal.
Nice clean room
The Bed was comfortable, Great Sea View and staff helpful and location is decent
The decor of the hotel, broken drawer on side unit, missing ceiling tile, shower not very powerful.
The staff the cleanliness
Biit outdated
Great stay Clean, spacious room Lovely staff
It's a good location for the pubs and the nightlife especially at the north end of Blackpool .
If check is15.00hrs then I think the rooms should be ready and available, unfortunately this time my room wasn't ready.
There location
The bed was uncomfortable the staff were rude check in was ment to be at 3 pm didn't get my room till around 4 pm WiFi is shocking barley works not enough staff as was having to wait for them to come of reception to the bar the bedroom window wouldn't close so was cold all night black mold in the shower
Clean and friendly
No internet and parking was a issue
Friendly staff. Nice location. Clean and comfortable beds.
Constant sound of running water through the bathroom pipes which could be heard all night even with bathroom door shut. Only downfall
Good location nice breakfast free parking
Bit quiet
I had bed bugs and it was a terrible time for me my wife and 2 chikdreb awfukk birthday spent
The bed bugs
Breakfast
Friendly staff
I asked if there was a lift as my 82 year old mum had mobility issues, there answer was YES but they forgot to say there was 3 lots of steps before you get to the lift situated not close to the reception, then when getting off the list we had to go down steps. My bed sheet was stained also. Deffo not for people with mobility issues. We moved rooms & that was worse, not with steps. Had 2 pieces of wood holding bed up, bed was resting on top of the radiator, toilet roll holder was hanging off the wall, shelf above sink was slanted so things slip off, drawer in bedroom were the same. Couldn’t shut the curtains as was trapped between the bed & radiator, shower door had to be kicked / slammed shut. I decided to leave that morning a day earlier
It was ok to stay with family. The main positive is the location, otherwise very rundown.
Check in experience was dreadful. Old woman at desk took ages to find the paperwork to check us in. Old man at desk looked absolutely lost when i asked him questions regarding the room. Maybe invest in younger more energetic staff. The only positive is the location, otherwise very rundown. Toilet door lock broken, children using it were locked in and i had to forcefully open the door on numerous occasions. They provided a dusty fan, which hardly worked. Dirty ceilings and walls. Shower door worn out. Seems like nobody pays any attention to maintenance of the rooms. Tiny little bin, and water bottles provided were turning brown at the top making you question where exactly they were stored. Gave you vibes of a 1 or 2 star hotel at best.
Good price, no bed bugs and that’s what matters most
Little rough around the edges interior wise not that it really matters that much.
Location was excellent. Staff very friendly. Bed really comfortable. Room decor lovely. Room good temperature. Breakfast very nice. Have already booked for a return visit.
Room layout could have been different to ensure sea view from bed. No spoon with tea making facilities. Tea tray and cup dirty.
Staff were friendly and helpful
Hotel was outdated windows not shutting properly breakfast not very good no fruit offered decor needs re doing very old but staff were helpful and kind
Spacious family room
No cleaners, dirty bedding floor, smell, staff not helpful
Everything it was disgusting and cost a lot, I had insurance to cancel but said it would charge me
Everything was easy to find, the staff were very welcoming and friendly. The room was comfortable and great for a place to sleep when out and about all day exploring. Short walk to tram stop either just up the road or down to North Pier.
The rooms could do with updating with a lick of paint and mattress’ changing. The double bed I was in had a dent in it where people over time had sat and left the indentation. Nothing to bad
Ovrall very nice , staff were lovely , family friendly. Would stay again
No entertament . Shower step need sorting out as my dad fell .
The hotel staff were friendly and accommodating
all ok
朝食付きとロケーションを考えると、お値打ちだった。
設備上でやむを無いですが、駐車場が少ないと思います。
The room was a bit "tired" and didn't feel particularly clean. The bathmat looked like it hadn't been changed since the previous occupants. There was no hand wash in the dispenser by the sink. The breakfast was very disappointing. The cooked breakfast had obviously been sitting around and wasn't hot and was a bit dried out. The hotel was very full due to a group a dancers who were taking part in a competition staying there, so this might have been why the hotel didn't meet the standing we were expecting based on previous reviews.
Cleanliness, breakfast.
It’s location
Room and bathroom very small, and was unserviced on our second day
I like the location
I don't like th me factbrhat the WiFi was not working in the room.
Great location, good parking options. Room was comfortable and food value
Little noisey being right on the front and close to the tower. Only an issue if you are really sensitive.
Clean ,central location and good value for money.
Pictures online do not match what was on ground .
Nothing smells fresh or nice, very old .
Did not have breakfast, but the atmosphere of the communial/bar area was very good. Great TV which entertained the children we were travelling while we enjoyed a drink at the bar. Sea view room.
Nothing to recall, great hotel for a decent price.
I liked the location of the hotel, waking up on an ocean view was great, reminded me of home! The room was also nice and a decent size, it was bright an had a lot of natural light. There were no unpleasant smells and the bedding was clean, the pillows were okay as well. My daughter loved the games rooms and the view also. The bathroom was very clean also. The staff were very welcoming and made the stay pleasant for us.
I would have liked it if the housekeeping could have at least visited our room once for a change of towels and trash, since we were there for 3nights or at least be informed that they do not come into the rooms unless requested, something like that. Also I saw that they mentioned something about refurbishment but I hope they could sort out the ceilings ASAP, the paint was falling and some of the fragments fell into my drink and the night stand.
Having our breakfast, staff very helpful and friendly 😀
Going home .
We was expecting entertainment as it said there was none the place was dirty our bins didn’t get empty once while we was there we had to put the rubbish out of our door and it was there 3 days carpets had stains on room wasn’t cleaned once in our 4 day stay. Only the small bar was open. The breakfast fad over priced for what you got 1 sausage 1 bacon 1 egg and we had to do our own toast. Will not be returning unfortunately.
Booked the hotel due to its very competitive pricing and excellent location-sea front and within walking distance to all Blackpool has to offer. Checked in 3pm. Room was ready and we found it to be clean and comfortable. Comfy bed, nice linen. We had a sea view room and our concerns over road traffic noise were quashed as the double glazing was excellent ! We had a fab night’s sleep. Breakfast at 8:30 am was satisfying:cereals, juices and a hot menu choice as well. We would stay again.
Public areas needed a bit of tlc and the cleaners need a talking to…. Vacuuming and dusting needing attention.
The rooms were clean and the location was really good, close to all amenities. Our room had a sea view which was a really nice view to get up to. We did not have breakfast, as it was only served up to 9:30am so was too early for us.
The basement rooms, they only a small high window which did not let any natural light, and were damp, so we asked for another sea view room, but as there was only 2 double rooms available, we were charged extra, so the overall cost was more than if we had initially booked 2 doubles. We were also disappointed with the games room, the dartboard was loose and there was no light above it so we couldn't play darts, and the pool table was out of order.
Clean room and a decent size room. Breakfast was fine too.
Having to take towels back to reception to get clean ones. Bins in the room not being emptied which meant people leaving garbage overflowing in the stairwell bin. No entertainment. I believe these things will be addressed in the future maybe just some teething problems. I would stay again.
Great location and staff were brilliant! Quick and easy check in / out. Room was fine.
Excelent hotel.Spotless..Beds very comphy.
NothingGood value.Would stay again.
