Nach meinem letzten Aufenthalt 2023 war ich wieder in Kathmandu. Das Ramada Encore erweist sich dabei erneut als angenehme Ruheinsel mitten im lebhaften Kathmandu und bietet einen willkommenen Rückzugsort vom Trubel der Stadt.

In den Badezimmern zeigen sich an einigen Stellen leichte Gebrauchsspuren, die sich bei Gelegenheit auffrischen ließen.

Mitten im Touristenzentrum mit vielen Geschäften, Souvenirshops, Geldwechsler, Massagen, Bars, Restaurants...alles rund ums Hotel. Sehr freundliches, hilfsbereites Personal. Infolge früher Abreise hatten wir eine Frühstücksbox bekommen. Rooftop Restaurant und Pool. Gutes Frühstücksbuffet. Gute Betten.

Nichts. Auch nach längerem Überlegen. Hier stimmt alles

場所はタメルの中心地から少し離れてるので静かで、入り口に常にガードマンが立ってるので夜遅くなっても安心です。　また部屋はとてもきれいで朝ごはんが最高！サービスも良く文句なしのホテルでした！

Rooms were old and surrounding is so noisy from construction.

It’s located in very cramped space with entrance through a small lane inside the local market.

The room is big and well maintained and decorated.. we super love the space and the availability of hot & cold shower..bed is very comfy..staff are accommodating and professional..they provide great service!

The staff were amazing! I was stuck there during political unrest and curfews. Each of the staff there made sure all the guests were well cared for...with food, answering questions, letting us extend our stay, etc. The room size was large, and the shower was hot with good water pressure for Nepal. Also, the rooftop restaurant, pool, and sitting area was really nice with a great view. The breakfast had a huge selection. Also, the hotel is in a good location in Thamel.

The bed was not as soft as I prefer; however, if you like more firm beds, it will be perfect for you! Also, the doors in the hallways slammed pretty loudly.

Stayed here for one night. Great value for the price. The room was quiet, clean, and comfortable. Very central location. Only thing missing was room slippers-they should provide them.

I had an amazing experience at Ramada Hotel Thamel! From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel truly welcome with their warm hospitality and outstanding service. Every detail was taken care of to ensure a comfortable and memorable stay. The rooms are spacious, clean, and beautifully designed with modern amenities. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I appreciated the peaceful atmosphere—perfect for relaxation after a busy day in the city. One of the highlights of my stay was the well-equipped gym and the beautiful rooftop swimming pool. The gym had everything I needed for a solid workout, and the pool offered a refreshing escape with lovely views of the city—an ideal way to unwind. The location is also perfect—right in the heart of Thamel, close to shops, cafes, and local attractions, yet still calm and peaceful. The breakfast buffet was excellent with a wide variety of delicious local and international options. The rooftop restaurant was another favorite—great food and a serene setting. Overall, Ramada Hotel Thamel truly exceeded my expectations. Whether you’re here for business or leisure, I highly recommend it. A big thank you to the entire team for their exceptional service. I’ll definitely return!

Hotel view is beautiful. Staff is polite. The hotel has gym, Swimmimg pool facility. I have also used the spa which was amazing in reasonable rate. I was having hipper pigmentations issue which was cleaned just after one session. Food is amazing Just go for this without a second thought

This is a great hotel. I've stayed here several times and it's my favourite. The best thing is the location. Most hotels in thamel are surrounded by noisy bars but this hotel is very quiet and still close to everything.

This Hotel is in Thamel Market, good for shopping lovers. Rooms with Balcony is not useful, you can take rooms without Balcony at cheaper price. I also suggest Swimming Pool to be opened little longer i.e., beyond 7:00 PM, as after sightseeing we usually need to use it late. Rest everything was good, cleanliness, room size, services, breakfast, staff, everything is best.

Good stay. All good service and hotel close to all amenities. Breakfast us vast and good too. Pool area is a nice place to be too with Kathmandu view. I recommend. Shops are nearby and also restaurants. Everything is all good and we were happy.

The service was truly excellent—every staff member was friendly, attentive, and went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect. A special shout-out to the bartender Mr. Rudra, who made some of the best drinks I've ever had. Great atmosphere, great people—I’ll definitely be coming back!

A well maintained hotel with decent amenities. The hotwater shower was very soothing. Wifi had excellent connectivity. While the buffet breakfast had limited options, it appeared to be catering to a variety of tastes. Staff are extremely polite and well mannered.

I loved the service, and the rooms were lovely.

The staff were very helpful and cooperative. Security person were always ready to help and guide you correct options. Food was delicious and location is also middle of the city where you can easily access famous Thamel market. Overall it was good experience.

Location, clean, staff great, pool

This is my 2nd stay at this hotel in last 3yrs. My friends and I come for trekking trips and stay at this hotel. Friendliest staff, warm welcomes, always smile on every staff member. Clean and quiet rooms, daily serviced and clean towels. Breakfast buffet has lot of varieties helping carb loading prior to trek and enjoy guilt free binging after the trek. They also include local delicacies which are good to try. Overall would highly recommend this hotel for trekkers or non trekkers.

Hotel is well located in Thamel and well maintained. Room cleanliness well maintained too, Staff are friendly . Breakfast well spread like their Oat👍. If going back to kathmandu will definitely stay in this hotel again, will recommend to my friends and family

We had a great stay here (two rooms) before and after our Everest Base Camp trek. Location is excellent in the Thamel neighbourhood, surrounded by shops and restaurants. Reception and security are staffed 24x7. Our rooms were spacious and clean, with functional storage and nice bathroom amenities. Water pressure and temperature in the shower were excellent. Wifi was very good. We took advantage of their same-day laundry service (by item, not weight). They also washed our backpacks which were filthy/dusty from the trek. There is a big scale in the lobby for weighing duffles/backpacks for treks and flights. And conveniently, we were able to keep our luggage here during our trek. Breakfast on the main floor had a very good offering. And we lunched and dined at the rooftop restaurant several times - views and food were great. A shout-out to Ms. Bina and her spa team – they were amazing, and always accommodated the four of us for the times we needed (communication was easily done via WhatsApp). Our deep-tissue full-body massages, head massages, foot massages and facials were absolutely wonderful and helped us either prepare for our trek or with recovery afterwards.

I went to nepal for a vacation and once got to the hotel suddenly realize that my phone is missing. Ms.Nima who was at the front desk actively did the needful to retrieve my mobile. Thank you very much for your generous support which given me through out my stay. Although all the staff were very welcoming and kind and very active. One of the best stays ever thank you all. I loved EVERYTHING! From the moment I arrived, every staff member at Ramada Encore was incredibly kind and professional. A special shout-out to the gentleman who assisted me with my bags, the reception team, who patiently helped me with many requests, the lovely ladies at the spa, and the attentive restaurant staff. Their warmth and dedication to excellent service truly made a difference. The facilities are outstanding, exactly what you’d expect from a five-star hotel. I had an amazing rest and a truly pleasant stay. Thank you, Ramada Encore, for such a wonderful experience! I look forward to returning.

Location and cleanliness

There room doors have no soft close mechanism. It bangs every time you enter or exit the room creating such a loud noise that you will be jolted out of your sleep. It’s impossible to sleep in the night if you are a light sleeper as people are coming and going the whole night. I didn’t sleep for all the nights of my stay there

First timers without driver knowledge. Hard to find the place

The prime location of the hotel and all the professional services provided by them were really nice. I stayed for a week and only good things to share about, their breakfast and the rooftop pool with dining facility. Thanks to our organizer and the accommodation provider.

Very comfortable hotel

The hotel and staff are amazing. Ashish really was fantastic and helpful with all our needs. The rooftop bar staff were super too and the views are super. The food across the restaurants in the hotel have a good spread. The prawns in the bar and breakfast were the highlights. Recommend this place and I will surely be coming back.

Hotel is amazing and the staff was friendly to ensure we had good time to celebrate. Breakfast was simply delicious with multiple choice. From the waiter to the reception, everything went smoothly. The Omelette Chef (woman) recognized us right away. Thank you to Barman, Aashish, Nunraja, and Bhuan. Without a doubt, I would bring my family.

The food menu ,food is too costly and not worth the money

Location being in the main area of Thamel. Big, nice and clean rooms. A nice size roof top restaurant with a small swimming pool. Good range of breakfast. Restaurant area is nice. Spa is available. An adequate small gym, liked it. Immediately available hot water. A hair dressers shop is located near the entrance, super service.⁹

Only a small hitch, there was no slippers. They provided after I said it. Nothing to fault.

Dirty and old place, specially the bathroom is super dirty, the bathroom smells awful. The prices is more than the services. We decide to stay there two nights, but after just one night we moved to five star hotel. The location is excellent, but I couldn't stand the old smelly room

downtown location close to many touristic attractions

the hotel is literally located in a maze. Difficult to find it. breakfast 80% Indian food which I don’t like gym with outdated equipment.
