The staff was exceptional and made me feel welcome and safe. The location was so convenient near the Gautrain and shopping centre. Room was fantastic, huge and comfortable with great views. We stayed there 3 times during g our travels throughout ZA and it was a wonderful experience.

Perfect location. There is mall 2steps from the hotel. Very safe location. The restaurant by the hotel called Proud Mary is an absolute gem! Amazing cocktails and spectacular food. Hats down to the food quality and the taste!

O café da manhã foi um pouco confuso. Deu a entender que estava incluso, nos serviram um menu sem preços e depois que pedimos veio a conta. Mas estava delicioso, só faltou deixar mais claro que não está incluso na reserva.

Fantastic stay. Very well located, in a trendy spot, close to great restaurants, although their own restaurant also offered excellent fare. Friendly and welcoming and professional staff. The only challenge I experienced was not having quite enough room to put away my stuff - the rooms were beautifully designed but not very practical in just that one detail. I would highly recommend staying here - thank you to the wonderful staff!

The location is ideal close to the Rosebank Gautrain (very safe and fast) and the city bus tour. You can ask to be picked up in the golf buggy if you have luggage but it’s only a short walk. It also felt very safe with some lovely restaurants and shops in the area. The staff were without exception all excellent making us feel very welcome. The hotel has a fantastic vibe especially in the Proud Mary restaurant which we loved. The chocolate left for us at turndown was a nice touch - there is an Artisan chocolate shop next door and the chocolate is devine. I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel when in Johannesburg.

Can't say enough good things about The Hyde Johannesburg Rosebank. My mom and I went on our South African trip to celebrate our two and three year anniversary of being cancer-free and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, like part of the family. They were there whenever we needed them. Huge shout out to Tamara and Tivo and just the entire staff. I'm sorry I can't remember the names of everyone who helped, there were just too many. But every single staff member made us feel like family. When I needed a doctor, they got one to come to the hotel at 2 in the morning and checked in on us every day even after we checked out. The rooms were also beautiful and very spacious. The area itself felt very safe and had a bunch of shops and restaurants close by. But it is the staff that makes this place worth ten stars.

I spend 50+ nights per year in hotels, and I rarely meet staff as proactive and attentive as I did here. I was only here for just one night, but it was made incredibly memorable by Lebo. She handled a handful of tiny issues with fantastic efficiency and a great attitude. Because of her standout service, I would stay here again anytime.

Love the vibe and ambience. It was rugby weekend, so one of the nights was really lovely, with everyone kitted out in Springbok regalia. Love the location and just an absolutely amazing vibe. Breakfast is AMAZING! The decor in the rooms is lovely; I absolutely loved the concepts.

After a nightmare start at another hotel, The Hyde saved our night — from Gemina's calm reassurance on the phone, to Light quietly taking care of our bags before our room was even ready, the whole team seemed to anticipate exactly what we needed. Tamara went even further, arranging an in-room gift with a handwritten note for our special occasion on virtually no notice. The rooms were spotless and comfortable, the on-site speakeasy was a perfect nightcap, and having the mall right on the doorstep made everything effortless.

Honestly, nothing stands out - our only "wait" was for the room to be ready, and even that was solved with a lovely breakfast in the onsite restaurant which was amazing while we waited.

Nicely furnished and laid out. Smells nice as soon as you get in. Great vibe and friendly/helpful staff. Great restaurants, bars, and a coffee shop, and centrally located within the Rosebank precinct. Quiet air conditioner.

The room was next to the service lift. It made noise nonstop from early morning/dawn, and the water pipes (I assume) too. constantly made noise for almost the entire night. Very noisy and uncomfortable, and had to be awake early. Spoiled the whole experience.

Thankfully, Relo went above and beyond to assist us. Although the mistake was entirely ours, he quickly arranged a new room, upgraded us, and even provided a 10% discount voucher for dinner. His professionalism, kindness and genuine care completely turned our experience around, and we can’t thank him enough. Our room was spacious, beautifully appointed, spotlessly clean, and offered lovely views over Johannesburg. We chose to dine in the hotel restaurant that evening, and the meal exceeded our expectations. The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and our waiter was attentive and friendly throughout the evening. Breakfast the following morning was equally impressive, with an extensive selection of fresh fruit, juices, pastries, eggs cooked to order, pancakes, and plenty of other hot and cold options. There was something for everyone. Our only disappointment was that we were staying for just one night. We would have loved to spend more time enjoying the hotel and exploring everything the Rosebank area has to offer. A wonderful hotel made even more memorable by exceptional customer service. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Wonderful friendly service

Fantastic staff who will go above and beyond for you to be comfortable in your room. As a light sleeper , they moved my sister and I to a lovely quiet room, away from the elevators. The products in the bathroom were amazing. And it smelled great. Also, very impressive, a little handheld steamer for clothes. The breakfast at the Proud Mary was , as expected, very good. We also ate there the evening. The small plates can't be faulted. Overall, you can feel that the staff really enjoyed working at this hotel.

I would like to have a shower cap and a little vanity kit in the bathroom. Luckily I travel with my own disposable shower caps. I probably should have asked and they'll provide me with one.

Had a wonderful stay here. The rooms are clean and spacious, giving our family of 4 plenty of room to unwind. The hotel is located in a very safe area, which gave us great peace of mind. To top it off, the breakfast was excellent every morning. Highly recommend!

Spacious room. Separate toilet and shower. Having a Nespresso machine in the room, as well as a nice portable speaker which allowed me to enjoy my music while I got ready. The gym was also really nice with separate floors for cardio and weights. The location was quite central and a mall within a walking distance.

I love the aesthetic of this hotel. The rooms are well laid out and beautiful. The gym is incredibly impressive with many different rooms and machines. The breakfast was particularly good. Every member of staff was so welcoming and friendly.

Exceptional interiors, wonderful staff and convenient location.

Everything about this hotel was spectacular! The location was perfect, only steps away from many great restaurant options and the shopping mall. The surrounding area is bustling with people and there's a good amount of security guards and lighting too - we felt extremely safe walking around the Rosebank complex even after dark. The hotel itself is beautiful - pristine rooms, comfy beds, and nice items included in our stay (free breakfast, an assortment of complimentary snacks in our room, and the first separate shampoo and conditioner bottles we saw on our 2 week trip - a welcome luxury for those of us with long hair!!!). And despite being in the heart of Rosebank we didn't hear a single noise throughout the night (8th floor). The staff was so friendly and helpful too - they arranged transfers for us to and from the airport and the Apartheid Museum on short notice, and it was easy to charge those fees to our room which avoided the stress of worrying about how much local currency to have on hand. We were only there for one night as a brief stopover between flights, but would definitely return!

The breakfast was excellent, with a good variety and quality options to start the day right. The location is also a major plus as it's very close to Rosebank and within easy reach of shopping centres and plenty of great food spots. Overall, a fantastic experience, and I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

This was a difficult trip which was made so much easier by the helpful thoughtful and knowledgeable staff at The Hyde. May ı mention Relo and Sipha at Reception and Tebogo at valet. It goes without saying the property is excellent rooms clean and comfortable and stylish. But it’s the staff that really crush it. Thanks everyone

This hotel is faultless. The room we were upgraded to was spacious, with a very comfortable bed and a good sized bathroom with a shower and a separate bath. The service was second to none. The location is excellent. It is in a very safe area and we felt comfortable walking around to the many shops and supermarkets. It is only a few minutes to the Hop on Hop off bus ( a good, safe way to see the sights). We would definitely choose this hotel again. The attached restaurant is wonderful.

One front desk staff member was not particularly friendly, and unfortunately his handling of our check-out left us ending an otherwise wonderful stay on a stressful note. He blamed us for not pre-paying our airport transfer, despite us never being informed that this was required. There needs to be clearer communication around this process, and guests should not be blamed for misunderstandings that could have been clarified by staff. Thankfully, another staff member stepped in, quickly resolved the issue, and handled the situation with kindness and professionalism. It's a pity, as our experience was excellent aside from our interactions with him.

Hotel location was excellent, just near Rosebank mall with lots of eateries and shops nearby. Hotel staff were excellent in meeting requests ( safari tour, airport transfers, etc). Rooms were clean and fairly large. Not a fan of having toilet and bathroom as separate rooms though. Breakfast had limited selections especially if you are staying for a few days.

Cynthia is an excellent host from start. Bright, welcoming, confident, pleasant, respectful, competent, attentive, responsive, and interacts well with guests. Cynthia and her young, energetic team are impressive for hospitality they provide. They care by repeatedly asking about my stay, daily activities, and offer help when needed. They seem easy going, light spirited, fun to be with. Room is clean, fresh, stylish, modern, and comfortable. Personal care products in bathroom are of high quality. Quality coffee and tea supplies are more than adequate for several days. For environment sustainability, filtered water for drinking comes in tall glass bottle and can be replenished on request. Located within enclave with visible private security personnel stationed at various points, fairly wide, quality retail including Woolworths, and F&B options. Thank all for being lovely hosts. You make South Africa proud

One of the loveliest, friendliest and most comfortable hotels we have stayed in. Located in a secure area and close to the Rosebank Mall. The staff were so welcoming and attentive to our needs. Our room was spacious, clean and quiet. The food in the Proud Mary Restaurant was delicious. Thank you!!

We had two stays at the Hyde Rosebank, initially in early April & were forced to return a couple of weeks later after my wife suffered an injury. I can't speak highly enough about this wonderful hotel & it's amazing staff, the level of service & care was incredible from Emmanuel on the front desk, to Morris, Franklin, Leon and Grace along with many others to whom I apologise as there are too many names to remember but you were all incredible. The location is great for your stay in Johannesburg, we loved the room along with the food & drink service. From my wife and I THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, our situation was not ideal but you went above & beyond.
