The parking? You shouldn’t have to pay to park if you are a guest of the hotel?

Not only did i overpay for a room they have the nerve to charge $25 a night to park there on top of paying for a room , thats ridiculous .

The hotel looks 'half-finished' with bare concrete walls and ceilings - obviously some 'dippy-hippy' architect thinks it looks cool but it does not it just looks half finished - not impressed. Bed linen pretty low quality and in a hot and very humid environment you need the best bed linen - their bed linen was far from great - the pillows were also bottom of the rack quality. Staff really nice very accommodating . But like most Hiltons in the USA they no longer give you a full breakfast just a US$15 credit that cannot even buy you a continental breakfast - this is just cheap-skate offerings very disappointing. (I mean how much of a tight-wad do you have to be not to offer your high loyalty guest no inclusive breakfast - if you are in the USA stay in IHG hotels they still give their loyal patrons and inclusive brekky) very poor show hilton. Roof top bar - Its OK a bit soul-less , but they do a mean hamburger and the staff are lovely. Unfortunately next time I am in Melbourne, I'll be either staying at the doubletree or and IHG hotel Stop being so stingy Hilton and treat your loyal guest properly otherwise you ARE going to LOSE them

The room was very spacious and just as pictured, we loved the bar on the rooftop. It’s very close to the beach and right near Main Street with lots of restaurant options! Would stay again!

excellent place, well-located near railroad tracks. I had the rapturous pleasure of speaking with Monica, Destiny, and Tyler during a recent stay and they all seemed to be psychic with their ability to predict my needs.

We were in town for a softball tournament and this was one of the best places to stay! It was amazing service! The ladies at the front desk Cat were amazing. There was no bother with the noise levels. It was perfect that there was a restaurant on the rooftop and a cafe on the first floor! Great area for walking as well!

We recently stayed at the Melby Downtown Hotel in Melbourne, Florida, and had a very pleasant experience. The rooms are spacious, modern, and minimalist in design. While the décor is simple, the rooms include everything needed for a comfortable stay. One of the highlights was definitely the bed—extremely comfortable and perfect for a good night’s sleep. The front desk staff was attentive, friendly, and provided excellent service throughout our visit. The hotel’s location is another major advantage, with easy access to restaurants, shops, and downtown attractions. Considering the property is only about four years old, it has been very well maintained and feels fresh and modern. Overall, a comfortable, well-located hotel with excellent service. We would gladly stay here again

On returning home and unpacking my case I noticed that a new bottle of Creed Aventus Aftershave (50ml) had been taken from my suitcase during my stay in Room 915, I immediately emailed the Hotel on my return and reported the theft but as yet have had no response. The breakfast was limited and not a buffet, you are given a credit token for $22 against the menu and the cost of the breakfast always exceeds this. The room was never cleaned, only the towels were replaced daily, the bed sheets were never changed during the whole weeks stay and on the first day the bed was not remade

This is the third time we have stayed at The Melby. The Hotel Melby exceeded expectations once again and made our stay truly memorable. While the hotel itself is beautiful, what really sets it apart is the incredible staff. Every interaction was met with genuine warmth, attentiveness, and exceptional customer service. From check-in to check-out, the team went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcomed and taken care of. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and seemed to truly enjoy making guests feel special. It’s rare to find a staff so consistently kind and attentive, and they absolutely made the experience. If you’re staying in Melbourne, I highly recommend Hotel Melby—not only for the accommodations, but for the outstanding people who make it feel like more than just a hotel.

Location is perfect- easy to get to, so many places to eat and shop in close walking distance. Rooms are spacious and clean. Rooftop restaurant space was great. Hotel staff is responsive and all very nice. Monica and Loren at front desk were helpful and friendly.

From the valet, to the front desk with Destiny and Samantha - you’re at home. You get a feel of down-to-earth Luxury where actions speak louder than words. The gym is great, the rooftop is refreshing in the morning, and relaxing in the evening. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and maintain temperatures well. For the price and value at the restaurant it’s going to be hard to beat. Plus, my kids love the egg chairs in the morning for relaxing.

I checked in late in the evening to see Collin smiling in a clean lobby at his front desk. Already a great start! He swiftly checked me into a room, which allowed me to quickly salvage an evening I would already be starting late. I had a great evening enjoying the location! Ran into some new friends! The next morning, Barbara was kind enough to answer my questions about what the breakfast options were and the hotel restaurant location. She was very patient with me! Upon sitting at the rooftop restaurant table, I was able to immediately enjoy the sunrise over the atlantic and bay! What a glorious sight! My waitress, Lorin, had taken photos of the sunset. I asked her if she would show me her photos, and she quickly agreed! They were beautiful photos! Lorin provided excellent service throughout my entire breakfast experience. She was patient and indulged in a very short astrophysics conversation about the sun's distance. Pretty cool! Upon completing breakfast, I went to check out at the lobby. Monica was there and quickly checked me out of my room. I noticed Collin was present at the front desk in the morning, performing various duties at his station. On my way out, my friend needed to use a parking spot for a few minutes, which Barbara informed us was acceptable as long as it really was just a short few minutes. I accepted and took a short last walk with my childhood best friend before he dropped me off at the airport for the foreseeable future. Excellence!

We came back after a day out to find the door to our room ajar. The front desk said that there must have been an issue with the door closing mechanism, but even if that was the case, housekeeping should check the door is shut behind them when they leave.

Wunderschönes Hotel mit großer Tiefgarage und Valet Parking. Das Zimmer war groß und sehr sauber. Die Rooftop-Bar ist unglaublich. Die Aussicht konnten wir aufgrund Regen nicht genießen. Aber die Getränkeauswahl war sehr gut und das Personal freundlich und hilfsbereit. In der Nähe gibt es eine gute französische Bäckerei mit einem guten Frühstücksangebot.

Es gab bei uns am nächsten Morgen nur ein Frühstücksbuffet für 60 USD pro Person. Das ist für Leute, die einfach noch frühstücken wollen vor der Abreise einfach zu viel.

This hotel is so amazing the decor is really nice and very minimalist. The coffee shop at the lobby is fantastic and the roof top restaurant is a nice and perfect place for dinner and drinks. The location is a plus right at downtown where you can walk and have very nice choices of restaurants, chops and bars. Highly recommended.

Freight train rushing by at all hours beeping its horn at rail crossings. Ugly Cell tower about 200 feet away from rooms facing strawbridge street and waverly . Roof top Restaurant food marginal . Free breakfast not actually free. You get a a la carte voucher for a certain amount and anything above that is charged to your room . You must pay to park even if you are a guest .

We stayed at Hotel Melby for three nights when in town for a wedding. It was very clean and comfortable. It is located conveniently for many restaurants and bars in town, and there’s a rooftop restaurant and coffee shop in the lobby for on-site dining. The beds were very comfortable, and the rooms were large. Parking was easy, though it is paid. If I am visiting again, I’d definitely stay again.

We are locals and my husband and I stayed for a one night staycation. Had dinner at an upscale steakhouse downtown and visited the Landing Rooftop for a glass of wine before and cocktails after. The hotel has an upscale modern industrial feel which is fitting for the location in historic Downtown Melbourne. The room seemed well appointed with simple finishes and a clean feel, we had a standard king room. What keeps this hotel from getting five stars are the beds and water pressure and temperature. I like a hot shower and even with the temp tuned all the way hot it was just warm. The water pressure in the shower was average, but in the sink seemed like a heavy trickle. We stay at Hiltons frequently and always sleep well, but not this time. The mattresses and pillows were incredibly uncomfortable and we couldn’t wait to get out of the bed and head home. This hotel has the potential to be a refreshing gem in an area of several older and touristy hotels, but unfortunately falls short in the comfort department. I’m glad we were able to use Honors points for our stay and didn’t pay the actual price for the room. As far as the Landing Rooftop Restaurant, that was probably the best part of our stay. Drinks were amazing (highly recommend the smoked old fashioned) and we enjoyed relaxing and taking in the views by the fire pit. We did not order food this visit but what we saw looked delish. We will definitely return for a date night in the near future now that amazing spring evening weather is here. The valet was another area that they do very well. Quick, efficient (even though self parking in the garage was full) and you can conveniently text to have them pull your car up and they let you know when it’s ready. Super easy in and out, especially if you check in with the app and get a digital key. Definitely would recommend. Just a few areas of improvement would make this hotel one of the best we’ve ever stayed at.

$25 dollars to park … really ? You are staying there overnight , which usually means you are most likely driving . Ridiculous, just a money grab….

First and foremost, I must compliment the staff at The Melby. They are a step above even other Hilton locations. They are welcoming, incredibly patient, and have an impressive knowledge of both the facilities and the neighborhood. In particular, the front desk team, including Monica, Cat, and Collin (all exceptional), are wonderful and make me look forward to my next visit. The atmosphere of the property is warm and inviting, and the boutique style is appreciated. The rooms are spotless and comfortable.

The view was the most attractive of the property, and in addition to that was the rooftop bar, and the bed was very comfortable.

During our stay, the elevator shut down with people and children in it and it took a very long time for assistance to help them so that was a little discouraging when went to use the other functional elevator. Also as we were on the rooftop eating our breakfast, we were attacked by swarms of noseeums that unfortunately gave us bites all over and made it very uncomfortable to continue our meal without being disturbed, we actually had to relocate inside to pay our tab.

From walking in the door and being greeted so warmly at the desk to the phenomenal experience of watching the sunset from the rooftop restaurant, this place has an incredible vibe. It features a modern industrial feel but with more warmth. The staff couldn’t be more helpful and kind. In particular, Monica was wonderful about explaining everything related to our stay. Noel at the rooftop restaurant, The Landing, impressed us with her knowledge of the menu ingredients, the town, and the stunning sunset views from the top of the restaurant. I highly recommend staying at the Melby if you're ever in the area. It’s close to everything and within walking distance of all the best shops and restaurants downtown.

The Landing Rooftop is fantastic! We had Arlo as our server, and he was attentive, caring, funny, and incredibly helpful when it came to choosing what to eat. We all decided on the Angus steak burgers with sidewinder fries, and they were absolutely delicious. To top it off, we shared the chocolate ganache cake — a warm chocolate cake with berry sauce and a scoop of vanilla ice cream — which was the perfect ending to our meal. We arrived just in time to catch a beautiful sunset, making the evening even more special. What started as a simple dinner with my granddaughters turned into a truly memorable experience at The Landing Rooftop.

Valet was efficient and the front desk was extremely friendly and helpful in local restaurant recommendations. The room was just average, bed was comfortable. The air-conditioning unit made a little bit more noise than I would have preferred. Bathroom was fine, a little on the smaller side when two people are trying to get ready, towels are a little small not very soft.

Stayed for an overnight before our cruise. We arrived early. When Asked if we could check in Early the staff member at the desk was very unaccommodating. That is not why I give this a low review. I give it a low review because once we were able to be in the room we could hear every vehicle passing by. This being on the tenth floor. My night was not filled with comfortable sleep because I was awaken every time a car, truck or large vehicle passed by below. The room was clean and beautiful. The furnace I was loud when it turned on therefore I turned it off but it didn’t help with noise factor. So I don’t get much sleep.

My husband and I were pretty stressed when we found out we needed to switch rooms mid-stay due to peak travel season. Samantha immediately stepped in and went above and beyond to help us. She thoughtfully figured out a solution that made the move as seamless as possible — even keeping us on the same floor, which made a world of difference. What could have been a frustrating situation turned into a smooth, stress-free experience entirely because of her. My husband summed it up perfectly when he said (and I quote): “Samantha is an angel sent from heaven.” And honestly… he wasn’t wrong. She is warm, professional, solution-oriented, and an incredible face for this beautiful hotel. On top of that, the rooms were immaculately clean, stylish, and so classy — everything you’d hope for and more. We will 10,000% be staying here again. Don’t overthink it — just book. ✨

The hotel staff were amazing. The room looked like it was not finished and the way the bed was, I couldn’t feel the air and I was waking up sweating. The shower door in our room squeaked so bad when closing the door.

The atheistic of the room and lobby were stunning. I adore the chic-industrial decor. The bathroom was really thoughtful, although there was hand soap in the shower.

It was so incredibly loud. We could hear the person in the next room cough, in addition to the birthday party happening in the next room. We didn't complain since they cut it out around 11:30 PM. I would highly recommend some sort of noise dampening rugs or door sweeps.

The light by the bed didn't work. The railroad trains were noisy as was the street racing. I was charged for valet parking which is $24.00 a day and I never got valet parking.

I’ve been a regular at the Melby for multiple years and it’s easily the best option in Melbourne, from Foxtail coffee in the lobby and the rooftop landing bar to end the day, not to mention the other options immediately around the hotel. There have been many times where the front desk crew—particularly Lorin and Monica—have recognized me before I could even get to the desk and start letting me know that they fixed my reservation, or attached my Hilton account. Bottom line, they’re the best. If you’re staying in Melbourne for work or fun, there really isn’t a better option. I know, I’ve tried, and the couple minutes you save on a drive is not worth it.

In room 1005 AC was blowing black specs on the bed We were directly under the roof top bar and the band started at 9 pm until 11 pm. If we had known about this, we would have changed rooms. They should notify folks about the bar and noise level.

Excellent service with Arlo at the roof top restaurant- food was excellent, crafted drinks (bloody Mary’s) were exceptional. GOAT cheese salad, fiss tacos and tuna poke - all very very tasty - presentation also super nice.

My family and I chose The Landing to dine out for my wife’s birthday. The sunset view was phenomenal, the food and cocktails were all perfect, and the service was glowing. Roxy was our server and she went above and beyond to take care of us and make my wife’s evening extra special. Robert was the shift manager and also looked after us to ensure everything was top notch while providing fun and cheerful conversation. We enjoyed our evening so much that we have decided to make this an annual tradition!

New Year’s Eve Reservation I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this hotel on New Year’s Eve. I personally called the hotel directly using their local 321 phone number — not a third-party booking site — to make my reservation. Before booking, I specifically asked three separate times whether I could use a gift certificate I won in a silent auction for a New Year’s Eve stay. Each time, I was clearly told yes. I received a reservation confirmation email today and to be extra cautious, I called the hotel again to confirm my reservation and that I was using a certificate because I had trouble logging in. I was told again that my reservation was confirmed and that their system is quirky sometimes. When we arrived to check in, the front desk clerk refused to accept the gift certificate, claiming the reservation must have been booked through Hilton reservations site. I explained that I absolutely booked directly with the hotel by phone. Her response was that if they’re busy, calls automatically roll over to another site. How is a customer supposed to know that? Despite having confirmation and calling multiple times to verify everything, we were told the certificate could not be used for tonight. she instead offered to sell me a room for over $200. This experience was frustrating, misleading, and completely unacceptable. We relied on the information provided by the hotel itself and were still penalized at check-in. This ruined what was supposed to be a New Year’s Eve stay and reflects incredibly poor customer service.

Allan (and the food) were the real stars of the night - we had a great experience and are excited to come back! Chef Alexis outdid himself with the updated menu. Highly recommend the oysters rockefeller and grouper!
