Got interconnecting room with kids easy lobby access proximity to Disney parks great pool area and coffee shop
La habitación excelente, súper limpia y el personal genial
Está todo muy bien
Excellent location. The rooms are clean. The staff is lovely. I highly recommend and I travel all over the world. This is like a world-class hotel.
No complaints
Everything, very clean, beautiful, amazing staff
I liked everything
One of the best stays I’ve had in a hotel in the USA. Beautifully designed, comfortable rooms, most generous staff all over the hotel - receptionists, restaurant employees and really every employee. Lots of activities around the place, parking, proximity of the parks… this is my best recommendation!

Our stay was perfect from beginning to end . The staff we encountered were all friendly and professional. Our room was comfortable and so quiet. We had a beautful view of the pool and surrounding area. We enjoyed the amenities and all the resort had to offer . The location was convenient to all that we had planned . We will definitely recommend to others . Can’t wait to return again soon.
We have zero complaints
Las instalaciones, el personal muy atento, el transporte Disney incluido, el restaurante con comida rica

My wife and I travel to Walt Disney World frequently, and without question, the Walt Disney World Swan Reserve has become our favorite hotel on Disney property. We have stayed at many resorts over the years, but we consistently choose the Swan Reserve because of the incredible experience, outstanding service, and welcoming atmosphere. From the moment you arrive, you are treated like family. The valet and baggage team are always smiling, greeting guests warmly, and making every arrival and departure feel special. The level of hospitality throughout the hotel is truly exceptional. The food and beverage experience is another reason we continue to return. Whether enjoying a meal at the restaurant or relaxing at the bar, every dish has been outstanding. We have yet to have a disappointing meal. The bartenders are talented, friendly, and create phenomenal handcrafted cocktails. The wine and beer selections are also excellent and offer something for everyone. The pool area is the perfect place to unwind after a day in the parks. Fresh towels are always available, there are plenty of chairs and umbrellas, and the atmosphere is lively without being overwhelming. On many afternoons there is a DJ providing music, creating a fun resort vibe while still allowing guests to relax and enjoy the Florida sunshine. What truly sets the Swan Reserve apart, however, is the staff. Every team member we have encountered has been attentive, professional, and genuinely invested in ensuring guests have a memorable stay. I would like to give a special recognition to Miranda Campos, who has consistently gone above and beyond for my wife and me. As a Welcome Ambassador, Miranda exemplifies what world-class hospitality should look like. As a Marriott Ambassador Elite member, I have stayed at many properties, and Miranda is one of the most impressive hospitality professionals I have ever encountered. She always takes the time to check in with us, ensure our stay is going well, and provide recommendations tailored to our interests. She is incredibly knowledgeable about the resort, Walt Disney World, local activities, dining options, and even Disney pin trading, which my wife enjoys. Her professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine care for guests make every visit feel personal and special. One of our favorite experiences has been attending the EPCOT fireworks viewing event on the 15th-floor Vue level. The views are spectacular, and it is a wonderful benefit for Marriott loyalists. Experiences like these, combined with Miranda’s exceptional hospitality, create memories that keep us coming back year after year. The Swan Reserve is more than just a hotel for us; it has become part of our Disney tradition. The outstanding accommodations, incredible food and beverages, relaxing amenities, and most importantly, the remarkable people make this property truly special. Thank you to the entire Swan Reserve team, and especially Miranda Campos, for continually making our stays unforgettable. We cannot wait for our next visit.
Die Lage war super! Transfer zu den Disney Hotels hat super funktioniert

Great location, very clean because it’s a recent build.
Hotel Lobby and Public Areas were fine. The room was disappointing in terms of overall cleanliness. The area rug was stained/dirty; I was not comfortable walking barefoot. The front desk wasn't clear about parking charges; I was assured there was no parking fee for hotel guests.
Muito boa instalação, localização, limpeza e beleza do hotel.
Wi-Fi tem que pagar e o valor do estacionamento é absurdo sendo no mínimo 40 dólares por noite.
Location and proximity to Disney theme parks
Laundry facilities weren’t in same building. Customer service was average
I’m honestly surprised by the exceptional ratings for the Swan Reserve because our experience did not live up to them. The room was not very clean upon arrival. It was obvious the floors had not been properly swept or cleaned, and the tile floor was visibly dirty. Ironically, I passed a housekeeper carrying a vacuum, so it’s clear vacuuming is available, but it certainly wasn’t done in our room. The condition of the hallways was also disappointing. There was crumpled trash scattered throughout the corridors, which gave the entire property a neglected appearance. The quick-service breakfast location, Grounds, was another letdown. The food was extremely overpriced for the quality. We paid nearly $30 for greasy egg bites and bland Mickey waffles that lacked any flavor. Even the grab-and-go snacks felt excessively expensive. To be fair, there were a couple of positives. The beds were very comfortable and provided a great night’s sleep. Most importantly, Jeremy from Bell Services was absolutely outstanding. He was friendly, professional, helpful, and genuinely made our stay more enjoyable. Jeremy provided the level of service I expected throughout the resort. Give that man a raise—he was by far the highlight of our experience. Unfortunately, comfortable beds and one exceptional employee were not enough to overcome the cleanliness and food quality issues. Based on this stay, I would have a hard time recommending the Swan Reserve at its current price point.
High end property in an incredible location. Has to be able to host some of the best views in the entire Disney footprint.

Not a full disney hotel and it’s apparent in 3 ways.. a. Service is slower. Helpful but slow. (Front desk) b. Bar service is even worse. The bartenders would say how they let a bartender go early and had unexpected rush in evening…. Repeat this for every night you are there. It’s bad. c. The bus shuttle situation is not good, returning from magic kingdom evening? You have to shuttle to boardwalk hotel (an actual wdw hotel) and walk 14 min back to your hotel or catch an uber. After full day of Disney this isn’t good. They don’t even do a courtesy 2nd stop. d. The Reserve is in better shape but neighboring Swan and Dolphin are tired and old and are low tier vs any other wdw site. Expect remodeling construction in 2026-2027.
Sat poolside and had Haley as our server she gave great service! The DJ by the pool was great played a lot of great music, will be back!
The resort feels like a maze. It is pretty. The rooms are small but pretty decor, seemed clean, and beds comfortable. It is walking distance to Epcot and Hollywood which was nice. Also could walk to some Disney resorts for meals which was nice. They do have buses to the parks and Disney Springs, but the buses seemed very dingy and dirty. Not what you expect at Disney. The buses seemed very drivers were all very nice. You hear everything though. People coming in late at night being loud in the hallways and in their rooms. All of the road noise. It is just a very noisy place which we didn’t expect. Highly recommend taking a sound machine. Overall it was ok. Would I stay again? Probably not.
This hotel is in an excellent location, very close to the Disney and Swan & Dolphin resort area. It is not inside the resort complex itself, but directly across from it, making it extremely convenient. The location was fantastic, and the views were beautiful. The hotel was spotless, very quiet, and our room was in perfect condition with no issues at all. We felt very comfortable throughout our stay. One of the biggest advantages is the proximity to Disney’s BoardWalk area, which is within easy walking distance once you reach the Swan & Dolphin resort area. There are wonderful restaurants, a beautiful lake, and a great atmosphere for evening walks. Overall, we were extremely satisfied with every aspect of our stay. The only thing worth noting is that the Disney early-entry benefit for Disney-area hotels is only 30 minutes, unlike some of the advantages offered by Universal hotels. This was not a problem for us, but it is something future guests may want to consider when planning their park visits. If I return to the area, I would happily stay here again.

הכל הייה מושלם
The property is in a good location, the reception is basic there are far nicer places to stay with better facilities. We holidayed in the USA for a month, visiting from Australia and this was by far the worst service resort we encountered. Our room wasn’t ready at check in time, the manager Emily was extremely rude during our week stay and when leaving . Other staff were mostly friendly. The room itself was lovely and clean with a decent view. The sister properties have better facilities, service and restaurant options, the Mexican was amazing and slides good fun for the kids. I had a Balinese massage at the Dolphin/Swan, it was okay but not as nice as a Balinese massage in Bali for a fraction of the cost! The buses to theme parks are sporadic and don’t have a timetable which isn’t helpful! The boat was easy to catch to Epcot and Hollywood Studios but from across the road at Swan/Dolphin. Marriott Guest Service Employees were extremely unhelpful and condescending during and after our stay and essentially we were overcharged $700+ (we have left it up to our travel agent to deal with the refund) I would not recommend, nor return to the Swan Reserve for Disney World Trips based purely on the low Marriott service standard.
Location - you can walk to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. Close to nice restaurants also.
Pillows were hard- but that’s no big deal
Service was great Amare restaurant was 5 star The chefs were incredible addressing my wife's Gluten free food
The Swan Reserve is my preferred hotel when visiting Walt Disney World. While there's a few flaws, it serves the purpose well, especially for adults visiting the Disney parks. It's a newer property. Such a full service, pricey resort hotel associated with Marriott having an 11 a.m. rather than 12 noon checkout time was disappointing. The rooms aren't spacious, but they're modern, comfortable, smartly designed and well appointed, including a sizeable bathroom with gorgeous walk-in shower. The towering hotel provides distant views of some Disney parks or other nearby attractive resort properties. The self-parking charge is steep. Disney's Boardwalk is a short walk away. The pool area at the Swan across the way is quite attractive. For access to Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios, the nearby water taxi between the Swan and Dolphin is the way to go. The resort's own buses pick up and drop off at all of the parks, plus Disney Springs. The only downfall is visiting Magic Kingdom -- unlike the official Disney transportation, the resort's buses can only take guests as far at the Ticket & Transportation Center, requiring a monorail or boat ride to get to Magic Kingdom (allow an additional half hour). Breakfast at the Swan Reserve is outstanding. The buffet is as good as a hotel breakfast buffet gets in the United States. Even the continental breakfast portion of it is impressive, including an extensive selection of juices and pastries. Service is generally top notch throughout -- The concierge is very helpful and the breakfast wait staff and the valet parking/door staff are fantastic. If you have higher Marriott Bonvoy status, sadly, you may not get the level of acknowledgement that you're accustomed to, especially if requesting a late checkout
La ubicación
I booked this hotel for several reasons. First off, I wanted a suite separating the main bedroom from where a teenage child could sleep. Having space was a priority. I also knew we would be visiting all four main Disney parks on separate days. The WDW parks are so spread out that there is no ideal location to stay. So, being close to Epcot and Hollywood Studios by walking or ferry was a plus. We knew those parks are not that big so I wanted an easy option to go back to the room in the early afternoon before heading back for nighttime fun in those two parks. We knew the Swan Reserve’s location would require us to stay in the Magic Kingdom all day because of the complex entry logistics that park has, but that was just for one day. I also wanted Marriott points. I figured if I was going to pay very high rates for Easter week, then I might as well get some benefit from it for future travel. Our room was nice and as expected. There was just one bath, but it had 2 separate sinks, which made it easier for 3 people to get ready. The pool area was just ok. It would be nice if there was a pool that was just for 16 or older. Some peace and quiet away from screaming kids would be nice when wanting to relax for a couple of hours after walking through a park. As a titanium elite member, I received a $30 per day credit at the hotel store. This was convenient for a quick breakfast and coffee before heading to a park. Overall the hotel met most needs, but I was expecting some more “reserved” amenities. Basically this is a nicer hotel for visiting WDW parks and getting a larger suite. However, there is nothing special about it. It is branded as Autograph Collection for a reason - to me it is similar to the Renaissance brand. Some thoughts on dining… We stayed for 5 nights to visit the 4 parks. The first day we arrived in the afternoon and just sat by the pool before eating at Il Mullino at The Swan. The next 3 days we ate at the parks - Be Our Guest, La Hacienda, and Brown Derby. We did this to have quality meals without having to rush to another destination. I highly recommend doing the same. For our last night, we ate at Flying Fish at the nearby Boardwalk area because Animal Kingdom is a small park and we could get back in plenty of time. I have reviewed all these restaurants separately. Regarding the parks, if your budget permits, definitely buy lightning passes. It makes a big difference during peak travel times.
We stayed at the Swan Reserve Hotel while we were visiting Epcot for the weekend. Check in was slightly busy, but the line moved and we were greeted by a friendly staff member who gave us lots of helpful information. I do think that the check in area is a bit smaller than expected given the amount of people coming through. The suite we had was a great size. They even had a pullout sofa bed made up already upon entry, which would be great for families (we are a couple). The grounds aren't as grand as some of the other hotels, but I think it's meant to be th is way, hence the hotel name "Swan reserve." It was a nice walk to to get to the sister resorts and not a bad walk to Epcot. We did enjoy our stay and would choose this hotel on a future visit again because it's a slice of peace in the chaos of the parks.
Location
Let’s me start with saying that this is not your typical Disney resort. If you’re ok with a standard hotel without all the Disney theming then this is a great choice. This is a newer hotel that is clean and quiet. The rooms are small but they have killer views (at least the ones facing Epcot) and great showers. The staff were also super friendly and helpful. If you’re traveling with small kids or this is a once in a lifetime trip then this probably isn’t the place for you. If you’re a Disney adult like us with older kids who have done it all there, then this is a great choice.
Very new hotel that was just built. Very modern with bright decor.
The Swan Reserve is a lovely hotel. While staying on Disney owned properties probably provides the best overall park experience, for Marriott owners the Swan Reserve and sister properties is a close second. The hotel is walking distance to Epcot and qualifies you for early park entry. The hotel is modern, bright and upscale. They were able to accommodate my request for nearby rooms which was helpful since we were babysitting our granddaughter. We had Epcot view rooms and delighted in watching 3 fireworks shows from our bed! I was very happy with the rooms. Across the street, you have access to a playground, “beach”, restaurant and other activities. The Disney boardwalk is a short walk further and has more dining options. You can take Disney busses and ferries from there. We had been staying at Grande Vista but took one night at the Swan Reserve to have easy access to Epcot. It was a nice break for all of us.
The resort is awesome. However the service level at “Amare” needs attention. 10 minutes before greeted at restaurant. Then sat for 15 minutes until Restaurant Manager Gabriel came by…..she immediately remedied situation. Very unusual and hopefully won’t occur again. We’re loyal fans of resort and try to use restaurant versus Cake Bake!
Sorry but can't give a strong rating for a hotel which charges $50 per night "Resort Service Package" and does not offer a single thing as part of that package. Rip off. Just increase your daily rate instead of charging people for "Grounds", "Occupancy/Tourism", and "Resort Service Package" along with tax for each. I did not even mention the extraordinary $40 per night for self-parking in an open-air parking lot. This is an example of a hotel who is trying to lure you with per night rates, only to add all these extra fees. I am all for a federal mandate on this issue based on hotels like this one.
Amazing and helpful staff. Clean and comfortable hotel.
Rooftop wasn’t available due to some unknown circumstances.
An excellent place to stay. The comfort and service delivered exactly what you would expect at this price point. Very convenient walking distance to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios. We’ll be back.
I had a mostly wonderful stay at the Walt Disney World Swan Reserve. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful—modern, elegant, and thoughtfully designed. The décor throughout the property is stunning, and the rooms are equally impressive: spacious, stylish, and very comfortable. I appreciated having a mini fridge and a Keurig machine in the room, which made the stay feel more convenient and upscale. It's also very close to Epcot, about a 10 minute walk or a slightly longer complimentary water taxi ride. Dining at Amari was a standout experience. The restaurant is not only aesthetically gorgeous, but the food and overall experience were excellent. It felt like a true highlight of the property and something I would recommend even to non-hotel guests. Unfortunately, my experience was significantly impacted by an issue after checkout. I accidentally left my medication in the mini fridge, stored inside a cooler pack. When I contacted the hotel, I was told by security that it was not there. I can’t say for certain whether the next guests took it or if it was discarded by housekeeping, but it was definitely left behind. What was most disappointing was the lack of concern or follow-up from the hotel regarding this matter. Medication is not a trivial item, and the response felt dismissive, as if the situation wasn’t taken seriously. Overall, the Swan Reserve is a beautiful hotel with excellent rooms and dining, but the handling of my lost medication left me with concerns about accountability and guest care. I truly wish this had been addressed with more empathy and urgency, as it overshadowed an otherwise lovely stay.
Bottom line upfront: Convenient location, newer, smaller hotel that meets basic needs. Transportation: we opted to take the transportation offered by the hotel, while it was a bit pricey, it was very convenient! And both drivers that we had were friendly and accommodating. Check-in: While there was only one person at the actual check-in desk, there was an employee at the concierge. She was so friendly and kind and assisted us with check-in. She offered to place us on a list to view the Epcot fireworks on their top floor during the inhouse party where you can hear what's happening at the park and you have access to snacks. Not sure this perk is offered to everyone so be sure to ask. Room: Pretty standard room. We had a suite and I didn't feel it was anything spectacular. It was your standard hotel room. I believe the cost per night is more to do with the close proximity to the parks than it has to do with the room amenities. The hotel is on the newer side and is smaller than it's sister properties so it does give a more quiet and upscale feel. Gym: Adequate. Park transportation: one day we took the bus to Magic Kingdom and as others have stayed it drops you at the ticket and parking lots but we preferred that so it worked. The boat ride to Epcot was short and made up for the long ride to Magic Kingdom that we experienced. Also the boat goes to the Boardwalk where you can transfer to take buses that will drop you at the entrance of Magic Kingdom. Please note that you can walk to the Boardwalk area. In fact one day we did because the boat had just left and it would have taken us longer to wait than to walk. Pools: we only visited the Dolphin pool because it was large and had a slide. There is a pool within the hotel that is more quiet but it doesn't have the bells and whistles of the Dolphin. Food: we didn't eat at Swan Reserve but did walk to the Boardwalk and Dolphin hotel to have food. There weren't many food options located in the hotel itself.
Maravillosa ubicación e instalaciones. El staff muy amable y los restaurantes también muy recomendables.
We stayed here for a quick weekend trip to go to the holiday parties. Check in was great. LeeAnn is a great ambassador for this hotel. She was so pleasant and very informative. We had an Epcot view. The room was spotless. The bedding is great and the room was quiet for sleeping. You do have to pay for parking but then you get free parking at the parks. It's very walkable to Hollywood and Epcot. We just used the coffee shop and the barista was so friendly and nice. Download the app to order ahead! This is truly a 5 star resort that shines on the grounds of WDW!
Clean. Great location.
Nothing. It wasn’t superb.
From being greeted by bell services to checkin process the stay was amazing. We enjoyed 1 week in a corner suite with fireworks view. The room was very clean, huge, and was full of everything necessary to enjoy your stay. Comfortable living room area 3 huge TV’s a giant dining room table, charger ports everywhere, fridge, Keurig, separate toilet with shower room with sinks in both. Extra large bedroom with very comfortable bed and temperate controls in every area robes to lounge in. Room service was had on multiple occasions and was delicious and arrived very fast. They have an onsite cafe where you can get cold brew, espresso drinks and chai. They have some ice cream options, candy, and bakery items. We didn’t do the pool, but it looked great. Wish they had an onsite laundry room, but they did have a very fast shuttle service to the other building with laundry which was massive and more food options. I highly recommend this hotel, the staff, the amenities, and convenience are top notch. My son is still talking about the “swan pastina”.
Swan Reserve is an excellent Disney resort that is within a 15min walk of both Epcot and Hollywood Studios. It's enough out of the way so you can get some relaxation, but still get to Swan/Dolphin and the parks easily. The best part of this hotel is the service the staff provides. We had a family emergency and they were incredibly accommodating to our changing plans. That alone will make me continue to come back to this resort. The rooms were also super clean and the Greek restaurant was excellent. A bit pricey, but I guess that's Disney! Thanks again to a great hotel staff and stay. We will be back!
Just a fantastic place. The bar off the lobby was excellent with great food and service. The Amare in the hotel was also fantastic. And the room was also outstanding. We saw the fireworks every night. Also the location is great to walk to Epcot or Hollywood studios or take the boat. We look forward to staying there again.
Convince to park
Don’t think you should have to pay to park. Should be included in price if stay.
I travel 90 days a year. That’s 90 hotel nights. As a business traveler I often dread coming to Orlando because it always feels like chaos and while I love children, it’s overwhelming when you are on your 20th business trip of the year. That said, the Disney Swan RESERVE is easily my top 3 if not 1 for my travels this year. From the incredibly supportive and efficient Elijah at the front desk to the super friendly housekeeping staff that delivers on any special requests to the folks in the coffee shop making my matcha latte… everyone is proudly there to help. The rooms are immaculately clean. This is critical for someone like me who has a severe dust mite allergy. The robes, slippers and extra fluffy towels make for a cozy way to relax after a long day of business meetings. I looked forward to coming back to my room like it was home. Best of all, I watched the Disney fireworks from bed every night. I couldn’t ask for a more pleasant stay. It was a great respite after a year’s worth of business travel. They made every experience stress free. I will always stay here when I travel back to Orlando. If I have only one complaint, it would be the distance of walk to the Dolphin Hotel convention area. It rained one day and it was a long walk outside back to the hotel. Not to mention crossing multiple lanes of traffic to get to the other property. But in truth that was a minor inconvenience against all the other amazing positives.
I rarely write reviews, and I usually do so for mostly positive stays. I have had a string of mediocre experiences at Marriott properties recently, and this continues that trend. My two biggest concerns are the pillows, which needs to be addressed since I'm now seeing on multiple review sites that many people comment about the horrible pillows. I think maybe they are using larger pillows into smaller pillow cases causing the pillows to be incredibly uncomfortable-- I'm still dealing with neck pain 4 days after checkout. My other autograph collection hotels have had excellent pillows, but not this one. My second issue is with an erroneous $35 extra person fee added to my booking X 3 nights + taxes/fees. Our booking was made directly with Marriott for 2 adults and 1 child and that's exactly the number we had in the room. The front desk agent told me that this is an issue for people put in rooms with two queen beds since technically 4 people can stay in the room and is often added manually by the reservations team even if they don't have 4 people in the room. What a bizarre approach. I booked for 2 adults and 1 child and should not be charged extra because the room holds 4 people. We did not have an extra person in the room. I was told it was removed from the bill. A few days after I returned, a pending charge turned into a permanent charge on my credit card and it included the extra person fees. You can't get someone on the phone to fix this, rather you're instructed to fill out an online form and wait for a response. And I can't complain too much about the $50/night + taxes resort fee since that was clearly disclosed at time of booking, but you certainly won't get any real benefits from it. Just add it to the advertised hotel rate since no one is extracting any value out of it. Otherwise, it feels like a silly money grab.
We arrived 1:30 am. The female staff member who checked us in was incredibly rude and wanted to be difficult. She acted annoyed that we disturbed her and she had to get up and do her job.
1 I’m rating this hotel a 1 because of our horrible experience at check in. We arrived on Thursday, at 4:30. My daughter, who had booked this Disney trip for my birthday, was told by the front desk that they didn’t have a reservation for her, even though she had her confirmation number and that there was nothing they could do to help as Chase Travel must not have sent the $ (prepaid) or the reservation and there were “no rooms available.” She had booked through Chase. She had a confirmation number through Chase Travel and Marriott. My daughter called Chase Travel and they put her on hold for 35 minutes, but confirmed that she had a reservation. They could see her booking info. The front desk agent still didn’t see the reservation and wouldn’t help. In the meantime, I got on Disney Guest Service Chat and quickly explained that we were told we didn’t have a room and that they had no rooms for us. They were able to pull up our reservation in seconds and the agent said, “I see your reservation and will connect your name to the reservation to the reservation as well. I will stay online with you until this is resolved.” I gave our keys to the valet attendant and raced to the lobby to find my daughter talking with another front desk agent. Still nothing and then suddenly, “is there a Carver attached to this reservation?” That is my last name, so we excitedly said yes. They said well that’s why we couldn’t find it because it was under her last name. I said it was only put under my last name two minutes ago as I had nothing to do with the booking, but Disney guest services was able to help us when you wouldn’t. There was no, “I’m sorry for the inconvenience or there must be a glitch in OUR system….” Not an apology for the time wasted (at least 1 and 1/2 hours) nor the added stress. No help at all from the front desk agents…. That being said, the Disney Guest Service Agent was AMAZING!!!! Maybe this resort should see if their front service agents could receive training from Disney in how to treat their guests. I NEVER write poor reviews, but the lack of care or assistance given to our family was disappointing and absolutely rude. Once our room was released to us, it was nicely appointed, but the fold out couch was uncomfortable and the linens had a faint scent of feces…. We thoroughly checked the room and determined it must be the water used to wash the linens. Sincerely, B. Carver
We stayed 4 nights- using 3 Marriott "50k Free Night" certificates and one paid night. This seemed to be a great deal for a "deluxe" hotel that receives on-property Disney benefits, but it was a mess. When I booked it, the reservation agent said the only way they could book it was as four separate one-night reservations. This meant I had 4 different confirmation numbers and received 4x the usual emails about a hotel stay. To enjoy the Disney benefits, you have to link the Marriott reservation on the My Disney Experience website. The numbers they gave me would not link. I kept trying over the course of several weeks, but I finally had to contact Disney and put in a work order to link them. Seven days before we checked in, I logged on at 7 am eastern to book lightening lanes for our first day in the parks. However, I couldn't do it because the reservations for the first two nights had come unlinked. I spend 2 hours on the phone with a combination of Marriott and Disney to try to work this out. It ended up that they had to put in another work order to link the reservations again. Then, 7 days before the 3rd night of our reservation, I logged on early to book more lightening lanes, but that reservation had come unlinked, too (despite the fact that it was the only night that was linked when I checked 2 days earlier). So frustrating. At check-in, the reception agent wrote the wrong room number on my key card envelope. So, after traveling several hours and just wanting to get to our room, we got to our "room" only to find out the key didn't work. We had to go back to the front desk and learn that we had been told the wrong room number. The pillows were among the most uncomfortable pillows I've ever had at a hotel. They were WAY too high and too hard. We had sore necks after sleeping on them. The biggest problem, however, was that on the second night, at around 2-3 am, the light in the entry area of our room just came on by itself. I got up to turn it off again and noticed that the thermostat had also changed to 72 degrees (we set it at 68 when we went to bed). I was traveling with my teen daughter, and it was very unsettling to have the light just come on in the room with nobody moving around. I had a great deal of trouble going back to sleep and didn't sleep well the rest of the night. The next morning, I reported the problem to the front desk. A young man working there assured me that maintenance would investigate. But that night at 2:37 am, the exact same thing happened again. The light came on and the thermostat was changed to 72 degrees. Again, it was very unsettling and interfered greatly with my sleep. The next morning, I returned to the reception desk and learned that nobody from maintenance had ever visited my room the day before. Finally, a couple of engineers came by the room. They were initially stumped, but I received a call later saying that they had identified the problem. Because I had 4 separate reservations (Marriott's choice, not mine), the system was "checking me out" of the room each night, and the system returned to the default settings. They were able to fix this, and I was able to sleep my last night there. Nobody at the Swan Reserve or Marriott ever did anything to compensate us for any of these problems. The lack of sleep I experienced because of the weird light coming on and the ridiculously bad pillows greatly interfered with my enjoyment of this trip. However, the management at Swan Reserve did nothing to express concern/remorse for these problems. Very disappointing experience. I'm a Disney annual pass holder and have a couple of reservations at Swan Reserve for later this year. I'm looking at other options now.
Bed sheets smelled like mildew and were sour.
The hotel is very clean modern and beautiful
The food is very expensive
We stayed for 2 nights on the 5th floor. We are seasoned travelers in our senior years. We arrived at 10:00 pm to be told that our room wouldn’t be upgraded despite having Platinum and Titanium status. We were put in a small room that was clean and comfortable but no where near magical and believe me when I say we have been in some truly magical hotels with rooms that had all the bells and whistles for the same price. Here’s the thing. We are not hotel snobs. The description of the hotel gave us a sense of there being something extra special about this hotel, more so than the Swan or the Dolphin, also Marriott properties. We have stayed at these properties and were quite satisfied with the rooms! The glam was phenomenal, typical Disney and fun to walk around in. This hotel? Boring. Room? Dull and ill appointed. The good: Sheets comfy, no true quilt but rather a thick, quilt style blanket. We had a full length wall of windows that looked over the next property and roadway. Nothing special. TV? Fine. Sliding door to bathroom. Nice. Clean bathroom and room overall. Nice small refrigerator, small safe, 2 white robes. Good quality shower shampoo, conditioner and liquid soap. A nice large, oval grass basket under the sink holding an assortment of towels. We were given coupons for a Continental breakfast in the Amare restaurant which was nice. For $15 more pp we could have upgraded to the hot buffet. We had a wonderful and very professional waitstaff person! Thank you, Chris! The not so good: Someone decided to take 8 king sized pillows and stuff them into regular sized pillow covers. The result? Bulky, hard-as-rock pillows. All 8 of them. There was only a nightstand between the 2 beds. Nothing to put items on if sleeping on the outside, which was weird. The coffeemaker was surprisingly old fashioned using K-cups that have been scientifically proven to be toxic. The shower was a bathtub with a rain shower and separate hand held water head. The sink was not as well appointed as other Marriott’s. No containers of toiletries. Just soap and lotion. Nothing ‘magical’. Because we had a medical alert dog with us we received no housekeeping services. The room smelled musty on the second day, which isn’t uncommon in Florida. Because of this, hotels in these types of regions need to be extra vigilant about replacing their filters more frequently. Bring a small one if you are ever in a questionable hotel in Florida, as well as a small air purifier . You will be glad that you did. I forgot to mention that check-in was a lengthy process and with only 2 people assigned to the desk, we waited for 20 minutes. Yes, people do arrive regularly after 9 pm, Mr. Marriott Ambassador.
