We liked the included breakfast and the rooms. Rooms were modern, clean and well equipped with fridge, microwave and coffee maker. The beds were comfortable. The property is about a 10 minute drive from the centre of Antigonish where there are a number of shops and restaurants. The property itself has a small restaurant and bar although we never used it.

The breakfast was hot and plentiful. The bed was exceptional best sleep ever. Having laundry on site was a plus and not expensive.

Great Staff. Clean and nicely decorated hotel with comfortable beds and pillows. Also, a great hot breakfast was included and well stocked.

This hotel is right off the highway. Gas station, diner and pizza place nearby. Clean, quiet, comfortable bed. Nice breakfast offerings though the coffee is weak and poor. We asked for a luggage rack. The only 2 in the hotel were already in use. Fridge and microwave.

I loved that our requests were granted. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a bit hectic when everyone was there at once. The flow of the breakfast buffet needs improvement. Very crowded and long wait times for toast and pancake maker.

The fact there was a double billing that had not beeb corrected the last time I checked my credit card statement!!!

We had never stayed in a Microtel before. It was great! Very clean, really nice staff, convenient location, quiet and very good breakfast. Looks to be new. Would definitely stay again!

Our room was huge and quite comfortable. The staff at the front desk were very nice and accommodating. I was in town for a conference, and they kindly printed my materials. It was also very convenient that there were laundry facilities on site. Having the restaurant downstairs was also very handy. There was space and green grass around the hotel where I could walk my dog. All in all, the hotel was perfect for what we needed.

It would have been nice to have a king-size bed option.

The breakfast was delicious. I liked that you could have dinner without leaving the hotel. The hotel had laundry facilities.

Enjoyed my stay at the Microtel Antigonish. Large clean room with all the amenities. Plush bathrobe, comfortable bed. Breakfast had lots of choice. Pool and fitness room. Hotel is just off the highway and just minutes from STFx and downtown Antigonish. Everything is accessible, quiet and pleasant. Happy to recommend it to friends and family.

Very clean, AC excellent, staff excellent, beds very comfortable, quiet room, location good for short stay as right off hwy. Great gym. Next to a convenience store for food, and pizza place that delivers, and the hotel has its own restaurant for dinner.

The hotel had large breakfast variety. There were no vegan protein alternatives, like vegan sausages, tofu, steel cut oats, soy yogurt, and very few fresh vegetables. Also you do need to drive into town. Too far to walk but that’s ok.

Clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good. Lots of choices. Certainly fit everyone’s dietary needs. Dining area clean.

We wanted a map of the Cabot trail but there wasn’t any. Could use maps of this and local areas

Lovely hotel, beautiful room, comfortable bed and everything we needed or wanted. Staff was friendly, hard working and made an effort to make sure we were happy.

I was here for a conference. The beds are very comfortable. Hotel is overall very quiet even with large group of conference goers. Front staff are excellent; friendly and capable. The lobby bar and staff is worth a visit. The breakfast is included and contains a variety of hot and cold offerings. I was pleased to see that the scrambled eggs were not the cheap, soupy version in other hotels. Great breakfast!

Hockey kids running amuck - Ive stayed on 3 separate occasions and every weekend there are issues with unsupervised children running around knocking on doors, screaming, jumping in elevators etc Absolutely no respect for other guests

The location! Close to the town. Can be easily seen from highway.

Cleanliness was sub par. Towels were dingy. Issue of leaking brown substance from plumbing in the bathroom sink. Reported to front desk. Had someone go to address issue. Leaking continued.

The staff were amazing! We loved the cleanliness of the room, bathroom and pool facilities.

Clean, bright and super friendly and helpful staff. Very nice bar and breakfast area. Kitchen and front desk staff were happy to answer questions about GF food options for my celiac family, and there were lots of options at breakfast. We didn't use the pool, but others in our party said it was clean and very nice. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

For a newer property, it was not as clean as I expected it to be. Bath towels were not cleaned well. Bathroom tub and sink were not as clean as they could be. Bed linen was dingy as well. I requested new towels and received towels that were not washed well. Also something brown kept leaking from the bathroom sink. I notified the front desk and they said they would address it.

BEWARE of Billing Issues. Was charged twice for the same room. Contacted hotel and not willing to refund or reverse charge. Clear error on their part and after reading other reviews seems to be an issue at this location.

Always a great place to stay after a long day of work. The rooms are fresh, clean and welcoming! You can't go wrong with breakfast in the morning, yummy.

breakfast was disappointing

Checked in online and arrived to find he keys to the room waiting… We walked into a bright, clean queen room with pullout couch… Kids splashed in the pool for hours before a quiet sleep then we enjoyed a hot breakfast in the morning before we left… We’ll be back!

Friendly and helpful staff. Room had great kitchen amenities. Breakfast was excellent! Fitness room is good.

Food at the restaurant/pub was 'ok'-not fabulous. No children's menu which is challenging when you arrive late and want a quick supper suitable for a 'picky kid eater'. Please consider adding a couple of a little more kid friendly items-chicken fingers. cheese pizza, burger:)

Das Zimmer wurde nicht immer gleich gründlich gemacht - teilweise nur ganz oberflächlich. Im Korridor und beim Frühstück war es sehr kalt - was andere Gäste aber offenbar nicht störte.

The shower was not as strong as I prefer. It took a long time to get both the shampoo and conditioner out of my hair!

Our stay was close to ideal. It was at the juncture of two highways and close to town if you had a car. The breakfast included was very good and there is a restaurant and bar on-site as well an excellent pizza outlet next door as well.

Customer service was good, rooms clean and comfortable, breakfast was great.

The room service food was terrible.

Front desk staff went out of there way to find us a room when there were vertually none available. They tried a few groups/companies to find out if all their people were coming for the booked rooms. They then were told that one person was not coming till the morning. So they then gave me that room. All other hotels in the area were also full. We would have been sleeping in the car if it was not for their perseverance and commitment. The rooms were also very clean and comfortable. And breakfast was good.

The use of smart phone was unnecessarily complicated. Your password was complicated. The personal photo requirement you had for secirity reason was a pain ice ass, especially that upon usage the system did nor recognize when I produced another photo at your request. To complete the picture the breakfast was the worst I have ever seen. All that for a very high price. You will never see me again but you may read about my comments on tourist satisfaction in NS

We hoped for a quiet room after long driving day. We got a room facing heavy and noisy highway traffic.

Basic hotel more suited for business clients. Beside noisy road. Food in restaurant was poor quality. At breakfast there was an empty fresh fruit plate at 8am. Was told there was no fruit left. Not a great choice of breakfast food left. Room was basic. People above our room had heavy feet or thin ceiling!! In the evening we bought two glasses of wine and were chased from our comfortable seats to sit in the basic eating area. A bit pedantic especially as we were residents.

The room was rather small, but clean and modern. The glass in one of the windows was broken, but staff said they knew about it and the work order had been put in. Ok breakfast, nothing special. Crowded hotel, because of the ferry and summer travel. Very nice staff. Not a bad room, not a bad hotel, but the high price reflects the high demand for hotel rooms in Antigonish, especially during the summer.

Staff are incredibly attentive including front desk personnel. This is our 3rd stay within the past year. Keep up the excellent work as our son Is at STFX for another 2 years.

Perfect location to reach the airport. The rooms were nice and we had a great dinner in the restaurant.

Nice and modern, great amenities! And the staff was exceptional, we were in town for a medical procedure and they helped us with late checkout, which helped immensely with our stress.
