Close to everything , plus the pool, hot tub and sauna were a bonus

Parking easy and breakfast in the motel's partner cafe was very good.

The motel is located right behind a major shopping mall, difficult to find and not very attractive, and not very close to town centre. We were treated rather off-handedly by check-in staff. It's decor and furnishings had a very 'tired' look.

Location of hotel is in close proximity to St FX where my daughter goes to school

1. TV did not work. Found it wasn’t plugged in. When it finally powered up there were no (0) channels available. Called front desk and got answering machine. 2. Found black specs on the bedsheets. Was concerned there were bed bugs 3. Feel I had no choice to pay higher price due to no rooms available in town. When checking in overheard someone walking off the street got room for $60 less.

Nothing !They lost our reservation , CONFIRMED 6 WEEKS AGO. Had to drive 73 kilometers for new lodging. Manager supposed call following morning never called. Have yet to receive refund of $593.67 LAST CHANCE HOTEL-

Our room was wonderful but the staff were absolutely fantastic. The breakfast was excellent A thoroughly wonderful weekend away celebrating our anniversary.

The pool was fine but that is perhaps the only thing that wasn’t fantastic

The room and decor need updating. Bathrooms are tired. Noisy in the morning due to doors banging. Expensive for a basic room.

Room was clean and a nice size. Loved the smart tv and the ability to connect to our subscriptions .

Only complaint would be the pool area. The temperature inside the pool area was extremely hot.

Bonjour MR. Lors de ma réservation j’avais réserver une chambre avec deux lit double. Après avoir été vérifier la chambre.Je retourne à la réception pour dire au responsable que ce n’étais ça que j’avais réserver. Il me proposais une petite chambre avec un petit lit double avec un poêle et un frigidaire. Après plusieurs minutes de discutions avec la personne du lobby il n’a pas été possible de faire changer de chambre. Il me dit que ce n’étais pas de la faute de l’hôtel que c’étais la faute de Bouking.com Et si je voulais changer il fallait que je cancelle la chambre proposer.Et de faire une demander de remboursement. Fait à noter la personne responsable du lobby à été extrêmement gentil et d’une grande patience.

The room 302, was dingy, badly maintained and badly needed decorating for the price paid it was a huge disappointment. I could not recommend this to my friends or family.

We appreciated the breakfast coupons and the breakfast was just delicious! All staff were super friendly and helpful too! The bed was comfy and the room was clean. Even though the hotel as a facility was very dated, and is due for a makeover it still had much interesting character!

I’d say a detrimental effect was the not very welcoming scent of the old elevator.

The beds were comfortable and it was near the highway and lovely campus. Food was within walking distance.

We didn’t like that breakfast was stated to be included, which was not true. A voucher is provided for breakfast at the hotel’s attached restaurant, which doesn’t pay for breakfast entirely if you want a decent breakfast.

1950 stove wrapped in tin foil. Kitchen appliances but not cutlery or pots. 2 lumpy pillows and tv didn’t really work

Close to everything with the mall, several restaurants and the venue for Antigonish Highland Games. Nice to have a kitchenette and large fridge in our room. Great to have breakfast in the attached restaurant partially covered with the room cost. Scottish names and decor are a nice touch. Rooms are dated but clean.

Whole facility is quite dated, and could use some updating and renovations. Bed was well broken in but still comfortable. The door not locking without a tap from the card was something we had never encountered before and kind of bizarre. Would have been nice to have a desk and chair in addition to the love seat and a coffee table.

Very poor service, not friendly. Room was awful the bathroom was disgusting. They say free breakfast but its a voucher that does not cover the average simple breakfast with a coffee I had to pay the difference. Just awful place dirty run down and not friendly at all. slow checkin as well

Great location - close to stores and restaurants. They provided a voucher to use at the attached bistro. We were just driving through Antigonish and staying one night, and this hotel was very suitable for that purpose.

Check in only until 10pm. Shower grout not the cleanest. Unable to eat breakfast as it was not until 8 am (after start of first meeting). Perhaps better for a family than for a business traveller.

The facility needs upgrading. It's being maintained well by staff but needs to be updated. The bathroom shower needs replacement. The beds were very comfortable, and the room was cozy, and clean. The smart television/wifi system is a bit too much to navigate after a long drive.

Voucher for breakfast was a nice touch, as was the Justamere Cafe. A nice surprise.

The area around the property was not the most inviting. That being said, for our purposes, a one night stay en route elsewhere, there was everything we needed. Easy on/off the highway. A grocery store, liquor store, restaurant all within yards of the hotel. Desk staff were friendly and engaging.

The hotel is mostly renovated and looks really nice. The beds are comfy but what sold me when I was booking was the vouchers for the restaurant. After staying two nights I decided to always book Claymore Inn. I have since stayed another 2 nights. My daughter and I have girls weekends and she loves it for the pool and the restaurant. It is close to everything, just across the parking lot is Boston Pizza. I found everything else we needed was less than 10 mins. away.

The pool facilities need work. The size of the pool is great, it's not freezing and having the access to a hot tub was nice too. The sealing around the hot tub looks kind of gross, the wood steps seem to be peeling. The water seemed cloudy and I wasn't sure how often it was being changed/how well the filters were working. We still enjoyed using the pool but I expected more.

Very friendly staff, loved the Madonna in the garden and the Crucifix on the wall as well as the Claymore sword . Very friendly waitress at breakfast. Clean room and great access off the highway and back on. Thank You very much Dan and Joan

I appreciate there were no carpets in the halls or room. Room was comfortable. Streaming TV was convenient. Breakfast in the attached restaurant was excellent, but the voucher could have been communicated better.

Toilet bowl was very low. Towel missing. Heating system very noisy. Tv worked intermittently (streamed in and out).

Personal am Empfang war total nett und zuvorkommend. Zimmer waren sehr großzügig und sehr gut und funktional ausgestattet, besonders die Betten waren sehr bequem. Toll war auch der inclusive Zugang zum Schwimmbad im EG. Besonders lobenswert war das leckere und sehr großzügige Frühstück in der angrenzenden Bäckerei, bei dem wir den Verzehrgutschein vom Hotel direkt einlösen konnten. Danke!

We had a girls trip over from PEI and had a crazy drive in the snow to get to the inn. There was a mixup with the reservation (not the fault of the hotel) and the front deck person - Nannish I think - was super wonderful to us. So kind and helped us for over an hour to get it right. The beds were wonderful - shower was great and the breakfast in the restaurant attached to the hotel was wonderful. I wish we had more time to explore the area as the hotel is attached to a mall. I imagine it is lovely in the summer. highly recommend this place for the service and value for money.

Didn’t like waiting for room to be ready so late in the day. But I guess that’s the norm (4pm) for most establishments these days.

The food is marvellous. Super fresh , great quality and served hot. Service staff friendly . Great coffee too!

Very quiet and clean hotel. Good price for the value. The breakfast was included up to a certain price that was fine with us. I an vegan and they really went out of their way to bring me a delicious vegan breakfast. The management was available and helpful to us at all hours.

Very dated. And there are apartments in the building as well. So there was alot of noise of people coming back and fourth

The property was in a great location close to some shopping and dining. It was a 15 minute walk to main street. The staff were friendly and helpful. Responded quickly when I let them know the tub did not drain properly. The $15 credit for the onsite restraurant was nice. The restaurant, however, was not the greatest.

Average hotel. A bit dated, but had everything you would need in the room. Front staff was friendly, $15 voucher for pick-from-menu breakfast at attached restaurant, 4 minute drive to downtown. I have no complaints.

Room was probably the noisiest room ever in 50 years of international travel. An ice machine, a vending machine and a stairway access door were literally right outside our door. The ice machine was not enclosed and was located right in the hallway. The ice machine in particular was just ridiculously loud, humming all night with loud bangs every time it was used which was frequently. Combined with a loose fitting door with a large gap at the bottom (that I attempted to fill with a bath mat) created a very lousy sleeping experience. Attached restaurant next door was quite good but $15 “free breakfast” voucher was pretty skimpy and didn’t cover the full cost of the least expensive hot breakfast. Not a good experience to say the least!

Hotel is a bit dated, but rooms are clean. Soap dispensers at sink and in shower - so if you like a bar of soap, bring your own. Check in was slow, so bring your patience. Restaurant and free breakfast were nice.
