Room was very clean with great air conditioning.

Breakfast was the worst I have experienced in a hotel anywhere in Europe in the last thirty years.

Very clean with pleasant staff. Great breakfast in the bar area in the AM, Also, great roof top bar with amazing views.

The breakfast and the coffee was good, except the eggs. They seemed to be made with water. There was a sign that said hash browns but they weren’t there.

There were just a few coat hangers so not enough to gang clothes, no place to hang towels, except 2 knobs big enough for hand towels, no way to reach the front desk except to call on our phones which wouldn’t work for European calls, no hair dryer in my room so I had to walk down to the front desk and ask for it, the check in in the bar was not convenient. They called a cab to the airport for us and said it would take less than 5 minutes, but I had to go back in 3 times and it took 20 minutes. This was probably the cab company’s fault but the front desk woman offered no apology.

Very comfortable and sound proof rooms. Good location, perfect vibe. Helpful staff.

Great breakfast with plenty of options and good location close to the train and bus station. Hotel had a really welcoming atmosphere and the rooms were clean and modern. Staff was really friendly and helpful.

There were no free amenities like toothbrushes or toothpaste

The room set-up was really efficient, and nicely done. The staff was lovely, and the rooftop bar was a great place to have a cocktail.

We felt the breakfast was pricey for what was available, and we paid in advance. There was also construction going on.

Die Parksituation am Hotel ist nicht gut. Auch zum Ausladen steht man eigentlich im Halteverbot. Wegen der Dachbox konnte ich nicht in das vom Hotel mit Sondertarif (10 statt 24 GBP/24 Std) Parkhaus fahren und hatte deshalb im zwar näher gelegenen Q-Park 2 x 24 GBP zu bezahlen. Aber so ist es eben....

Pagata un prezzo altissimo e ingiustificato per una stanza buia, piccola e con un bagno indecente (piccolo, tavoletta del water mobile, scopino rotto e cattivo odore!). Inoltre c’erano impalcature alle finestre per lavori di ristrutturazione, essendo sabato non lavoravano, ma le tende continuamente chiuse rendevano la camera e il soggiorno un tugurio ! Ovviamente non ero stata informata!

Da limpeza no dia anterior à nossa saída: as toalhas foram trocadas, mas o lixo no quarto não foi retirado e o sabonete não foi reposto. Ademais, deveria ser informado que a mini geladeira disponível não funciona.

It was in a good location to the main part of the old town

There was wires hanging out of the bathroom mirror above the sink , no lock on the bathroom door . Breakfast was terrible, honestly the worst hotel breakfast experience we’ve ever had .

Die Lage war sehr gut – innerhalb von 20 Minuten war man fast überall.

Die Zimmer sind sehr dunkel. Man hatte oft das Gefühl, mitten in der Nacht zu sein, da die Beleuchtung nicht besonders gut war. Zudem befand sich ein Gerüst vor dem Fenster, sodass kaum Tageslicht ins Zimmer gelangte. Die Zimmer sind eher klein, was jedoch nicht weiter schlimm ist. Ein Kühlschrank im Zimmer wäre allerdings wünschenswert.

L'hotel è a pochi passi dal centro di Edimburgo e considerati i vari prezzi, il suo è un bel punto di forza. La camera era ben arredata con letti comodi e pulita. Gli spazi erano adeguati e il bagno pulito con un bel box doccia spazioso.

Capisco che all'estero non esista il bidet, ma addirittura bloccare il telefono della doccia lo vedo esagerato, scomodo e insensato costringendo così a farmi la doccia ogni volta. E questa sarebbe una colazione? Un buffet con 4 piatti miseri con poche scelte e pochissima varietà. Un Hotel che ospita centinaia di camere senza uno spazio dedicato per la colazione, praticamente la facevamo all'ingresso e siccome lo spazio del buffet era minimo potete immaginare anche le lunghe code per servirsi e per la macchina del caffè. Lasciate perdere, la colazione meglio farla fuori.....

Nos quedamos un total de 4 noches, y todo súper bien. La ubicación lo mejor, está a unos 15/20 min de todo lo esencial, además tiene una parada de bus justo en frente. El desayuno bastante bien, las habitaciones limpias y más grandes de lo que pensamos. No hablamos nada de inglés y nos pusieron todo súper fácil.

Por ponerle alguna falta, lo único que podría mejorarse son las almohadas. Por el resto todo genial.

The room was fine with a nice bathroom, very comfortable bed and extremely effective black-out curtains. Three lifts to the rooms, good location for getting into the city.

Possibly the vibe was a little too informal for our taste, but that's a personal thing. The breakfast area is sandwiched by the bar which takes up a large portion of the internal floor space, making it a little congested.

Az ágy nagyon puha, az ágynemű nagyon hangos, csörög. Az szobánk ablaka alatt volt a szemetes tároló, ahol hangosan pakolták, szállították a szemetet.

Das Hotelzimmer war sehr dunkel, weil man den Blick in einem sehr dunklen Innenhof hatte somit kaum Licht ins Zimmer fiel, also war es egal ob die Vorhänge zu oder offen waren

Very crowded at breakfast, taking time to restock food at busy times. More seating area will be good as some of them were lounge area, not for a sit down meal. More clothing store space, no wardrobe just 4 hangers.

There was a fusty smell in the room (4th floor) possibly coming from the shower room drainage. The breakfast was awkwardly laid out and tables not clean. Not a relaxing experience in the morning. Edinburgh hotels seem to have all sky rocketed in price, but this felt over priced for the amenities and quality provided.

Vi betalade extra för frukost, men personalen hade problem varje morgon att hitta vår bokning. Även vid incheckningen var det problem. Personalen var lösningsfokuserade, allt löste sig så ingen skugga ska falla över personalen utan det verkar mer vara något i själva boknings/betalningssystemet som behöver uppdateras.

Schönes Hotel in guter Lage. Gegenüber ein Cafe und Sandwichladen, ein paar Meter weiter ein kleiner Supermarkt. Zu Fuß in 15 Minuten in der Altstadt. Badezimmer klein aber fein, Frühstück genug Auswahl und freie Platzwahl. Nach dem Check Out konnten wir das Gepäck noch im Hotel lassen, Personal sehr freundlich. Tolle Dachterasse mit Bar.

Great location, 10 - 15 minute walk to the Haymarket Railway Station, Bus stop over the road, easy access to everywhere. Hotel was great, lovely breakfast, and very clean room. Most staff were lovely and helpful, one or two needed to put a smile on their face, but other than that i would recommend this Hotel, would use again if visiting Edinburgh.

No where to place my clothes near bed. Breakfast very disappointingly disorganised... no flow to set up. So dark couldnt see items properly. Literally everything was running out. From bacon, sausages, juice machine and fruit compote etc

I stayed at Moxy Hotel Edinburgh on 29 August. The hotel has a nice atmosphere, and the staff were helpful and polite throughout our stay. However, unfortunately, we had an issue with the cleanliness of the bedding. When we arrived in our first room, we noticed stains on the pillow cover.We reported this to the staff, and they kindly changed our room. Unfortunately, we experienced the same issue in the second room, where there was again a stain on the duvet cover. The staff arranged another room for us, and thankfully, the third room was clean and everything was fine. I appreciate that the staff listened to our concerns and tried to resolve the problem by changing our room. However, having to change rooms three times was disappointing and made the beginning of our stay quite stressful. I hope the hotel can pay closer attention to the cleanliness and inspection of bedding before guests check in. Overall, the staff were helpful and the issue was eventually resolved, but I believe this is an area where the hotel could improve.we paid £592 for 3 nights , but the second day we left the hotel, also they have no wardrobes in the room.

Nett eingerichtetes Hotel, relativ große Zimmer. Super Lage, 15 Minuten zu Fuß zum Grassmarket und 20 Minuten zur Royal Mile. Bushaltestellen in unmittelbarer Nähe.

Das Personal war beim Empfang eher pampig. Preise während des Festivals sehr hoch, wenn auch im Gegensatz zu anderen Hotels immer noch leistbar.

We travelled to Edinburgh for the Military Tattoo. We chose the Moxy Edinburgh because of its location close to the Castle area and the city. It was walking distance and on good bus routes. The bed was comfortable but had a slippery mattress cover under the bottom sheet! Reception was open 24/7 and the staff were all very courteous.

Room was small and compact. There were 4 hangers for clothing but no drawers or other storage so we had to live out of our suitcase for the 3 days we were there. There was just one fitted seat unit plus a pouffe and only one bedside table. The bathroom was tiny, like a cupboard! The carpets looked tired and worn. The room was not cleaned or made up after the first night. When we mentioned this we were told it was only done after we had been there 3 nights unless we requested it! Which we did. We had to chase housekeeping staff for top ups of coffee, milk etc for the room. The buffet breakfast was served in reception and was a bit of a free-for-all. Grab food then find a table……It had good cereal choices and hot food. However one morning they ran out of butter and on another the scrambled eggs ran out too. Overall it was very expensive for the room and facilities offered.

We stayed three nights in the Moxy Extra Sleeper room, booked for three people. The location is good and the common areas are pleasant, but several things didn't match the listing and the service slipped. The listing includes a wardrobe or closet. There was none — no hanging rail of any kind. What we had were two narrow pegboard grids with hooks, not even positioned next to each other. For three people with luggage in a 21 m² room, there was nowhere to hang or store clothes. A socket near the bed is also listed as a facility; one of the two didn't work. One of the two mirror lights in the bathroom was out as well. The listing describes both a sofa and a sofa bed. In practice, the third sleeping space is a single armchair-width fold-out, not a sofa. If you're booking for three on the strength of that description, that's what you're getting, and the room is very tight once it's open. Housekeeping was the worst of it. On day two the room wasn't serviced at all — nobody came during the morning while we were out, and when housekeeping arrived around 4pm we were getting ready to go out and asked if they could come back a little later. Nobody returned, so we had unmade beds and no fresh towels for the night. On day three the beds were made, but the sheets and pillowcases hadn't been ironed. I know Moxy is a pared-back brand and I wasn't expecting a minibar. But amenities that are explicitly listed should exist, and a serviced room with fresh towels isn't an extra.

They were extremely accommodating allowing early check in & late check out, despite being very busy! Clean well designed room. Each floor had an ironing room rather than ironing board & iron in the room, great idea.

Air Con didn’t work - forgot to report it No moisturiser or cotton buds etc provided just basic shampoo conditioner & soap.

Location is pretty convenient, maybe a ten minute walk to the center of town. Rooms were very pleasant. Bed was very comfortable.

There was no air conditioning, which is pretty typical for Scotland. But, with the temperatures as high as they were we had to leave the windows open. There was a bit of street noise, and people yelling at two in the morning.

Hotel was clean, functional and in a good location.

Breakfast was chaotic, but given it was festival time that could be expected. Items were slow to be replenished and cups seemed to be in short supply.

Beim Frühstück kann es während stark frequentierten Zeiten zu Engpässen mit Geschirr und am Buffet kommen. Die Mitarbeiter sind aber sehr schnell da und füllen auf!

The rooftop bar is incredible; the bar team are friendly, it’s well decorated and the views are beautiful. We enjoyed the charcuterie and cheese platter. The bottle prices are also reasonable and they offer a good selection. Conveniently located! The hotel is across from a bus that goes across the city, and only a ~10 min walk from Haymarket station. It was also close enough to walk back from the city after a day of sight-seeing. We also enjoyed walking along the canal in the evenings which is just behind the hotel, only 20 seconds walk away. The room is a comfortable size and we appreciated the minisofa. The bed was also comfortable and the room was kept very clean. I liked that you could open the windows if you prefer fresh air to aircon. There was lots of seating in the lobby/cafe/meeting room area. Good, strong wifi. Power outlets on both sides of the bed so you can both charge your device.

There were a lot of uneven surfaces in the hotel, from various bumps on the ground floor to needing to lift my suitcase into the lift AND the hotel room - it was that uneven it couldn’t roll or be dragged in. I fell over a random spot in the lobby. While some of the team were friendly, others were not. It could be that there were tired due to it being Fringe season? Be wary of leaving your luggage as it’s stored in the gym, which is accessible by other guests too. There are some locker facilities, but only 2/3 of them can it a full suitcase which isn’t enough for a hotel of this size. There isn’t enough space in the bathroom for 2 people - not even space to hang 2 towels. Housekeeping replaced our towels everyday, which was nice. however, we would have preferred the extra towel hook to save water etc.

Loved the rooftop bar and we had a glorious sunny Edinburgh afternoon to enjoy it! Moxy hotels are quirky and cool and this one didn't disappoint. Perfect location for the Deacon Blue concert at Edinburgh Castle. Had a great stay.
