Grand Mercure Malang Mirama

Nous avons séjourné deux nuits au Grand Mercure Malang Mirama dans le cadre de notre voyage de noces, et ce fut tout simplement magnifique. Nous avons passé un séjour exceptionnel, bien au-delà de nos attentes. Dès notre arrivée, toute l’équipe s’est montrée incroyablement attentionnée à notre égard. Entre les magnifiques décorations de notre chambre, les petites surprises et toutes les attentions tout au long de notre séjour, nous nous sommes vraiment sentis privilégiés. Un immense merci à toute l’équipe pour avoir rendu cette étape de notre voyage aussi spéciale. L’hôtel propose vraiment des équipements et des installations au top. Tout est pensé pour passer un séjour confortable : plusieurs restaurants, un superbe espace piscine, des espaces très agréables, un parking pratique avec notamment des emplacements pour les scooters, une salle de sport particulièrement bien équipée avec du matériel de très bonne qualité, ainsi qu’un excellent service de blanchisserie. Nous avons également testé le restaurant et avons adoré. Mention spéciale au petit-déjeuner, qui est tout simplement génial : un buffet extrêmement généreux, varié et copieux, avec énormément de choix. Il y en a vraiment pour tous les goûts. Notre chambre ainsi que la salle de bain étaient parfaites : très confortables, impeccables et avec tout ce qu’il faut pour se sentir bien. L’emplacement est également idéal, en plein cœur de Malang, avec de nombreuses choses à proximité. C’est aussi une excellente étape pour partir à la découverte des magnifiques cascades de la région, notamment Tumpak Sewu et Kapas Biru. Et surtout, nous souhaitons adresser une mention toute particulière à Yogi, qui a été absolument formidable et véritablement aux petits soins pour nous pendant tout notre séjour. Sa gentillesse, son attention et son professionnalisme ont largement contribué à rendre cette expérience encore plus exceptionnelle.

I was here only for a few hours but the staff and the interior decor made a great impression on me. The staff offered to give me a packed breakfast-to-go at 12:30am as I was leaving for my sunrise tour. The room was beautiful and decorated really well.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The rooms are very spacious, especially in terms of square meters, which made our stay very comfortable. What we really appreciated was that nothing seemed to be too much trouble. Whatever we needed or wanted to arrange, we could simply ask, and the staff were always happy to help. They also arranged excursions for us directly from the hotel, which made everything very easy and convenient. Overall, a fantastic experience thanks to the great staff and excellent service. We would definitely stay here again!

The towels colour in the room was similar to the one used for cleaning the floor. Had a massage at the spa and the towels smells damp. Improvement is needed.

The hotel is quite clean and staff is friendly. Pool facility was good and well maintained. Breakfast is full of local food.

Vegetarian options were limited in breakfast and has lot of scope for improvement and upgrade the variety of food.

I had a wonderful stay at Grand Mercure Malang! The staff were incredibly friendly and the service was truly excellent—everyone made us feel very welcome. The facilities and atmosphere were top-notch. My only small suggestion for improvement would be to work on the towel softness and ensure they have that fresh, clean scent. Overall, a fantastic experience and I would definitely recommend staying here.

Het design van het hotel was niet ons ding, de lobby weerspiegelt naar onze mening niet een een 5-sterren hotel, het leek eerder een ontwerp voor een shopping mall en oogt ook rommelig. Ligt ver weg van het oude centrum.

Omgeving is erg druk om het hotel heel, kan het hotel niks aan doen maar hierdoor kan je niet makkelijk zelf op stap gaan en moet je altijd een taxi pakken.

An amazing hotel with so many activities and excellent services. The breakfast and restaurant are outstanding. The prices are slightly higher than average for Indonesia, but they are absolutely worth it because of the quality, generous portions, and overall dining experience. The staff were simply perfect,friendly,professional, and always ready to help. We only stayed for three nights due to our travel itinerary, but when we return to Indonesia, we will definitely stay here again. The hotel also organized our Mount Bromo tour. We had a small misunderstanding, but the hotel handled the situation in an impeccable way. They genuinely cared about making sure we were satisfied and went above and beyond to resolve everything. We also requested an express laundry service at the last minute before our early departure, and the staff arranged it without any problems. If you’re staying in Malang, you simply have to stay at this hotel. Highly recommended! Grazie!🇮🇹🇮🇩

The room was nice and there was a good view. The dinner restaurants were okay. The staff was very friendly and helped us organise a Mount Bromo tour which was very enjoyable.

There were a lot of ants in the bedroom even though we were on the 7th floor. The breakfast had a lot of options but not really good European variety.

Disappointing! Needs Improvement! Our short stay at this property was disappointing for several valid reasons. The first annoying factor is the deception of a Junior Suite having no lounge access. This was clarified as having access on the social media, since modified I observe, though I still have the original information for the record. Without any transparency of no lounge inclusion provided for our suite room, we headed to the Skylounge on the 19th floor. We were just initially stared at in silence by one of the staff members, and further as I prompted an approach by the other unsmiling, unfriendly staff member questioned if it is afternoon tea, having observed the elaborate circular food decoration in the expansive lounge completely devoid of any guests. We were told in Indonesian that this is a paid in lounge at a rate of IDR 200k per per person, we then asked as we were staying in a suite room we were under the clear impression that it was inclusive. Apparently not, occurring to the surly lounge staff and her clueless colleague. We then left the Sky lounge rather dissatisfied. I have stayed in a great array of properties whereby services standards are so much more communicable and professional than this property. In addition, notably the Junior Suite #1602 facing the main road is rather noisy, double glazing would have been a desirable option on the windows for obvious reasons. The windows were not clean, with previous guests hand prints on the windows still evident. The bathroom seems to have a pungent odour emanating from the drain. The room is devoid of any iron and ironing board as specified on the official room inclusions. The restaurant for breakfast has many offerings along with helpful staff, however most of the food is cold/lukewarm in the food warmers. Annoyingly, the photography reps seem to hang around the lifts canvassing for clientele, information that has already been provided at check in. The lobby on the ground and first floor resembled a pasar with all of the trinkets/souvenirs been offered obstructing the walk through areas. The lobby seems disjointed with a distortion of access to the pool area, a pool that is rather cold. Lastly, the location of the property is poor, a distance of around 15-20mins drive from the historic and desirable areas of Malang. Due to the evident shortfalls of this property and without an interest, explanation or follow up from management or even asking how our stay was upon check out, I have decided to voice our realistic and poor opinion of this hotel. On a positive note, we did continue our stay in Malang in an alternative lovely hotel with impeccable service to match.

Stayed at Grand Mercure hotel for a meeting. Good hotel, spacious rooms, prompt and kind staff. They have a large swimming pool in the Center which has a water slide also. The food is good and the breakfast buffet has many options. Our meeting was on Friday, they had a prayer in the afternoon in the ball room floor and it was very loud which disturbed the meeting. Other than that it was a comfortable stay.

Staff was very nice, takeaway breakfast was perfect as we left very early in the morning. Bed was comfortable and room had enough space.

The swimming pool was in the shade and the check if the location is near to your planed activity as not too many restaurants in the area.

L’hôtel est magnifique et le personnel est au petit soin. Il y a 3 restaurants : international, chinois et Japonais + une piscine, une salle de sport, un rofftop superbe, de quoi faire des soins/massage et une photo est offerte par chambre. Les chambres sont spacieuses, tout est mis à disposition et le lit est vraiment très confortable.

L’hôtel est vraiment mal situé sur une route hyper passante et dangereuse, la circulation est intense et il n’y a vraiment rien pour manger à proximité (à pied) : obligé de manger à l’hôtel où le prix est plus élevé. La climatisation est beaucoup trop forte déjà au restaurant mais surtout lorsque l’on sort des ascenseurs et au rofftop. Sinon vraiment tout est parfait.

Ik had een standaardkamer, maar die was al zeer ruim. Degelijk bed, grote zetel, apart tafeltje, voldoende kasten, ... Zwembad al om 19u gesloten.

Toilet in badkamer. Gigantisch aziatisch ontbijt, maar daar hou ik helaas niet van. 't Brood was niet super (maar daarvoor moet je uiteraard niet naar Azië gaan :-) )

The overall experiences that shows a consistency over the quality. They upgrade our room with no extra chargee, the fast respond staff and the vouchers given are quite a good way to leave a good impression to us. Not my first stay thou, but never put me in disapointment

We stayed at Grand Mercure Malang Mirama for our honeymoon for 3 nights and 4 days, and honestly, it was one of the best hotel experiences we’ve ever had. My wife absolutely loved everything about this hotel, and so did I. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was exceptional. We were welcomed by Wike from the front office, and she truly made our stay extra special. She was always smiling, respectful, kind, and very helpful throughout our stay. She even offered us free activities and vouchers, which was such a nice touch. The biggest surprise was that we got upgraded to the Executive Suite, the highest room category in the hotel. Huge thanks to Wike for making our honeymoon unforgettable! The room itself was unbelievable. Beautiful views, a huge living room, separate bedroom, and an amazing bathroom with a bathtub overlooking the view. Everything felt luxurious and very comfortable. Since it was our honeymoon, the room was also beautifully decorated and we were welcomed with a fruit basket, which made us feel really special. Breakfast was another highlight. The variety was insane so many options that we honestly didn’t know what to choose. Everything we tried was delicious. One thing that really stood out was the staff. I’ve traveled quite a lot, but the service here felt different. Every single staff member we met smiled, greeted us warmly, checked if everything was okay, and helped immediately whenever needed. You can really feel the genuine hospitality here. We also received a complimentary photoshoot from the hotel, which was such a lovely experience. The photographer was great, and we even got a printed photo in a frame to take home as a memory. The only disappointing part during our stay was the Teppanyaki experience at the Japanese restaurant. Unfortunately, it did not meet our expectations at all. The chef only cooked in front of us without any interaction or entertainment, and when I tried making conversation, she seemed annoyed. Considering how expensive it was, it honestly felt very underwhelming. I personally wouldn’t recommend the Teppanyaki experience there. Other than that, everything was truly amazing. Even though I don’t remember everyone’s names, thank you to every single staff member who made our honeymoon so memorable. We absolutely loved our stay and will definitely come back again. And once again, special thanks to Wike you are a star ⭐

The breakfast menu at the restaurant was also outstanding, offering a wide variety of delicious options. This was our second time staying at Grand Mercure Malang Mirama, and once again, they never failed to amaze us. After having to cancel a trip elsewhere, we decided on a local staycation, and the team truly went above and beyond to make it special. We were so grateful that they honored my membership tier with a room upgrade and late check-out. But what truly stood out were the personal touches, they fulfilled our special requests with beautiful notes for my wife’s birthday and a '16th Month' celebration for our son. Thank you for making our family feel so welcome again! We’ll definitely be back for a third visit!

The hotel is glamorous and very clean with wonderful , helpful staff. The first impressions were very good! The facilities are good. There is a pool but mostly felt for children and young families ( which is fine). There are lots of activities for children and young families which is good. There is a pretty- alright gym to use. The bedding and towels were clean and there was a good tv and WiFi. The location is not bad at all but we feel a lot of tourists / travellers come here for Mount Bromo so less about the area around the hotel- which seems to have less going on. The breakfast is really broad, varied and generous. The egg offerings and fried tempe are delicious! You really can eat as much or as little as you want. The same restaurant that does the breakfast does a lovely chicken soup with very sweet staff. We found some of the other restaurants a little disappointing sorry. We felt very comfortable here. We particularly liked the room

For starters, during the 6 months before the stay when i booked this hotel, i received 6 spam whatsapp messages linked to this hotel with personal information that most likely came from their system (or booking.com, but i have never had that before), stating that i needed to verify my creditcard. It looks like something is really off here. About the "stay": I notified this hotel well in advance that during my stay in Indonesia, i got sick. I let them know 6 days in advance, that i was not able to make the hotel reservation. They ignored me at first. Then they stated that they could not do anything about it (they can, they are just not willing to). They said: Regarding your request, kindly note that your reservation was made under a non-flexible (non-refundable) rate. Therefore, in accordance with the terms and conditions applied to this booking, unfortunately the reservation is not eligible for cancellation, rescheduling, or refund. We truly appreciate your understanding in this matter and sincerely hope to have the opportunity to welcome you to our hotel on a future occasion once your condition has improved. Should you require any further assistance or clarification, please do not hesitate to contact us. I did ask for further clarification but they just keep repeating the same. They want to make it appear they are friendly, but they just want money. They have no other option to book it flexible, so there isn't much room here. They made no attempt to help the guest whatsoever. No refund, no change in dates, no partial, nothing. Be very carefull to book at this hotel.
