Just the location during high traffic it's a nightmare

We have been choosing Citadine more than once for our Penang visits as a family and its been delivering the same quality everytime. We hope it will maintain its quality and offer my family and friends a good stay along with some discounts as frequent customers.

Room is spacious and bed is comfy.

The breakfast selection is really bad, not much option even simple sausage or ham are not available. The breakfast setup is not up to hotel standard. The bread session is real bad, only one type of white bread is available, the peanut butter or jam are open with spread, not those cube sealed type. It is not hygienic and look disgusting after guest using it. The worst part was there is a lizard in the bedroom and crawling on the floor. The staff is not friendly and work like robot.

The room was amazing.

The breakfast buffet had limited option and lacked variety.

Breakfast, food were salty, I stayed 4 days this time, I did complain food is salty, but ignored, I give them customer feed back, the next day the food become more salty, so not worth to take Breakfast. Not worth for money, The coffee dispenser, not hot enough and the quantity good for one or sip only. The food was too economical and no taste. Not worth for money, Hotel can do better than this.

Overall is nice experience in this hospitality.. Recommended and will repeat again if there's chance

Great hotel & location. The room is clean with basic facilities. Basic local food served as buffet breakfast. Staff is very welcoming and attentive. Special thanks to Siva at the reception counter.

One minus point is the bathroom towel. Its shaby and torn at the edge.

The location with easy access to Bukit Mertajam town center for local food and also to other destination which is close to the highway. The 2 room-apartment that we stayed comes with washing machine makes you feel like home. The pool is located at level 39 with panoramic view, the pool is open from 6am-10pm. we swam everyday throughout our 2 night-stay.

Difficult to find breakfast within walking distance.

The staff there were very helpful especially Manager Syafiq , who was extremely friendly, welcoming, and always willing to assist . Excelent service and great experience overall. Highly recommended !!

Please improve your room cleanliness. Upon check in, found left over rubbish from previous guests not been cleared. Shower area moldy. Internet had issues, after multiple time assistant from FO, than only able to connect. The bedroom slippers had a yellowish stain.

The room is spacious and clean. The separate living and kitchen area was a great advantage for receiving family and friends' visiting us for chit chat during our stay. The infinity pool located at the roof top is good too. Great location with lots of restaurants in the vicinity. However quality of breakfast has room for improvement. We plan to stay at Citadines Perai again for our next visit to Penang.

Very nice, cozy n homey for family of 4...I booked for 1 night but changed mind to continue our stay for another 2 nights... The free coffee was so well brewed n very good compared to few famous coffee shop... 😁

Just please give the bottled drink water in the room because we must go out n fill our water from the water dispenser... Little bit outdated services...

Just two elevators, waiting time too long sometimes

Lovely property, very clean, felt like a new apartment, views are amazing, has separate lounge and bedroom, kitchen area, has everything you need. Swimming pool is beautiful looking over the city.

The breakfast buffet needed more selection, more variety for all taste buds, The buffet area was lacking in seating it had lots of couches which could be changed to table & chairs so there would be less queuing and waiting for a table.

1)Checkin is very slow and should be improved. I had already pre-checked in but I was forced to wait 15 minutes in the queue with just only 1 other guest ahead of me in the queue. 2)The long wait for the lift. The building has 39 floors but only has 2 lifts operating. 3)Instructions on where to park was not provided earlier to guests before arrival.

We can utilise part of the breakfast room for the small discussion during off peak.

Breakfast was insufficient during my stay. My room was not included breakfast but I wanted to walked in and pay for it. But it was too crowd and not much of the choices was left.

Nice location. There’s a lot shops and cafe nearby. The room is so spacious and clean and smell so good. The facilities is so excellent including the parking. Definitely will repeat again because worth the money and i like two bedrooms in one unit for my family .

The staff not really friendly and informative especially when i check in . I had to ask all the basic things like where the pool where the gym and restaurant for breakfast. Had to improve it.

The breakfast variety was ok but could be improved. The rooftop pool was nice, though accessing it required climbing one floor up.

I really enjoyed staying at Citadines Prai Penang. The bed was very comfortable and the room was spacious, modern, and clean. The bathroom was also very clean and well-equipped with plenty of soap and shampoo. I would also like to compliment the excellent management and friendly staff. They kindly allowed us to check out at 2 PM without any extra charges because I needed to wait for my son, who was visiting his friend and could not return to the hotel by 12 PM. In addition, my son accidentally broke the sink handle, but the hotel management handled the situation very professionally and did not charge us. We truly appreciated their kindness and understanding.

The only thing I did not like was that the hotel did not provide large-sized towels.

Why do customers still have to scan and go to the hotel website to key in their details? As I am a Malaysian and have provided the identification card, it should be sufficient; this applies to foreigners with passports too. Is the hotel cutting staff and asking the customer to do it themselves? The hotel can call it whatever they want to, like 'safe water' or 'no-touch IT verification'. It is just a gimmick to cut costs. If the hotel continues to do this, it might as well turn your hotel into a budget hotel.
