Unfortunately the hotel didn't get my email about one guest being gluten intolerant so the included continental breakfast was a bit sparse with no gluten free bread or pastries available. Also took a while for someone to appear to check us in.

海が目の前でロケーションは抜群でした。また、何も言わずにシービューの部屋にアップグレードしてくれてとてもうれしかったです。快適にすごせました。朝食を提供してくれるのは特に子連れでの旅行で１日をスムーズにスタートさせることが出来るので本当に助かります。内容はシンプルですが十分です。素朴であたたかみのあるよい宿だと思います。

部屋のメインの照明がつかなかったので、夜はベッドサイドスタンドだけですごしました（メンテナンスの人は夜に点検することがないでしょうから気づくのが難しいかもしれません）。タオルがちょっと古いかなと思いました。扇風機がホコリだらけだったので使うのに躊躇しました。

Zimmer war sehr hellhörig, Frühstück musste man sich selbst aus dem Kühlschrank usw. nehmen und war sehr übersichtlich.

The property was in a great location. I wanted to see Seven Sisters and the trail head was very close. The room was clean, had water available with incredible views of the ocean. Michael at the front desk made the trip even better. He had amazing food recommendations and always greeted me with kindness.

Excellent location at the seafront. About 10 mins walk to the city centre, little more to reach the Pier. Free parking approx. 150m away from the hotel, receptionist kindly pointed me the right way. Stuff was very helpful, polite and pleasant. Thank you :-)

As most hotels in coastal towns do, it does look little dated in places, it is an old building after all. Soundproofing also isnt great, but that is to be expected in these old houses. Generally all worked as it supposed to.

Un personnel accueillant - une excellente situation : un peu en retrait de l'hyper centre et du bruit mais à deux pas de tout, entre le coeur de Eastbourne et le chemin du South Downs Way, le bord de mer de l'autre côté de l'avenue. Le petit-déjeuner vaut vraiment le coup : très bon rapport qualité/prix. Beaucoup d'hôtels font payer bien plus cher pour la même offre.

I paid £117 and although the location was good, the staff friendly, and the room looked smart, the bathroom was really old-fashioned.

Just a bath tub with a shower hose attachment. No shower screen so you had to sit in the tub and rinse yourself carefully so as not to spray water all over the floor.

Für uns als fünfköpfige Familie war das Halcyon ideal. Wir hatten ein großes, herrliches Familienzimmer mit zwei großen Betten, einem Bad und einer atemberaubenden Aussicht auf das Meer. Das Zimmer sah aus wie auf dem Foto. Unser Sohn hat ein Einzelzimmer neben uns bewohnt. Die Betten waren sehr bequem. Das Hotel besticht durch seinen Charme und seine sehr freundlichen Mitarbeiter. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Frühstück war für uns als Familie völlig in Ordnung, jeder hat etwas gefunden und dafür zu einem sehr fairen Preis. Uns hat auch gefallen, dass das Hotel eher ein bisschen am Rand der Promenade liegt und es daher sehr ruhig ist. Trotzdem ist alles fußläufig erreichbar.

Es gibt wenig, was zu beanstanden ist. Der Netzempfang im Zimmer war bei uns nicht so gut, das WLAN hat aber einwandfrei funktioniert. Die Betten hätten vielleicht eine Nummer breiter sein können.

Lovely Continental breakfast for all tastes. Welcoming and helpful staff. Room was lovely, clean, comfortable and modern with all amenities (and larger than expected for a single) with a wide opening window and wonderful sea view. Booked 2 nights, but plenty of storage if needed a longer stay. Wi-Fi code clearly typed out in room. Quieter beaches in the area and less crowded on promenade walk. Easy parking. Ideally situated for walking to Beachy Head and beyond.

Rude staff no one was there when checking in got there at the right time 15:00 for check In time no staff rang the bell still no staff phoned up some guy answered very rude on the phone saying he been there since 14:45 clearly not as he wasn’t there when we went to check in also I ask if there was a bar or restaurant on site and to his reply in a very rude tone there’s one across the street I would not recommended this place to any one it’s well over priced didn’t end up staying there in the end stayed at the grand hotel who’s staff was very professional.

Zeer aardige en behulpzame mensen. Omdat we naar het ziekenhuis moesten, hebben ze ons goed geholpen. De bedden waren heerlijk comfortabel! Het ontbijt was selfservice, prima. Je kon scrambled eggs vragen, alles prima. Verder uitstekende basis om vanuit te gaan wandelen!

The location was great—just outside the busy town centre with easy access to the quieter part of the beach. The staff were genuinely friendly and gave great recommendations for restaurants and places to visit. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable.

The single room was very small, really more of a shoebox. The bathroom was equally tiny, with a very small sink and hardly any space to put toiletries, which made it a bit impractical. There was a fan in the room (which was much appreciated), but no fridge or hairdryer. I had specifically booked a sea view room, but the window was extremely small - more like half a window - and unfortunately it was quite dirty. I wouldn't have minded the small window quite as much if it had at least been clean enough to properly enjoy the view. I realise prices were probably inflated because of the Eastbourne Open, but overall I felt it was a little overpriced for what was offered.

The hotel was very helpful at storing my luggage and let me use the freezer for ice packs.

I have stayed before, I was very unhappy with my room this year. I paid £100 for a tiny single room (room 17), with sea view. I couldn’t see anything of the view due to a chest of drawers, a much needed fan and bird poo! The shower was so small it was a challenge to get in and close the inward closing door. Sadly I will be looking for an alternative for my annual trip.

The churl on reception who couldn’t accept a straight apology for unavoidably late arrival. The loud rattling bedroom door and tired interior.

Perfect location to stretch legs after finishing the South Downs Path. Right on the beach and within walking distance to the town's shops. The owners were friendly and provided everything I needed.

I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel & would love to go back for another stay. The place was very clean & the staff very friendly. I also liked the room which gave me a beautiful view of the sea. I would recommend it to my friends and family.

I found my room wide open when l got back from town which was really scary and l was scared that night but nothing was missing. I reported to the receptionist who said he was going to inform the manager but l didn't hear from anyone until l left. I am not sure what happened there but apart from that everything was fine .

酒店位置非常好，直面大海，又不在最热闹的区域，步行几分钟就有很多吃饭的地方。老板特别热情，临别时我留下了一些茶叶，老板还转赠了我很珍贵的礼品。早餐也吃的非常舒服，老板娘平易近人，非常友善。总之一定会带着家人再来这里的！

Staff quite accommodating but perhaps could have been more helpful about accessing the small bottles of water that they provided because it was during the heatwave.

Close to the beach. Sea view. The old gentleman at the reception was really nice and friendly!

Not clean. Bathroom had mould in everywhere in the shower even on the shower head, tiles and bathroom door. Toilet seat was dirty. Window was full of bird poo which was not cleaned. The carpets outside smelled really bad. And so did the bedding. Fan stopped working after running for a while.
