The Pilot Inn

Nos encantó este pub, con una terraza fuera estupenda. El dormitorio y el baño reformado muy nuevo. Cenamos muy bien y el ambiente en el pub era estupendo. A los pies de Beachy Head e ideal para bajar al paseo maritimo.

This is our fourth stay at The Pilot. It never disappoints. We asked to park on site a few hours before check-in, which was really helpful. It is ideally located for exploring Eastbourne and the beautiful Sussex Downs. Our room was exceptionally clean and very comfortable, especially the bed, which was much appreciated after our long walks. The food is very good, service excellent and it was lovely to hear the laughter among staff during a busy weekend. It is clearly very popular with locals, which is always a good sign.

We were in room 3 and we could hear a noise like a fan droning all night, it switched on and off every 5/10 minutes. We mentioned it to the staff when we checked out. We have stayed before in this same room a couple of years ago and there definitely wasn’t a noise then.

What a great place. A warm and welcoming pub with great decor and ambience. The room was modern, tastefully decorated and well appointed. We had dinner here too, which was really good. We were greeted and looked after by Rhiannon, who was professional, friendly and efficient

I was worried about parking but if get there early - free safe parking - very good. The room was very clean , nice decor, very good tea / coffee making facility and had a fridge to keep water cold - had to go up the stairs so not suitable for people with mobility issues. Excellent shower

Everything , a real gem of a place . The staff were attentive, professional and lovely . The room was clean, immaculate and perfect for our stay. The food was very good. Location was excellent. We cannot fault it.

Sfeervolle kamer en een super locatie op loopafstand van prachtige kliffen. Parkeren was eenvoudig. Het ontbijt was niet inclusief, maar wel erg smakelijk en genoeg keuze. Voor ons de perfecte eerste tussenstop locatie in Zuid-Engeland.

De koelkast was niet koud, dus onbruikbaar. En het dekbed was te warm voor het weer, dus de nacht was onnodig warm mijns inziens.

Friendliness of staff!! The decor, seating layout, lots of natural light.

I didn't like the flies around eating, on both days. Even at night, near closing. Ventilation in the restaurant seating area becomes rather stuffy and overly warm. My mate got a lot more pork bites than me, the food quality and portions sizes vary quite dramatically. Thursday's supper was splendid, Friday 3pm meal was a disappointment and questions were asked, (why do we eat there all the time). It is in a good location.. Also what I do not like is, when tipping on the final bill, ie 25% it doesn't show on the printed bill. So when you get a bank alert on your phone, the added tip isn't included, and you begin freaking out that you've been scammed somehow..

An exceptional inn , in beautiful surroundings. The food and service was excellent. The room was amazing and clean with a very comfortable, big bed.

That we couldn't stay longer.

Hotel and staff were lovely, and lovely beer garden. Area is nice with a nice beach promenade and some lovely restaurants (shout out to The Good Grub, very tasty), and great access to Beachy Head and Seven Sisters hikes.

Heating was on when we arrived (was 25 degrees outside) and bathroom/toilet door was saloon style so was open to the room.

Хороший, аутентичный паб и отель. Видно, что вложили душу. Мы пропустили информацию о заселении до 20.00, но нам пошли на встречу и заселили до 23.00🥰, спасибо огромное! Номер чистый, прекрасный, с хорошей большой кроватью. Завтрак был чудесный. Вечером приятно посидеть, выпить пива, очень классный персонал!

Öncelikle samimi ve yardımsever bir ekip, kendinizi rahat hissettiriyor. Yemekleri oldukça lezzetliydi.

the staff and the room was exceptional. it was a very nice place to spend an evening both drinking and eating prior to moving on

Have the auto light switch explained before moving into the room and check the bulbs and fittings prior to occupying.

Our second time at the Pilot Inn and another great stay. Comfortable bed, super bathroom and everything spotlessly clean. The staff are very friendly and attentive. Great bar and garden, had a lovely al fresco lunch on a beautiful sunny day. Perfect location, away from hustle and bustle but walking distance to Eastbourne's beach and attractions. Look forward to our next stay.

We particularly liked the staff , Amber was so helpful and the other Manager with short blonde hair sorry forgotten her name.. The room was exactly as advertised and was lovely.except we had problem with heating, however, they did do everything they could to sort it which they did.. Lovely atmosphere and lovely Inn very clean.9

Location was a bit far from Centre as we were attending the Tennis Open.

Lovely inn on the edge of Eastbourne. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Perfect for those looking for a place to walk the Seven Sisters.

Breakfast has to be ordered day before. Fully understandable but when sampling some of the great beers on offer, one can forget!

Excellent location and a nice pub. Had lunch there which was very good. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room quite small but well equipped and adequate. Lovely modern big bathroom.

Breakfast was nice but not excellent. Coffee was very weak and orange juice was not the nicest. Thought it was on the expensive side and wouldn’t have if stayed again.

De relaxte sfeer, de uiterst vriendelijke mensen. Alles keurig verzorgd en schoon.

Es gab einen Parkplatz hinter dem Pub. Das Bett im Supwrior Zimmer war schön gross.

Einrichtung kunterbunt zusammengewürfelt, absoluter Stilbruch. Als wir ankamen hat das ganze Zimmer nach altem Frittenfett gestunken. Im Bad hat sich der Gestank bis zum nächsten Morgen gehalten. Die Pommes im Pub haben ebrnfalls nahh altem Fett geschmeckt.

Wygodna lokalizacja, niby na uboczu ale jednak w centrum. Dziewczyna ktora robila nam zameldowanie i wymeldowanie byla tak mega fajnie pozytywna ze czlowiek odrazu uśmiechał się od ucha fo ucha . Pokoj mega wygodny z wieloma udogodnieniami, czajnik, ekspres do kawy, lodowka, kilka wiatraków gdyby było ciepło ale gdyby było zimno to jest nagrzewnica, standardowo zestaw do prasowania czy telewizor. Parking zaraz pod pubem oddzielne wejście. Bardzo ładny stan pokoju i duża przestronna łazienka.

Popracowałabym tylko trochę nad naprawą wcześniejszych usterek po poprzednich gościach.

Locatie vlak bij Seven Sisters Leuke pub met tuin. Rustige kamers.

The place was one of the best ive stayed in. My only bit of feedback (although they did accommodate) was that online it states dog friendly, which it 100% is in the bar. But we also assumed this for the room as this was an option we selected. Unfortunately they only allow service dogs in the rooms. This just needs to be obvious for when booking.

The room was good value for money, and the pub and restaurant was cosy, comfortable, and very good menu. The location was perfect, and free parking too.

The pillows were lumpy, and breakfast menu was a set price, no matter your choice.

The staff went over and beyond to accommodate us. We had a very late arrival at 11 pm but the staff made sure they were waiting for us and even called my phone to check on us around 10:30 pm. The decor was beyond my expectations. I loved this cute inn!! I highly recommend this charming Inn

It is located close to Eastbourne and was very clean and of a high standrda. They kindly fitted us in for dinner when we had not thought to pre book, even though it was a Friday evening

There was nothing we didn't like.

Everything, place is gorgeous, food amazing and it’s so quiet and comfortable. From our room, we had a view on the sea.

It was Easter Day and unfortunately we did not have a chance to have dinner there. Kitchen closed at 5:30 pm on Sunday.

Location excellent for our planned visit, with free parking on site. The Pilot Inn exceeded every expectation. Our room, whilst not large, was spotlessly clean, very well designed and with excellent quality furniture and fittings. The public rooms of the pub were equally good - it has been beautifully furnished and decorated with great skill and considerable investment. Staff were very pleasant and efficient and we also met the owners who made us very welcome and clearly have put a huge amount of thought. care and effort into the pub. The food (breakfast and evening meal) was excellent. One of the best places we have ever stayed - and hope to return.

Unfortunately the hot water wasn't hot enough in shower and bath, but we did get informed by staff this is something that is being worked on. Also as nice as the breakfast was it wasn't worth £15 extra price, maybe £10 at most.

Lovely comfortable pub. The accommodation is lovely. The staff are friendly and welcoming. There is a small car park, so during busy times it maybe a problem to park. There are parking bays nearby.

Slightly out of town
