Noise early in the morning when the staff arrived - their place for keeping their stuff was just behind our unit. They talked very loudly.

It was very cold but there was an extra blanket.

The fish was extremely not good vey rubbery. No hot water , had a cold shower because I had to go to a meeting. Value for money was not worth my stay

The fact that you can't walk there from the airport...after all it is supposed to be an airport sleepover.. The water does not drain from the shower or basin....not so nice

Disappointing though as the rooms are really just cold metal boxes, minimal in every way from towels to lighting. A side lamp would have helped, rather than the very bright overhead lights that highlight the feeling of being in a box.

Reviewed Mar 23, 2026Overall this hotel is convenient because it is within walking distance to Lanseria airport. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I didn't eat here so I can't comment on their food but they do have a decent looking menu.
I was woken up at 2am and 3am with very noisy guests arriving back but I suppose the hotel can't really control this. They need to work on getting a short cut between the airport and the hotel which will make the walk much shorter. At the moment it is a 10 minute walk to the airport. Everything about the room is just OK, nothing fancy but adequate for a short stay for a short Jo'burg visit when you just need to fly out of Lanseria.

It's very expensive for what it is and there's no working door bell at the gate, you have to call a number. This isn't very helpful for international travellers who may not have a sim card or airtime to call that number. Please get a working doorbell.

Reviewed Jan 15, 2026Overall, our stay was majestic and exceeded what I was expecting. Easy to get to and stuff treated us with respect, and they were very helpful. Food served was delicious and we did not wait for too long to get it.
It was our first time visiting the place but there is nothing untoward that I can write about. The place is clean and tidy.

- Bed is not comfortable at all - Place was stuffy - the chalet isn't balanced it's in a reclined position, when you enter the shower you slide down (hazard, easy to slip and fall in that shower) - there is no microwave (though there is a place for it.. Maybe will be installed in the future) - Please read under facilities before booking, there is no TV.

The mattress in unit 16 was terrible and the unit had a mouldy smell. Unit 17 was good. It is overall a bit pricy, i think. The staff was very friendly!
