Onze toilet was kapot en werd niet gerepareerd. Uiteindelijk na een poging, conclusie dat ze hem niet konden maken. Dus verblijf met niet werkende toilet. En straat was niet prettig, donker met veel afval

The rooms were super nice, the garden is beautiful, everything was very clean and the staff was very attentive and friendly. I would have left a bad review about the breakfast because it was nearly abandoned on the first morning of my stay. But on the following days the presence of a new member of the staff (if I recall correctly his name is Mateo) really turned things around and everything was organised and clean and even more options available.

I think the bad things for me were mostly because I was traveling with a small child. Is much more convenient for me to have everything in one place: entertainment, food and overall room service. There’s no food other than breakfast and no laundry service and is kind of far from the lagoon where most of the entertainment is. This hotel is a nice stay for people who are planning on spending most of their time out and want to return to a nice cozy room at the end of the day. This was not my case. Probably more my fault for not choosing carefully, but I hope my review will help other people in the same situation

Leuk hotel, kamers rondom bar en zwembad. Ruime gezinskamer met 2 slaapkamers en 2 badkamers. Zeer rustig, op 10 min van centraal plein. Ontbijt was buffet, zeer vriendelijke bediening.

En el baño de las habitaciones no hay tanta ventilación y el olor de la coladera se percibe sobre todo por las tardes cuando hace más calor.

Unser Aufenthalt im Hotel Circulo in Bacalar war sehr angenehm, und wir würden jederzeit wieder dort übernachten. Der Check-in war auch spät abends problemlos möglich, und die Kommunikation mit dem Hotel war durchgehend sehr gut. Das Zimmer war sehr gross, und wir haben uns sofort wohlgefühlt. Auch das Bett war sehr gross und bequem, wir haben immer sehr gut geschlafen. Das Hotel sowie die Zimmer waren sehr sauber. Die Zimmer wurden täglich gereinigt und die Tücher regelmässig gewechselt. Das Badezimmer war ebenfalls sehr gross und modern gestaltet. Besonders gefallen hat uns die Dusche aus Naturstein sowie die grosse Ablagefläche beim Lavabo. Ein Highlight war das Frühstück. Es war sehr gut und vielfältig mit Rührei, Spiegeleiern, Pancakes, Toast und frischen Früchten. Man wird definitiv satt und es bleiben keine Wünsche offen. Insgesamt ist die Hotelanlage sehr schön gestaltet, mit viel Grün und einem tollen Pool. Sehr praktisch war auch, dass das Hotel Fahrräder zur Verfügung stellt, mit denen man Bacalar gut erkunden kann. Die Lage ist leicht ausserhalb des Zentrums, in wenigen Minuten ist man jedoch in der Stadt. Für uns war das ideal, da es sehr ruhig war.

Im Zimmer war ein leicht muffiger Geruch wahrnehmbar. Wir waren uns nicht sicher, ob es eventuell Schimmel hatte, gehen jedoch davon aus, dass dieses Problem in der gesamten Region besteht, da in Bacalar eine sehr hohe Luftfeuchtigkeit herrscht. Ein weiterer Minuspunkt war die Balkontür. Man konnte sie zwar zuschieben, jedoch war der Riegel zum Verriegeln kaputt, sodass man die Tür von aussen wieder öffnen konnte. Das war nicht ideal. Glücklicherweise haben wir uns im Hotel sicher gefühlt, weshalb es für uns in Ordnung war, in diesem Zimmer zu bleiben. Zudem fehlte eine Ablagefläche für unsere Koffer bzw. ein geeigneter Platz, um die Kleidung auszupacken.

The hotel was very clean. The pool was as pictured and great; the garden around the pool was beautiful. The hotel was within walking distance of the main plaza. The staff were helpful in booking tours for us.

Nothing this hotel could help, but the dogs in the neighborhood could sometimes bark a lot at night.

The staff was very helpful & friendly. Mateo was so very kind and attentive.Breakfast was great.

Sehr schöne Anlage mit tollem Pool, der bis 11 Uhr abends genutzt werden darf. Gute Cocktails an der Bar. Schneller Laundryservice.

Leider hat in der ersten Nacht nahezu durchgehend ein Hund auf dem Nachbargrundstück gebellt. Der wiederum hat die Hähne geweckt, die dann gekräht haben. Wir haben kein Auge zugemacht. Es wurden Oropax angeboten, aber das ha nicht geholfen. In der zweiten Nacht haben nur die Hähne gekräht. Die Polster auf der Terrasse sind schon sehr veraltet. Generell ist die Anlage schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Hier und da blättert im Außenbereich der Putz ab. Das Frühstück ist einfach aber ok.

The pool was nice when it wasn't surrounded by American doomscrollers and the shower was good.

The food wasn't great for us (we specified vegan before our stay), the noise wasn't great from the other guests, the bed was really uncomfortable, the air con was so noisy but without it, the room was boiling. Not worth how much it costs

Onze kamer had een bovenverblijf waar je kon lezen, rusten maar dit maakte dat het in de leefruimte verschrikkelijk warm werd. In de slaapkamer was er airco maar de leefruimte was niet te betreden

Very cute, low key hotel. Lovely small but welcome pool and small bar with friendly staff. It was short walk to the town and in a quiet location. The room was attractive and spacious and really comfortable. The boat trip we booked through the hotel was great. And also 3.30am transfer to Cancun. All good.

The breakfast was a little too basic/disappointing. Also we chose the hotel because there was option to get some food on site, but kitchen was closed outside of breakfast. Maybe chef was on holiday? That said, empanada shop on street corner filled an empty hole & I would still recommend the hotel.

The hotel is easily accessible, walking distance to everything. It has a nice vibe, the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The pool is great for relaxing after a day exploring the lagoon. Despite the bad reviews, I found the breakfast decent with options for kids and adults.

Beds are comfortable, only comment was that one of the rooms we booked was of a slightly lower tariff and it didn’t include a bed comforter, just a thin sheet. We thought it was a mistake but it was clarified that is was because of the tariff. This was not clear in the booking description.

Hotel moderna, stanza grande e confortevole, pulizia impeccabile. Staff molto gentile e sempre pronto ad aiutare per ogni necessità. Al centro di Bacalar e vicinissimo alla Laguna. Colazione buona e varia. Consiglio di prendere i tour che offrono in reception, sono ottimi per scoprire la laguna per chi ha poco tempo. Ci sono delle bici in dotazione, un ottimo mezzo per scoprire la laguna.

Bungalow was simply amazing. It was huge, impressive and we were just amazed. Two bedrooms, big living room, 2 bathrooms. Super spacious, clean and had just unique atmosphere.

Breakfast was super poor. There was either scrambled eggs and potatoes/ rice, waffles / pancakes, toasts and some fruit. Almost like in US. Everyday we also had jogurth and granola. That’s it. No veggies or differenciates. I would recommend to change it for the future. If I knew that, I would have never book with breakfast included, especially in the city there is plenty of amazing restaurants. But in general vibe and place is worth seeing.

Rustig en kleinschalig hotel vlakbij het levendige centrum van Bacaral, met leuke pool (en bar), eenvoudig ontbijt-buffet, uiterst behulpzaam personeel … alles-behalve een resort-vibe! Goede uitvalsbasis voor uitstappen (naar het meer, tempels, …): alle taxi-verplaatsingen kosten 150MXN!

We had a really great time there and would recommend it and stay there again. The staff went beyond anything and helped us for parking, recommendations, cleaning, and even a few issues where we locked our self out of our room a few times, they took care of it all.

Nothing really to compliant about. I only wish the breakfast had more options but no other complaints.

Supervriendelijk personeel, de jongen bij de receptie heeft ons hartelijk ontvangen bij aankomst en stond altijd voor ons klaar. Mooi hotel, sfeervol, kleinschalig, lekker zwembad. Het meer en centrum is op loopafstand.

Eigenlijk niks!

Het zwembad was heerlijk, hele mooie binnentuin met een lekkere vibe! Echt top! Locatie was 10 min van Bacalar centrum. En ons huisje was zoo mooi!

Je kon geen snacks of diner bestellen er was alleen ontbijt wat oké was maar weinig aanbod. Personeel achter de bar was onwetend, we bestelde een Gin tonic maar kregen een spa rood met gin.

Très bel hôtel avec un personnel très sympathique. Luis qui parle français nous a très bien accueilli. Les chambres sont spacieuses ont le confort requis et sont propres. La piscine est très agréable avec une petite grotte et une belle végétation autour.

Het zwembad was heerlijk, ‘s middags een drankje erbij en ‘s morgens vers ontbijt.

Het voelde gedateerd aan en kon wel wat onderhoud gebruiken. Daarnaast kwamen we wat onhygiënische plekken tegen zoals schimmel in de douche en een vieze vloer bij de badkamer schuifdeur.

Très bien placé à Bacalar et Très calme (à part certains clients avec enfants irrespectueux vu la taille de l'espace piscine). Bungalows tres spacieux et très confortables. Parfait !

Das Hotel ist sehr schön angelegt, die Zimmer sind sehr schön und sauber, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Frühstück ist zwar übersichtlich aber sehr lecker und die Pool Area ist schön und sehr gepflegt. Wir würden das Hotel immer weiter empfehlen !

Es gibt nicht genug Parkplätze im Hof.

Location is good - short walk to the centre of town and the lagoon, but also quiet at night so we could sleep well. The staff were absolutely lovely and so helpful, especially Luis on the front desk.

Only thing was we were asked to wait while our room was checked at the end of our stay - not a problem except we needed to leave quickly to catch our bus! So just giving more warning about this would be handy :)

If you don’t need a lot of luxe, but appreciate beautiful, creative design and friendly and competent staff, this hotel is for you. Just amazing the use of space and the thought that went into every detail of the layout. We applaud the architect. Yet it’s simple…. No “extras” like hairdryers, irons… but you can borrow from the desk.

Luis nous a super bien accueilli, et en francais, un vrai plus. Après l'installation, il propose de créer un whattapp pour mieux repondre a nos questions, besoins .... Luis nous a réservé notre formidable sortie en catamaran, conseillé d'excellents restau, une perle. L'hotel est bien situé à 2 pas de la place principale, calme avec 1 parking privé. Les chambres sont grandes avec télé, clim et mini frigo bien pratique. La douche a une pression correcte, rare au mexique. La piscine est de taille correcte et au calme. Le ti dej est servi de 8h à 11h, voir 12h, n'est pas gigantesque mais de quoi satisfaire tous les goûts. Mattéo est au petit soin pour que votre journée commence bien et douce. Une fontaine a eau est dispo au niveau du bar, et gratuite.

La largeur des lits (140cm), juste pour 2 adultes, ca ne se voit quasiment plus. Le manque de transat à la piscine, 3 seulement et quelques fauteuils. Le droit de fumer autour de la piscine.

Beautiful place, the pool area is lovely to chill after a long day at the lagoon. Room was perfect and beds comfortable. Special thanks to Luis, helped us book a lovely trip on the lagoon, always there to help us out if we needed anything! He gave us the best tip for dinner, we had a lovely time! Also thanks to Carlos! Recommend coming here if you want to stay in Bacalar.

Great family rooms, perfect for that together feeling. Close walk to everything

Het hotel is superleuk opgebouwd met verschillende kleine gebouwtjes. Wij sliepen in een condo met patio voor het zwembad, dus we hadden lekker veel ruimte! De bedden zijn erg goed. Het huisje zelf is erg mooi en best insectenvrij. Het personeel is supervriendelijk en erg goed. Het ontbijt is ook erg lekker. We vonden het chill dat het hotel niet in het centrum direct ligt. Zo kun je nog wat meer van de inwoners van Bacalar zien. Het voelde iets authentieker daardoor. We hebben 's avonds nog een paar keer in het zwembad gezwommen en lekker een biertje gedronken. Top hotel!

Fantastic hotel, clean, quiet, great facilities. Every member of staff we came across was genuinely so kind and accommodating. The extra-large bed was amazing, best nights of sleep in a long time. Great location, about 10 mins walk from the centre, 15 mins from the lagoon.

Not a deal-breaker at all but I don’t recommend the breakfast as there isn’t much to eat and it is quite expensive.

Parking was super tight, was looking forward to breakfast but it was kinda awkward when we went out there, couldn't tell if it was a sit down kinda thing or a very very small buffet type... we ended up going somewhere else.

La piscine, l’emplacement et le calme

Chambre plus petite que la terrasse, petit déjeuner très limité avec peu de choix et jus de fruits peu nombreux coupés à l’eau (pas de boisson chaude hormis du café), pas assez de transats à la piscine ni assez de place de parking pour garer les voitures. Serviette de la chambre trouée (surtout quand ils nous font signer un engagement de payer pour toute dégradation). De plus, au checkout, la personne s’est trompée de note en affirmant que c’était bien la mienne et que je devais payer 35€ de suppléments alors que je lui ai fait remarquer que je ne suis ni un homme, ni le nom mentionné : obligé de la reprendre deux fois en épelant à nouveau mon nom et le numéro de la chambre pour qu’elle s’excuse et me dise qu’il n’y avait aucun supplément finalement .. ce n’est pas méchant, mais cela manque d’attention.

La petite piscine était nickel pour un rafraîchissement après une journée au Soleil. Le buffet du déjeuner était assez bien, salé et sucré il y en a pour tout les goûts. L’emplacement de l’hôtel est proche de tout, nous nous sommes quasiment déplacer qu’à pied.

Nous avons séjourné avec une colonie de fourmis, que ça soit dans notre lit, contre les murs, ou encore un joli petit cimetière autour des deux lits. je trouve pour le prix malgré que les fourmis soit inoffensives il devrait pas y en avoir et surtout pas dans notre lit. Concernant les linges, nous avons fait 3 jours, et ils ont jamais été changer. Ils devraient être changé tous les jours. Nous avons rencontré qu’une employé parlant l’anglais ce qui est un peu compliqué lorsqu’il faut communiquer. Le mobilier de la piscine n’est pas soigner et il y a un seul parasol ( ce qui est trop peu).

This hotel is an oasis, only four blocks from the Plaza Principal in Bacalar. We liked everything: the Staff is accommodating, warm and friendly; room and common areas exceptionally clean; pool area is beautiful, so inviting; adequate, off the Street parking; fantastic breakfast offerings, at reasonable price.

Only suggestion, would be an upgrade to in-room air-conditioning, as the unit took a while to cool room.

Die Anlage war aehr gepflegt und sauber. Mitarbeiter waren auch aehr bemüht und stehts freundlich. Das Frühstück am Morgen konnte man selbst holen und war für jeden was dabei.

Die Toilette spühlte nicht richtig. ansonsten war alles gut

Łóżka ok, ale pokój delux ma 12 m², łazienka 8 m² czyli w sumie 20,a nie 35 m². Czystość ok ale pokój delux graniczy z zagrodą kurzą i śmierdzi kurami do tego od 3 w nocy kury zaczynają piąć, jest tak głośno że nie można spać. Te pokoje nie powinny być delux. Śniadania bardzo dobre i basen czysty.

Pokój z łazienką delux ( taknokreślony przez bokining) ma góra 20 m2 a nie 35 m². 35 m2 ma moze pokój z łazienką i tarasen na tory mają ii i dostęp. W nocy nie można spać przez kury sąsiada - to naprawdę jest hałas. Pokój jest tak mały że zbilem szklankę za którą musiałem zapłacić 150 pesso (mex) za co nie dostalem rachunku

The hotel was very clean and quiet, and the courtyard was a beautiful tropical oasis. Staff was very helpful. The included breakfast had some variety each day and was good.Neighborhood was very quiet at night. Unlimited refillable bottled water available at the bar 24hr. We were very happy that the hotel lived up to the pictures and reviews! We would definitely stay here again. 6min walk to main square where there were lots of shops, banking and restaurants.

The bikes available to guests were not maintained, and it seemed like the brakes were purposely dissabled to discourage guests from using them (for safety reasons). There wasn't an option that I could find for a king-sized bed, and our room had two double beds (not queen)... however, we did sleep very well.
