Beautiful and charming place, friendly staff, highly recommended
Nothing
Really nice modern take on a traditional inn. The room was comfortable and clean with an excellent shower. The food was of a high quality and good variety. The best feature is the staff who were very friendly, with nothing was too much trouble. I would certainly recommend.
I would really be ‘nitpicking’ to think of negatives !
A quaint inn/ pub/ hotel with a lot of history behind it dating back to the 16 th century. Staff were very polite, friendly and helpful. Food was god. Room was comfortable. Our little dog loved it too.
Excellent breakfast with a good selection
Missed some of the items on the ev evening meal
Everyone at the Stork was delightful, and although room #9 is on the smaller side, it was clean and cozy. We had Sunday dinner in the restaurant and my fish & chips were fantastic. My husband was delighted with his delicious lamb shank (and even more delighted that it was still on the menu when we got in to eat). The next morning we both had the full English breakfast which was excellent. The Stork is a very old inn, so has a lot of character, and it's location outside of Lancaster is perfect. When we arrived Sunday evening, the bar/restaurant was packed, so its obviously very popular because of its great food and welcoming atmosphere. Also, did I mention how wonderful the staff is?
Nothing!
Very good breakfast, plenty choice. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were very pleasant , spotlessly clean, ensuite. very well equipped, with mini-fridge. Dyson fan, coffee machine/kettle.and morr so every need was catered for. Even a nice fleece doggy blanket was provided with wipe clean dish mat and water/food dish. Also, a surprise present for the dog ie tug-rope toy, treat biscuits and poo bags.
Could have been more variety on the evening, meal menu choice.
We love staying here, it’s comfortable, clean with a lovely atmosphere and staff
Third visit to the Stork. As always it was clean, comfortable and the staff were amazing. Great breakfast.

It was a return visit & didn’t disappoint. Such a lovely location, comfortable, clean & well equipped room with delicious food.

Food fantastic. Staff amazing. Rooms again amazing. Couldn't falt a single thing.
Nothing.
Nice hotel good food attentive staff
Catered for vegetarians. Young staff very friendly and helpful. On main bus route to Lancaster
Staff were absolutely lovely - all youngsters and very kind and helpful. Breakfasts were excellent - if you have dinner I would stick with the grills/pub favourites as the excursions into higher cuisine didn't quite come off but still absolutely fine. Room was fine - very clean and tidy but quite bijou! Bathroom/shower was great. They were very "Dog Friendly" and even supplied a Welcome Pack for our pooch with a toy, bowl, eating mat, cooling mat, treats and a dog-bed! Nice touches and much appreciated.
Nothing really - pub/dining area maybe a little tired but I'm being picky here
As described. Great location - very warm in heatwave but great fans supplied.
Friendly and helpful staff Good breakfast Clean and comfortable room, quiet Good choice of food Very dog friendly
Breakfast was tasty with a good choice of ingredients a usual here.

Historic, beautifully renovated old coach house inn in a pleasant, rural location.
Beware of accessing from Lancaster, especially at peak hours. The property is on a bend and visibility from the north is compromised. Use the second, more southerly entrance to the carpark, which is fine.
Lovely old building with parking. Breakfast was good.
Nothing near by at all, so nothing to do apart from sit in hotel. It was raining so walking not an option. No usb plug in room which is disappointing in this day and age. Staff pleasant enough but much more interested in talking to each other. Dishes left on table for ages whilst they chatted. Wine £11 a glass ! Part of a chain so usual menu, nothing special and expensive for what it was.
Hervorragendes Frühstück. Sehr hundefreundlich, angenehme Atmosphäre und sehr freundlicher Service.
Great food, clean and warm hotel with AC in room
Setting sensational right on the estuary. Lovely atmosphere.
Nothing to report.
Clean and big room
Location
Convenient location outside of towns. The essential fan in the bedroom as the weather was hot. Large comfortable bed in spacious room 4. The server at breakfast had a generous smile and was very careful and helpful.
It seemed understaffed the day we arrived - slow check-in, slow food service. The room didn’t seem adequately cleaned for our second day - cups etc unwashed after our first day’s use.
The staff were helpful and friendly with nothing too much effort. Provided a separate gluten free menu which was a big yes from me. I hate getting a bar code to scan and spend half an hour trying to work out what I can have.
Nothing all good.
Great location, lovely staff, great value food.
Room a bit hot, but then it was the hottest day of the year.
lovely room spotlessly clean incredibly friendly and helpful staff. very dog friendly -Tam enjoyed his goody pack excellent breakfast and dinner - great value for money
The hotel is located close enough to the motorway with ample car parking. The staff were all friendly and the hotel / pub is very dogfriendly. The family room was just about large enough for 4 people and was refurbished recently. The dog was left some snacks which was a nice touch. The staff also put a fan in our room as it was very hot.
The only thing I didn't really like was the long waiting time for food in the evening. We ordered at 18:40 and were only served at 19:35. The waiter did tell us that there was a long waiting time, so it didn't come as a surprise but we didn't fully understand it as the pub wasn't full. Either way, the food was nice when it came.
beautiful peaceful relaxing

Friendly staff. Fab for gluten free options.

Beautiful location, great for walking to lovely places.
Nothing
Staff very friendly.. food and beer good nice strong shower..can go for a walk with dog along heritage walk way coastal for miles!.. impressed 👍... breakfast fine..all good
All good no problems
Ambience, Location, History, Lounge and Dining Areas, Bedrooms and Staff. Great value.
Minor issues only - Nothing really.
Very nice hotel Lovely pub Excellent food Clean and comfortable room Nice bathroom Staff all friendly and helpful Convenient location
Good value. Friendly staff. Basic breakfast but absolutely fine. Good location near foot paths. On the road so some road noise but minimal. Parking close. Pub had a cosy feel.
Access to rooms can be made via the fire exit at the back of the pub. You have to walk past the bins and smell. And the steps were slippery and not easy with a baby and carry cot. Cleaning and resurfacing the stairs in some way I think would be alot safer. You can of course access the rooms via the pub so you can avoid this entrance.

We were made to feel welcome as was our dog. The room was lovely although a bit of traffic noise. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was awesome 👌
Breakfast was excellent. Dinner was also very good. beds were comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Great location and perfect for our requirements - great evening meal and good breakfast
Everything was fine
Breakfast was excellent Staff very friendly Good value for money
The room could of been a little cleaner Better quality bedding
We had to cut short our stay due to illness in the family at home and the staff were most accomodating when we told them.
Nothing to complain about.
Breakfast on 1 st day was awesome. 2nd day awful, we both left half of it. Food at nite was great, as was the beer. The room was very hot to stifling although was a dyson fan which sounded like you tuned in radio am. Not comfortable. But weather can’t b controlled.
2nd breakfast, had to wait half an hour. Smashed avocado was sliced ,tomatoes cold, my eggs Benedict was awful eggs hard boiled with skin formed over aka bernaise sauce.really disappointed Bars manager and staff were great made the stay.
Location was beautiful, the staff were friendly and helpful, rooms were comfortable and clean, the breakfast was delicious and the beer was perfect!
Lovely breakfast.
Nothing really
Lovely setting with estuary walks close by
A bit close to the road
Great Breakfast. I was able to charge my car which was a bonus.
Room was quite hot overnight but we are having a heatwave.
Friendly staff, tasty food, nice beer garden and restaurant areas. Great location for enjoying the countryside but not far into Lancaster.
Nothing. All great :-)
Very little accommodation was available at the time of our booking and we got the last room at The Stork. (Unknowingly it was Graduation week at Lancaster University.) What a gem we stumbled upon! Quite a small room but certainly adequate, lovely en-suite shower room. Air Con machine in room, needed for July 2026 heat. There was even a sheet left for us in the room in case it was too hot for the quilt. Friendly and helpful staff, nice bar and eating area. Had an evening meal, reasonably priced. Typical Pub Food menu but Good pub food. Hotel was spotlessly clean, lovely breakfast and pretty location. 100% Recommended.
Can’t think of a thing we didn’t like!
It was clean with good facilities in the room and staff were lovely. Good choices for breakfast and food was delicious.
These are minor points - the chairs in the beer garden were not very comfy and the bed sheets felt rough - as if they had been washed without using fabric conditioner.
Lovely rooms, friendly helpful staff.
Fantastic sized room, king sized bed. Excellent breakfast. Staff all very kind and accommodating. Possibly the most powerful shower I have ever had the pleasure of standing under!
The room was hot but it's not likely to be an issue 99% of the time in the UK. The fan provided wasn't really up to the task at hand unfortunately.
Great location, clean, comfortable and the staff are great.
Nothing
Good location. Great Staff. Lovely food
The temperature control in the shower was either too hot or too cold. I think the thermostat was faulty. I mentioned it to the staff and they were very apologetic and hopefully it will be rectified. Didn’t spoil a lovely stay though
Lovely, welcoming hotel with friendly staff, comfortable beds and a delicious breakfast. We've stayed here several times before and hope to come back again. We would thoroughly recommend a visit!
Nothing
Nice location
Bit of road noise our room was close to road.
been here loads of times always good great room good food fantastic staff
We only stayed for one night with our elderly parents. Everything worked out well: the staff were friendly and helpful; the menu was good and food excellent; rooms were spacious and clean with nice bathrooms; and breakfast was excellent. We will definitely return again if passing your way.
Nothing.
The breakfast and the dining room was great. The room was small but clean and the bed was comfortable.
It was a little stuffy in the room so aircon would have been a nice bonus. I did open the window but someone's car alarm kept going off so the window had to be closed. There was a fan but it didn't seem to be working.
Nice location, bar had a convivial atmosphere, room and bed comfortable and a good breakfast.
No dislikes.
Good location for our needs. Good breakfast and evening meal.
A member of staff slouching and dragging her noisy heels along the wooden floor as she walked, constantly, through the restaurant whilst serving, very irritating. Bed wasn't a double as advertised a 3/4 size.
The breafast was great - plenty of options.
It was all lovely...even the weather was great. The staff are really thoughtful and helpful. The pub and garden are so good and the food was delicious. My bedroom was perfect and had extra touches that made it a perfect stay. Would definitely return.
Nothing. It was just lovely.
Lovely place. Great staff. Lovely food at amazing value. Kids ate free Mon to Thurs and the food was great
A lovely stay, comfortable, welcoming and very clean. Great room. We also dined and had breakfast.
It was all good.
Very friendly and helpful staff. A great stay overnight and a very good breakfast.
Nothing
It’s an ideal place to stop overnight travelling from Scotland to the south of England. It is dog friendly and the staff are friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast! No complaints.
Nothing.
Staff were all very friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. The room was spotlessly clean and there was a fabulous power shower. The toiletries were also superior. Best breakfast on our road trip so far - good selection and well cooked. For us, ideally placed as a halfway stop between Devon and Oban. Some lovely on the doorstep walks along the coast. Would definitely stay again.
Hmmm....can't really think of anything ... temp of water in the shower fluctuated a bit when others were using water ... but not seriously....
excellent
We were traveling and this hotel was a great location for our overnight stay
Car parking was a bit tight with a lot of cars using it.
Compliments to the staff- bar staff were friendly & cleaning staff made the rooms immaculate. Quiet beautiful location.
Nothing
Clean room. Comfortable bed. Cooked breakfast was nice. Quiet during the night
Uncomfortable chair in bedroom.Served overcooked gammon at evening meal. Told the waitress, nobody got back to us with any comment. Long wait for dessert. Path to beer garden passed our room at windowsill level and there were noisy kids running back and forth
Location, friendly staff and excellent breakfast choice.
Nothing
The staff were welcoming and friendly. It's a peaceful location.
The room was quite small, but adequate.
Underbart boende och mycket trevlig samt hjälpsam personal.
Old property but modernised inside
Nothing really but a bit surprised it was so remote
Warm friendly and attentive staff. The breakfast was excellent and our room was comfortable.

Breakfast excellent
All good
Good selection for breakfast with great service. Overall a very nice place to stay with added extras for the dog.
Breakfast exceptional . Cleanliness
Room was very small and very hot and stuffy
All very good. We were shown to our room and everything was well explained re fire exits, where to come in after hours, etc
Perfect for us Friendly welcoming staff Nice bar & pub food Great breakfast Handy location for Lancaster with good parking
Nothing
We booked a family room and chose the hotel due to the location as it was near our destination. The room was spotlessly clean and had everything we would expect. It was spacious with a lovely bathroom and great views across the countryside - I really enjoyed watching the swans on the river! We had an evening meal which was delicious and good value and breakfast was great with good quality, tasty ingredients & a good selection. We spent the evening in the bar which is nicely decorated and comfortable. There is a selection of board games available for guests and they are very dog friendly, there is a doggy menu, treats available and even some dog beds should your pooch need a rest :-) The staff were all really nice, friendly and helpful - special mention to Declan who checked us in and made us feel really welcome. There was a bit of road noise in the bedroom but it is by no means a busy road, we're just not used to being by the road. It certainly didn't disturb us!
Nicely located, not too far from the motorway. Excellent price, friendly staff, good food; and our dog was well looked after and made very welcome. Local area also very good for dog walks.
Lovely location, our room was large with double bed and a sofa. Good sized shower room. Food was great and friendly staff.
Nothing
Great friendly staff supper comfortable beds great food
Lovely clean room Great bar and restaurant
Nice clean environment
People without EV's parking in the EV charge bays
Friendly, relaxed, great location, nice beer, good breakfast.
Rooms are small, though well equipped
Good...freshly made.
It was very busy in The Stork so we had to wait about 20 minutes at check in to receive our room key. This is our only complaint though! The staff were friendly and efficient and constantly working hard.
Belle adresse typoique, bon restaurant et petit déjeuner, personnel sympathique et bon accueil, chambre confortable et cosy. Belle étape !
La Connexion endroit pas de réseau et wifi moyen
Staff were all friendly & helpful. The pub/hotel was lovely , clean interior quite modern. Evening meal & breakfast was excellent with a lot of choices & good value. Rooms were very nice & modern. Bed was comfy as was the pillows. We stayed on a warm weekend there were fans in the room that cooled it down. Tea/coffee in room & provided me with oat milk 👍😁 There was a nice walk down the lane by the estuary or over the bridge to Glasson. Lancaster was a 10 minute drive away and Blackpool about 15/20 minutes. Would highly recommend, we even stayed an extra night it was so good. We stayed as it was only a 5 minute drive to Black Knight skydive centre.
Everything was good
Beautiful pub Location good for a quiet night away Bedroom great, comfy bed, coffee machine and fan available

Lovely setting , great ambiance…really good location and loved the fact it was so dog friendly ..staff very friendly & helpful
While not dirty at all, could do with a good “spring clean “ re cob webs …but understand being in the country it’s hard
We really enjoyed our stay. The location was beautiful. The staff were pleasant. Anna was very helpful. The food was delicious and the chef was very accommodating with regard to my food intolerance (black pepper, chilli & nuts).
The property was easy to find in an idyllic setting, with convenient free parking. It was easy to find a member of staff to book in & find my room, which was beautiful and had a view out the front.
Just the bathroom door handle came off in my hand once, but it went straight back on. The room was in a very warm part of the hotel, but the fan was adequate & opening windows helps get a breeze into the room.
Right on the bus route for an afternoon in Lancaster! Great welcome from staff. Lovely room however I noticed a cobweb on the ceiling and dust down the back of the bed (the bed had no headboard - the wall panneling served as a headboard - and I noticed the dust down the back of the mattress when I moved the pillows.) Also the mirror on the dressing table was dusty and could do with a wipe down. Everything else seemed ok. Lovey beer garden. Great evening meal and a lovey breakfast. Staff were lovely. Would stop there again.
Could not seem to get onto Netflix etc, even to login to my own account, but no biggie was we were only there one night.
Super vielen Dank 😘
Our room was very elegant and clean. The shower pressure was amazing. We enjoyed using the coffee machine in the room with complimentary coffee pods provided. The location of the hotel is ideal to walk into Glasson or get a taxi into Lancaster. The cooked breakfast was also excellent with veggie and meat options provided. We will be back !
