Rossio Plaza Hotel

We were extremely satisfied with our stay at the Rossio Plaza Hotel! It exceeded all our expectations! The staff is the friendliest and most welcoming hotel staff we have ever encountered. Tomas warmly welcomed us upon arrival and was incredibly helpful, attentive, and willing to accommodate every request throughout our stay. The same goes for his colleagues, Ricardo, Gisela, and everyone else. I’m sorry I can’t remember all their names, but they all contributed to making our stay truly special. As for cleanliness, the hotel was absolutely spotless. The ladies who cleaned our room and the rest of the hotel did an excellent job every day. The towels were changed daily, and overall, this might be the cleanest hotel we have ever stayed at — even compared with some 5-star hotels we have visited across Europe. In addition, the hotel’s central location, within walking distance of many of Lisbon’s main attractions, makes it an ideal choice for a trip to Lisbon. We would definitely stay here again in a heartbeat! Highly recommended!

Die Lage ist ideal um Lissabon zu erkunden. Das Frühstück war für den kleinen Raum reichhaltig und ausreichend. Sehr schön war das Badezimmer, mit großer bodentiefer Dusche. Sehr netter Empfang mit Pasteis de nata und Portwein.

Wenn man gern mit offenem Fenster schlafen will ist der Straßenlärm sehr laut. Bei geschlossenem Fenster konnten wir schlafen. Das ist halt der Nachteil an der guten Lage. Der Frühstücksraum ist sehr klein.

Las habitaciones aunque pequeñas están bien, y el personal muy amable. Pero es como edificios con dormitorios no hay loby.

Very good location, Rossio plaza is a great starting point for exploring Lisbon. Nice clean room, very comfortable bed, we were in the new part. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was adequate.

No view from the window, was towards a the back and the neighbouring balcony a meter away. Not a problem for us, as it was more quiet this way.

Neu renoviertes Haus, modern und stylisch in hochwertigem Holz. Schicke Zimmer, bequeme Betten, Klimaanlage, zentrale Lage, trotzdem sehr ruhig. Perfekter Service, sehr gutes Frühstück. Ich würde hier jederzeit wieder einchecken.

Clean, classy hotel. My room #407 overlooked Rossio Square! The hotel location is the best of the best, so close and walkable to everything. The room was spotless, the bed and linens were so comfortable, the bathroom was modern and upgraded. There was a refrigerator in the room and new coffee pods delivered daily. When you walked up to your room, it says 'welcome' in a floor spotlight every time you enter. Way to feel inspired.

Hotellet var rent og romslig. Deilig senger og fint bad. Beliggenheten var veldig sentral og gjorde det lett å komme seg rundt til fots, med bolt eller med metro/buss.

Noe lytt inn fra gangen. Man kunne høre godt når folk gikk i gangen og samtalene de hadde.

Rossio is a very well-kept hotel in the heart of the Baxia district in Lisbon. It was walkable to many other areas that we visited. The staff were incredibly friendly and rooms were cleaned well each day. The worst thing about it? There is a second entrance that you use to access the rooms (which is totally fine), but when you enter that section, there is a TERRIBLE smelling diffuser that they use in that area. It smelled like floral garbage - a certain sweetness to the funk. Sounds crazy to complain about, but it was pretty bad - lol. They just need to lose that thing and then holding my breath while walking up the flight of stairs to get to the elevator wouldn't have been so bad. The room is quite small, but that's how it is in a lot of big cities where real estate is too valuable for people to sprawl everywhere. It was functional, efficiently planned, and clean (great mattresses, too! Pillows were a little soft and lumpy, but whatever). Overall, I'd recommend it for both value, location, and cleanliness. Oh, and it has great AC - when the days are 35 degrees outside, the AC is VERY much appreciated!

The hotel is located almost directly across the street from the Rossio Elevator and a short walk from Rossio Plaza. The location was very accessible and only a 5 minute walk from the Rossio Metro station (that is how we got from the airport to downtown). The room was quiet and peaceful and spacious enough for us to relax and spread out a little. The bathroom was well-appointed with great water pressure in the shower and nice towels! The bed was also very comfortable - a nice plush/firm feel. The hairdryer in the room worked well. The air conditioner also worked very well and even in the heat, we slept nice and cool. The breakfast was a balance of fresh fruits, local cheeses, croissants and other pastries, breads, lunch meats, fresh eggs, veggies, and cereals. Good way to start the day. The breakfast staff was very helpful and went out of their way to accommodate requests. The staff at the front desk were very informative and helpful with everything from restaurant recommendations to public transportation guidance. One of the restaurant recommendations was for Taberna da Baixa - simply outstanding. Being close to the Rossio train station (5 min walk) made it easy to get to Sintra via train, so access to the train station was a definite plus. The front desk is also the keepers of fresh Nata pastries every day, and a small glass of good Port. Definitely made us feel welcome! When we return to Lisbon, we will likely stay at Hotel Rossio Plaza if we can get a room with view.

De kamers waren recent vernieuwd. De badkamer had veel ruimte rond de wastafel om al je toiletgerief kwijt te kunnen. De kamer was niet enorm groot, maar voor een citytrip meer dan voldoende. Aan het ontbijt was voldoende variatie. We mochten zelfs een ontbijt vroeger klaarmaken om mee te nemen op een excursie. Het volledige personeel was vriendelijk en zeer behulpzaam.

You can’t get more central than this! Perfect location, the room was a good size, very clean, nice modern design, the bed was great, and had everything you could need. They cleaned the room and changed the sheets and towels every day, which was very nice. We also had a lovely view from the window. They were kind enough to keep our luggage on the last day until our flight, at no extra cost. Overall, it was a really great experience.

The only thing that was a bit disappointing was the communication regarding the requirement to provide bank card details or a deposit at check-in. This was only communicated on the day of our arrival, which I found a little unpleasant, especially as we had been in communication for months and this was never mentioned, nor was it mentioned when we made the booking. I would therefore recommend being more transparent about this requirement in advance. Other than that, it was a really lovely stay!

Το μόνο που μας προβλημάτισε ήταν το κλιματιστικό, το οποίο δεν λειτουργούσε σωστά και χρειάστηκε να ζητήσουμε να το ελέγξουν. Επίσης, αντιμετωπίσαμε ένα μικρό θέμα με την καθαριότητα στις μαξιλαροθήκες και στις πετσέτες. Ωστόσο, το προσωπικό ανταποκρίθηκε άμεσα και φρόντισε να τακτοποιήσει το θέμα.

A localização é excelente, próximo a todos os pontos de interesse. Pontos turísticos, restaurantes e comércio, tudo pode ser feito a pé. Funcionarios atenciosos, educados e profissionais. Agradecimento especial a funcionária Maria, responsável pelo café da manhã que muitas dicas nos forneceu.

部屋やベッドが狭くてびっくりしたが、家具や備品の配置がとても計計算されていて、コンパクトで使い勝手が良かった。フロントのスタッフも私達がチェックインした時と夜のシフトのフロントスタッフがとても感じが良かった。快適に過ごせました。ありがとう！

A localização era perfeita, perto de pontos turísticos, perto de lojas que gostamos, perto do metrô, da estação de trem. Ao lado do hotel existe uma sorveteria deliciosa e uma casa de pastéis de nata que ganhou nosso coração. A equipe do hotel é nota mil, todos muito atenciosos e prestativos.

I like that the hotel is very close to all the amenities, restaurants and transportation. Everything is walking dIstance and accessible. The area is vibrant and a perfect location to stay. Facilities is clean and the staffs are hospitable and accommodating. I also like that hotel offer breakfast at a fee. There are good selections of food for breakfast including fruits. I enjoyed my stay at this hotel and highly recommend it.

I did not like that to reach to the elevator. I needed to climb the stairs one floor up. However, the hotel staffs help in bringing my luggage's up the floor to the elevator.

Posizione ottima,comodissimo per la sua vicinanza alla stazione metro di Rossio ma anche per girare a piedi. La nostra camera era piccolina ma pulitissima, confortevole e letto super comodo!

The location is excellent - we found staying so close to Rossio Plaza very convenient. The room was modern, and the air conditioning was fantastic. The staff were lovely.

The elevator was broken when I arrived and the staff were great. Offered to let me know when it was fixed so I could get my luggage to my room. All fixed quickly.

The staff at reception and during breakfast were incredibly helpful and friendly, providing exceptional service throughout our stay. The location is outstanding, just 3 minutes from the waterfront and surrounded by fantastic restaurants. The train station, major attractions, and the historic city centre are all within easy walking distance. We couldn't have asked for a better location.

The breakfast at the Rossio Plaza was wonderful. Typical European breakfast which are always nutricious and delicious. Love the yogurt and veggies. The hotel is well situated close to absolutely everything with many restaurants within walking distance. In fact your are within walking distance of most things. Shoping nearby was great as was access to the various tour buses.

It was centrally located and very easy to get around from there either by walking or taking public transportation. While the room was small it was very well equipped and comfortable.

As instalações do quarto são modernas, amplas e muito confortáveis. O chuveiro é excelente, e tanto as roupas de cama quanto as toalhas estavam sempre limpas e cheirosas. O hotel tem excelente localização, na Baixa de Lisboa, em frente ao Elevador de Santa Justa e próximo a uma estação de metrô. Mesmo estando no centro histórico, o isolamento acústico do quarto é muito eficiente, garantindo uma estadia tranquila.A localização permite conhecer os principais pontos turísticos a pé, além de contar com fácil acesso ao transporte público.A equipe é muito atenciosa e cordial.

We absolutely loved the location! Was able to walk around Lisbon which was our main concern. Staff were exceptional! Very helpful and attentive. The rooms were very clean and on the most part quiet. Beds comfortable and shower was excellent! We did not have breakfast there but did enjoy the complimentary coffee but needed to Google how to use the machine, tricky for 1st time users. All in all, we would return as well as recommend to others! 😀

There was a smell in our hallway which was due to the age of hotel, sulfur smelling, like rotten eggs. Also, the sinks are rather small so washing up caused a bit of splashes in front of sink which could be hazardous . Other than that, we loved our stay!

Exceptionally clean, modern, fantastic staff, great location for exploring Lisbon, lovely breakfast served by Maria each morning (as soon as she saw us she brought us our preferred morning drinks without being asked and always brought refills half way through, again without being asked). We were there for a week and Housekeeping changed sheets and towels every day, and provided iron and ironing board when needed.

Small niggle - No drawers for clothes, only 6 hangers in a wardrobe so, as we were there for a week, we lived out of our suitcases.
