Gran lobby, piscinas enormes, espacios amplios, muy buena habitación, buen gym, el hotel mas lujoso de la zona. Ubicado en calle de tiendas.

La atención de algunos empleados. En recepción quisimos hacer upgrade a todo incluido y no nos dejaron, aun queriendo pagar mas. Los cocineros y camareros del restaurante de la piscina NEFASTOS. Decimos no picante, y traen un plato que le faltaba arder. Nos lo cambian al quejarnos, y encima traen una ración mas pequeña y sigue picando muchisimo (era la misma que devolvimos con menos, y cambiada la salsa). No nos dejaban cambiarlo por otra cosa encima. Feo detalle, ni dejar cambiar, ni no cobrar el plato. Decepcionante este aspecto. Bar de la playa cerrado para huespedes por un evento. Yo pago para poder utilizar TODAS las instalaciones del hotel. La zona de playa que tiene no es la mas bonita ni mucho menos.

The room is beautiful except it has a very unpleasant smell (probably from floor wastes in the bathroom). The view from 7th floor middle wing was spectacular! Bathroom was fabulous. Beds were old but comfortable enough. Aircon was excellent The balcony was great. Other than the bad smells the room was really spacious & lovely.. Breakfast buffet was very good though chaotic with too many people in a small space - & this is low season. Also it finished at 10am on the dot! No sleeping in! Pool is lovely though shallow & only ladders, no steps, which is no good for less abled people. Plenty of sunloungers (it's low season) & a very attractive sunloungers & bar area by the beach under trees. You have to wear a wrist band for identification by security staff!!!! Horrors! Staff everywhere are superb! (Thashuli ? On front desk- You are wonderful) Gardens & grounds are amazingly well maintained. It's a lovely resort (except for the rooms smelingl) but I would avoid it during peak times & when there are huge multi day weddings taking place as the facilities may not cope..

The stink from the bathroom wastes permeating the room. The regimentation of the sunloungers - all lined up in perfect rows like soldiers. The loud music at the beach club. That you could not easily get to the main street close by without walking along the beach itself. Be careful of huge weddings happening during your stay

I liked checking out of the hotel.

On check in the receptionist made a big deal about our room and told us we got a nice room. However it was the one paid for and booked. Room presented well, view from balcony. Ocean view- once you gaze past the generators and rubble. Hallways with bed bases and bags of rubbish, this was not during a housekeeping time. Stopped for a tea before bed, no peppermint tea dispite a 6 foot x 6 foot tea wall which is " just for show" Ordered 2 baileys coffees, barman hadn't a clue even with baileys on a promotion. Waiting over 30 min then a member of the bar staff approached us asking if we'd like a drink. 10 mins later 1 coffee arrived. I went paid and spoke to a manager who apologised but clearly didn't care. After leaving the "bar" we ran a bath with the complimentary bath salts. On pulling the plug the water gushed from under the bath. The bath was not plumbed as expected and we used towels to guide the water into the drain. Day 2 the room was damp and in turn our clothes were musty. I noted mould on the ceiling. We read the reviews on another site and it was clear we were not the only ones with issues in this hotel. Avoid at all cost.

Minden várakozást felülmúlt, igazi luxus szálloda.Mivel júliusban voltunk többször volt hullámos a part, de ez nem von le az értékéből.Az ételek kiválóak, kedves emberek, nagyon kényelmes ágy! Mindenkinek szívesen ajánlom!!!! Árban pedig szenzációs, Balatonra nem megyek ennyiért.

We booked this hotel last minute for a night on our way to the airport. We don't usually stay in big hotels as we prefer smaller boutique stays, however for one night it was perfect. We paid extra for a late check out as we flew from Colombo at 1am. It has everything you need if you like a big resort style hotel. Comfortable rooms, multiple areas to relax and eat in, a large pool and loungers on the beach. You can swim in front of the hotel.

One issue - we were charged twice as booking.com took our money and so did the hotel. They said they would sort it with their finance team but we are yet to have the money refunded 2 weeks later.

Teveel onnodige personeel, ze staan wel bij de lift om een knopje in te drukken maar in het restaurant komt je drankje pas nadat je helemaal klaar bent met het eten. Alles duurt heeel lang, inchecken duurde bijna half uur. Mijn zoon had allergie of bedbugs reactie we weten niet exact wat het was, wel in de nacht kamer verandert. Guest relations dame was wel professioneel. Tijdens check in hele discussie met Radula een manager denk ik. Onze vrienden had niet ontbijt geboekt via booking dus wilden ze daar ontbijt bijboeken je krijgt daar bijna dubbel prijs voor ontbijt en een hele discussie met de onprofessionele Radula manager die geen kritiek accepteert en wil weglopen wanneer je nog aan het praten bent. Na een half uur weten ze eindelijk wat je moet betalen voor ontbijt daar moet een manager voor komen om dat te beslissen. Boek dus altijd via booking je ontbijt. Kamers ook te vochtig dat merk je aan het dekbed en zelfs je kleding in je koffer.

Geweldig! Wat een super hotel.. alles was perfect, en iedereen was zo lief..

This is a luxurious and beautiful property situated right on the beach. Especially enjoyed the position of hotel to the beach and private beach area

The only thing that spoilt this hotel was the local sellers coming onto the private beach and pestering you to buy from them

The location was amazing, with stunning views of Lion Rock. The staff were friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast was wide-ranging, including both Sri Lankan and Western foods. The large infinity pool was a welcome relief at the end of the day, as too was the bar.

The only negative was the air conditioner in my room did not work properly - it only had one speed, which was high. The ceiling fan in the room was borken.

Location was ok, however quite far from other destinations

The room only price displayed on the app is around Rs 34000/=, how ever only after I booked the room via the app I got to know that full board price is only around Rs 36000/=. I asked for the upgrade multiple times, but they said they couldn't do anything since I booked the room via an app. I called the number mentioned on the app, the guy answered the phone was not really helpful, and sounded irritated to get the call from me and asked me to contact the reception. The food is really not that great, not worth the price at all. The breakfast cost me Rs 4600/= and before I finished they took the main plate away with the cutleries, I was just resting after eating few pancakes. The juice served was diluted and artificial, not fresh. Even the simple fried rice was not upto standards at all. The door leading to balcony can't be locked from inside, so eventhough you are 9 stories up, it's quite uncomfortable to sleep at night with one door unlocked.

The staff were amazing! Especially the house keeping. Rooms were clean, spacious and better than the pictures. Food was nice but the roof top restaurants were not open when we stayed, which was unfortunate.

What we needed and suggest that the hotel give appropriate tour of all the facilities and activities upon arrival since this is a large property, and we missed the padel court and other activities. Or the hotel should provide a hotel host that sends the list daily via WhatsApp in order to arrange your day accordingly and reserve

Vibrant location , great beach club, beach access , good atmosphere.

Breakfast has a lot of space for improvement - not enough cold-fresh options suitable for the hot and humid weather. Time to upgrade policies - towel cards are out fashioned and giving only one access card for the room and not printing new card for access upon loss/request either. Oh , and Coffee ☕ is horrible, time to upgrade yourself to at least Levazza equivalent automatic coffee machine if not a dedicated Coffee Barista.

My husband and I loved this resort. The property was clean and well maintained. The service was good. (we mostly used room service). Staff were nice and did their best.

Amazing resort, fantastic location. The reason why it's the number 1 5 star hotel in the area. Great service, right on the beach, also has a padel club attached. Rooms are massive, can't fault anything.

The man selling mangoes took money for a mango from my son and also from my daughter in law and would not refund them for the double payment. That made us very angry.

It was very busy. The beach staff were very noisy repeatedly yelling Tuna, Tuna and ringing a bell. It was very annoying.

Поселили в номер не по категории , внизу под номером на улице расположены огромные вентиляторы (постоянно громко работают ) даже на 9 этаже было очень слышно окно не открыть ! В номере было сломано оборудование кондиционера ,постоянный шум не давал спать ! Спали в берушах ! Номер старый , очень убитый. Еда в столовой (рестораном это назвать нельзя) очень плохая, стулья старые , грязные ! Вечером покушать кроме столовой негде ! От бассейна пошла аллергия по коже ! Очень часто отель продаёт больше номеров , чем у него есть - из нашей компании одной семье отказали в поселении , хотя у них был на руках оплаченный ваучер (номер делюкс). Им сказали езжайте куда хотите и выгнали , они были вынуждены снять номер в другом отеле не далеко , и опять заплатить !!!! Деньги им не вернули !!! Вообщем кошмар !! На пляже купаться не возможно стоят лодки ! Пляж городской своего у отеля нет ! Место где стоит Отель глухая деревня с одной грязной улочкой , погулять негде , стоит просто смог от тук туков!!!

Staff was excellent, very helpful. The view from the room was good. The head chef, front office manager and the Beach bar staff was very welcoming and accomodating to our needs.

For this category and being a 5 star hotel, I have experianced much better luxuary in Sri Lank. The deccor was dated and does not go with the Araliya theme, rather Aliya (Elephant) theme. there was no harmony for a place that is called a resort spa. Need to update and maintain the hotel infrastructure better. Over priced for what it was. Lack of taste in deccor.

The room was very comfortable with a view of the sea. The spa was extremely luxurious with treatments given in one of a number of small cabanas built around a man made lake. The staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. Fresh tuna was caught and brought onto the beach and into the hotel and beautiful fresh sushi was made available at a very reasonable price.

Lovely location, facilities and staff. Everyone was so pleasant and helpful, a nice reflection of the brand and the people of Sri Lanka. I especially appreciated that the pool is open till 10pm with a swim up bar so when you want to do something but too tired to go out, this was a nice treat. The buggy service to the main entrance was also appreciated as it can get hot during the day.

The space is large and comfortable but does feel a bit.. empty or cold. But this is expected with resort-style spaces. Didn’t dine in so no comments on food or dining.

This is by far the best hotel in Unawatuna, however that doesn't mean they are the best. The rooms are pretty and spacious, food is nice - the beach restaurant area with fresh fish and fruit market was a highlight, it made the experience more unique. The pool is heated to the right temperature to enjoy it at any time of the day.

Hotel staff needs to improve. Most of them speak zero English which made communication very difficult, and even when the spoke some English they were very difficult in accommodating simple requests - one time I asked for a bottle of water during breakfast buffet, they talked to 4 or 5 different people for that only in the end to come and tell me after more than 30min that I had to pay for it. In general the attitude of staff was not very friendly or helpful, and many times they would talk amongst themselves infant of you making faces which was very uncomfortable. The whole beach and pool area doesn´t have toilets, so you need to walk a long way and go inside the restaurant area to use the toilets - very inconvenient. The pool area has only 5 lounge chairs - why? There´s definitely a lot of room for improvement as it is not a cheap hotel.

The rooms are nice and spacious with comfy beds and a nice big bath. The breakfast options I thought were pretty good for such a large hotel and the food in other restaurants also quite good. The location is also pretty good, right at the end of the road to get into unawatuna but a nice walk out either down the beach or along the road with lots of food and drink places close by. There’s also lots of nice wildlife on the hotel grounds which was great!

There seemed to be quite a lot of rules and fussing, had to have a card to get towels for the beach/pool, needing wristbands on at all times, somebody pressing the elevator button for you. All just seemed quite fussy and I think sometimes the staff maybe just need to take a step back and let me finish pouring my own bottle of beer into the glass.
