Property was clean, breakfast suited my needs, convenient steakhouse walking distance. Staff welcoming. I would recommend adding anti skid mat in bath tub as it is very slippery when wet but otherwise very clean and quiet.

Rooms did not have a very good smell. One room did not even have a fan in the bathroom just to light so we changed to another room which did not smell very good either. Bathrooms don’t look very clean around the toilet and sink areas. Hotel was renovated however we found that some areas were renovated and some were not. The breakfast was very limited. No coffee makers in the room and not even any ice buckets or ice around the hotel at all.

It was kind of a rundown place. The bathroom/toilet was so small and narrow. The toilet paper holder was hanging threadbare that when I started taking the paper the holder came off from the wall. The breakfast selection was small.

Le rapport qualité prix n'y est pas du tout. La moquette était sale avec plusieurs tâches bien visibles. Tâches de café sur la petite table basse également. Literie beaucoup trop mole à notre goût. Le petit déjeuner continental est vraiment décevant : la machine à jus de fruits ne fonctionne pas et à 8h du matin la seule brique de jus de fruit disponible est vide et l'employée m'indique qu'il n'y en a pas d'autres. Pas de fruits, pas de yaourts ou de produits frais. Vous devrez vous contenter de café/thé ; pain tranché emballée par 2 ; 2 choix de céréales ; machine à gauffre avec une pâte qui ne semble pas de toute fraîcheur.

Breakfast included a few choices, waffles, hot and cold cereals, yogurt, pre wrapped varieties of bread, fruit, juices, and coffee. The room was clean and fresh. Typical older motel that has been renovated , with very comfortable beds, hardwood floors, fridge, full cable tv options, and a small bathroom.

Although the bathroom has been updated, it was small, (typical of the earlier days). Room lighting is slightly dim.

Room was good but had a terrible smell to it. Putting the air conditioning on helped. Only toast for breakfast, not even simple fruit of apples or bananas.

Great place, appears recently updated and the bed was comfy. Only thing to make the room that final bit would be to have a bedside lamp so you don't need to get up for the switch. The rooms are surprisingly quiet for being on the Trans Canada highway, I can't recall hearing any on the trucks which passed while I was in the room. There's a restaurant across the parking lot and other options a short distance away. Will be staying here again

We booked this hotel last minute when we were on the road. It was welcoming and the staff were great. It was a very comfortable and pleasant stay. Kapuskasing is a cute little place.

Absolutely lovely staff, helped with all of my questions, and made sure I felt comfortable. The room is nice and clean.

Good choice for an affordable hotel, with large rooms, beds, and room cleanliness were average. Location is great just next to the highway with lots of parking stalls.

Everything was spiffy clean, had a great sleep. Only thing i missed was i could not find butter for the toasts! Lol

Everything was great except no bathroom amenities. Travelling a lot, there has ALWAYS been shampoo and conditioner to use. I did not bring any and was very disappointed that there was none. The front desk lady tried to find some but could only find a bar of soap. Really not suitable for women’s hair!!! Even at a purchase option would be ideal.

AC was not working. Reception is unatended most of the time.

I booked a king suite at 6 pm and my reservation was switched to a queen bed at 9 pm. no email to advise of the change or call. The property has been updated and everything was nice and clean . The 2 issues i had was they needed a cash deposit. No receipt supplied for this deposit . And they undated the whole place just the leave the nasty carpet that looks like it survived a few dead bodies.

Wonderful staff and room was nice only drawback was no in room coffee however it was a short walk down the hall.

Was excellent for a quick overnight stay during business trip.

Room was OK but the TV did not have a remote. When we went to front desk she just said there has been a problem with that room. But she did not get us a working remote or change our room

Felt grimy Sink would not drain - couldn't brush our teeth in the morning as the sink was from the night before Bathroom was TINY

Staff were fantastic. There was a basement area for the hockey team to kill time in.

The walls are paper thin and the hallway floor sounds hollow. You could hear everything moving.

Rooms were clean and comfy, front desk was friendly, great restaurant right next door.

I travel thru the north periodically and will stay again . The hotel has had a half decent renovation and is worth the money .

The rating on Expedia was 9.2 I expected a very nice place. The place was okay but definitely not a 9.2.

The motel is clean confortable but the view is a industrial park but it is no importance. This notel is great

We were happy not to be booking at a chain hotel/motel. The rooms are large, beds comfortable. However the bathroom is very small; sink outside the bath/toilet room. The AC is very, very noisy. There are no opening windows so the room got very hot at night. Breakfast was bare-bones but nice to have something.

Upon arrival we noticed the room had the previous occupants food and garbage all over it . Hair in the sink and tub. Toilet plugged . It was after 11pm with tired cranky kids and we had to ask the staff to come look at the condition of the room. They didn’t offer a new room. Didn’t offer a discount . Vacuumed for 3 seconds and left . Avoid this place .

A good stay. Considering that this is an older property, our room was comfortable and everything worked. We have stayed here a few times before and will continue to do so whenever we pass thru Kap.

Upon arrival we didn’t like what we saw. We changed our opinion the longer we were there. Price for the room was good. The cleanliness was good. Very much space in the room and quiet.

Acceptable for price

The room is very nice and clean. You can park your car right in front of your room, which is very convenient. The staff are very friendly

The bath room door paint and the door frame paint was peeling off but everything else looked good.

No irons and ironing boards in rooms. pretty minor and only complaint really, a bit of a pain to have to ask to use one from the staff.

Needed a room for a night on the drive from Alberta to Quebec. Was very fair priced, clean and right on the highway. The city is also the only one in the area with amenities. Was exactly what I needed. Would stay again

A well maintained motel in a small town in the middle of nowhere. It is a truism that the best value is often found in off the beaten track placed like this.

I have stayed here a few times and I can’t say enough about how nice the renovated rooms are. Front desk service was great too.

Good price Right on highway Next to a restaurant The bathroom was clean Parking outside room Mini fridge in the room which is important to us Firstly, the checkin process took almost 25 minutes!!! The young man wanted to assist us but was left trying to figure things out. He also put attending to us aside a few times in order to assist others (??) We saw evidence of the recent renovations and the place is clean. 👍. We get to the room and the beds are awful!! I went and asked if they were part of the renos and I was told “yes”. Eventually the bed was so uncomfortable that I took the sheets off…on the label, written in felt marker was “2001”!!!! Gross!!!! Next, no blackout drapes. The thing decorative drapes in place were transparent, in both night or day. Then, the bathroom area was completely visible from I anyone walking by outside as there was such a gap between the wall and the curtain. NOTE: the motel was almost empty and yet for some reason we were given this room, the only one in the whole row w/out blackout drapes. Finally, we were in bed when a lady opened our outside door with a key. She had been given our room upon checkin! We couldn’t get the bed lamp to work…eventually pulled the stand out..unplugged. 🙄. The tv was unplugged and the HDMI cords could not be attached. Someone had broken the outlet. Breakfast was scarce. Hot water and coffee pots cold. After going to the desk we learned it was at a station down the hall.

The only thing was the bathroom setup very small and the door is always in the way and no hairdryer other then that everything was fine.

Dog barking in a room down the hall till after 1 am was unreal. Owner must have been out for the night.

It is located right off highway 11 and the room was very spacious and clean. Check-in was very efficient and speedy. Would definitely stay here again.

The property itself is located next to what looks like a junk yard. The rooms themselves are very clean and quiet. Its located right off Hwy 11 so very convenient. Another bonus is that Chuck's Restaurant is right next door. You can Park, Eat and Sleep after a long day driving!

Pleasantly surprised by the overall great condition and cleanliness of this hotel. If you are staying in Kapuskasing. The Apollo is a great option at a great price. Our pets were able to stay for free!
