Parking was always long waits in the morning

Thw location was close to the wharf and boardwalk. I only had coffee not breakfast

I love the fact that it’s in walking distance from the boardwalk, the room was large enough for our party of 6, and the cafe in the lobby was yummy, and valet parking downstairs was so kind and welcoming!

I really liked the room I was in, the breakfast serving was so fantastic. The valet i was very new with but they did such an amazing job keeping my car safe and secure. I would definitely come here again on my next trip!!

What i wasn't too fond of was mainly having my room maintenance, Like I thought I would have fresh new towels or sheets within a few days of my stay, but when I have asked for room service they did bring the towels but not the rest of the maintenance of what my room needed. Hopefully the next time it would be done. I still had an amazing time at this hotel this is just my personal experience:).

*We chose this hotel because the pool was advertised as heated and open until 10 PM, but the water was cold after 8 PM, so we could not enjoy the pool. * Housekeeping did not service our room during our stay and did not check whether we needed fresh towels. * Body wash was missing upon check-in. * The quality of the bed linens was disappointing. * The bathroom tissue box was almost empty — only two tissues were provided. * We would also appreciate complimentary bottled water being provided upon check-in. * Valet parking was an additional $35. * I have stayed at Courtyard by Marriott hotels in another country and had an excellent experience, so I expected the same level of service here. * Unfortunately, this hotel did not meet the standards I expected for the price, and I would not choose this hotel or the chain again.

We have stayed at this location 4 times and keep coming back for our yearly Santa Cruz visit.

Location, clean, available parking, easy check-in, plenty of bathroom towels, and pool.

Amenities in room - i.e. no cups, no coffee maker (Starbucks in lobby is only option and expensive), code required for restrooms by pool, but not listed anywhere (had to ask staff in spa), and when I phoned reception I was placed on hold 3x on one call, placed on long holds for each of the 3 calls I made, and finally 4pm check-in is very late for this location at these prices.

The pullout bed for the kids was terrible. The mattress was completely shot, with no support. We have had better! Mandatory $35/day valet parking came as a surprise but totally understandable for the area.

Clean and modern room, easy access to the broadwalk. Staff members are professional and quick to address issues/concerns. Big kudos to the valet parking staff. They are friendly n professional.

There is a self-service laundry room for guests, however there isn't a coin exchange system at the lobby. It was inconvenient to get my clothes washed.

Rooms were amazing and huge! Super tall 15+ft ceilings on the first floor. I’m stunned this hotel was so reasonable.

Complete lack of any customer service. There isn’t even a brochure or any paperwork in the hotel room with information about the hotel (Wi-Fi password, pool and restaurant hours, etc). It feels like you check in and you’re on your own. Front desk provided no information when asked about nearby restaurants- thru said they didn’t know. No one came to clean the room during our stay and no staff was available to help with luggage despite 5 employees sitting at the mandatory valet parking kiosk - they just watch you unload and load your car and move your luggage. Overall hotel is clean but too expensive and completely lacks any customer service.

the breakfast could be improved and better suited to the quality of the property. Also, the room could use more amenities, such as hand soap and other basic essentials, which were limited.

The room met my expectations and I was able to check in early. The art-deco furnishings are cool.

I guess a little more signage would be nice for the elevator to the parking garage and a better explained parking access. I did not think I could enter the parking garage because it said valet only and I had not yet gotten my valet access.,

The staff were not helpful. For several of us our rooms were not available for an hour past check in. Then the following day when I wanted a late check out they said no. The hallway wreaked of pot smoke, they did nothing.

It was clean and the rooms were beautiful. The staff was helpful and the location was perfect for walking to most of the city.

We canceled the reservation which included 2 rooms but they only canceled one room and charged us for the second room, saying we should have canceled both rooms separately with different confirmation number, even though it was under 1 reservation.

The valet guys seemed like they did not know wtf was going on . Should have been our first clue. Our room was not ready. Our check in was at 4pm, we were told after 4 the room would be ready. I said no we needed it by 4pm we had an event at 6 we needed to get ready for. I over heard them telling all guests rooms might be ready by 5pm. I got my room. Terrible!!!! Then our toilet was plugged. To say for the amount I spent I would not rent there again. And by the way the food is way over priced. 2 small bags of chips charge was $9.00 they are the size that come in the 15pk box from Costco. Ridiculous!

They put us in a room that the door lock is broken. We had to move from 2nd floor to 1st floor at 10pm with a sleeping toddler. We had to repack our stuffs, it was really inconvenient for us.

We really enjoyed the location and the bed was comfortable. The valet staff were really friendly and chill.

We were not aware that there was a door that led/was attached into another hotel room, so that was a bit uncomfortable because we could hear a lot of what the other room was saying/yelling/ crying through that door. Like, to the point someone was screaming at 1 am but they sounded like they were right next to us. We could hear the same room snore SO LOUD it was miserable trying to fall asleep. The bathtub had dirty water still in it when we first checked in which wasn't ideal. The elevators to go down to the lobby smelled like this weird burnt plastic and one of them (on the right) would shake and make some weird noises so we played it safe and just took the stairs. Tbh, I felt like I could have had a better stay experience anywhere else. I didn't feel like this was really worth it.

Location is convenient and located on a well-lit set of streets. It's nice that the location is close to the Boardwalk and beach, but not on the Boardwalk, as that area is loud. Easy to walk from the hotel to Front St. Large lobby area for gathering and useful in-hotel convenience shop at check-in. Didn't get to use it, but was super happy to see affordable, clean, and new-ish guest laundry available.

The room was spacious, but I wish there were a couple more useful items provided. For example, it would be great to have a simple electric kettle in the room. The Keurig-like coffee machine isn't a replacement for hot, clean (non-coffee-tasting) water for tea and other applications (e.g. baby formula). If not in the room, then available 24/7 in the lobby area. From an environmental standpoint, I understand limiting the replacement of towels and bedsheets, however, with small children, you really need daily towel exchanges, and refills of consumables (e.g. body wash, paper cups, tissues).

The room was very clean and the high ceilings were a great feature in our 1st floor room. The doors creaked a lot so they might have needed oil to quiet them down a bit. The hotel was very nice visually overall.

The breakfast was brutal. I usually have a fine breakfast but this one was so bad I was stopped in my tracks. We were told by front desk that the breakfast was made from scratch and that the ingredients used were really good. So I was ready for a great experience especially since breakfast was not included at this hotel like it usually is at Hilton properties. I ordered the breakfast burrito and it was probably the worst $16 burrito I've ever had. The egg was powdered and the bacon was so soggy and soft I was surprised it didn't come with a spoon. The sausage that I asked to be added for an extra $5 fee was rubbery and difficult to chew. The burrito was so bad I can honestly say I was impressed by how much you'd have to work to make it that bad. I was expecting ingredients from scratch but I'm thinking they ran to the gas station across the street to buy the bacon and eggs.

Hidden fees for $30 a day for parking/valet. It was enforced after we arrived there. Communication issue at front desk as I reserved a day ahead from my family members who had serious knee sprained. The next day to confirm the room as I was told was somewhere $80+ more. The front desk was not listening carefully that we already reserved for the next day. I went up to the room to start packing when I realized the front desk was not listening carefully enuff. I am deaf and speak very well with hearing world, it's been challenged long time ago. And we are still not accepted in the society, and it shall be continued with the challenges for the appreciation. The downstairs stairway leading to the car garage was blocked. The elevators was an issue both ways, leading to car garage and to those rooms.

Incredible location and beautiful large rooms. Staff were very accommodating with us as we decided to check in a day early. Would definitely stay again.

Doesn’t deserve Mariott tag

Rooms weren’t ready for check in and Wasn’t able to get the rooms until 8.30 pm to check in. No connecting rooms were provided even after requesting for connecting rooms for multi room booking. Staff were rude on top of not being able to provide rooms on time.

You have to pay for valet or park in the street, breakfast costs extra and you have to pay for it with your reservation can't pay at the front desk. You have to use your key to use elevators and your lights in the room. No balconies or pretty veiws. The bar closes during the day after breakfast, and then closes at 9pm. There are plenty other places to stay for the same price right on the beach with parking and you don't need your key to turn on your room lights!

No hot water.. Tried rooms on 2 floors, luke warm only. Asked neighbor, they had no hot water either…. Unbelievable…. Need a bed & shower.

I stayed at this hotel for one night as I saw Daniel Tish at the Civic Auditorium. Hotel public spaces and room was in good condition. Appeared to be on the newer side. When I went to the bistro to get a bite before heading to the show, there was no chief so they couldn’t make anything.

Amazing property! Driving up to the hotel make it seem like you are pulling up to a 5 star resort. The rooms were very clean and spacious. We stayed at this property as it is walking distance to the beach and the boardwalk, this made our trip headache free and completely relaxing. When we came back in the evening we enjoyed the outdoor pool and the patio with the fire pits! I also used the Spa services which were excellent. We will definitely be coming back to this hotel!

Our room was fantastic. We wished we had been staying longer.
