Leider mussten wir mehr als eine Stunde warten, bis das Zimmer bereit war, obwohl wir angegeben hatten, zu welcher Zeit wir ankommen würden. Als wir das Zimmer endlich beziehen konnten, hatte das Bett Flecken. Immerhin bekamen wir ohne Umstände ein neues Zimmer. Das Frühstücksbuffet war leider enttäuschend.

The location of the hotel is great as we spent our weekend at the beach and the boardwalk which was about a 5min drive. The staff was friendly and helpful, and rooms are spacious and clean. Outdoor heating pool was perfect for my little niece and nephew to swim every night, pool was a little smaller than what I expected but nonetheless it was great!

Breakfast can get a little crowded but its understanding as it was a holiday weekend.

The staff were exceptionally kind and helpful. I really liked the vallet parking service. The hotel felt like a luxury experience at a reasonable price. Their rooms were very clean and well designed and comfortable.

The free breakfast in the mornings, the food selection and portions available were generous. But the food quality was only a six out of 10.

Excellent place in almost every respect, but they don’t have parking that’s not valet, which can be offputting to some folks.

Our room was next to trash so it was loud.

The hotel is about a 16 minute walk from downtown or a quick 5-minute Uber ride for around $8, making it very convenient to get around. The rooms are comfortable, with a cozy bed and a quiet atmosphere. I also appreciated the small touches, such as the pleasantly scented toiletries. The heated pool is a highlight, and the warm towels are a thoughtful addition. However, I was disappointed by the fire pits, which cost $25 per hour to use. This was frustrating since they were a key reason I chose the hotel, and I wasn’t expecting an additional fee on top of an already expensive stay. Valet parking is also required and costs $20. One thing to be aware of is the presence of homeless individuals throughout the city, from downtown to the hotel area, so it’s best to stay mindful when walking. It would also be a nice improvement if the hotel offered complimentary coffee in the lobby until checkout.

Location was pefect. About 1/2 mile walk to Boardwalk. Room was clean (and I mean clean). Loved the vanity in the bathroom, the shelf in the back was great. No noise at all and beds were comfortable. The front desk staff, espcially Gabby, was great. So friendly and helpful. Valet parking was nice too. Recommend staying here if in the area.

Driving from SFO to Carmel after a long flight. Wanted to spend a night so we could take out time exploring the PCH. This Hyatt was a good spot although i would not necessarily choose Santa Cruz to spend a night. It is clean and safe. Staff was very attentive and breakfast is included.

We’ve stayed here before and are very pleased with the rooms, property, and closeness to the Boardwalk. It’s one of the few properties in the area that accommodate 5 people.

This is a lovely hotel but… the cleaners took a bag from the room. It was full of sweets and other items that clearly weren’t rubbish. It was no where near the bin. I think it was a mistake but a very annoying one. The reason I’m annoyed is the at the desk staff said they’d investigate and get back to me. I didn’t expect them to recover the items but they didn’t bother to follow up with me as they said they would, that’s annoying mistakes happen but it’s all about the recovery.

The staff is so friendly and welcoming. The facility is clean, and comfy. The pool water was warm and the jacuzzi although small was wonderful. Their fire pit with smores option is amazing but I wish they would allow past 10pm. Breakfast was good but a few more options would be nice. The rooms were spacious and clean. The bathroom locks are the only downside. Didn’t lock for both rooms I rented. Overall I highly recommend this place while staying in Santa Cruz. Walking distance to the boardwalk and wharf.

I highly recommend this hotel for families with kids. It has a very nice and welcoming atmosphere, and the staff are excellent—friendly, helpful, and attentive. We had a wonderful experience and would definitely stay here again!

The sofa bed was very uncomfortable; we could feel the springs digging into our backs. We had to take turns sleeping 😴

Room was over 2 hours late for our check in time but when I asked for an extra 2 hours for a late checkout they were going to charge us.

The staff is EVERYTHING and the rooms were clean, big and comfortable.

I must have chosen the busiest time to grab breakfast. A lot of people in a very small space...ran out of everything, including silverware and plates, but the staff were incredible, and very patient.

Room was spacious and very clean and comfortable. The location was in an area with housing, but close driving distance to most things in Santa Cruz. I would stay again. We stayed here to go to Moe's Alley for a concert which was a couple of miles away and fairly convenient.

Location is ideal- everything is close by. The beds were comfy and the room was very spacious and clean. The valet staff were a highlight- they always remembered us, engaged in pleasant conversation and were incredibly fast, helpful and friendly.

The staff was genuinely friendly. The parking was easy. The hotel was in great shape. The breakfast was delicious, full of protein options. Big room. Kid friendly. I would bring my family back.

What I would change is the bacon at the chow hall in the morning was shredded. I didn't see the option to chose whole strands of bacon. Other than that the food was great.

Slightly out of the way, it was neither in the Boardwalk area or Downtown. Good if you have a car, but if you are walking it's bit of a trek to get around. Very small bar area, and small breakfast area.

The staff at the hotel were incredibly friendly and helpful, we felt comfortable during our stay and the facilities were great.

Stayed for a couple of nights while visiting Santa Cruz for the first time. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Room was comfortable clean and spacious. Breakfast was hot and tasty with plenty of options. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again in be future.

The hotel is surprisingly located on a residential street, and yet within the block is everything you'd need for your stay (7-11, deli, restaurants, etc.). The easy, short walks to downtown and the wharf actually enhanced my stay. I was able to enjoy the eclectic neighborhood of Victorian architecture alongside Spanish Colonials and Craftsman bungalows which I would have missed had I stayed closer to the water.

The breakfast was good and the valet guys were great!

Disappointed that I checked in early via my phone, got there at 1pm, wasn't given a room until exactly 3pm. Seemed rather arbitrary to make us wait until 3pm. Feels like another money grab, even a a member. Also there was someone screaming at 1am as if they were being murdered. Went on for over 30 minutes. Would have been nice if someone at the hotel would have looked into it.

More amenities in the room. More towels and a dirty laundry bag would’ve been nice.

Sick! AC didn’t work this time and the first time. Thought we gave it a second chance but mistake. The gym AC WAS 80 degrees. Called front desk no one came to fix it. We were already done and no one showed up. Breakfast nothing special. Staff was kind but overall fixing the issue was garbage. Try another place! I’ll take my chances else where! Marriott is up the street!!

This is a convenient location, but the service is severely in need of attention and upgrade. I experienced two staff members who engaged with me iwith a defensive and combative posture, housekeeping needed reminders to service the room and often hadn't completed daily rounds when I returned around 4pm. Especially in peak season, the rates (both cash and World of Hyatt points) are not worth it. Extremely disappointing

I had an amazing time here! The staff were very accommodating and attentive. I wish I got all their names but Venn, Yael, Xochtil to name a few were excellent. Also the valet team made the trip luxurious and less stressful!!

That the trip ended

Reservation center is a complete disaster, called around 1AM and informed them it’s an emergency and I need two rooms ASAP for myself and my family, after verifying multiple times that I needed to check in around 2AM and check out at 4PM, they verified and assured me that everything is okay, as soon as I get the email it’s for the next day, and once I showed up to the property trying to see if they can simply change the date, I was informed that the hotel was fully booked, had to call again and try to fix the issue, I was informed that the nearest availability would be at a property 35 minutes away, I drive the distance and upon checking in I tried to confirm that my check out is at 4 PM, front desk told me that she need to call someone to confirm, since we had an infant and 6 very tired adults, I just wanted to check in and informed the front desk to call in the morning to verify with me, I get a call around 12:30 PM from the assistant manager to inform me that I will be charged a late check out fee, the same fee that the reservation center assured me multiple times that I would not be charged any fee, she wouldn’t even try to call the reservation center to clarify any miscommunication, she told me that they are separate entities, as if they don’t work for the same company!!! I have to go through all the headache because of someone’s incompetence, the Assistant Manager should take the initiative to try to make the situation better, and to top things off after waiting for 45min on hold with the reservation center I get hung up on and they don’t call back.

The quality of the morning coffee could be better. Unfortunately the rooms facing the pool are LOUD - you can hear conversations. I'm glad there is a 10:00pm restriction. Would appreciate it a bit earlier.

Booked 2 rooms with family. I am Globalist with Hyatt and know Hyatt Place is not a full service hotel. My experience checking in. Had to retrieve luggage cart, load luggage from car and then push cart to my room as 2 employees at front desk and 2 valet guys watched me struggle with this. I am a 72 year handicapped senior. Really could have used some help. Summary. Employees lazy. And don't care. 2 Rooms we booked greeted us with a combination of dirty feet, mold and insecticide smells. Wanted to leave right then but would have forfeited 4 nights charges due to cancelation policies. Other issues. Huge black hair front center in bathtub. No way housekeeping could have not seen thst. Summary Cleaning good enough, don't care One electrical.plug in bathroom not working as well as not a single USB charge port worked in rooms or lobby dining room. Summary, lack of maintenance. Breakfast was OK, but no way im eating rotten fruit on display. I brought these issues to the managers attention and received the standard reply. I'm sorry we didn't meet your expectations and we hope to please you next visit. Guarantee There will not be a next time. Summary. Unless you like smelly roomz, Lazy employees and broken room items, STAY AWAY Worst Hyatt I can remember after hundreds of Hyatt stays.

The hotel is very clean and the staff is very friendly.

The breakfast was not as good as the last time we stayed. For this price, we should have real eggs and fresh, warm food. It seemed like a roadside hotel breakfast. Also, the valet parking is ridiculous. The staff was very kind, but we can easily park our car in the garage ourselves. It was an extra expense that was completely unnecessary.

Our family had two rooms on the first floor and they both smelled like mold. Carpets and bedding were dirty in both rooms. Some electrical outlets were not working and one fridge was broken. Hotel staff would not help 70 year old with his luggage.

Room and hotel were very modern, clean, well maintained; room was also nice size. Good breakfast.

There were several people enjoying the pool area (good); however, they were very noisy and we could constantly hear them from about 7pm to 10pm (not so good). Seems like the staff could've asked them to keep it down.

The bed was premium and comfy. The breakfast spread kept stocked and the coffee was GOOD BEANS. I feel I would stay here again.

The limited hours for the pool , but the noise is probably the reason. Also valet only was interesting bc we tended to leave stuff in the car and had to bother someone to retrieve it.
