Bowmont Motel

Great location for the lake and tourist activities. Large bedroom/living space with a separate kitchen. We were very comfortable. We had the use of a lovely outdoor pool. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

Loved the location and layout. Kitchen had everything we needed, barbecues available. Pool area clean enjoyed. Quaint and dated, but loved the updated floors instead of carpet. There were several families enjoying games in the courtyard surrounded by picnic tables. Gas firepit to sit around in the evening.

Only complaint is the bed was a little hard, but not sagging, so it was ok for a couple nights.

This is our second stay at the Bowmont. Great place in penticton super location a block from the beach and other activities. The pool is a real plus. Staff are very pleasant and helpful.

Value is below any hotel in my Canadian travels. What I got for what I paid was below par.

Was good location, when we first arrived our room wasn’t ready So they upgraded us to a premium suite and we loved it, will go back!!

Amazing front desk and guest service Room so clean and welcoming Perfect for wheel chair accessibility in the room we stayed at. Room 120 which we needed. Extra wide doors. lots of space. Great bathroom with perfect shower for wheel chair needs. ramp up into the room. Extra large parking space assigned specifically for the room. Lovely pool area with bbq and tables/chairs for eating under cover. Bathrooms right at the pool area. Can’t say more about this place. Definitely will be returning. .

Great location — makes the strip very walkable! Everyone is so kind, the courtyard and pool are fantastic. Will be coming back every year!

Close to the beach and all amenities. Front desk was really accommodating and nice. I would recommend it to my friends and family. It’s our second time to stay here. I would go back again next year.

The location to the beach

There should of been more room attendees, to clean your room during the stay , since it is PEAK season.

The rooms were a good size, beds were good, the location is great 2 minutes walk to the beach and restaurants etc. Friendly staff, liked we could sit on the balcony and watch the kids play in the pool. It was obvious a motel which many families use as a yearly get together place, there were lots going on in the common area in the evenings, which we were fine about, but don't expect a quiet and private stay.

The rooms, especially the kitchen was very outdated and barely have what you need for a simpel breakfast. We had to change room for our 2 day stay as our first room was booked on our second night, something we were not informed about when we booked. We were also not the only ones this happened to. In the end it was ok, the staff moved our bags to the new room while we were out in the day, and this room was actually better fitted than the first one, and with a newer aircondition that wasn't as noisy.

Great place. So cute and colorful. Very clean. Nice staff. Clean pool. Quiet. Close to the beach. We got an upgrade to a kitchenette that had everything you would need. Even coffee. Great price. Definitely try it out!

What a wonderful place to stay. We stayed in an economy Queen room. It had a full kitchen, separate from bed/TV. We had a large deck with chairs and table. It was retro feeling, clean and well kept. The pool area was wonderful, had sun and shade, lots of chairs, loungers. Had floaties for children. There is an outdoor bbq area and eating area. Very central to beach, restaurants and the Penticton River Float.

We’ve been coming to this motel for the last 12 years and we absolutely love it! We were just recently there for candidate day weekend and they put on a big celebration and fed everyone. It was a great experience.

Great location but dirty. House keeping service needs supervision. Crumbs on the floor and sticky countertops. Dirty headboard and stained furniture. I cancelled an upcoming reservation here for another property

Really enjoyed staying here. It’s great for families, a large barbecue area (very clean) and covered patio to eat and sit at evenings. Close to the beach and Loco Landing. The motel itself is a little old but very clean. The owners go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible and are just generally very nice.

the overall experience. it was like traveling back in time. Loved the retro fit of the furniture in the room and layout.

Just a basic motel, looks old. Tiny TV. Noisy AC. Visited in summer, so the price was through the roof for such a basic establishment.

Wonderful little oasis for family holidays. Varinder, his wife and the rest of the staff are great to deal with, and any problem is quickly rectified. Would highly recommend!

Older hotel, but staff is really trying to make it hip. Had free icecream one night, and a free barbecue to celebrate Canada Day. Great location. Our room was surprisingly larger than expected.

We love coming here! …the Manager Verender and his family are always so welcoming and kind…...the amenities are great for families (barbecues, pool , hot tub, courtyard, kitchens). Located so close to Okanogan lake, Loco Landing (Amusement park), ice cream, and restaurants. We always come over the Canada Day week and enjoy the festivities in the area.

the smell of smoke in the rooms, but I think they are in the middle of renovations. The carpets hold the smoke.

We've been coming to Bowmont for a family vacation for over a decade. Always love their location, friendly atmosphere, pool, and self-selve BBQ area where we can grill and bbq and enjoy meals on the patio. This year, we enjoyed our stay again. With new management, the tradition of relaxing family atmosphere, well maintained space continues on plus added new fun like DJ party dance. We are looking forward to coming again and again.

We stayed three nights at Bowmont Motel. The staff were amazing, the rooms and beds were clean and super comfortable. The outside facilities were also excellent, clean bbqs and very well maintained swimming pool and area. All in all we can’t fault the place and we will be back for longer next time.

Great stay as usual. Room was spotless, bed was comfortable. Great pool but was not as warm as last year. I love the retro look and feel they have been able keep. Only complaint was our room was not ready until 5pm. We will be back. Love Penticton!

This place is the Best. The motel reminds you of the 60’s and that is a GOOD thing! The rooms are nice and clean and the family that owns the place are be on great! The pool looks like it from Palm Springs. Can’t said enough about this place!

We had a wonderful experience!! Beautiful pool and hot tub. Plus a great central bbq patio area for everyone to use. Rooms are clean and staff are friendly and helpful. We will be back!!

We've been hosting our family reunion here for the last 4 years, and we love coming back each time. The pool and patio make for a great family space that we can all socialize and eat in. The kids love the pool and courtyard for playing in all day, and there's lots of great activities and restaurants nearby to keep them busy too. The staff are all very friendly and super helpful, well run place for sure.

I stayed at the Bowmont Motel for a week while attending a bridge tournament. The staff were very kind and helpful, my room was clean, and the beds and pillows were extremely comfortable. We even enjoyed a barbecue and live music at the end of the week. I had a wonderful stay and will definitely come again!

The staff were fantastic, friendly and helpful. They left a happy birthday sign, balloons, card and bottle of wine for my Mom's birthday which was very kind. Everything was spotlessly clean, the pools was lovely and the outdoor kitchen with barbecues was great.

The furniture needs to be replaced and the rooms need a paint job but the beds are comfortable and the linens were good quality.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this property. The room was clean and comfortable overall. The staff were warm, welcoming, and always willing to help, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The peaceful and relaxing atmosphere provided a wonderful place to unwind, making my stay both comfortable and memorable.

I especially loved the property’s location. It was within easy walking distance of the lake and several other attractions, making it convenient to explore the area and enjoy the beautiful surroundings without needing to drive.

This family run family friendly resort was an absolute treat to find! Great size pool and communal bbq area, super clean large rooms, and everyone was helpful and friendly.

Great location and close to beach, local shops pubs and restaurants. Pool is awesome and the staff is friendly and helpful. The Bowmont is an excellent place for families and has lots to offer….even a lounge area with BBQs. The Bowmont is our place to go every-time when in Penticton. The are always adding updates to the rooms and property over the winter months for us to enjoy over the summer. Value is OK but most places are pricey in the peak summer months. Rooms are very clean with comfortable beds and most one with kitchens and some are two bedrooms. The noise level is pretty good and we find the place quiets down around 11 pm so not much noise at all. The retro style is pretty cool, if you are looking for fancy…this isn’t the place but it’s clean, fun and the location is excellent. Varinder and crew do an amazing job. Management lives on site which is excellent.

Room had no sound barrier, we got very little sleep. there was also no dead bolt or chain to secure room from the inside which made me nervous as a solo parent travelling alone with a child.

Our 8th annual trip team cycling trip to the Bowmont in Penticton and as always, a fantastic time had by all. Friendly staff, awesome pool and barbeque area too…. Perfect location close to the lake and restaurants.

Kleine service dingen die niet werden gedaan (5nachten verbleven en er is niet 1x aangeboden of wij schone handdoeken wilde, schoongemaakt kon worden of iets), geen compleet bestek & argwanend worden aangekeken als je om een 3e vork vraagt als je met 3 pers bent, gaten in de gordijnen met een buitenlicht wat 24h aan blijft staan is een lichtte kamer. 'Buren' die onder je balkon zitten te blowen.. Misschien hebben wij net pech gehad, maar service had echt beter gekund!

I didnt like the beds not being made and room not clean when we got there. But they switched us rooms and the front staff even helped with bags to transfer to new room.

I got in late and thankfully these kind people opened the office to let me in and gave me a great deal on a large room.

Good location, not on the waterfront so less crowded and not noisy. But within 3 minute walk to the beach or the river walk. And close to restaurant, including franchise eateries. Clean, comfortable and utilitarian. Lots of room to set up and pack up bikes on a bike trip. Came with a full kitchen (cook top, oven, m/wave, fridge-freezer to rustle up a breakfast or dinner) - as long as you have the ingredients.

The only thing was it could do with blinds on the windows leading out to the pool as there was no privacy

The Premium Courtyard rooms are spacious with a separate bedroom, living area and kitchen, making it easy to work remotely during our stay. The courtyard is comfortable and chill for hanging out with lots of shade. Rishita & team are amazing, and do a great job to make sure you have everything you need.

Great value for the price. The room was clean and the size was quite spacious. The hotel is definitely a bit old and could use some renovations, but overall it was comfortable for our stay. Unfortunately, we didn’t have time to use the pool or BBQ area, but they looked nice. We would be happy to stay here again in the future.

Nice little hotel. Lots of rooms, and amenities. The staff is super friendly and always willing to help. Rooms and hotel aesthetic may not be everybody's cup of tea but it is still lovely if you can appreciate the uniqueness of it. Also pet friendly which is a huge plus!

The kitchen in the room. Though the oven amd cooking stove is old and the microwave, but its functional and you can cook for your family while on vacation. And the fridge is massive, way bigger than those expensive hotels.

this is an old neglected hotel it doesn't look at all like it is advertised in the photos the smell is horrible the furniture and kitchen appliances look terrible. Unfortunately, we only noticed these things after checking in, but we immediately cancelled this hotel and moved to another hotel.Anyone who is even a little picky should avoid this hotel very, very far.I really can't recommend it to anyone.
