Provider-sourced guest reviews.
Loved the funky decor, bar downstairs, the superb gym area & the pool, which, though small, is absolutely fab & unique. Space was tight in our bedroom but we knew beforehand it would be small as it was the cheapest. Location is also brill, just 4 mins walk from Eyre Square, shops & pubs.
We had dinner at the rooftop restaurant & the food was shockingly bad. An overcooked & tasteless pasta ragu was especially awful. I’ve eaten in The Dean in Dublin & food was always good. I’ve rarely given a restaurant a bad review but, honestly, this was so bad that I feel it necessary to warn others. For the prices charged it was unforgivably bad.
Boutique hotel with style
The room was TINY, no where to put your clothes and very over priced for the size and amenities.
The hotel was in a good location near attractions. They accommodated our late check out request.
Our room was very small and adjacent to an outdoor bar which was noisy at night.
Proximité avec le centre, hôtel classe et joliment décoré. Personnel sympathique, très bonne literie.
Mauvaise insonorisation des châssis donnant sur la rue.
Location and cleanliness
Cost, did not deserve the price! Grossly over priced
Decor
Had booked 2 rooms , one a twin which wasn’t when we got there , double bed . Told there was a wedding and might be noise until 12am. At 4am had to go to reception as phone wasn’t working to ask another room to keep noise down . Was told on checkout manager would contact . No contact to date . Deposit taken at check in , waiting on return
Staff was terrific across the board.
Beautiful quirky rooms with lovely touches
Location and restaurant downstairs
Only one socket working in bedroom. Very limited storage for clothes. Bathroom very dark
love the pool. The bedroom and ensuites are gorgeous
The price
I loved every second of this hotel it was beautiful and staff where amazing such gorgeous design and so clean
Nothing I loved every second of my stay in the dean Galway and have already recommended it to friends
Direkte Lage an viel befahrener Straße
Cleanliness, location.
The room was on the small side, not much room for 2 suitcases.
The Room , Swimming pool and the Location.
Stylish decor, pool and roofbar
Room slightly small for cost
There was no hair dryer, however strangely there was a hair straightener. It worked ok, but might not work for all people and hair types. Dryers are usually a standard.
The pool and the friendly staff
Didn’t get bath robes or slippers . Not a big problem
Front of house staff good. Check in people helpful
False advertising. There is nothing cosy about the Cosy room, unless cosy means too small. One aide of tiny supposedly double bed against the wall is impractical. Blind did not close out the daylight in the morning. The mattress was smaller than the bed frame, banged my leg a number of times on the wooden frame. The bedside table was a tiny stool with a soft vinyl top. Coffee machine worked for one morning only. Hot water tap in basin stopped, then after a period of time worked. Lights were too dim, hard to iron a shirt for next morning in the gloomy room, 3 clothes hangers and couple of wall rails is inadequate for anyone staying more than one night or maybe an hour or two. Breakfast was average. Hard potatoes, tough chewy muffins in Eggs Benedict, bargain basement orange juice with ice in a small glass so tiny amount of juice, daft salt sellars... generally a very poor hotel.
The staff and facilities were excellent. Hannah was very helpful and friendly in the gym and the room was lovely. The restaurant was also lovely too.
Faultless
the room was perfect and the girl at the bar downstairs with the glasses was so lovely
Loved the pool and steam room. Bedroom decor was nice though not a patch on the Harcourt Street one in Dublin.
The staff (except the cleaning staff)weren’t very welcoming. Umbrellas could be RENTED. Ridiculous in Galway. Everything was ‘extra’ - juice with breakfast, toast, more coffee etc. No ‘cead míle fáilte’ at all. Disappointing experience especially as we brought 2 French couples with us and hoped they’d enjoy the place. Won’t be back.
The shower was gorgeous! The front desk receptionists were amazing! They were super friendly with lots of information. Very helpful! The hallway was pretty and the big window looking down to the pool was nice.
Bartenders - the first night we asked if the kitchen was still open, it was about 21:00 and the bartender looked over at it and said no. We continued to see several items go out the window to tables. Maybe they were catching up from a rush and didn’t want more orders as it was close to kitchen close, but he was pretty rude about it. The second time we went the bartender was gruff and didn’t seem to know the menu. I decided it would be a good time to ask him how he was doing and started a chat. He loosened up a little but was still pretty negative. There were a couple of things that were broken in the bath area. Things just seemed to be falling apart. The recycling center below our window was LOUD and annoying at times. Our window latch and seal was broken so it couldn’t be closed very tight.
Location was fantastic. For the price, I was pleasantly surprised that being so close to everything there was no compromise on the rooms and amenities. I was fully prepared to have the tiniest, cramped room after booking the smallest and cheapest option, but it was great and perfect for what we needed considering we spent most of our time out and about. Particularly loved the bed and the bathroom. The pool was also a lovely surprise!! Much cleaner and luxurious than I was expecting!!
There was an odd smell in the lobby the 3 days we were there. Also the room could have done with a bit more lighting.
Easy to check in and out and the food in both restaurants was awesome
Liked the decor
No space to put your clothes.
Great location lovely decor
Clean, comfortable, nice decor
Noise from the street
The hotel is stunning. The scent they have diffused throughout the space is amazing, really sets the tone. Great location and they have a useful partnership with a local parking facility which is a huge help to travellers coming by car.
Wish the gym facility was accessible 24h for guests. Having complimentary bottled water in rooms would also be a great addition.
Piscine très petite, 2 transats se battent en duel , sauna bondé … au prix de la chambre j’ai profité 10min de l’espace spa…donc déçu cela devait être deux nuit détente avec un spa dont je n’ai pas pu profité
Nice hotel close to city center. Excellent staff! Nice coffee shop in the hotel.
Room was too small with no wardrobe.
Amazing decor! The pool and gym were unlike any I’ve ever experienced. They had a cold plunge, heated pool, sauna and steam room. I’ve been to 5 star hotels that didn’t even come close to matching that. The gym was state of the art! The staff were so kind and helpful.
Nothing!

Everything
I like how the staffs are hospitable and nice. I also loved the fact that it’s a walking distance to the center and the train station. Aside from that, the food and beverage were excellent!!
Nothing. I love everything!
Nice room
Doesn't provide breakfast
Loved the rooftop breakfast.
Food service was slow. No nespresso pods in my room.
Very funky rooms. Excellent location.
Nothing.
Outdoor pool, sauna, cold plunge bath was amazing
Ate in the roof top restaurant, had steak for main course, a little disappointed given the cost. Some tables were extremely close to the next.
All of the staff were so welcoming and friendly. The heated pool was gorgeous, you can order drinks directly to the pool. Got upgraded to the double room which was gorgeous. Room was spotless and the whole place is beautiful. 2 dinner spots inside the hotel aswel and both were delish!! Couldn’t recommend more.
Great lifestyle hotel with friendly and welcoming front-of-house staff. Conveniently located, just a 10-minute walk from both the train station and the centre of town.
As a female traveller, I would have appreciated having an additional lock or security latch on the inside of the room door for added peace of mind. It was race weekend, so I appreciate that the hotel was likely busier and noisier than usual. However, better soundproofing would be worth considering. We could hear people using the pool until it closed, and there was also noise in the early hours from guests returning after a night out. Unfortunately, this meant that the overall sleep quality was not great.
Loved interiors , the vibe , beautifull smell once insife the door , food was delicious !! Bed huge and super comfy , so close to eyre sq
Would have liked a wardrobe x
Wonderful pool & facilities Cosy snug bar at night
Super schöne Unterkunft mit vielen Designaspekten welche das Auge ruhen lässt. Kleines schnuddeliges Bad im Innenhof.
Alles perfekt
Made this our base for three nights in Galway while driving out during the days to tour the Burren and Connemara. Absolutely no complaints. It’s conveniently located to walk to Galway’s sights without being in the middle of the crowded center of town, the hotel itself is hip, modern, and clean. Fast Wifi and plenty of outlets for charging devices, plugging in phones, etc. Central A/C works well. Staff are friendly and helpful. The in-house restaurant is tasty and (for a hotel restaurant) fairly reasonably priced. We were on the 1st floor (above the lobby) and the only noise we heard was Galway’s numerous seagulls. The only (small) downside is that the hotel has no parking garage — the nearest parking is at a multi-story parking structure about a 5-7 minute walk away. However, if you have mobility issues, or are a large group lugging multiple big suitcases, that might be a slight issue. My spouse and I are light travelers, so no problem for us. We’ll definitely stay here again if we return to Galway.
Nice gym! We had a room upgrade which tells me we paid too much or it was cause the room they gave us was on the main floor but toward the back which was fine. We were happy to get a bigger room.
Upon arriving checked it took the bags in but we were never explained the where the gym/pool was and how to get to there. They were happy to sell us on the restaurant and mini bar but not tell us about the included amenities. Also the hot tub could have been a little warmer. Parking garage was a bit too far and when we left are parking was not valid properly.
The location is fantastic with it's proximity to Eyre square. The shower however, is the nicest shower I've experienced. And my partner said the same. Also very clean
We stayed for two nights and, unfortunately, the experience didn't live up to the price. Towels were scarce, and we had to request fresh ones despite only staying for two nights. The dressing gowns were standard fabric rather than towelling robes and looked a little worn. The room itself was quite small, with very limited storage, meaning we had to live out of our suitcases for the duration of our stay. There wasn't even an iron in the room, which was surprising at this price point. For me, luxury is in the attention to detail, and this is where the hotel fell short. The minibar included a miniature bottle of champagne, yet there wasn't a champagne glass in the room. We had to wait quite a while for one to be delivered, which took away from the experience. The hotel is undoubtedly stylish and trendy, but I wouldn't describe it as luxurious. We booked the night before, so the high price reflected convenience rather than value. At nearly €1,000 for two nights, I expected a much higher standard of comfort and service. In my opinion, there are several hotels in Galway that offer a more comfortable stay at a much more reasonable price. While it's located a little further from the city centre, I found the Connacht Hotel to provide better comfort and value, while still offering easy access to Galway and the races.
Good location, clean. Well equipped. Excellent restaurant.
Small room, no storage space
Did not like bar ect on top floor @ restaurants
Room very noisy at night storage facility very poor very bad odour from bathroom on sat Sunday I was told there tg wasent fixeduntil Tuesday overall stay wasent great

Nothing
It was cozy. Really clean. The shower was unbelievable!
Arrived and were told to give a €50 deposit that we were unaware of incase we used the mini bar. Didn’t touch the minibar and have to wait days for my deposit back :( People should only be charged after if they take anything or else it should be part of the price!!
Everything
Corridor noisy at night with late night people returning.
Great location. Only a couple of blocks from city center. Very cool place. Retro vibe. Staff was wonderful. Everything was clean. Truly enjoyed every minute. Would definitely stay again.
