Sea Edge Beachside Hotel

The location is beautiful! We arrived long after dark so in the morning we were very pleased to have such a stunning Ocean view to wake up to. The property had loads of amenities such as outdoor fire pits, bbq and games which unfortunately we did not take advantage of. We liked the comfortable king bed. The rain shower in the bathroom was wonderful. The free mini golf at nearby “paradise mini-golf” was a wonderful bonus.

The toilets are so small. I would have liked a spot to open my suitcase. The slide was closed for painting which was sad.

Die Lage direkt am Strand hat uns besonders gut gefallen, und dass es eine kleine Anlage mit nur ca 40 Einheiten ist. Es waren überwiegend Familien da und es war angenehm ruhig. Die vorhandenen Grills draußen konnten von jedem benutzt werden. Im benachbarten Paradise Beach konnte man umsonst Minigolf spielen und es gibt u.a. einen Billiardtisch, Schaukeln für Kinder und ein Volleyballfeld. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Die Küchenausstattung könnte besser sein. Es gab nur 2 Wasser- und 4 Weingläser. Die Pfanne hätte längst ausgetauscht werden müssen.

It’s all good.

All staff welcoming and accommodating. Perfect location on the beach. Central in Parksville yet property very quiet as every room faces the beach. Steps from Parksville Community Park with waterfront boardwalk. Older property but thoughtfully renovated. Very charming. Plenty of parking. Rooms well designed. Well appointed kitchenette with large fridge and sink. Appreciate the Nespresso machine! Shared amenities a bonus. Rec room with pool table, board games and coffee machine. Outdoor barbecues and lots of tables on shared patio. 2 gazebo with patio couches and propane fire pit was such a nice touch as there is a wood fire ban in place in the region. Tons of picnic tables on beach. Many outdoor games to play like corn hole, ladder ball, swing set and volleyball. Great for both couples and families. I would recommend couples stay on 2nd floor and families on ground floor.

Wish we could have stayed longer! :)

Die beiden Schlafzimmer waren sehr klein, im einen hatte es nicht einmal Platz für die Koffer. Im anderen Zimmer hat das kleine Queensize-Bett (für zwei Personen), bei jeder kleinsten Bewegung geknarrt, so dass wir nicht gut geschlafen haben.

We were not greeted at checkin and shown the facilitiesor where everything was situated! The manager or staff at no stage connected or talked to us that 6 people. We weren't told the rooms weren't serviced despite having a door notice telling us otherwise.

The suite that I reserved and paid for was not available upon our arrival. We were given a smaller, less expensive room. Wheel chair access unavailable to office, to many amenities attached to office.

Location was great

Units (called cabins) were not cabins at all, but were very tightly arranged next to each other. Poorly equipped kitchen. Overall, really overpriced.

Avoid unit 107-no privacy Rex (reception) and Megan (spa) are extremely personable and professional.

Located on Parksville Main Street - extremely busy; yes, I should have considered that before booking but I didn’t 🤷🏼‍♀️this review serves as a heads up to others.

Can not beat the location. Stayed here over 40 yrs with my parents and again in the last two years. Have done amazing update to property with gazebo s and gas fireplaces on the beach,great lounge area with large screen TV, coffee etc machine and super friendly staff.

Super Lage am Strand. Zimmer sehr schön mit guten betten cool ist auch das kostenlose Minigolf spielen auf der Anlage in der Nähe des Hotels.

We loved the location, looking out at the beach and islands. Easy to get around town too. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend it to others and it would be good for families too.

There was no coat rack or coat hangers in our room. No where to hang our coats, shirts, or blouses. Would be a nice addition to have another mirror outside of the bathroom for others to use when the bathroom is in use. No in room coffee maker. Would also be nice to have a small table on the balcony.

I have stayed here before but was so pleasantly surprised at all the incredible updates and upgrades. I was greeted by a very courteous gentleman checking me in on Tuesday June 23rd at 4:00 ( I apologize for not remembering his name ) and later he called my room to make sure everything was up to my satisfaction. ( Loved this little detail ) When I opened the door I was immediately on cloud nine ....air conditioning was the best surprise!!!! I went straight to the balcony , open the sliding door and bug proof screen, sat down on the provided Adirondack chairs and looked out into the most beautiful ocean view with a beach that seemed to go on forever. The room was beautiful and the king size bed super comfy. When I checked out, Nick was amazing!!! He took the time to show me the 2 bedroom cabins for my future trip with my kids and little granddaughter. They will love it. Fantastic experience!!!!!

I was happy with everything although the mini fridge could have been just a little bigger as I had a lot of groceries and did not bring an extra cooler, but I managed. Was still great!!

Room not ready at 4pm check in, housekeeping left the floor fairly wet after mopping, the screen door wasn't working properly, AC was loud and inconsistent, bedding wasn't comfortable, the grounds had bunny poop everywhere, the have astro-turf everywhere.

Loved the beachside location. Also it was clean and comfortable.

The location is unreal! Great staff! Rooms are equipped with everything you need. Barbecues and outdoor areas with comfy seats., table top fires. Pool table big screen tv and seating area inside.

Tolles Hotel, direkt am Strand gelegen. Man kann von den Erdgeschoß Zimmern direkt aus dem Zimmer an den Strand laufen. Tolle Ausstattung, wurde im letzten Jahr wohl renoviert

Everything. Room was immaculate, but the scenery was fabulous. The room had a sliding back door….water was there, and bunnies everyday. I could live there.

The amount of peace and quiet is totally dependent on the neighbouring visitors. Some people can be very loud, with crying kids and blasting tv, but it’s wonderful to be able to go out front to the picnic tables and beach for a break from the noise

The room is spacious, clean, comfortable and, the view of the bay is beautiful.

The walls are quite thin. We can hear our neighbors, especially constant footsteps from people on the floor above us. Check-in process was slow because there's only one person working. The hotel needs more staff to deal with problems beyond the Check-in process.

Eine kleinere Anlage, die sich wohltuend von den übrigen abhebt. Tolles und sehr freundliches Personal. Schöne direkte Lage am Strand mit Blick aus der großen Fensterfront. Gut gepflegt, so dass man kaum merkt, dass die Anlage schon etwas älter ist. Geschäfte und Restaurants schnell zu Fuß zu erreichen.

Geschirr vielleicht etwas beschränkt, für einen kurzen Aufenthalt allerdings kein Problem.

Beautiful area, close to all amenities. Staff were absolutely amazing. Cabin looked exactly as shown in the pictures and was equipped with all the necessities. So many wonderful hiking trails close by. Would definitely stay here again.

Vinyl floor on entrance to the rooms is badly coming apart. Downspouts are smashed in.

I've been to the property twice before but not since it underwent renovations in 2025. They have done a terrific job. It looks and feels luxurious from the comfortable bed, to the kitchenette, the leather sofa, the big screen TV and the bathroom with heated mirror, panhead walk-in shower and excellent skin and hair products. The veranda is covered in a soft artificial turf-like material and is soft and cozy under bare feet. The views of the beach and ocean are stupendous from the veranda. There is a comfortable lounge with pool table and delicious, complementary coffee adjacent to the registration office.

We weren't sure about the use of multi-ply toilet tissues vs. a roll. A bit awkward to use but I'm sure we could have gotten used to it. The tissue material was strong enough.

The location was beautiful. Right on the beach and close to restaurants in town as well. The room was clean and well-equipped.

Our room wasn't ready when we checked in at 4:00 p.m. I thought the desk staff was going to call me when it was ready, but I didn't get a call. It wasn't a big problem - everything was fine when we went back about an hour later. I wouldn't let this stop you from booking here though!

We had a large group of people for a family gathering. They were very accommodating and we had a fantastic time. Wish we could keep it all to ourselves but its too good not to share. Special shout out to Jufer who was incredible. We will be back!

Just returned from an amazing 3 night stay at Sea Edge, and I have to say I am thoroughly impressed!! We came with our minor hockey team, and everyone was absolutely thrilled with this hotel. We usually stay at the Beach Club next door, but honestly this place was even better! The rooms and the views were incredible, but even more amazing was all the indoor and outdoor gathering areas! There is a fully stocked indoor lounge, and tons of seating areas, gazebos, picnic areas, fire pits, all looking out onto the beautiful beach. The staff were absolutely wonderful, constantly cleaning and checking in on us. The rooms had everything we could possibly need. The prices were really reasonable. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Thank you Sea Edge, we will be back!!

Reasonably priced for a last minute stay! They did a good job with the renovations. It’s an amazing location with tons of amenities near by and on site. Beautiful view and easy direct access to the beach. We loved the fire pits and all the cool games, BBQ area gazebos and lounge. Finnish steam room near by.

As someone who is a professional cleaner, it was very good. One or two things they should have splurged on the renovation is a spray shower wand instead of fixed ones. It makes it much easier for the staff to clean the shower/tub properly. Everything was great but the shower curtain had a slight mildew smell. Also additional sound proofing would have been a benefit as you can hear the water in the pipes after someone upstairs uses the facilities. We wish there was a couple pet friendly rooms as our dog would have loved the easy beach access :)

The bed was comfortable and the location right on the beach was amazing. The check in host was very welcoming and it appeared like he was quite busy handling people’s needs. Check in and out was fast. The towel was a large bath sheet which was great. There was a sauna outside that we didn’t partake in on the property and some fire pits which looked nice. There was a games area inside and a big coffee machine and seating. I believe I saw a pool table as well. Lots to do!

I wasn’t fond of the fake grass turf they used outside to cover walk ways. I think they could use a higher end product for their walkways.

The location right on the beach is fantastic and the recent renovations to the property are very nice. The staff were very nice and super helpful. Its very comfortable and quiet and private on the deck.

Location is top notch and we loved the mini golf.

I expected a stand alone structure, which is typically what a cabin or villa would be. These cabins were rooms (crates?) attached to each other with fairly thin walls so you heard everything and they were not spacious. Also, entry was through a single patio door with a single horizontal roll down blind on it, so it’s like staying in a fish bowl where everyone can watch or be completely shut out.

The downstairs rooms had no privacy without having the blinds pulled down which then gave you no view. People walking past to the beach etc had free view into the downstairs rooms

King size bed with only one night table and lamp.should be 2 night table and lamps. Also the tiny bedroom, very difficult to manage for seniors.

Rooms nicely updated, great grass area, BBQ, and picnic tables. Free mini golf was a hit with my son. Nice lounge area coffee and a pool table.

Ants in the bathroom and some cobwebs, could hear the crosswalk signal and traffic at night.
