We had booked for 4 adults and the room given was so small with one double bed and another foldable bed whilst the the last was a mattress to sleep on the ground in a single room this type of arrangement I haven’t seen in my entire life So much so the staff weren’t bothered. Washrooms were smelly and the rooms are worn out the photos are not recent ones I myself took some photos

Reviewed Aug 11, 2026Le sol était propre, le linge de lit et la serviette aussi. La douche fonctionnait ( j’avais trop chaud pour tester l’eau chaude donc je ne sais pas si elle fonctionnait). J’avais besoin d’une bouilloire pour prendre mes médicaments avec de l’eau chaude. Je l’avais spécifié lors de ma réservation ( payée d’avance sur Booking depuis la France ), puis trois jours avant d’arriver, mais une fois sur place, pas de bouilloire. J’ai insisté, insisté et j’ai fini par craquer car j’étais épuisé par un très long trajet en bus. Finalement, le manager en a acheté une pour 700 roupies et comme j’ai culpabilisé je lui ai donné 500 roupies pour utiliser la bouilloire trois jours…
l’hôtel est situé dans un endroit sale et lugubre. De la fenêtre ( peinte qui ne laisse rentrer la lumière du jour que si on l’ouvre !!) on voit un petit canal rempli d’eau croupie et de détritus et qui sent très mauvais. Devant l’hôtel de la boue partout car il y a un chantier. Le restaurant le plus proche est à dix minutes à pieds mais la rue est sombre et ensuite il faut traverser une immense route à double voie en risquant sa vie car les voitures ne s’arrêtent pas. Il n’est donc pas possible de dîner. Le couloir de l’hôtel est sale ( j’étais au 3 eme et j’empruntais les escaliers): des assiettes sales traînent devant les portes . Evidemment, il n’y a ni papier toilette, ni thé, ni café … Enfin, les touristes indiens qui logeaient à mon étage étaient extrêmement bruyants ,sans gêne ,laissant leurs portes ouvertes et ils hurlaient au téléphone et entre eux. Résultat: mon « pire hôtel » avec Rameswaram en deux mois de voyage à sac à dos à travers le Tamil Nadu ( et pourtant je voyage en Asie depuis 30 ans toujours à sac à dos et je ne suis pas si exigeante … Cela étant comme je n’ai payé que 10€ la nuit , je ne me permets pas de mettre moins de 6/10.

basic things like oil, shampoo, was not there. but only soap was there. They will clean the rooms during their scheduled time and we have to give the room keys else the rooms will not be cleaned until we check out. . so we gave the keys n left. if there were facility to clean the rooms in the evening or some flexi time, it would be good.

The only minus of this hotel is the location which is deep inside from the main road. Getting a transport is difficult unless you get the hotel to assist you. Walking distance to the main road but not for the elderly or families.

Few maintenance for regular service like dining hall fan needs to be bearing change. Water fitting is leaking a very little you can just simply fix it and save water for environment.
