Some staff came across rude, hot tub facility was not working and we was informed before or on the day of stay.

Fantastic hotel, staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful (especially the black gentleman at reception). Our room was spacious, very clean , with very nice modern decor. The beds were very comfy, and there were extra pillows in the cupboard. Also loved that the hotel is eco-consious and they had very large bottles in the shower (instead of small ones) and at the sink, as well as little notes encouraging guests to consider using towels more than once. We enjoyed an evening drink in the bar downstairs, which had very nice modern decor and we could appreciate the buildings industrial aesthetic too (the building is a converted old mill/factory I think, with added modern elements).

It’s quite basic , no thrills , what you would expect from a budget hotel but it’s done very well ,clean with a great shower, comfortable lighting and mattress The staff were super nice and friendly. They had a nice bar with bar snacks and ice cream and the breakfast was super. Loads of choices I’d definitely recommend this hotel

Easy check in, everything is very up to date as new hotel, lovely vibe around everywhere and the rooms. Breakfast was lovely and fresh and tasty. Staff were so nice and helpful.

Parking was not available on arrival even at the cost stated. We found alternative parking for cheaper that what the hotel offered.

The hotel looks very impressive and appears to have undergone a major recent renovation. The hotel has its own restaurant Great breakfast selection Clean and well-maintained room

The bed was wobbly and squeaked. There were issues with the invoice that I had to resolve after returning home. Small car park; parking must be reserved in advance and costs £20 per night.

What's not to like.

Parking limitations due to capacity leaves guests having to park elsewhere.

The location is fine, but does generally require an onward taxi journey to get to your desired evening/night-time location. The bed was very comfortable (see below for the exception). Not being made to feel uncomfortable by housekeeping for overlaying (see below), or charged any extra either on check-out.

That the bedroom faced on to the noisy main road outside the hotel and one of the room keys didn't work, both of which led to overlaying in the morning (see above). There are so few parking spaces on site.

The staff were wonderful, so helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Even the restaurant maitre d finding me a safety pin because I'd lost the button on my wedding dress! Breakfast was excellent, everything was so tasty and so much choice.

Pillows were a little soft. But I'm used to a pillow like a brick, so it's not surprising.

The location and decor is fabulous, and the staff are super friendly and helpful. My room was very quiet and had everything I needed for a one night stay.

The bathroom needs a refresh. The shower smelt of damp and the taps were showing signs of wear and tear.

The staff in reception were hopeless. It took 5 emails to book a car park space. When we arrived at the car park park and spoke on the intercom no one answered. We had to leave the car and walk to reception.

This was our second stay and we loved the hotel just as much as the first time. The staff are so friendly and welcoming; the room was spacious and the shower design outstanding. Food at breakfast and at dinner was lovely. The location was perfect - walking distance to the town and to the station.

Car parking here is a real issue !! I was booked in again for the weekend of the 11th of September until the 14th but not sure this will go ahead as there is no parking spaces left for me to park ! The car park should be for hotel guests only , not for those attending match day rugby matches , were rugby fans too and that’s why we use the hotel but I don’t think I should have to park 3 minutes away and be expected to wheel my luggage to the hotel due to no spaces that are just booked for the day !! I am also disabled as I have problems with my feet and knees so it’s not viable .

Location was good for King Power stadium and football match we were attending.

Spent 24 hours before arrival trying to call and no-one answered or answered my email. Only 20 parking spaces for 200 rooms and as was match day nearest car park was 15 mins walk in opposite direction to stadium (staff acknowledged it's ridiculous for expensive hotel). Bedroom had hideously noisy fan even though air con turned off that randomly turned on and off through night. Breakfast was mediocre at best.

Central car parking (if you can get it - I could - security. Room functional. Oh choice of teas.

A shame that a hotel which at least tried to have some sort of vision when it was - The Brooklyn - is now nondescript. There is zero vision about what it is trying to offer - other than a room - Using some of the furnishings from the previous franchise, but basically cutting back. Everything now is tired and worn. You book the parking and give your car registration- but no camera at the barrier - so you just press for reception and hope someone answers. On arrival 'name, credit card........etc' Zero personal engagement. Perfectly polite - but it is all a low bar. A shame. Great location could be something special. Blame the management.

It’s a really nice property with quite unique decor making it feel different from other hotels.

The staff have no customer care skills, they don’t clean the rooms properly even when all is needed is a fairly standard clean for the rest of your stay, they don’t answer the phones ever if you call before or during your stay and they just don’t seem to really care about their customers, everything is from the script. The room lighting is unique but awful as just too dark and the noise from the ventilation system and the room fridge is bad and not like I’ve experienced in any other hotel. Parking - don’t even ask as they don’t want to accommodate you or help you.

I liked the hotel over all, the place was very well kept and the room was gorgeous.

The reception staff were not trained very well in my opinion. We had paid when we arrived at the property, when we went to checkout the staff member tried to charge us again saying that we had only done a pre authorization. We had to show them our bank app before they relented.

Wet comfortable bed and room had air conditioning. Shower was very powerful and hot. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

There was no loo roll in the rooms. When I asked the front desk for loo roll they said they'd run out and were expecting a delivery soon. They offered more tissues. When trying to book parking before the trip it was difficult to get through by phone. The breakfast wasn't of a high Disneyland. The coffee machines were out of service, items on the buffet were not replenished quickly. Nothing terrible but it was a bit lacklustre.

Good sized room with everything you need. Safe/fridge/iron etc. Bar/lounge area is relaxing and comfy.

Parking is limited and only available by contacting the hotel directly. I called 2 days ahead but already fully booked. Alternative parking at NHS multi story and its cheaper but a 3 minute walk.

Mycket fina svala rum tack vare bra ventilationssystem med sköna sängar. Välsmakande frukostbuffé i trevlig lokal och likaså hjälpsam personal, med stor utbud att välja från traditionell "engelsk frukost" till mer kontinental med t.ex. müsli, frukt, bröd samt varma och kalla drycker.

Har igentligen inga klagomål men vill ändå nämna att hotellet ligger en bit stadskärnan samt från buss och tågstation så om man åker buss eller tåg till Leicester får räkna ca.20-30 minuters gångväg till hotellet om man nu inte tar taxi.

Rooms were lovely, bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was lovely.

Food quality was poor and knowledge of bar tenders was lacking.

2 friendly members of staff, one was a lovely lady behind the bar who was very helpful and the second was a very overworked young man who had brought breakfast up to our room. Breakfast smoothie was nice.

Besides the two helpful staff members, every other staff member was quite rude, ignored us on a number of occasions and left a bad taste in our mouth. Lots of stuff in our room was forgotten and when we did need a couple of things (such as ice, drink glasses, a pen to fill in the breakfast form), we were either ignored/forgotten about or were made to feel like an inconvenience. Most requests were met with an instant response of "I'm very busy" rather than any wanting to assist. As soon as we arrived the person at the front desk was abrupt and quite blunt. We'd called down a couple of times for items we thought would have been in the room and had no response. So we had to keep travelling down to the front desk from the 5th floor which got annoying fast. The hairdryer in the room was melted and a possible hazard, not sure how that went unchecked from a compliance POV. There wasn't much shower gel at all in the refillable container. No biscuits which is blasphemous!!!!! When we left the male at checkout tried to charge us for on site parking when we hadn't parked there. The room itself was cramped, with no hand towels, a weird layout where tables/chairs were leant against the bed and we were generally uncomfortable the whole time we were there. Breakfast wasn't great as well, cold food and watery eggs which gave me an upset stomach. So we skipped breakfast the next day. Definitely not worth what we paid for which should have been a good quality room. Based on the 8.8 score on Booking.com maybe they were understaffed on this occasion but that's no excuse to take it out on your customers. I am sure when we checked out we were deliberately not asked about our stay because the staff clearly were struggling to take care of its guests. We won't be back and I can't recommend this hotel to anyone.

Nice design, good location

Rude front of house staff - lady with the headscarf was patronising and incredibly dismissive which felt hostile. Refused to even acknowledge us whilst she continued using the computer and then was curt. With a partner who has a fear of elevators, she stated “it’s not that hard” and smirked. Her front facing role needs severe improvement. Another lady, who we spoke to about the room smelling of what could only be described as fish, refused to do anything despite telling her to investigate. Was so bad we ended up switching rooms at 3am.

Fantastic staff and room was breathtaking… stylish reception areas and bar. Warm welcome! Great restaurant. Great breakfast. Very comfortable bed. Wouldn’t stay anywhere else!

The only niggle was that the bathroom could have been cleaner and room was serviced on penultimate day! Overall this wouldn’t put me off from rebooking!

Car Parking was great being next to the hotel

Great location - 15 minutes walk to the train station and town centre. Despite being on a busy road, there was no noise. The room was spacious and well laid out. The bathroom was modern and clean. The hotel and room were very clean. The AC was very strong- this is a good hotel for the hot summers we're having in the UK.

staff were not friendly or helpful - I paid for parking for one vehicle didnt pay for the second asked on the night staff was rude and not helpful, (there was space in the car park i parked and paid in the morning), charged wrong card when entered premisis on my fathers explicity told them not to take any payments from my father and only my card should be used. woman confused my elderly father stated £20 is for the parking - instead they charged for room , i stay here a lot of times however on this occassion the staff were VERY unhelpful im appauled at the service i got from them

All staff were friendly and professional. Breakfast was excellent and accommodation was superb. The room had the biggest fridge we've ever seen in a hotel anywhere, bed was very comfortable and aircon was ideal 👌. Parking needs to be booked in advance as only 20 places (£20 per day)

I am writing to provide feedback on the breakfast service during my recent stay. While the cooked breakfast was excellent, several aspects of the breakfast service fell short of expectations for a hotel of this standard: • Insufficient variety and quantity: There were not enough items available at breakfast, and no yoghurts were offered. • Pastry replenishment and temperature: Pastry replenishment was poor and the pastries served were cold. • Staffing and clearing: The breakfast area appeared understaffed. Tables were frequently left with dirty plates and guests were left searching for available places to sit. • Service management: With the hotel at high occupancy, breakfast operations require better coordination to maintain service standards. I hope you will take this feedback constructively — the quality of the cooked breakfast suggests the potential is there, but improved staffing and replenishment procedures are needed to deliver a consistently excellent experience. The hotel’s brand reputation depends on these details.

The corridor carpets need cleaning or replacing — they had that musty, stale smell you get from old carpet that hasn't been cleaned regularly.

Amazing as always, loved everything about the property. Left the luggage at the hotel because there was a football game at 3pm kick off so I didn’t want to carry the luggage at the football.

Modern rooms and good bed

Its been more than 1 month that I stayed and requested the property for an invoice. I gave my email on check out. Phoned them on the 5th August after 1 month stay. The man at reception acted toom busy. Emailed - multiple times. I will loose money as company will not refund my expenses. Therefore for the poor acttitude = 2 stars is good enough.

Restaurant in the evening was very quiet and therefore lacked atmosphere. Lady at check in was very disbelieving that we had called the hotel directly to book a car park space which made me feel awkward. Not a good start to our stay. At checkout the receptionist said we owed money for dinner the previous night but we had already paid in full. We then received a further call from the hotel later that day to say our account was unsettled. Shows lack of organisation and communication between staff and annoying to clients.
