Helemaal niets, het was perfect
Clean and friendly staff
The property very nice. We liked that place t opened to a patio overlooking the lake even though it was raining the day we arrived.
Great hotel! We stayed on the second floor with a view of the lake for two nights. The room was large and had a comfortable king-size bed. The bathroom was also large and very clean. The shower was huge, and the showerhead had a wonderful spray. The hotel and our room were very quiet, no matter what time of day it was. The waitress we had in the restaurant was amazing and so kind to all the guests. The food was also amazing—you definitely need to try the personal-size Saskatoon berry pie! The front desk staff were okay, but overall, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely come back!
The location of the hotel was perfect. We could walk to the beach or into town for dinner. We got the deluxe king room on the ground floor. It was very spacious, and we enjoyed being able to sit outside or walk straight out our patio door to the beach.
There were some simple little conveniences missing in the room. For example, there were very few places to hang towels in the bathroom, and there was nowhere to put soap or shampoo in the shower. You had to put everything on the floor. The last night we were there, there wasn't a parking space for us so we had to park down the street. Given the price that we paid for our room, this was not ok.
The Kilmorey Lodge did not disappoint. Our room was absolutely lovely, looked out on the lake. The manager on duty was welcoming, very accommodating. Great location to the downtown area, we walked everywhere. We ate at the restaurant and had an outstanding meal, great service and drinks. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. I hope to return one day!
Overall : Bad experience. Especially for the money spent. One noght, tiny room right above garbage disposal cans (very noisy, had to close windows) 840CAD with taxes! NO balcony either. Bad is not comfortable Those kind of money I spend in Firemont hotel in Lake Louse with breakfast included.Or other luxury Banff hotels like Moose or Fox Price droped a week before arraival and I asked about price adjustment (120 CAD per noght). They refused. Arrived at 15;30 with check in time 16.00 and was told room is not ready??? Cleaning is suboptimal. Customer service is not friendly Location is great, but that is about it. Got 1 star for that. Total waste of money.
Ambiance, the patio, clean lovely room, restaurant, great friendly staff. Uga the dining waiter was great and we enjoyed talking with him!
There was nothing we didn’t like!
Location and staff were great.
We prefer softer pillows.
We did a last minute booking due to evacuation of Many Glacier- we booked last room available- Bernie checked us in that late afternoon. She was compassionate, professional, and very kind-
Right next to the lake, all restaurants and shopping are walking distance. Beautiful location for walking and exploring! The room is beautiful and comfortable. The restaurant is amazing in the hotel.
Everything was great!
Great location on the Lakeside. Friendly staff, especially in the restaurant.
Beautiful lodge, nice comfortable room, very helpful staff. Loved the view of the lake.
Great location. Restaurant was good, but not excellent. Staff were really friendly. Bed was comfortable.
The shower was too challenging for one of us to use. The step in was too high and there were no grab bars. A larger common area/lobby would have been appreciated.
De bedden te smal en geen nachttafel, wat voor deze prijs wel zou gemogen hebben.
The location is beautiful, and the room itself was clean and comfortable. Unfortunately, the overall experience was significantly affected by poor management and unprofessional customer service.
From the moment we checked in, the receptionist was rude, dismissive, and unwilling to listen to our concerns. She incorrectly stated that our reservation was for two nights when it was actually for one. When I asked her to verify the reservation, she eventually acknowledged that she had read the information incorrectly but did not apologize. We booked a room with two queen beds for four people, yet there were only two bathrobes and one set of toiletries provided. There was no kettle, or a microwave, in the room, and we had to request a kettle from the front desk after check-in. The most concerning issue was an unexpected charge that appeared on my credit card the day before my stay from Crandell Mountain Lodge. I never had a reservation with Crandell Mountain Lodge. However, during check-in, the front desk asked whether I was checking in for Kilmorey or Crandell, and I later learned that the two properties are operated by the same company and are located directly across the street from each other. When I raised concerns about the charge, the receptionist denied that it was related to the property and directed me to contact Booking.com. It was only after insisting on speaking with a manager that I received a different explanation. The manager told me the charge was merely a temporary authorization used to verify my credit card and assured me that the amount would not be deducted from my account. This information turned out to be incorrect. The charge was later posted as an actual transaction. What is most disappointing is not just the charge itself, but the way it was handled. Staff provided conflicting information, no one took ownership of the issue, and management has failed to provide a satisfactory explanation despite multiple attempts to obtain clarification. A billing concern of this nature should have been handled professionally and transparently. Instead, it was met with dismissiveness, contradictory explanations, and a lack of accountability.
Location and amenities
The best balcony view of any hotel I have stayed. Room was very beautiful too. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
There is nothing not to like.
Our good sized ground floor room opened onto a patio with a table and chairs, with lawn and a view of the lake. Wildlife was abundant (including deer grazing nearby). The in-house restaurant was excellent too.
Didn’t have breakfast.
Room great, didn’t like room 216 , too close to road. Little noisy.
Very Friendly .. amazing location on the lake view great balcony. Super clean rooms... upscale feel and restsurant and the pub great. Beds are a bit soft. Very friendly staff Hotel is a hidden gem.
Location and views were amazing
Nothing
Prime location in Waterton, we ate in the pub rather than the restaurant, the beer and food were good.
Nothing
The views, the rooms, the restaurant 👌
I have nothing negative to say.
I like the ambiance
No microwave, they didn’t allow us to check in on time (4:00 PM) even though we’re at the hotel quarter to 4. They let us wait for past 4 to be checked-in.
The breakfast was amazing!!! The Kilmorey is in a great location. :)
I don't really like the pub there! Not like the rustic old one and terrible location facing the street.
This hotel is very special. Small in size, with mostly rooms that have a patio deck with a view of the lake. what a marvelous place to sit in your robe and enjoy your morning coffee.
location,facilities
Lovely Hotels, obviously a fantastic location,. The only issue we had was that the bed was very uncomfortable, extremely soft, and offered zero support, so we didn't sleep very well.
The breakfast was not included, and the menu was full of large meals. Lovely food but a whole days worth of food.
Coffee machine in the room was very dirty.
Nice facility, great restaurant and pub. Very nice and helpful staff.
The lodge feels ... traditional - a bit old fashioned - which I really liked. And it is very well maintained. Everything works well.
Friendly and helpful staff
Na
I think if your lodging is open, you should have had at least the pub open. Also, access to an ice machine . Having to get ice from the front desk a joke. What's up with the lack of getting ice? Really?
No access to ice, ie an ice machine.
Beautiful location! We have stayed @ the Kilmorey the last few years. Always comfortable and amazing views.
Leaking bathroom shower all over bathroom floor. The front desk did not offer another room without extra charge. Housekeeper staff & dining & barstaff exceptional * Thank you
Nice clean facilities with beautiful views and great food
The restaurant and pub are on site. Friendly wait staff. Room was spacious and had a great view.
We had several meals there during our four day stay. The food quality was inconsistent. Some meals were served cold and others were served overcooked. They mentioned they were short staffed for servers, but we experienced lower food quality even when there were hardly any other customers. Even with fewer customers the wait time to get served seemed excessive. We stayed there last month and everything was good. Not sure what has led to the inconsistency.
We love the location and the view of the lake.
The wind.
Fantastic location. Woke up to Deer outside my door :) The restaurant food was excellent! Staff were all excellent too.
The free wifi was not great
• La proximité avec les randonnées • Le lit très confortable • La vue sur les montagnes • Le calme de l’hôtel

Easy to find
You hear noises at night
Room was clean , bed was very comfortable. Location was perfect
No utensils in the room to use for coffee or tea.
Beds, bedlinen, room was all excellent. Staff was very helpful and pleasant
I had problems communicating with the hotel prior to arrival. I did not get response from leaving phone message or email. Checked that email was correct
They had a new chef food was excellent!!! Beautiful rooms. !!♡♡♡♡
If they had a ice machine .
We had planned to go there for Christmas. Hotel looks great. Made reservations for a lake suite and also reservations each night in the dining room. Only one other hotel in Waterton is open over Christmas. This week I get cancellations for our dinner reservations for Dec 24 and Dec 25 with no explanation. I call the hotel and ask why. I am told they just decided. There are no other restaurants open in town on those nights. Why would you stay at a hotel that decides to close their restaurant over Christmas with no other dining options in town, but keep the hotel open ? I asked for the hotel manager to call me to discuss, but he never called. Terrible customer service. Will never stay there.
Waiter spilled food and drinks on the table and made no effort to clean or apologize. He gave us warm water and looked offended when we asked for cold water. When I told him the soup was so-so, he did not ask us what was wrong. He only brought us the bill when we stood up and asked for it. Our potato/bacon soup was thin and was an ugly grey(vomit looking) colour. Paying $28.00 for that and an ok sandwich is outrageous! My sandwich was wrapped in brown paper, that made me think of a fast food joint. My friend’s meal was over salted and overcooked. When we complained about all this to the front desk, the two women said that they were sorry to hear this and that the manager was unavailable. No offer of compensation or another way to fix the issues.
Belgian Wafles with excellent maples syrup.
No cleaning of rooms even though requested before 10pm. Just bed was done and towels changed. The floor of the bathroom got unfortunately dirty, but was not cleaned during stay
The room was comfortable and clean. Hotel location is perfect. Having a pub and restaurant on-site is also a big plus. Cocktails and restaurant food quality was excellent.
It was end of summer season, but hotel was suffering from a staff shortage. Those there were doing their best, but having an inexperienced reception person struggling to answer questions or process check-in/check-outs doesn't give a positive impression. It also impacted service at the restaurant.
Michael, in the pub was awesome! They were short staffed, so he made drinks, took orders, delivered food to tables & cleared tables. A one man show
Long wait to get food
Romantic hotel beside Waterton Lake. Nice room. Great restaurant with a view on the lake. Nice peaceful place to relax and enjoy nature.
Beautiful 😍
Very comfortable accommodation.
Great !
Wonderful historic hotel to stay Balcony lake view beautiful Food was excellent
Rooms are large and comfortable. However they need better maintenance. Carpets are showing wear. For the price you would expect perfection. Common areas like the lobby are tired. Carpet was dirty and stained. Windows need cleaning. Restaurant is fine but far from great.
Gorgeous location right on the lake. Our room walked right out and had seating to enjoy the views. Large clean room with a comfortable bed. We'll be back!!
Great place
The Kilmorey Lodge is a beautiful property. The room was clean, comfortable and well decorated. We particularly liked the individual lights and night shelves for each side of the comfortable bed. Breakfast was amazing as was dinner. The service in the dining room and pub was friendly and welcoming. Katie, Leeza and Cole made us feel right at home. The Lodge has a beautiful view of the lake and is conveniently located a few blocks from many shops. I will stay there again should I return to Waterton Park.
Nice location, comfy beds, food in restaurant was delicious
Great location!
This was my second time staying at this lodge. Really enjoyed it the first time and thought to come back again. It was a good trip this time around too but I didn’t like the room I was in. Mainly because it was located on the main floor right across from the elevator, with the pub and restaurant just a few steps down the hallway, due to which it got a bit noisy. With such heavy foot traffic in that area, I would suggest management to close off that room or use it for other purposes. Overall, staff were very friendly, the restaurant served great food and the rooms were well kept and clean.
It
Hotel was ok.
This hotel is really wonderful. I assume it has been fully renovated as the decor and furniture were in excellent condition. We had a lake view which was beautiful. I highly recommend this place! It’s walkable to everything in this small, quaint town. Easy access to restaurants, shops, and marina. Note to those coming in from US: there are two border stations if you’re coming up from the east side of Glacier. One is off highway 89 (Piegan-Carway). The other is off highway 17 (Chief Mountain). The Chief Mountain station has limited hours. We got there and it was closed. We didn’t realize there was another border crossing (thanks, Google maps!) so we thought we were “locked out” of Canada for the night with no place to sleep. Having no cell service at Chief Mountain, we drove back to St. Mary to see whether they had any available rooms. The reception desk there was kind enough to explain about the other crossing at Piegan that is open until 11pm. Crisis averted!
Such a wonderful environment with spectacular views. Great access to downtown and the lake. Our room was perfect!
Everything about this property we enjoyed. Staff seemed to always be new people.
Lovely location with great views.
Had a King Deluxe lake view upstairs room. Vaulted ceilings, exterior patio overlooking the grass lawn, trees lining the shoreline and the lake in the background. Very quiet room with the incoming street to Waterton next to the property. The large glass windows allowed a lot of light into the room and to open those windows at night. The room was nicely appointed and large with the bathroom being nice size with a large walk in shower. Having the restaurant and a bar downstairs was a nice feature on the small property. The air conditioning was nice during our stay in mid-September. Breakfast was 10% off every day. On nice weather mornings you can eat on the outside patio overlooking the lake. Would stay here in a heartbeat next visit.
No real communication. Not very friendly or attentive.
Couldn’t get room warm. Restaurant cold.
This was a beautiful new hotel with lovely art and stained glass lamps and light fixtures. We had room 212 which had A gorgeous lake view. We saw deer trotting by often. It is right on the lake path too which makes for a scenic walk into the village. Although we didn’t dine on site it seemed enjoyable. Only suggestion would be an ice
