Excellent position, good food
No air conditioning
Everything, staff are extremely friendly and efficient
Nothing at all
Great breakfast although open windows on the bust street made it a bit noisy
I have a problem with synthetic duvets, I understand why they are often used but it was a shame to have it given the wonderfully comfortable bed. Same with pillows, but pillows are easier to pack and travel with.
Price Clean Good beer choices Lovely hotel
Location great with free parking Really great breakfast Staff very friendly
I was in a ground floor room next to a pavement so I couldn’t open the window on a very hot evening. The toilet had not been cleaned as there was excrement in the pan. The floor in the bathroom was not cleaned, grouting very dirty. Very small room.
Our short stay was to attend a wedding in Northallerton. This is a great place to stay, lovely clean rooms, excellent breakfast. Really good value and lovely staff. Could not recommend more.
Room was a little hot, but we sorted that easily enough. There really was nothing more that I could add to that.
Location , parking , restaurant , family room , breakfast and staff were all fantastic ! We had a front facing spacious family room and even though it’s overlooking the high street it was nice and peaceful. Breakfast was really good and a for once a hotel toaster that browns just perfectly ! We will definitely use this as a base for future visits to Northallerton.
Everything was great !
Gorgeous building, spacious rooms and super comfy beds. Food portions are huge and was great to see lots of people with their dogs being welcomed in the bar.

Could do with a revamp especially the bathroom
Location was excellent. North Allerton is a great town with lots of amenities. Room was lovely, shower excellent as was the breakfast. Lots of choice and freshly cooked to order.
Nothing. Can’t think of anything
Looks smart outside and the bar/restaurant is welcoming, serving good local fare. Evening staff, especially the manager, were superbly helpful and friendly. Free parking. Comfortable bed and room, excellent shower.
Excellent location on the high street. The building itself is lovely inside and out. The room was well equipped and comfortable. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was also excellent. I have nothing bad to say about my stay.
Everything was great!

Excellent location on the main street. All amenities in hotel excellent.
Excellent staff. Good location
Nothing, all good.
Nice old building
Given a disabled room ,
Great staff and the inn was great
The food let it down
The bed. The towels. The window.
Can't reach the soap when in the bath. Wardrobe too small and too short for suit and dress bags. No air conditioning. Lift slow. Breakfast staff were not professional. One room key card stopped worhing after one day and had to be replaced. Difficult to see traffic when leaving the car park because of parked cars on the street. Room not serviced until after 1pm. No water to drink. Being trapped in stair well.

Great location, nice spacious room. Breakfast was perfect and staff were lovely.
Location , staff friendly
Very hot weather and bedroom requires air con as window only opens a few inches
Nice hotel in great location to explore Northallerton. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Not the fault of the hotel but beware the Northallerton May fair - right outside and noisy until late.

Lovely hotel and great location
The cooked breakfast was not good.
Location was very good, along with the parking. Breakfast not happy with. Staff were brilliant.
The breakfast was disappointing the bacon was disgusting so my husband and I didn’t have any breakfast on second day. The room was dark and no lighting above dressing table mirror. The shower was dangerous as a big step up and down and I slipped almost falling. The water was not draining properly and the water flooded all over the bathroom floor. I had tried my husbands calves liver on the first night and it was lovely so I ordered it on the 2nd night it was awful too tough cut too thick and it couldn’t be chewed and the vegetables were way too hard and couldn’t be chewed, the only thing I could eat was the mashed potato. Overall a very disappointing stay.
Great location, super helpful front desk staff, comfy rooms
The staff where excellent, really accommodating and nothing was too much trouble.
The rooms were a little tired.
Breakfast was excellent, so was evening meal. Rooms very comfortable and clean. Staff very friendly and efficient. Alex was especially helpful Great location for town centre and nearby attractions. Parking was a bonus.
Nothing
Excellent from our arrival to our departure, Restaurant was outstanding, so was breakfast. Staff are exceptional.
Just continue what they do.
The staff were friendly & very welcoming. The room had everything we needed, including a hairdryer, very spacious & lovely shower. Really enjoyed the breakfast. Very clean and tidy, lovely surroundings inside & out. Excellent car parking facilities.
The room was a bit hot as it was a hot weekend and no air con, however we are just not used to the heat anymore
Staff friendly and helpful, fantastic location and outstanding cooked breakfast, Thank you!
Location- food- cleanliness- quality
Only 1 thing let the room down! The TV was mounted on a wall at a 90 degree right angle to the bed making it impossible to watch whilst in the bed.
Very nice bar and the staff and Manageress are very friendly, and give good service.
Nothing
Perfect for our needs
location, decor and quality of breakfast all good
The staff were wonderfully friendly and helpful and the general ambience of the hotel and bar is pleasant. Great location as well.
We had a ‘wet room’ which was huge but poorly designed and executed which is a shame as I expect it cost a fortune.
Happy friendly staff, lovely rooms and bar area. Good car park
Let down by discoloured shower cubicle silicone and grout. A bit pricey.
Historic and good location
Dinner 1st night was poor-breakfasts lovely
Staff welcoming the room very comfortable the bed was amazing had best sleep ever no noise from the pub

Location and breakfast
Comfortable and clean/tidy. Beautiful ex Police Station
Not a huge amount of parking.
Location was excellent right on high street Hotel was beautiful in design Staff were friendly Breakfast was great Price with breakfast was great Plenty of parking behind the hotel
Pillows were too thin Check-in at bar not clearly signposted TV was in strange spot in room, to the side of the bed which was difficult and uncomfortable to watch, plenty of free space in room for better TV position
Room comfortable, food good
The shower wasn't as clean as I would like
Lovely well furnished room, great location, very helpful and friendly staff
Tv too small for room
Close to town centre and homely
Nothing
Comfortable and very convenient for town centre. Good free parking for residents.
The cooked breakfast was good.
Choice of jams🙁and bread products was limited.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Bar and dining areas nicely decorated. We were able to download the app and get free drinks in exchange for not having our room cleaned everyday. Space to sit outside in the sunshine. I really enjoyed the porridge and the coffee at breakfast. Good car park too.
Nothing.
The staff were excellent. Friendly, helpful and couldn't have asked for more Some areas of the hotel were newly refurbished
The bathroom floor looked dirty and the toilet brush holder was terrible - rusty and fit for the bin. Breakfast was ok. Hollandaise sauce synthetic. Not much fruit
Location

Spotless clean and good location
Nothing
Great location, beautiful building, beds were super comfy! Great choice of breakfast options.
Confusion over early check in time.
Friendly and helpful staff
No issues
Great location in the town centre, clean rooms, great bar and restaurant.
Great location for a night out at Northallerton Forum, or in town - walking distance. Dinner was good - a parmo. Breakfast also very good and plentiful. Staff on arrival and departure were very friendly.
Waitress / bar girl was VERY slow at making and bringing a margarita I had to go back in search of it. If you offer cocktails then train staff to make them. Must have taken her over 15 minutes to get this very simple one mixed. None of the girls on the bar seemed to understand how to make cocktails or what went in them. One just stood there picking up bottles and putting them down again.
Very comfortable beds, easy parking behind hotel. Reception and bar staff friendly and helpful
No light above mirror over dressing table, chef can’t make scrambled eggs properly, no beer garden, non-working extractor fan in bathroom, grossly over-priced - similar hotels in area are 25% cheaper. 3 requests via email and booking.com sent in advance to have duvets removed from covers ignored.
Clean excellent breakfast
The location was fine
We were in room 127 to start but no heating and no hot bath water moved to room 126 but no better and hotel unable to fix problem so we were given portable heaters. The rooms otherwise were very modern and comfortable.
Beautiful building, comfortable bed and very friendly staff
Great location, wonderful food & lovely staff. Huge room & spotlessly clean
Dressing table kneehole & seat on opposite side to mirror. Small tv
It was conveniently located
Spurious fire alarm at 6:00am
Fire alarm went off at 5.50 am for no reason. Was told manager was having a shower and steam set alarms off. Totally unacceptable.
