Loved it, the views were amazing, especially sunrise from the balcony. Hotel itself was also really nice with nice rooms.

The location of the lagoon. The look and style of the hotel and the rooms. The food was actually really good (except for one meal where my partner got food poisoning) and the waiters were very friendly. Being able to use the multiple paddle boards and kayaks they have.

This is not an adult only hotel!!!! While we were laying in the lounge chairs by the pool, we noticed a family with two kids. Those kids were also using the paddle boards. I stopped by the front desk and I asked about this. I said why are there kids at this hotel? It’s clearly stated as an adult only hotel and that’s the main reason why we booked here. His response was it’s up to managements discretion. I said what does that mean those are not 18-year-old kids those are much younger. He said to me they’re 13. I said exactly in any country the adult age is 18. He said again, sir it’s up to the management’s discretion who stays here. Then on our final night, we were in the restaurant which there’s only one on the property because it’s a small hotel. And a couple came in with maybe a two-year-old and a nanny. The two year-old was free to roam around the restaurant between the tables while the nanny just followed behind, and the kid was making these loud yelling noises. Which made us want to leave the restaurant because it was so obnoxious. So we went straight to the front desk and complained. Her response was the restaurant is open to the public. I said what are you talking about? We’re an adult adults only hotel and there’s only one restaurant here and nowhere on Booking.com does it say the restaurant is open to the public. Also, the lounge chairs by the pool. You cannot raise the back of it. You have to lay completely flat on your back. I’ve never seen chairs like this at a resort hotel before even a boutique hotel ever. I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to stare at the sky the entire time I’m outside by the pool and lagoon when I have a beautiful view in front of me. So I would never stay at this hotel again for these reasons even though it is a pretty hotel in a great location it’s too bad. The other thing that upset us was my partner got food poisoning at lunch. Needless to say her entire night and the next day were ruined from it.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Amainah. From the moment you walk in, you can immediately feel the peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. The hotel offers some of the most beautiful views of the lagoon, perfectly showcasing its natural beauty and vibrant colors. Our room had a front facing view of the lagoon, and it was absolutely breathtaking. It was spacious, spotless, and had a pleasant natural wood scent that made it feel warm and inviting. The restaurant staff were exceptional. Jonathan and Jovanni were incredibly attentive, friendly, and made us feel welcome throughout our stay. Their service was outstanding, and the food and cocktails were absolutely delicious. We truly enjoyed every moment of our stay and would definitely return. We highly recommend Hotel Amainah to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway with incredible views and outstanding hospitality.

ESPECTACULAR. Contrate mi estancia la noche antes al haberse suspendido todos los tours acuáticos en holbox, lo cual me obligó a reorganizar mi viaje. Y, aunque me gusta organizar mis viajes con mucha antelación y estudio previo. No tuve más remedio que hacer un estudio rápido de todos los hoteles de la zona y la conclusión fue que Amaináh podía ser la mejor opción. Para saber si el hotel podía organizarme la excursión en barco les llame directamente por teléfono la noche anterior y me atendió el señor Jesús, gracias al cuál pude resolver todas mis dudas y reservar mi excursión, por su exquisita atención, quiero mencionarlo aquí. Este pequeño hotel que yo calificaría como boutique, es el típico que produce un efecto wow y que siempre recordarás. Su ubicación sobre el cenote cocalitos es impresionante. El edificio tiene una arquitectura muy moderna y bien estructurada. Las habitaciones están genial con unas camas comodísimas, nevera y unas vistas espectaculares. La pequeña piscina está muy bien ubicada junto al bar y cerca del pantalán que da acceso para bañarse en el lago. Además tienen kayaks que te dejarán cuando tú quieras sin ningún costo. La atención del personal es increíblemente amable. Y ya la guinda del pastel es el restaurante Vícaro, dónde la tensión es exquisita y la comida todavía más. Si bien el desayuno no está incluido. Tampoco es muy caro. Y más si tienes el descuento del 15% por reservar a través de booking. La única pena es que solo nos quedamos una noche. Muchas gracias por todo. Y por habernos hecho sentir tan bién.

Ho avuto il piacere di soggiornare in questo hotel con ristorante e l’esperienza è stata semplicemente eccellente sotto ogni punto di vista. La prima cosa che colpisce è la pulizia impeccabile: ogni ambiente, dalle camere alle aree comuni, è curato nei minimi dettagli e trasmette immediatamente una sensazione di ordine e freschezza. La posizione è davvero strategica, perfetta sia per chi vuole rilassarsi sia per chi desidera esplorare i dintorni senza difficoltà. Le camere sono arredate con gusto, accoglienti e dotate di ogni comfort, con una particolare attenzione alla cura dei dettagli che fa davvero la differenza e con una vista mozzafiato Un plauso speciale va allo staff: professionale, cordiale e sempre disponibile, capace di far sentire ogni ospite come a casa. Anche il ristorante merita una menzione, con piatti di ottima qualità e un servizio attento e puntuale. Consiglio vivamente questa struttura a chi cerca un soggiorno all’insegna del comfort, della qualità e dell’ospitalità.

En realidad solamente me gustaron las vistas. Lejos de todo, sucio y había muchísimo ruido a todas las horas de día, por la noche hasta altas horas con música también y después desde las 4-5 AM con ruido de la autopista!!

Gran ubicación y hermoso lugar.

Nos tocó que fueran a tomar fotos de promociones, por lo que le daban más atención a esas personas, nuestra comida tardó demasiado, nos pidieron que nos moviéramos de mesas y camastro… No tienen spa, contratan los masajes por aparte. Hay cafetera en el cuarto pero te cobran las cápsulas de café por aparte.

El hotel es nuevo y tiene un concepto agradable con acceso directo a la laguna. El personal es muy amable y atento. La habitacion fue entregada muy limpia y agradecemos mucho haber tenido cafe y agua. Nos ayudaron a conseguir un tour ese mismo dia y hasta a llevar comida que nos prepararon en el restaurante del hotel

Very comfortable and quiet, loved having a big bath, the only one in Mexico. It's really difficult to know how to access and enjoy the lake in Bacalar as it's all behind private property and walls, but the hotel arranged a great boat trip with a wonderful guide for extra. Food was very good and the views over the lake were wonderful even without the sun shining!

The highlight of our trip to Mexico! We were warmly welcomed with an early check-in and a complimentary upgrade on arrival. The room was beautiful, with a spectacular view of the lagoon. Every member of staff we encountered was personable, friendly, and genuinely eager to make our stay special. This experience truly exceeded our expectations, we couldn’t have asked for a better place to end our vacation.

Our group of seven thoroughly enjoyed every aspect, including the staff, amenities, and service, which made us feel like VIPs. The room views were stunning, and the cuisine was delightful. Special recognition to the staff especially Jesus and Edgar for their exceptional hospitality. We highly recommend Amainah to our friends.

Na een regenbui rook kamer 401 naar een open riool. Onmogelijk om langer dan 5 minuten te verblijven. De manager was pas na uren bereikbaar. Veel ontwerpfouten, zoals het water van de douche dat gewoon de kamer binnenloopt. Te duur voor het serviceniveau.

Con sólo 16 habitaciones, el Amainah es un hotel prácticamente perfecto para una estadía en Bacalar. Instalaciones, restaurante, bar, alberca... todo es sumamente disfrutable. Dos detalles mínimos: Rentamos una habitación con alberca privada, el agua estaba fría, por lo que no la pudimos usar en la noche, como era nuestro plan. El otro es que los muros, todos en cemento pulido, rebotan mucho el sonido y, por la noche, los ruidos se magnifican; sería buena idea colocar algunos cuadros textiles, para aminorar ese efecto.

This property was very clean and modern. The staff were very helpful and attentive. About 45min walk from the town center, but taxis are very accessible and only about $80 pesos. Hotel dock is a short paddle away from shallow water and Cocalitos.

We enjoyed our stay at Amainah. Super friendly staff who are able to answer all of our questions. We have a great view of the lagoon. Our favorite part is the paddleboarding at sunrise (SUP provided by the hotel). about 10 min car ride from city center.

This place is a paradise in paradise. The whole place is immaculate starting with service. Everyone is very friendly and attentive. The rooms are clean and well maintained and save the best for last the food at Vicero a restaurant inside house is delicious. I would definitely recommend this place especially for couples.

Location although out of town was stunning, on the lake & not too far to access if we wanted to visit. Quiet & not overly touristy which was exactly what we wanted!! Design of hotel, rooms & amenities were superb just as was size of room, comfort & cleanliness. All staff were extremely friendly & very eager to please at all times. Stand out staff at hotel were Salvador, Alessandro, Nancy, Isabel & Jesus at front desk. Would definitely return if we had the opportunity & highly recommend if you’re not on a budget as we enjoyed our 2 night stay & only sorry we could not stay longer. View from room, bar & pool area were heavenly!

Menu choice at bar was good although food was very average. Gluten Free is noted when booking as available however no GF bread was available either morning during our stay & a hotel of this level not offering GF options for breakfast like toast was very disappointing when it’s not a big inconvenience to store & provide. Although bedding in room was comfortable didn’t like the pillows but that’s just a personal preference as I’m sure it’s hard to meet every guest’s requirements.

Fantastic stay - really loved our room with an incredible view, and the food at the restaurant was really good too. It’s great that you can take kayaks and paddle boards out on the beautiful lake whenever you like, too.

Property is far from main town and other restaurants. Service here is very slow and they have a very limited menu. Some of the staff were very friendly, others didn't care!

This hotel is amazing have atayed here twice and will not book woth another.

Room view was stunning and it was clean, but no chairs or other furniture in room. Open concept bathroom is less than ideal. Sound carried badly and noisy guests (especially one lady beside us constantly on her phone) disrupted the tranquility of the place. Another woke us up at 2a.m. The hotel is concrete with no furnishings which attributes to the sound issues. Breakfast/bar staff were fantastic. The front desk staff less so and communication before arrival was lacking. I couldn’t even get a confirmation of our reservation. Breakfasts were delicious.

Right on the lagoon…so pretty. Front desk staff were very efficient and replied quickly to What’s App questions. My room 202 did feel a little like I was part of the deck scene…I would have preferred something a little quieter. Overall a very pleasant stay!

The property is beautiful, the staff is incredible, the food and cocktails are excellent! I had no complaints. We stayed 3 nights and it was exceptional. The walk to town is a little far but we did it twice! I wanted the exercise anyway. The staff was so hardworking, friendly, and helpful. I will come back if I'm in that part of the country again! HIGHLY recommend.

An absolutely perfect stay for our group of 5 friends celebrating a birthday. The staff went above and beyond for everything...arranging massages, catamaran trips, etc. And the service at the bar and restaurant was so attentive and thoughtful. Location was perfect, and facility was gorgeous. We'll be back!

What a wonderful place Amainah is, in all my travels I have never seen an entire staff so fantastic! Our room was beautiful the breakfast that was included was incredible and the service was second to none. The view from our room was beautiful. The only negative is it's not very handicapped accessible there is no elevator and quite a few steps.

We spent two at Amainah and loved it. It's on the quiet end of Bacalar right on one of the most beautiful areas of the lagoon. The food was very good and it was nice to have the option to dine at the hotel. The vibe was very relaxed and it was quiet, as there are no children allowed; adults only. The staff was very attentive and friendly. And, of course, it was absolutely beautiful perched right on the lagoon.

The view from the rooms were amazing! I think every room has a view of the lagoon. Walking into the room after a long day and seeing the lagoon is a highlight. I am very thankful to the staff who were so attentive and welcoming, especially Jaer and Edgar! Jaer was amazing from the second I arrived. I also enjoyed the food, and the location was amazing.

The cleaning could be better. No one wants to feel like someone was in the room previously even if they were. Unfortunately socks from a previous customer was left, there were stains on the floor especially the toilet, and it seems this was missed. I also think more things should be available for what customers have to pay. For example, being picked up from the airport, breakfast, or even a possible shuttle to the centre.

We loved everything about our stay. The room was beautiful, the view was amazing, the food and drink delicious, and the staff were excellent and went above and beyond.
