Location, the reason we chose this hotel
Room was small, carpet was threadbare, sash window was held up by a piece of wood. Bathroom very basic. Fire evacuation at 5 am was chaotic.
It's a well kept looked after hotel I will definitely be returning again a lovely room with seaview 5 mins walk from pier and town centre 😄
Nothing
Early check in Receptionist was very helpful
Good location, easy check in and out
Wifi didn’t reach our room which also couldn’t get cellular reception. Massive gaps underneath the door to the corridor. Shower mixer wasn’t working so would only be very hot with occasional bursts of cold. Expected better.
A beachfront hotel with a beautiful renovated breakfast area and reception.
The rooms very old and tired for the price per night
Great location, friendly staff
Dark carpet with the stains and old beds
Very clean , staff friendly and helpful and location was spot on , on the seafront but far from The Pier .
Great location clean room pretty comfortable that's about it to be honest as I was out most of the time.
Maybe the price being really picky but overall nothing I didn't like to be fair.
Beachfront with parking
Rooms were a little dated
Very friendly and clean food exellent
It was my first time in Llandudno and we found a gem of a hotel! Very clean and excellent location, near the seaside and town centre. I parked my car at the hotel and left it there for three days, it was safe and good parking, we walked everywhere. The breakfast is absolutely amazing! Very good buffet plus they also cook you anything you want on the menu! Staff were amazing, especially Sadie and Yarik. The hotel took good care of me and my two children, thank you. We'll definitely stay here again on our next trip!
Room lighting was a bit dim
Great location, good shower, lovely breakfast options. Friendly staff. Great black out curtains.
Lumpy bed, thin walls/old windows so you could hear everyone else coming and going and a million seagulls outside so I didn't sleep great. Bring earplugs. Lack of parking, I was there bank holiday so it was rammed! I drove around town about five times looking for parking. If you don't manage to get a free spot on the promenade after 4pm you'll have to pay £9 for overnight parking in the carpark near by. The hotel itself only had about 8 spaces.
Location, Cleanliness. Good service. Free parking but not always available.
Slow internet or not getting wifi network Bathroom condition. Although clean but due to structure or decoration, there is possibility of water flow during bathing
Great location, great restaurant for dinner and breakfast, really friendly staff thank you for a lovely stay xx
Generally all ok only downside was a minor thing dirty carpets in the hallways.
Room basic but nice. Lovely restaurant.
Our room was very warm
Bright warm and amazing location
Expensive
Wonderful location
Everything was so perfect
The location was very excellent, it was near to the shops, restaraunts and Pier. There was lots to do near by and we had a lovely sea view from our room. The breakfast was lovely, with lots of choice.
The entrance and reception of the hotel was lovely however the carpet on the stairs leading to the bedrooms were stained. The bedroom was ok, the bed was comfortable and we had tea and coffee making facilities. However the room was hot and the window was held open by a chock of wood. The bathroom pictures on the website were celverly taken as we had an inclusive bathroom and the shower was a walk in one which was a bit of a faff to sort before you could use it. The water temperature in the shower and the sink in the bathroom had a mind of thier own whixh was quite frustrating too.
Receptionist was very nice and the restaurant was good.
After booking a double room with a sea view and breakfast with a cot for our 6 month fister child we ended up with a room at the back end of the hotel in which to get to after the lift there were 4 or 5 different sized stairs plus numerous fire doors and we had to negotiate this with the baby plus the push chair and our baggage. There was no car park to use so i had to park around the side street. The room was dirty with a hole and a patch in the carpet. The view,or extreme lack of,was of two car parks and a lot of rubbish bins. I paid £237.07 for this appalling room. NOT HAPPY.
Clean, sea front location close to pier, free parking at rear with accessibility for wheelchair user from car park.
Cleanliness, and a beautiful sea view
Poor wifi, poor network
The restaurant was very nice but basic
Our room was very small for a king sea view on the third floor right at the very end of the hotel we had to use the lift then had to climb two lots of stairs it was very confusing if that room is for a person with a disability it would be impossible to get to it bathroom needed updating no bath wet room and not very clean toilet paper was disgusting this hotel wasn't for us pensioners to far away from the lift and two many staires very dissappointed
The main areas were good
The room was not great
I really liked the downstairs lobby, which has been nicely decorated and recently renovated. It feels modern, welcoming and well presented. Unfortunately, this doesn’t extend to the bedrooms, which still feel dated and would benefit from the same level of renovation and attention.
We booked this hotel partly because it was advertised as having on-site parking. Unfortunately, the car park is very small and only accommodates a handful of vehicles. As a result, we were unable to park at the hotel and had to find alternative parking nearby. This was quite inconvenient, particularly as we then had to get up early to move the car. We felt the description of the parking was misleading and would have appreciated clearer information about the limited availability.
I stayed at the Esplanade Hotel in Llandudno with my girls for three nights, and overall we had a lovely stay. The location is fantastic and very convenient for exploring Llandudno, with everything within easy reach. The staff were lovely, friendly and helpful, and the downstairs areas and facilities were really nice and welcoming. A special mention has to go to the breakfast, which was absolutely excellent. Probably one of the highlights of our stay. There was a great choice, the food was fresh and tasty, and we really enjoyed starting our mornings there.
Unfortunately, the main downside for us was the room and, particularly, the noise. Our room was on the side of the hotel, and the mornings were extremely loud because delivery lorries were constantly coming and going. When you're staying for a few days and hoping for a bit of a lie-in, especially while away with children, being woken up early by deliveries wasn't ideal at all.
Great location and friendly staff
Location was great, right on top of everything, lovely staff
Wi-Fi wasn't great
The room had a fabulous view and was a great size for 5 people. The beds were extremely comfortable. Breakfast was really good and the staff were very pleasant and helpful.
The WIFI was constantly disconnecting and throwing up security errors. The 4G signal was also poor which was strange considering there was a large mast on top of the Orme. The restaurant food was quite pricey.
The location was good. The bed was comfortable. We were given extra pillows when we asked for them.
We were led to believe that car parking was available but when we arrived it wasn’t and we had to park quite a way away which was inconvenient. The WiFi wasn’t very reliable. The room was quite cluttered which made it feel cramped.
The receptionist was amazing couldn't be more welcoming and helpful nothing was touch to ask she was simply brilliant
The only thing I didn't like was the lift access area due to the whole stairwell being glass enclosed and the heat was unbearable a suggestion would be to tint out the glass asap
Perfect location 👌
Stairway carpets were very tired and loose in a few places.
Everything was brilliant
Car park
Breakfast was nice, staff were nice
Room was very sparse wasn’t welcoming, Mold on tiles by shower and stains on the carpet definitely wasn’t worth £229 a night, Parking nightmare
Parking at the hotel as was very busy in Llandudno, nice comfortable clean room, check in easy, and hotel was very close to the pier
Big rooms, close to everything and car park.
.Only negative was an hour late checking in as room wasn’t ready and checking out they didn’t let us stay for few hours in the car park
Next to the beach but not something i was expecting it to be
The floor carpets where dirty, didn’t describe that the shower room was a wet room, radiators not working we had to ask the workers twice to come and check for us
The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. The availability of the parking - although tight as warned but we did get in. We were allowed early access to our rooms as they were ready and as we were in Llandudno for a funeral and had travelled a very long way this was exceptionally helpful and much appreciated. Also I am 93 and your facilities were suitable for me, although I am not disabled I needed to be near to the centre .
There was no-one to hand our keys to when making an early departure. This is not a criticism as I know it is difficult but I would hve felt more comfortable to do so.
Superb breakfast, immaculate room, lovely view at the sea front, very friendly staff, overall 5 stars 🌟 🤩
Hard to think of anything
Breakfast was good and location was hood
The hotel has had a make-over since my last visit a couple of years ago and it is really nice ,but there is nothing available in the hotel for children or families in the evenings .previously, before the make-over , there were games available for families to play in the evenings, but now there is nothing there is just a seating area next to the reception. The staff were very friendly and very helpful. We had breakfast included in our stay, and it was delicious. We would highly recommend it.
The front has had a makeover also, and the pictures on booking.com do not match the exterior, so if you were new to the area or had not visited previously, it would be hard to locate as the restaurant (The Goat)which is now within the hotel dominates the front. With steps to hotel and no ramp at the front of the building, which is inconvenient, however, there is a ramp to the side of the building which you can enter the building then get the lift upto the reception.
Quiet
Location
Found out it used to be a disabled hotel and the bathroom had disabled facilities and a walk in shower which didn’t suit us
Pleased with Car park Lovely breakfast room Lovely reception lady
Didn’t like sleep room at back not front view to see sea -next time book front room with 3 single beds or 1 double bed & 1 single bed or sofa bed either - view to see sea
Reception staff was very rude, they also charged us £10 for late checkout without any prior intimation. We were late by 1 hr.
We had a beautiful room with first row see views. We enjoyed our stay very much.
Nothing major, but hallways are like a labyrinth a bit confusing even though they tried to put on signage.
The breakfast was cooked really well with everything you expect for a good start to the day.
As far as I was concerned everything lived up to my expectations, the one thing that spoilt it was the car parking, it was a nightmare. Once in, the car had to remain in that space until one went home.Such a shame as that could prevent people from rebooking.
The location was perfect, comfortable rooms and off road parking.
WiFi in the room was a little hit and miss
The location is excellent, right on the seafront and next to the beach. The restaurant also offers good-quality meals, which was a real plus. Everything was fine in terms of hygiene and cleanliness
On the less positive side, the building is historic but clearly needs significant maintenance work. The floor in our room was completely uneven, which meant we had to sleep in the opposite position to feel comfortable. The lack of air conditioning also made our stay less enjoyable. Although hot weather is not usual in Llandudno and fans were available, the room was still excessively warm.
The hotel is close to most of the shops and to all the activity areas in Llandudno.
The internet is unstable and slow.
The staff are very friendly and the restaurant and reception area very clean and bright.
The staircases/hallways need new carpets or a very good clean. The elevator needs a good clean.
Most of it. The receptionist was very nice and helpful, room was nice and clean, and the bar is really nice
Being woken at 5am to the fire alarm. Obviously I'd want to be woken by the alarm, but not when it wasn't a fire.
Good location
Rooms were clean but carpet was covered in stains, the carpet on the stairs was also covered in stains. We were put on the 2nd floor and it was impossible to get any mobile signal or WiFi in our room. The lobby of the hotel is lovely but once you get past that it’s very dated and in need of renovations such as new carpets. There was also an aircon control/thermostat in our room but it did absolutely nothing and the room was like a sauna and only one of the windows would stay open.
Location and breakfast
Room too warm no air-con
Location perfect, staff very friendly and accommodating. Managed to park more or less outside the hotel which was £10 per day but is not a reflection of the hotel. The restaurant is lovely only ate in there once which was breakfast, very good selection.
The room although large & sea view it does need a little updating in particular the carpet which did have quite a few stains and has seen better days. However the bedding & towels were clean
Location was good
Curtains that actually close, or thicker blinds, a door with no gap at bottom of the door. A shower cubicle that is a bit bigger. Air con or a fan during summer as was quite warm
Breakfast was ok we booked breakfast through reception night before there was no veg sasuges. Hot chocolate we had to pay continental not much options
Bedroom windows cleaned and bathroom cilicone needed changing
Location was great and rooms were comfortable.
WiFi connection was poor. Full buffet breakfast was not available which quite surprised me.
Lovely hotel.
Carpets dirty.
Staff were friendly and welcoming
The cooked breakfast was a big disappointment for two of us, after reading the excellent reviews. It was not freshly cooked and had obviously been standing a while and kept warm
We had the sea view room which was looking beautiful at night time and morning.Breakfast was good. Parking was accessible.
The wifi is bad no proper network.
Location good Reception nice and modern Lovely staff Nice breakfast
Tired rooms . Dirty worn carpets . Small TV Bathroom felt like care home .wet room- awful Car park inadequate - had to pay for parking up the road
Clean Roos had everything we required
All good
Good location
No air conditioner
Location
Breakfast, service very slow and not worth the wait.
Good location and very good value. Clean bedding and towels and excellent breakfast. Staff were friendly.
Carpet was filthy on the stair wells and carpet was stained on floor in room. Could hear every movement in the room above. Parking very limited.
Loved the breakfast and the staff xxx
Nice spacious room, great sea view. Comfortable beds and pillows. Staff were very nice indeed Breakfast absolutely fab 👌
The whole place was excellent. The staff were very friendly.
Well situated and run, nice room, clean and everything worked.
Friendly staff. Great value. Perfect location and sea view. Really clean and modern style.
Nothing to not like.
Номер больше чем в описании, комфортно для 5 человек. Очень вкусные завтраки
Помыть окна надо, очень грязные
The staff were brilliant. Incredibly kind and personable as well as professional. Will consider staying here again in future
A little lacking in the way of variety for the breakfast but the cooked breakfast was lovely. Would probably be a good idea to give the code for the carpark before arrival. No other complaints, thank you for having us!
We had a lovely stay at the Esplanade Hotel in Llandudno. The location is fantastic, with beautiful surroundings and a lovely atmosphere, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy everything Llandudno has to offer. The beds were really comfortable, which made for a great night’s sleep, and the hotel was clean and welcoming. The staff were friendly, helpful and made us feel very welcome throughout our stay. We really enjoyed our visit and would happily recommend the Esplanade Hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable stay in a lovely location. We would definitely return.
Nothing comes to mind
Emplacement. Personnel sympathique. Grande chambre. Petit déjeuner extra
Il est indiqué un parking. Difficile d accès et tres petit.
Excellent location. We had a sea view room. 5 stars view.
When you have lugguages, but need to turn serveral time of stair to the room. Like a maze. Interesting experience.
A lovely hotel with restaurant and bar, nothing to much trouble the staff very friendly, professional and well organised, The food is excellent hot and tasty Evening meals good choice Already booked for next year
Great location - reception fresh and modern
Room and facilities quite tired - worn carpet and lighting limited
Breakfast, comfy beds.
Not too clean place.
Location was great
Nothing
Location, lovely modern reception and eating area.
Very clean and very central
Nothing
All breakfast evening meals and drinks served excellent service and quality thanks
Very satisfied with everything excellent
Outside area is really nice the reception and the dining room the same, beds were comfortable room temperature was pleasant. The staff were pleasant especially the Goat staff. Also breakfast was very good.
The room we stayed in room 105 looked grubby the window and mirror had fingerprints on them the wall had black greasy looking marks on it, the door has a very large gap along the bottom so the light shone through all night, the carpet in the bedroom was clean but stained the hallway carpet was frayed in places.
Location and Goats for breakfast
Parking limited
I booked a family room with children which was immediately above reception/restaurant at the front of the hotel with sea view. It was a lovely room. Location was perfect. Parking on promenade was free from 4pm until 10am next morning. Staff were great. Really nice and helpful. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. The only downside was that we could hear the music from below until it was switched off at 10.30pm. The children were unable to get to sleep until the music stopped.
Didn’t have breakfast
The sink in our room had a crack in it . The walls had marks on them .
Close to the main parts
No parking this cost me extra
Location. Very clean
A frayed edge carpet in room. Elderly lady with us easily could have tripped over it
Magnifique endroit, face à la mer, pour se baigner, marcher ou flaner ! Hotel, restaurant et bar spacieux. Bon repas et bon petit déjeuner.
Limited parking,so had to park on the promenade not far from the hotel, you need to add a parking ticket from 10am until 2pm then re ticket, each ticket was £5.50 for four hours stay. Stayed in room 204 the bedroom door has a huge gap under the room main door, was told this was due to the floor running away, used spare pillows to block this gap. Sadie was the desk staff on arrival and departure, what an absolute asset to the hotel she truly is, nothing was too much trouble, few issues that required addressing ,she was straight on it. There was no aircon but there was a fan, two would have been better to cover both ends of a family room. On making a hot drink this hotel is the only one I've been to, to add hot chocolate sachets, which as a family room to me was brilliant, as most children like a hot chocolate, nice touch thinking of the children 👏👏👏. The View was of the carpark there was no room to park in lol ,but wasn't the end of the world. Breakfast was in the goat next door, again amazing serving staff, it was plated and not a buffet style cooked breakfast £16.50 each on the menu, but worked for us. Family had pancakes this was listed with fruit but the fruit wasn't fresh ,the fruit it was in a jam syrup...fresh fruit no syrup would be nicer. We banged into the cleaners on the way out also lovely, great humour made us laugh. All in all the good outweighed the bad, it was an Ideal location to the pier, town and food outlets.... The beds were comfy, no bath, just a wet room but again did the job. Would we stay again ...yes we would, would we recommend ? ...yes we would. The only suggestion I would make..as carpark is limited, I'd reserve these for long distance traveling guest's, as after hours of travelling, the last thing you want to do is find parking in an area you've never been. Thanks to all the staff, especially Sadie for making mine, and my family's stay a lovely one 👏👏👏
Location
Nothing
Beautifully decorated and furnished.. Wonderful location. Very helpful staff. Looking forward to staying here again on my next visit
The hotel and rooms were generally very clean and comfortable.
The fan in the room doesn't blow any air at all, even on its highest setting. I hope this can be improved.
Staff friendly and helpful
Excellent location, accessible free parking on the road after 4pm. Excellent customer service, friendly desk and bar staff. Room was clean with expected facilities. Room was hot, small fan was provided which wasn't the best but we took our own which helped.
Women on the desk was very rude regarding parking. Had to park by the barrier and go an retrieve the the code in order for it to open. I paid £179 for a sea view. Room for 1 night, room was dirty, had a peace of wood propping the window open! There were no toiletries, 19inch tv with free view only. No door on the wardrobe. Wall paper peeling off the walls, home made bedside tables. All in all the room was a disaster!! I'd of walked out if it wasn't for my partner. Better rooms in a travel lodge (FACT) Never again!
The room.... outdated, dirty, wasn't worth the £179 for the 1 night we stayed. Should be ashamed of yourselfs.
Perfect location. Facilities on site. Excellent breakfast. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Private parking.
Nothing
The location and the cleanliness. Most of all lovely food.
