The hotel is clean and is the rooms are fairly new. The service staff were helpful in particular the front office supervisor Wunlandari who helped with various arrangements.

Artotel Hotel has been my go-to stay for quite some time now — I’ve stayed here countless times, and it has never disappointed. For a 3-star hotel, the level of service easily feels like 5-star. The location is highly convenient, with the wet market, BCS Mall, Grand Mall, food courts, and massage options all within walking distance — making it ideal for both short and extended stays. What truly stands out is the exceptional hospitality. The staff are consistently warm, friendly, and attentive. Special mention to Miss Laura and Miss Monica at the front desk — their personalised service, smooth check-ins and check-outs, and thoughtful little surprises in the room always make each stay feel special and welcoming. The rooms are spacious, clean, and very well-maintained. The bed and pillows are comfortable, the air-conditioning and WiFi work perfectly, and the TV comes with Netflix. Small touches like complimentary snacks and drinks, as well as a lavender spray to help with a better night’s sleep, really elevate the overall experience. Breakfast offers a decent variety with daily menu changes — simple yet satisfying. The mango smoothies, pastries, and traditional kuehs were especially enjoyable (I even went back for seconds). Considering the quality of service, comfort, and overall experience, Artotel Hotel remains more affordable than many nearby hotels that offer less. Overall, every stay has been consistently pleasant, comfortable, and worth it. Highly recommended, especially for those who value great service and convenience.

I stayed with my husband and toddler for 2 nights. Here are the things that I liked: - Spacious bathroom - Towels, bathroom amenities provided - Consistent water heating of shower, nice big rain shower, good water pressure and flow - The breakfast spread has a lot of variety and enak banget - Security within the premise feels okay overall - Comfy beds and pillow. The 3 of us slept well on a king size bed. - Smart TV can sign in Netflix account - Wifi is good enough for social media scrolling - The staff all speaks English and courteous Here are the things I didn’t like: - The fragrance smell in the room is too overpowering. I’m not sure if this is common practice across all hotels in Indonesia as it is my first visit to Batam and Indonesia. My toddler and I keep coughing as we have sensitive nose and I myself am allergic to perfume. Not sure if it comes from the bedding or the centralised vent. I usually tie my hair into a bun. When I reached home in Singapore and untie my bun, I can even smell the fragrance. Even our soiled clothes also have it. - In the afternoon I switched off the aircond because it was too cold, and I smelled cigarette smoke. Not sure if it was from the aircond vent or from the door gap. Anyway, it was very unpleasant. The hair dryer in our room was faulty and no hot air, I called reception and promptly someone came with a replacement. Overall the stay was ok. Newly renovated hotel, contemporary design. Walking distance to Grand Batam Mall. However crossing the road is a challenge. Can order food delivery to hotel. Circle K opposite the hotel. Can buy bottled water easily anytime of the day.

We are very frequent visitors of Batam, particularly the Nagoya area & we have stayed in countless properties. This is the first time we’ve stayed in Artotel & the main reason(s) for this is primarily because of the many positive reviews from past hotel guests and we were definitely not disappointed! Not only are the rooms comfortable with all the necessary amenities but their service quality is above average & memorable. Particular mention must be accorded to Ms Yuni (Duty Mgr) who handled a situation we had during our short stay. She was very professional in her approach to the problem & she exuberated warmth & compassion in doing so. Kudos to her & her team. We will definitely be back for repeat stays at this fine property. Check in was pushed from 2pm to 3pm and 3.30pm.

We were assigned a non-smoking room. However, the room was filled with smoke smell that made it really hard to sleep. In addition, the corridors had smoke smell. They used some awful strong fragrance to try to musk the smell in the room and corridors, to no avail.

Perfect for shopping! Stayed here for the location and wasn't disappointed. It’s a 5-minute walk to Grand Batam and BCS Mall. The room was modern, clean, and the bathroom was huge. Great value if you want to be near all the best food and malls.

Small arrival lobby that reeked of sewage smell. Breakfast was pathetic and most of the food was cold. Utensils and cups were not replenished in time. Won't ever go back.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would highly recommend it. The rooms were clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The staff were friendly, professional, and always willing to help, which made the experience even better. The location was excellent, close to key attractions and easy to get around. Breakfast was delicious with a good variety of options, and the overall service exceeded my expectations. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, quality, and great service.

Very convenient location, CK only in front if hotel, lots of eateries (a2 food court) and massage parlor nearby. BCS and Grand Batam mall just walking distance. If you want to go to GB, just make sure you cross the road in front of Fore. And friendly staff too. Overall very satisfying stay.

the staff at ground floor did not check number of box sent to me by the kek lapis shop. The staff only gave me 1 box and not 2 boxes as it suppose to be. I was in a hurry to go the the jetty. however, the staff whatsapp me telling that there is another box for me (from the same shop) when i was already at the ferry jetty and about to depart to Johor. request the staff to immediately to send over to Jetty but unfortunately the staff cannot do it. My advise: It will be great if the staff to double check the number of boxes in the store room before hand over it to the customers.

Could have been at 5 star review for this 3 year old property. Friendly staff. For the price, you are getting good value in terms of room size, bare basic amenities and breakfast which isna good declicious spread. It is a newish property so quite clean still. No disposable slippers, they provide flip flops. No hand towels. The linens - bed sheets, pillow cases - is another story. They don't look worn but are stained, unclean and smelly. I doubt it is a housekeeping staff issue unless they are handling the laundry in house. Likely their contract laundry service is below par. Won't recommend until they fix this issue.

My friends enjoyed the breakfast spread and its central location. Grand Batam Mall, the Penuin market, and other shops were all easily accessible via a less than 10 min walk.

This is a solid stay. Close to ATM and shops if needed. Air conditioning wasn’t strong if working and there was a little mold on the sink that I think was messing with my allergies. Also it is not sound proof lol. But the staff were nice, the room design was cool, and I felt generally safe.

Artotel Batam is a rather new property, which opened in 2022. It is operated by an Indonesian hospitality group which manages various hotels and food and beverage establishments in Indonesia. The main reason I had picked this hotel is its prime location which is within walking distance to the following places: 1. Pasar Penuin (Wet Market) - 160m (2mins walk) 2. A2 Food Court - 400m (5mins walk) 3. Grand Batam Mall - 650m (9mins walk) 4. Batam City Square Mall - 750m (11mins walk) There are many amenities such as dining outlets, massage centres, shops and convenience stores in the hotel vicinity. The nearest ferry terminal to the hotel is Harbour Bay, which is 4.3km away. I took a ride-haling service from the ferry terminal to the hotel in the morning which costs IDR35K. Tip: When boarding a ride-hailing service from Harbour Bay Ferry Terminal to the hotel, remember to head to the pickup point behind the Bayfront Mall carpark and not at the mall entrance beside KFC. I was told by a taxi driver it is not a ride-haling service point. Alternatively, head to Batam Marriott Hotel Harbour Bay to board your ride. The hotel had collaborated with four Indonesian artists to design its rooms which features a blend of Indonesian art and a modern minimalist design. There are 138 artsy guest rooms in two different types: Studio 30 (30 square metres) and Studio 45 (45 square metres). I had booked the Studio 30 King for my one night stay here. The rooms are from level 1 to 7, which I was accommodated in Room No. 208 on level 2. The room is non-carpeted. I like that it is spacious and offers a huge full length window. During the day, I could hear some traffic noises. Thankfully, all is quiet during the night, which I had a restful sleep. As mentioned by other reviewers, there is no electric kettle in the room. I had to prepare hot water using the coffee machine. Although there is no SMART TV, there are cable TV channels for my enjoyment in the comfort of my room. There is no USB charging port here. However, a universal socket is provided on the left side of the bed and work desk. The bathroom is spacious. The shower pressure and temperature worked fine during my stay. There are two food and beverage outlets, Eatspace and Barspace at the hotel. Room service is offered here. Additionally, there is an art gallery in the hotel lobby called Artspace. Over here, guests and the local community can admire the artworks created by Indonesian artists. The hotel partners with Abita Spa to offer in-room massages for guests staying here. The price starts from IDR300K for a 60mins massage. Do note that there is no gymnasium and pool here. But who needs these amenities when you can enjoy many fun activities in Batam. I like Artotel Batam for its spacious, modern and clean room. Considering its prime location, this hotel is great value for money. I would love to return here again on my next visit to Batam.

These a plus point for safety measures. - Every staff is friendly & attentive to the details. * The hygiene of the environment is great. Food preparation & servings are handled well. * - Easy Transportation. - Clean Rooms : Spacious. - Corridor is big & it is a great measure for Safety. - Internet Access: Unstable connection on 1 of the night. There was some mix-up over the delivery of our shopping packages at the hotel counter. We were told no other items arrived (i.e. 1 batch out if 2 batches). We had to trouble the shop to send their staff to the hotel recep (as they claimed they delivered it the day before) and take photos of the items at the counter. When we arrived back at the hotel and asked for our packages, the hotel staff took out a different one without asking us what items we were looking for. Our room details were attached to the packages but the hotel staff did not check.
