The view
The hotel is very outdated including the room we were staying in, the carpet was filthy toilets were not properly clean, curtains hanging off as well as wall light fixtures, windows didnt close properly! Cracks around window, the windows also had mould in them .
It was ok
The room was to far away
Very convenient and well priced

The location/view
On arrival told breakfast was not included. Booked with booking.com chose hotels with included so will contact them. Arrived early so room checked told it was ready..Then told on 4th fl lift only goes to 3rd. No warning . Room must of been one of the smallest you have .Not like any of the photos on the site. Windowsil was covered with sand. So not cleaned I understand it's an old building but this was obvious it covered the whole of the windowsil and couldn't have been missed rest was ok.My husband struggled to get in shower. As bathroom was so small. Water only dribbled out of sink tap. PAID £399 for 2 nights as rooms looked lovely and thought it would be worth it.. IT WASN'T..Didn't complain at time as didn't think we would be moved as thought you were full.
It was very clean wonderful views overlooking the sea the bed was good the room was lovely
The key to get into the room felt like it was going to snap everytime we went to open the door. The breakfast was a let down for continental the cooked breakfast was good.
We stayed here 5 years ago and were excited to see it had been refurbished - but only some rooms. Unfortunately we didn't get to stay on one of those, we had a huge room with a great view, but it was very run-down and shabby sadly. The staff were professional, breakfast was good and the pizzas were outstanding! We hope to stay again when the entire place has been given a long overdue upgrade.
The room was worn out, the toilet in the bathroom particularly.
The property was lovely and clean very comfortable
The WiFi was not working at all. When asked was informed it was the whole of the street. However when going to a bar next door the internet worked there.
Bathroom was very clean .Staff were helpful Good location.
Room was very plane no pictures on the wall. no chest of drawers. no help book or information in the room. .
Great location with lovely staff!
I don't know what this property is but it is definitely not a hotel. Very good location and the staff is very accommodating and those are the only positives for me.
No parking at the hotel. They have a partnership with the local Q-Park, but it is a good 10-minute walk from the hotel. The whole building is very dated and doesn't justify the price we paid for the night. We paid extra for the room with the sea view but it wasn't worth it because windows were too dirty and covered in bird mess. Please see the picture.
The Location was perfect ... prime infact😀The hotel room was tired and needed a total overhaul, i did speak to the lovely lady who said all the rooms need upgrading... i would check this before booking again not very good value the £359 price tag for 2 nights , room only the moment ... i would go back if the room 358 is updated .
The room was very poor only the view and 2 toilets made it ok... very old furniture and shabby ( as i said this is on their list to upgrade) Curtains were hanging off the rail & fell off in my hands on my head.
The location of hotel.
Water left in room, did not know how long it had been there, having to get to hotel before finding out about discounted parking, closer to hotel. There was not any choices of some mixers which meant going elsewhere to get a drink.
The exterior was lovely, and the staff at check-in were friendly and accommodating, especially when we asked if they could store our bags.
The hotel is in major need of updating. The hallways look like something out of The Shining, and our room was equally disappointing. There was no headboard, the kettle leaked and scalded my feet, the curtains were shabby, and the mattress had uncomfortable springs. The bathroom also had black mould stains, and the electricity shorted several times during our stay. We asked if there was a better room available, but were told there wasn’t one. That may well have been true, but there was very little apology or acknowledgement of the issues, which was disappointing. Overall, the hotel has potential, but it really needs significant investment and refurbishment.
Location
Cramped dated room
Location apart from that nothing , although the traffic and people screaming on the road felt like a gang war going next to you.
The room felt like furness when we entered although it was hot weather but ventilation was worst , paid £225 for a night but the facilities were equivalent to a £45 B&B , I think just paid for the location, worst part is the check in time which is 4 pm and check out is 10 a.m which is ridiculous and don't think that is fair although staff did help to accommodate us 30 min early but don't think that is good enough, until and unless you don't really have any other option I won't recommend it , it is quite outdated rooms and price on normal day should not be more than £60. Shout out to the annoying seagulls who ensured we don't get a good sleep starting from around 4 am , they were super loud, couldn't even close the window since ventilation is terrible and you might suffocate
The location is nice as its right next to the beach.
There was no air conditioning. We stayed in a family room on the roof and it was boiling hot. The staff did bring an extra fan but it did not do nothing. The biscuits were expired and the bedding wasn’t very clean. The beds were ripped. Totally not worth paying 180£ per night. Disappointed as they did not approved the cancellation and I had to stay there with my two little kids.

Good space and facilities.
Wifi very poor - didn't work in some rooms. Very stuffy - no air con and only one fan. Smelt a bit - could do with nice air diffusers to create a better experience (company called The Science of Scent would be able to solve this).
The location is perfect, the room was a good size and comfortably fit myself and my three children. Check-in was quick and easy and the room had all the amenities you would need- plenty of towels, a hairdryer, tea and coffee etc. An added bonus, that we were VERY grateful for, was shampoo, conditioner and body wash as I had completely forgotten to bring any. Although we didn’t use it, it was good to know that there was a restaurant and bar had we needed it. I did read that some people think the place is dated, however in my opinion it’s an old building and that is part of its charm!
The only inconvenience was the parking, however I wouldn’t mark them down on this as parking in Weymouth can be a struggle anyway and sea front parking is significantly limited. They did provide options for using the multistorey car park.
The location of this hotel was fabulous, facing the beach and right by the arcades. The streets behind were all lovely shops and just a couple of minutes walk to the harbour.
The photos don’t match the room hotel at all. The ground floor was reasonably modern and linked to the outside bar which served great food too. As you go up the hotel to the rooms and corridors they’re very dated with cracks, paint missing, lights fittings with bits missing. The rooms has cracked tiles and stained carpets. Within the first 10 mins in the room the toilet was leaking, we reported to reception who had it fixed whilst we were out but on return they’d used one of the bath towels to mop up and just left it on the floor. Also there were baths shown in the rooms online so we did request this for our 2 year old but we didn’t get it, we just had a shower.
The view from the room across the bay was beautiful. The room was spacious, with ample towels and toiletries. The staff were really helpful, professional and I was very impressed.
Sleeping issues - Noise. Wow..the hotel is very near a nightclub/late night bar, so noisy! The windows are thin glass and curtains are thin, so noise insulation was atrocious. If a travelodge noise/window insulation was an 8 rating, this hotel would be a 1. Light - there is a really bright light right outside maybe 30cm on the wall next to the window. This maybe out of the hotel's control, but having paper thin curtain is definitely something to improve on. It baffles me how a hotel can charge so much and neglect such a fixable problem. Cleanliness - dusty surfaces, leftovers from previous guests in drawers. The big one was the many bird droppings all over the windows. It clearly hadn't been cleaned in a while and was so gross. Safety - access to lifts is very well sign posted, especially as the hotel layout is unique (it is a maze!). However, the stairs to the ground floor were so hard to find and in an emergency there was no clear signage to avoid lifts. I can't comment on the beds as I ended up sleeping in my car (because of light and noise outside).
Near all amenities staff were great extremely helpful
The room albeit nice one of the updated rooms still did need some tlc perhaps new curtains a lick of paint just too freshen up and a new toilet as this was very badly stained
Beds were comfy, location was good by the beach, if a little noisy from boy racers outside, initially in the evening. Staff were always helpful, when there. Nice parking discount at Q Park multi storey. 5 mins walk.
Room 206 has HUGE stain on carpet in room, we advised front desk. All Windows were filthy, both inside and out. Room marketed as "Seaview", once you balanced on the end of a bed! Room was a 1970s time warp decor(especially bathroom). Hotel had a jaded , I need a revamp look about it. Beers in the bar, all imported mass produced rubbish. Sell local craft please! Breakfast only available from 8am!! We left at 7.30am.
The location was good. Staff ok
Trying to find parking was bad. We took up the discount offer advertised. Parked up for 2 days. When tried to get out of carpark qr code didn't work. What should have cost about £12 cost £50. The hotel was in need of a serious deep clean. The lift was a disgrace. Rubbish and sand left for over 2 days. Our room was in the attic. Sea view was a small window and we shared the roof with the seagulls? Wardrobe very dusty Pillows stained. Bathroom very small. Shower head broke, door to shower would suit a small person. Black mould. Terrible water pressure dust on all skirting boards and under furniture. Our room was long walk from the lift and up some dodgy stairs - a hazard for elderly people to say the least. I advise you not to take the risk. Over £200 pounds for 2 uncomfortable and noisy nights?
Every staff member we encountered throughout our stay were friendly, helpful and welcoming. Excellent shower, a beautiful view outside our window and very comfortable beds. We had a lovely stay.
Lovely
Nothing
Location
Needs some TLC but very comfortable
All good
Can’t beat the location, and a lovely apartment
Die Lage ist super und das Personal ist super freundlich!
Zimmer war sehr klein aber ok
Had a lovely weekend break here in a family room, overlooking the sea. Knew exactly what we were getting so it wasn’t a surprise, yes the hotel is a little tiered and dated but I actually found it charming. The staff were all lovely. Parking is a nightmare, out the front is just 1 hour at at time, they do have cheaper parking in a multi-storey nearby, but my car was too big to park there so reception mentioned a few others we could try, we got there at 8pm on a Friday night, car parks seemed to still be full, but after the show ended there were spaces by the theatre. And we found the car parks more inland had spaces when we had to go out on the Saturday morning. Had drinks outside on the terrace on the Saturday evening which had a nice atmosphere. There was a singer on the Friday night, but we were too tired and could hear it all in the room. Room had air con which was welcome during the heatwave. Beach was just across the road.
The only thing that I can say that went well was going to the beach and enjoying the day. The staff were very polite and helpful.
The room was not great at all. Paying £200+ for the room we got felt like robbery compared to the photos on the profile. The room looked old, the bathroom made so much noise every time you flushed the toilet, the room window facing a back street was super noisy because the England game was on, and everyone was making a lot of noise. The halls smelled like an old church. My partner said she could smell a damp-like smell from somewhere within the room. There was no fan unless you asked for one, and you would be lucky to get one, considering how hot the room was and where it was situated in the hotel. I know this hotel has more buildings, but this room that I was in really was something trapped in the past. I'll not be staying there again; I'll locate an apartment next time. Please, to the owner/owners, please take the time to refurbish those surrounding rooms during the hotel's downtime. I was in room 160, and it needs improvement.
Staff, location close to beach.
Price was very high for a basic room with no Wifi, breakfast items were stale
The worst hotel I've stayed in since an ex Soviet horror years ago. Booked three rooms at short notice £221 each which you would expect some level of quality. Dirty, cramped, hot, noisy. Could describe further but all three couples agreed one word sums up - "terrible". Didn't eat there, my wife wouldn't even have a cup of tea in the room as everything was so dirty. All three couples took up separately with the manager who promised he would take up with the owner on their return three days later. Needless to say no follow up. Staff looked beaten like they were dealing with endless complaints. Avoid.
Location was good for us
Not running hot water for two days mould in the rooms no fresh bedding or towels we had to have a cold wash in the sink in the evening because we couldn’t wait no longer when asking for money back so we couldn’t stay else where they found a room after saying they had none a down grade from are room it was worse we paid £290 for two nights will not refund us or even give us something back told us to contact booking.com witch we did an they can’t come to an agreement the hotel lady was so rude when we was trying to sort this issue with are stay would never go here again
Location
The photographs promoted by Booking.com showed a large window over looking the sea, we paid extra for this preferred large room with large windows. On checking in we were given a room on level 3 in the antic with a small window to the far right of the room, when I questioned staff regarding being allocated the wrong room, they replied all these rooms were their deluxe. Our bed was a 4’6’’ bed, it had ply board under the mattress, the bathroom was looking old, paint missing on the the doors however, the hotel had installed timber panels painted green behind the bed to give the photographs some feel of modernisation however, the rest was disappointment.
Fully booked but discovered a room free.! He checked room was ready before ‘renting’. Took a few quid off price because it wasn’t one of their refurbished rooms 😂 It was a staff quarters at best. Tiny, hot, window on to a derelict backstreet that proved to be a cut through for revellers all night long. Left at 5:30 am. Ruined the weekend as no sleep, early get up nothing open. Well done 👏
The big bed was very comfortable even though the sheet was a protective covering could do with nicer sheets on top . The bed was the only thing good about this hotel but it was a very good location . The staff were very friendly .
Small rubbish bedside tables needs proper furniture though the wallpaper n panelling was nice in our bedroom . This hotel needs updating, en-suite old fashioned , A toilet seat that didn't actually fit the toilet. The view from our room was looking at loads of old rubbish . The noise was loud in the early hours . Had to pay for breakfast on top of expensive room which was nicely presented by nice chef but it was cold .Even had to pay for the continental breakfast which was £6.95 which was very limited . You have to vacate room by 10am .The hotel doors close at 10pm but you are given a key n fob to get back in later. . It Was a very disappointing experience staying here . It was not worth the money .
The location was excellent right on the beach
The decor in the whole hotel was dated, the en-suite was in a very poor state of repair there was rust around the bath plug hole the toilet seat had narks all over it etc etc
Hotel slightly shabby but room was excellent with good view of beach
More lights needed in upstairs corridors
Easy access to the beach and the local restaurants
No air conditioning windows full of bird shit. The glass for the drink where not clean from the previous night
Clean fresh modern updated room and good quality shower room. Quite different to many other stays in Weymouth
Not the best breakfast. And not really worth the extra cost.
Location Staff we lovely
The rooms are so dated !! Curtains ( if you can call them that) falling off... Just shabby...
The only good thing was the location. Room was disgusting, dated furniture, chips on the toilet seat and bath. The only window we had was frosted glass. The bed linen smelt musky. It was not worth £160 without a breakfast.
Location was excellent. We paid extra for a sea view and the room was spacious, bathroom was in a decent working order and in room facilities were spot on. The two lads on reception were very helpful as we arrived early to bag drop. Lovely outside space to have a drink and sit down. Excellent place to have a beach stay
Curtains really need to be black out. The sun comes directly though and the road can be noisy early on as things get opened up and streets cleaned. Black out blinds would have helped to go back off
Nice friendly people
Everything
Staff were pleasant and helpful
Confusing system for parking..
Location was amazing not too far from the town. The hotel was amazing apart from the shower could have done with a new base but all in all a great stay and would stay again l. Also the staff needs to learn barista skills as he dint know how to make a hot chocolate he just mixed the milk and power together and it was cold
Location
Had to pay 50pounds for parking . Was not informed they changed there parking arrangement . Very disappointed .
The hotel is in a good location to access beachfront and centre. The hotel staff seemed kind/helpful and listened to my issues with our room.
The Hotel smelt like mould on upper floors, the room itself had a strong smell of mould and damp, the lock on the room door was faulty, pigeon faeces on carpet and on top of wardrobe, pigeons nested in storage cupboard in bathroom, the interior of wardrobe was coated in dust, the curtains were stained, the windows to the room were very dusty/dirty and did not lock which meant the noise from the road in the early hours of the morning was awful, toilet was disgusting and shower was blocked, mattress was collapsed on one side and touched bed base when laid on. The room seemed as it may have previously been used as a storage room. When looking at the room from outside the hotel you could clearly see the rooms surrounding are being used for storage/ undergoing works.
Location fantastic
Noise in promenade
The view from the room window was amazing, the bed was very comfortable.
Firstly when we checked in and were told our room number 201 and given a key we was told we were on the second floor, and had to vacate by 10am or we would have to be charged more money, we went to the second floor and was unable to find the room, we eventually went through a door that never had any room numbers displayed, a very narrow doorway to discover we had to go up more stairs to our room, We went into the room and tried to lock the door, it would not lock, so we had to put a chair in front of the door, Then we went into the bathroom, well we were horrified that the toilet seat was hanging off the toilet where the seat was not fixed on, Then looked at the shower it was absolutely disgusting with dirt all round the edge of the cubicle and also on the floor of the shower inside which prevented us from using it, The carpet looked like it hadn't been hoovered all bits on the floor, the skirting boards were filfy, and one of the bedside tables had all tea/coffee drip marks down it, the cup that I picked up had dirty marks on it preventing us from having a drink, so for the money we paid for a room that we couldn't shower in and couldn't have a drink, and the TV wouldn't work, we had an absolutely bad experience and definitely wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, We booked this room through Booking .com with three stars and some good reviews. I really don't know how people can give a good review about this hotel. The occasion we were there for was a complete shambles.
Location excellent. Room was very spacious . Staff were friendly
The shower took ages to warm up as did the hot water out the tap. Also there's no proper heating in the room so I wouldn't stay in winter. There was 1 heater in the room but that wouldn't have been enough when it's really cold. Also would have liked a small fridge in the room, it was certainly spacious enough to fit one.
Excellent position. Well run hotel.view of beach.
Bathroom small room a bit small.could do with towel rail in shower
Location was sort on
The room for the price ot worth it.
Fantastic location, great staff. The tv had all the UK on-demand catch-up services which in my experience is unusual. Sea-front location is excellent
It's a typical old British seaside hotel. A little noisy, but quaint...could do with a modern coffee machine etc....
I loved how it was on the beach, and close to everything I wanted to do.
The only critique would be the very late check in 4pm and early check out 10 am. However they were very accommodating by taking my luggage so that I could look around.
Nice, helpful staff, nice room with sea view. Continental breakfast was quite cheap.
Nothing
The location was good as opposite beach with good sea view. The room decor was very nice.
Room was smaller than exprected. There was little room to put anything in bathroom, as no shelves, just the sink. Not much storage in room itself. No room mini fridge or coffee maker. The bed was uncomfortable. Bedding nice but matress felt old and lumpy. Had a back ache after staying. Pillows had little filling in them.
Nao gostei do cheiro do quarto, cheiro de mofo
O quarto estava bem sujo, o carpete estava muito sujo. Cheiro de mofo e sujeira, banheiro também bem sujo
Beach front & close to the shops
Bathroom needed updating
Close to the beach, really quiet and staff very helpful and friendly.
The room needed a few improvements, marks on carpet, ceiling and some mould on tiles in bathroom, just needed refreshing.
location, sea view room, bar out the front of the hotel
double bed, really need to upgrade these to long size, very noisy at night from people going home from clubs etc
Location
Very dated lift only goes to the third floor
Excellent location. Very central. Great staff Perfectly adequate for a short stay
Staff very good location excellent shower very good but room 105 is a mess Stained ceiling and walls cracks in wall furniture way past ifs best I’m afraid Not worth £177 pounds not including breakfast If all rooms like that would advise friends not to stay there
See above
Lovely place, perfect for our requirements,
Bit noisy, with late comers at night and rooms next door
Situation perfect for all amenities, shops, seafront, harbour. Staff very friendly, room with sea view excellent, spotlessly clean, excellent breakfast.
Nothing
Great location. Lovely staff. Clean hotel.
We had damp and mould in the room. Luckily, we only needed it for a place to sleep and shower.
Great location on the sea front
How central it was.
*posting on behalf of someone else * Hotel was clean , friendly staff and nice area but for the money spent I feel breakfast should be included with rooms
O ur stay in fairhaven was relaxing. The staff were very polite tom carried our bags to room .Room was very nice spotless bathroom comfty, bed seaview The breakfast was amazing cooked and cerals and fruit. The drinks were very reasonable and pleasant to sit outside with sea view. We will be back again
Hotel and staff were so helpful, position is excellent
Nothing
On the seafront . Good value .
Nothing
Fabulous location , friendly staff , comfy room Cooked breakfast (new) great value for money . Did suggest a smaller portion would be more acceptable as we left far too much .
The room we had ,twin was on second floor , single glazing ,which made it quite noisy and as it was quite windy ,could feel a draught as one bed was under window.
The room was lively and clean Very comfty bed and the sea view was awsome.
NA
So few things for improvement 1:could do with little bit music in the background in the bar as it’s so quiet with out 2:signs for the toilets to show were they are from down stairs, plus better signage from the 3rd floor to show the way out. 3: I know you had only just started breakfast but a menu to show what’s on it and and what’s included with it 4: very important please check the shower in the room we stayed as it was freezing unless you ran the hot tap first and then you had to try and adjust the shower for correct temp needs a thermostat I would say as early burn. When customer go to leave you was very friendly but always ask how their stay was as this would get you the feed back you need..
Absolutely made the stay exceptional was the staff very friendly and efficient The breakfast was to die for 👍🏻
Minor judgment was tv too big for size of room and far too high o wall to watch Tea /coffee cups more aesthetically appealing than functional (very small) Owners were investigating my concerns 👍🏻
Location
Would be better if you served full breakfast menu
Great location on the sea front and very obliging and helpful staff. An ideal place to stay for a long weekend and explore the surrounding area.
Location great..bed really comfy..
Run down and dated
All good
All good.
Needed room for only 1 night. Very accommodating & great value. Had twin room by choice at back of hotel Quiet except sea gulls chattering normal weymouth Varied continental breakfast. Hosts & staff very helpful Lift to all floors excellent Grade 2 listed building so be aware of steeper stairs & narrower corridors. 5 steps up i found easy with crutches. Smoking vaping outside only
This is such a nice B&B. staff are friendly and helpful
Great location
The sea view
Easy checkin very modern room
Bed could have been slightly bigger
Great seafront hotel
Bed was so hard - all other facilities were perfect - very clean
Fantastic location . great room with sea views. Nice reception and bar area
Good do with a small fridge . Some shelves in the bathroom
We had a wonderful stay at Fairhaven Hotel in Weymouth with our family. It’s truly a family-friendly place, which made our trip even more enjoyable. Our room had a beautiful sea view — such a nice thing to wake up to. The room was clean and spacious, with a big bath, and we liked the little extras like tea, coffee, and biscuits. The hotel also offers breakfast, and the pizza there was really tasty. We had a lovely time in Weymouth overall. There’s a big kids’ amusement park right nearby and lots of nice cafés around. It’s a great spot for a family trip. Would happily stay here again!
Perfect location right by the beach, super convenient. Staff were friendly, room was clean and comfortable. Great value for the price!
Room was ok but needed upgrading and repainting. Big water stain on ceiling and paint work very tired and marked
Only £80 for a lovely room with a Seaview. The room was modern, although some other rooms looked a little dated so glad we chose the Seaview.
We was woken very early by the noise of the tractor raking the beach, however this isn't something that the hotel can help. Our only criticism really was that we only found out about the cheaper and free overnight parking suggestions after it was too late and paid the dearer tariffs on the esplanade. The information was provided in our room, but as I said, we had already paid £12 for overnight.
