The location was great. A bit noisy with the live music, but it was ok.

Room was a bit 'old'.. but comfortable.

Bed was so uncomfortable, very small, obviously slept on one side, as it was like sleeping on a cliff edge. The shower water pressure was appalling. Facilities were poor including tea & coffee. Extremely small standard double room. Extremely noisy.

The Hotel all round was very good. They even had a happy hour in the lovely little bar, between 4-6 and again 8-10pm. The cooked breakfast was excellent. The room was on the front of the hotel overlooking the sea. The staff were very friendly and helpful from the reception through to the breakfast room.

Everything. From the moment we step into the Rex we are made to feel welcome. The food is amazing, the service is first class and the rooms are lovely always clean and tidy. Having a sea view is an added treat. Staff stay at The Rex which is always nice so we see a familiar face but also says a lot about the owners and management. The Rex is second to none. An amazing team.

Price nice to have sea view balcony but in room could have done lot more up dating paint work not very good . Bathroom bit mouldy around bath to me it’s a hours work a could have done with a fridge in room fit nice under table. A soap dispenser was empty so we went out an got our own . So for the money I payed think things help for me an my wife it didn’t have the Waw factor..

Location and decor in the upgraded room was lovely, spacious and very elegant. Perfect position for everything. We were lucky finding a parking with the parking pass but I can image that it could be challenging.

The only thing that let it down was the poor quality bed sheets. They were too small for the bed and no fitted sheet. By morning everything lad slipped off and we were on a bare mattress. Not a sanitary prospect even though it looked clean.

Shower power was tepid at best. Lack of parking not explained prior to booking resulting in x2 £7.30 in additional parking fees. No one came to serve me at breakfast so I checked out of the property.

Location was exceptional and the breakfast was delicious and overall good value for money but could do with a few upgrades.

Being on the beach front there was arcades and rides which lit up the room and you could hear quite a bit of noise from outside as the windows are single pane. so the room could do with black out blinds/curtains. The bed wasnt the most comfortable and the shower trickled out water as well.

Camera all'ultimo piano spaziosa ma un po' calda. Letto comodo e bagno grande. Al check in ci è stata offerta gentilmente la possibilità di avere un permesso per parcheggiare nei dintorni gratuitamente e senza dover spostare l'auto ad ogni ora.

La doccia (nella vasca con tenda) molto faticosa con pochissima pressione dell'acqua. Colazione scadente e poco varia.

The hotel is close to the town and the breakfast is fabulous, all freshly cooked to order.

I could hear everything in the bathroom in the next room.

Filling and swiftly cooked breakfast, from a good list. Given the very competetive accommodation price, I was very impressed by the all round excellence of the facilities.

We had a fantastic 2night stay. We stayed in room 2with a sea view and balcony and made the most of that as it was in the shade and that certainly was needed this weekend. The room was lovely and clean,beds comfy and the housekeeping refreshed all for day 2 which was fantastic. Check in was hassle free as was getting served in the bar which we found really great prices. Breakfast was fantastic, cooked fresh and the porridge was the best I have tasted in years. Really it was so tasty. Loved the fact as well that all yogurts and milk was kept in the fridge so kept cold, a nice touch. All the staff were really friendly and chatty. Car parking is a drop lucky situation but the fact its free with the returnable permit pass was a bonus, but the main payable car park is only 5min walk so no massive headache if you can't street park. Walk into town and harbour is 5 mins if that and lots independent shops too which is nice to see. Have to say as well weymouth is so clean, no litter and the council were emptying the bins early as the birds were in there! It was a pleasure to stay here at the rex. We would certainly return and recommend you to all.

All the staff were exteremely helpful and friendly. Perfect location and ideal for lolcal resataurants and bars. Last minute break and everything was stress free. Will be back.

Great location with a lovely warm welcome from all of the professional staff, our room, which was on the front of the building, was very spacious and nicely decorated with everything that you require for your stay, the only thing that we would have liked was a fan due to the unforecastable good and hot weather, but that was just a minor thing, overall a fabulous hotel, Its been a long time since I have seen families enjoying a resort such has Weymouth.

A party of us went to the Rex for a week on a coach trip.. We were treaterd like royalty by every member of the staff we came across from start to finish. The hotel was first class and provided with everything we could have wished for.Our room was immaculate. The food supplied by the UNSEEN kitchen staff was absolutely superb as was our waiters and waitresses. We are looking forward to our next visit there.

Having to go home 😞

Very pleasant reception on arrival, lift, bar with lounge and TV, and an acoustics room. Well appointed double room (single not available), ensuite, TV, etc. perfect views of beach, harbour, and amusement park. Not far from the theatre ( a good programme every day/night). Excellent breakfasts, and dinner is also available. All staff very helpful and pleasant. Only 3 stars(dear,dear), it is well worth the extra star. It seems that the 4 star hotels provide a gymnasium, sun-bed, sauna, etc. Why bother, when you have the salt sea, a beautiful beach, and refreshing sea air. I rest my case.

As you drive along the seafront towards the harbour, you'll come across this impressive Grade 2 listed building situated alongside Alexandra Gardens and the stunning sandy beach of Weymouth, the jewell in the crown on Dorsets Jurassic Coast. Many of the rooms have impressive seaviews, with several having the benefit of a balcony. All rooms are well appointed and have ensuite bathrooms and a hospitality tray. There is a bar, lounge/entertainment room, and a "cellar-style" restaurant serving a delicious breakfast with the option to dine in at night, choosing from a menu changed daily. Many of the staff have been there several years, which speaks volumes. It is obvious they enjoy working at this hotel. The General Manager Lisa prides herself in giving the customers an excellent experience and is ably assisted by Brian and the rest of the team. If you're thinking of staying in Weymouth, either for a beach holiday or other function, you won't be disappointed if you choose the Hotel Rex

We had false information regarding the parking therefore we got a parking ticket. We got told we could leave our car in zone F and move before 10am on sunday morning however we moved our car at 8am and got a parking ticket

Das Hotel liegt sehr gut in der Nähe des Zentrums, des Bahnhofs und des Strandes. Das Frühstück war gut und das Personal sehr freundlich. Wir konnten unsere Fahrräder in einer großen Garage in der Nähe des Hotels unterstellen.

Die Eintelzimmer waren sehr klein und relativ dunkel. Der Wasserdruck in der Dusche war so gering, dass Duschen kaum möglich war.

The most important part of this is a 10 steps from the beach.The price is really really good and the breakfast included in price. It is a great place to go and the food amazing 😊.The perfect place for a big family.

The sea veiws, central location to shops , harbour. The room was a good size very clean as was the on suite. The hotel had wonderfull helpfull freindly staff a lovely clean bar area with good prices. Beds were very comfy. Great that the hotel had a lift.

Would prefer a walk in shower than a bath especially with a disability Didnt like the shower curtains abit old fashioned . Could have done with a mini fridge an iron and ironing board in the room.

The parking situation. There is no where to park and we couldn’t find a single space anywhere close. We ended up driving around for a long time until we finally found a space, but we had to go and move the car again at 9am as it was a bus lane. Luckily we spotted someone leaving at 10pm and managed to get their spot. This then led to not having anywhere to park the next day as the hotel wanted the parking pass back and you could only pay for an hour pay and display outside the hotel. We ended up keeping the pass but getting phone calls asking for it back later in the day. We felt like we had no option but to keep it otherwise we would have to leave Weymouth early and cut the holiday short.
