L'emplacement.

Comme je vous l'avais déjà écrit et évoqué au téléphone, l'hôtel n'a pas nettoyé la chambre pour le deuxième jour contrairement à ce qui est prévu par la réglementation pour un hôtel de ce type. Il nous a dit que c'est sa politique de nettoyer que 2 à 3 fois par semaine les chambres, alors que rien de tout cela n'est écrit dans booking.com lors de notre réservation. Nous demandons donc une indemnisation pour la journée où nous avons nous-mêmes fait le ménage !!! De plus, la réglementation britannique impose de faire le ménage chaque jour pour tout hôtel au-delà de 2 étoiles!!!? Nous demandons à booking.com d'intervenir pour obtenir notre indemnisation d'une journée y compris les dommages subis dans l'inconfort, soit de l'hôtel, soit de la plateforme, car nous avons fait confiance à Booking et nous sommes des fidèles clients ( genius 2). Nous comptons sur votre action.

Lage nahe dem Bahnhof ist super, weniger super ist, daß gegenüber der Parkplatz der Post ist - meine Freundin hat wege dem Lich tnd KOmmen und Gehen der Autos schlecht geschlafen.

Frühstück hätte etwas weniger Teevarianten, dafür zB auch Schinken für den Toast haben können.

The bed was comfy, and it was walking distance to the centre.

A couple of light fittings were broken - the bulbs worked but the shades were lose. There wasn't a bath - this wasn't mentioned at all. There's no parking with the hotel at all. We chose it as the hotel says there's limited permits on request but when we got there, they didn't know about any permits. Not that they were used and we missed them, they didn't know what i was talking about and pointed me to the paid car park. Also the TV in the room was tiny, and the bathroom had lots of rusty/dirty furnishings. The front door handle was broken at one point It is good for a cheap stay, but I think it was a little overpriced and they sell themselves as being more upmarket than it is.

Initial room allocated was basic and tired, at the first time of sitting the only chair in the room collapsed leaving my wife sprawled on the floor but luckily not injured by split wood and twisted metal legs, inspection of double bed revealed that although sheets etc were clean the mattress showed horrendous staining in varying shades of brown for the majority of its surface, after advising that we could not sleep on a bed in this state we were moved to a 'deluxe' room, larger and a little brighter but still very tired, the mattress in this room was also similarly stained but not to the extent of the first room. It was impossible to sleep on the mattress without rolling to the centre, After five and a half hour drive we were to late and too tired to try yet another room. After a very poor nights rest we were quite relieved too depart to a family event we had travelled to attend. Photographs were taken to evidence the above comments.

We were greeted by the friendly receptionist when we arrived & she recognised us as we have stayed here several times before. We were allocated room 21 on the ground floor as requested & the room is spacious & was clean.

The panels in the shower were not clean & the floor in the bathroom needed moping. Also I tried using the toilet brush & it needs replacing.

Breakfast was great and plentiful. Room was ideal size for the two of us. Location ideal as we were in town visiting family and to catch the City game. Walking into the City was easy.

More parking. Playing the 'must get back to catch parking space' was tiresome.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. A simple breakfast was included with the room price. The location is good for anyone travelling by train. We had no issues with noise from outside the hotel, as our room faced the back of the hotel.

Our room had not been properly cleaned when we checked in. It definitely wasn't "deluxe"! The bathroom especially was in an awful state, the toilet hadn't even been flushed and was disgusting. This started off our stay badly and made us feel a bit uncomfortable. There was also a lot of noise from the other rooms (the walls are also thin) and it seemed like someone was smoking in the room next door.

The shower, toilet and basin were clean, as were the bedding and the dining room and crockery, etc. There was a decent choice for breakfast, with a particularly good choice of teas and coffees, though it was completely d-i-y, The provision of a fridge and microwave for residents to store and heat their own food was unusual but welcome.

Cleaning didn't seem to extend to carpets. 'Grubby' would probably best describe most of them and we didn't feel comfortable walking in our room in bare feet. Bits of coffee sleeves on the floor in the our toilet and under the edge of one of our beds and a prominent piece of string/yarn on our staircase were all there when we arrived and still there when we left, three days later. A request to service the room, made after a spill which left some marking on the toilet floor, resulted in washing of the mugs and topping up of the tea tray but no obvious cleaning and no bed making.

The room was very hot and sleep disturbed by loud noise from plumbing when water was used in the next room. It was small and only a single bed was provided. This was ok for me as a single traveller but probably a squeeze for 2 people. Hotel not in the nicest part of town but this was reflected in the price.

Staff were very helpful, dealt with any queries quickly and efficiently. Hotel is a good cost effective base for multi day stays with facilities such as a 24/7 dining area inc microwave and toaster. So you could bring takeaways back. Its perfectly adequate for a cheap flexible base to stay in Norwich within 20mins walk of Castle mall and lots of local facilities. Continental breakfast very extensive and good.

Parking could be a challenge only 3 guest spaces for what is a decent size hotel with parking outside time restricted during day. Personally I like a cooked breakfast but it would not put me off booking again.

The hotel was in a fantastic location, just five minutes from the station. It was clean and very comfortable. The staff were friendly and personable. An absolute bargain price for the accommodation provided. Highly recommended!

Location was perfect, 5 minutes from the train station which is also right in the city centre, lots of options for the continental breakfast, would definitely stay here again. . Honestly I was more than satisfied with the whole experience, nothing negative to say.

The hotel itself is beautifully laid out in a stunning building with lots of character. It's a short walk (10 minutes) to the beach where there's a pub or pizza place to eat at. The beach was the nicest one on the Norfolk coast. The staff were very friendly at the hotel and there was lots of information about things to do nearby

Great location, close to the station, town and the football stadium without being so close that noise is a problem. The room itself was also very clean and spacious.

The room didn’t have blackout curtains and slatted blinds let a lot of light in. My room was also next to reception and it was quite noisy with people coming in and out. If you’re a light sleeper definitely request a room further away from the entrance.

La habitación doble deluxe era amplia y cómoda. El barrio parecía tranquilo y seguro, cerca de la estación pero un poquito mas alejado del centro.

El desayuno. Todo era envasado y salvo unas pocas piezas de fruta, no había nada fresco. Sin variedad de pan, solo mantequilla y mermelada. Sin jamón, sin tomate… y el café, de sobre. Zumos de bote y cereales en bolsitas.

The Staff were very friendly and helpful. Luggage could be left for a short while after check out, which was a plus. Within 10 minutes walk of the Railway Station.

If you're a light sleeper you might struggle - some of the rooms are opposite to a royal mail depot, with lots of vans coming and going from 3am onwards. Acoustic insulation is virtually non existent, and the noise is significant.

The communal fridge was a really useful idea

It was what I expected, clean, basic, great value for closeness to city centre! Flexible access. Car parked off road too was a bonus. However, only 3 spaces! But also looked ok to park outside on road overnight only if had been needed. Others staying were quiet too. Overall pleased.

A fair number of people sharing a toilet and shower room,although another toilet was on ground floor near reception. A little noisy from trains stopping for the night and then starting up early morning as my room was opposite. But acceptable for the price.

We had an issue during our stay whereby our rooms were close to the front door. (I was travelling with my partner and with a friend = 2 rooms were booked) The front door was very loud when closed, prone to being slammed - this disturbed us int he night, an argument also occurred int he night between staff and a guest that disturbed our sleep. The Hotel cannot be blamed for the actions of another guest, but they could do something about the slamming front door and I hope they will as otherwise this was a very pleasant stay

On arrival thought the hotel looked clean and tidy, greeted by receptionist who dealt with us quickly. Was disappointed in the room. On the whole it was small but clean however the curtains were awful!!! Looked liked a pattered dust sheet had been put up!! Ruined the room and made it look so cheap.

L’hotel si trova vicinissimo alla stazione anche se le due strade per arrivarci sono abbastanza isolate soprattutto di notte se fossi stata da sola avrei avuto un po’ di pensieri. Totale indipendenza. La camera carina, con finestra completamente apribile, bottiglie d’acqua tè e biscotti in camera. Molto economica

La colazione da rivedere, anche se economica c’è pochissima scelta al livello di cibo mentre enorme la selezione di te. Lo scarico della doccia e del lavandino non funzionavano bene.

The room was uncomfortably hot and placed on the ground floor next to reception, which was very noisy. I had to complain at 11.15pm and ask for them to keep the noise down. The booking said a deluxe double room with city view. There was no city view as we were on the ground floor and the view was a courtyard opposite other rooms and their windows. When asked about the room, I was told that I had to request a city view ahead of time with booking.com, which I've never heard of before. Whenever I have booked a room with a certain view, that is what is provided. I think they put us in a standard double but charged us for a deluxe. Overall, we were hoping for a comfortable and peaceful nights sleep and we got neither.

The reception ladies were really nice and welcoming.

The staff are always welcoming and friendly. I felt safe and well catered for during my stay. The fridge and microwave are excellent facilities that you don’t often get to access which made my stay very practical due to my dietary requirements.

There's free parking available, either on the hotel parking area or on the street at the side. The hotel is close to the station and we had an easy walk into Norwich. Staff were helpful, rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. This was a good price for a good hotel.

We were opposite the railway line and so it was a bit noisy at times, so we had to sleep with the windows closed. Watch out for the areas that are 'Residents parking' which are at the front of the hotel. Some bits of the decorating could do with a touch up. There's no air conditioning, but we were given an electric fan.

Staff wasn't all that talkative. The man at reception at checkout was probably the nicest. Other staff didn't even really talk to you or just gave you one word answers. A very small car park. There wasn't any room when we arrived so we had to park on the road. Risked a possible parking ticket as the lady receptionist wasn't sure where we could park without getting a fine. The shower was blocked up and started flooding the floor, which was a shame. The windows didn't open far at all, only around 3 cm. The room was extremely hot, and the one fan provided was very weak. We asked to use their iron, and it had loads of Limescale and burnt pieces on it, my Partner had to sit there scrubbing it. Lastly, what about the breakfast was continental? No baked goods, yoghurt that had gone off, no coffee machine just sachet coffees, packet porridge and limited cereal or toast items. This was a shame as we had seen good reviews. Me and my partner stay in hotels very regularly, some cheaper and didn't have complications like this.

Close to where we needed to be, very good on price, good range of breakfast cereals,

Not hoovered under beds in a while and a few maintenance jobs needed doing, curtain pole balancing on another, beds a little wobbly. A few light bulbs needed replacing. But still very good for the price we paid and would return for a stay.

We were here for 2 nights for business and had a wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived (and we did some 1 hour before the official check in time) the interaction from the reception staff was wonderful. We were shown several rooms, including a room that was an upgrade to the one we booked. Once checked in our room (4) was spotless and with a decent shower. The bed was super comfortable and with the extreme hot weather we found a fan on the bedside table and that was very much appreciated. Breakfast is self service continental with a wide choice (cereals, porridge, brown and white bread, jams, healthy bars, juice, vast choice of different teas and coffees, yogurt and fruit) more than enough for our needs. Please note the hotel does not provide evening meals, but there are restaurants near by and of course the train station and city centre are just a short walk (7-10 minutes) For the price and convenience of where this hotel is we thought it represented excellent value for money. All the staff went out of their way to answer numerous questions I had and we checked out this morning knowing that when we return to Norwich for more business meeting, this will be our first choice as it is easy to find, the parking is right outside the hotel (free parking from 18.30 - 08.00, but there is an additional 2 hours either side of this.) Only one observation and this is not a criticism of the hotel, but if you have a room that faces the Network Rail compound it would be nice if these rooms were provided with “black out blinds” as the yard has bright security lights which light up the rooms all night even when the curtains are drawn. Very clean, basic but value for money.

Not expecting air conditioning but we stayed during amber weather warning and heat unbearable. A fan was provided but only circulated the existing hot air. Bottled water not provided and communal fridge downstairs.

We were not welcomed in.but a man was rather vacant looking. Left us standing then told to sit. Nor shown to our room Not exactly an accessible property. Had booked specific room ahead but still asked again. Ladies were more helpful in adding a lste check out. Room was ok just not very hot water ar the hand basin. Comfortable bed.
