Close to city centre and shops. Close to parks and amenities. The room itself was comfortable and on suite was a nice size.

Friendly staff, easy check in, easy access.

The loud road, but that's obvious when you book it. Maybe thick curtains would help.

Communication was clear. The hotel was within walking distance of the bus station and city centre. The room was good and exactly what we needed for a 1-night stay. Would prefer and en-suite bathroom, but the shared one was clean.

The cupboards were dusty, with dirt stains, and discarded clothes from a previous guest were left in one of them. The grey bed throw had some food stains on it.

Location is good, not too far out of the centre. Really close to Sainsbury’s so very handy.

Staff were so lovely, helpful and friendly. Shower and toilets were nice, clean and quiet. The room facilities good, kettle etc. Resteraunt smelled and looked amazing, will be going to try their food soon!!

The room cleanliness was pretty poor. The room hadnt been hoovered, hair and tobacco on the bed so unlikely it was washed just re made. Walls a bit grubby. But room did as we needed it to for our night out and the lovely staff make up for faults.

The room was a good size, and they had provided a fan for the hot weather. Bed was comfortable, bathroom was clean and overall a pleasant enough stay. We didn't experience any noise from other guests, and the location was close to the city centre. The adjoining restaurant downstairs was delicious, and all vegetarian.

In spite of the fan the room was still very hot, but this was eventually solved by switching off the heated towel rail in the bathroom- finally found the switch above the bathroom door! No reception staff to help with this issue.

There was no check in desk, we had to wait 15 mins just to get a room key, rooms were needing touched up with paint, rooms were too hot. Noise downstairs was too much for 11pm and we were tired.

Toilet and bathroom are shared which fair enough that's how it goes for some places and totally respect that. But for a quick cheap last minute option with no others at time unless I paid more for the luxury then this is why I choose to go here.

Felt surreal staying above a curry restaurant but in a really good way. Kind of cool.

I think my room must have been over a kitchen, woken up at 5am by what sounded like cupboard doors being opened and closed noisily, carried on intermittently till mid morning.

Close to a big Sainsbury’s. Safe area. Easy to reach.

The radiator was on in 30°C+ weather and could not be switched off. When we called the front desk because there was no one around after the door was opened for us, they called back after an hour from not picking up and I told them about the radiator issue and the fact that although two adults were booked, only 1 towel had been provided and they said they’d fix it. An hour later when we got back to the hotel, nothing had been fixed so I called again and they picked up and said sorry and would be right there. They did not come for 30 minutes and we had to leave for dinner reservations. Once we got back, they had provided one more towel and the solution to a broken radiator in 30°C muggy heat room was to crack open the window. The room was also so dusty that our socks turned black and the bathroom had a couple of bugs scuttling around, not to mention the limescale on the toilet.

Fairly good location, a manageable walk into the city centre and maybe 20 minutes from the Cathedral and/or train station. Decent shower (glad I booked an en suite room). Bed fairly comfortable. I was very glad of the fan provided in the room over a very hot weekend.

Odd set up as a set of rooms above a restaurant - very faint smell of Indian food about the place. Thin walls meaning I could hear what neighbours were getting up to. Room not as clean as it could have been. Fresh towels daily but bedding not changed.

Really clean & well organised room. Checkout is 11am - relaxed & later than many. Shower, Tv kette coffee & wifi all worked.

Radiator thermostat was broken so the radiator was continuously on.

Comfortable bed and good facilities. The staff member we interacted with was pleasant and helpful.

Cleanliness in the shared bathroom, two were modern whereas one needed upgraded. Mouldy bins and stains.

The staff and property were gorgeous and hospitable! The place was kept clean all week and the food was wonderful! 10/10 I would recommend to everyone I know!!

There were some young ladz (other guests in the room next door) who made quite a bit of noise all night but this was not the fault of the staff at the hotel. Overall, a great experience apart from the LADZ.

Lovely, clean room with thoughtful touches like complimentary chocolate bars and bottled water—it really made the stay feel special. Excellent value for money. We only wish we had tried the restaurant downstairs, as the food smelled absolutely amazing!

Only the one thing we could not get hold of anyone to check in stood about on the street maybe could do with key safes for self check in and someone who answers the phone

The telephone number written in room note doesn’t work in the building. The internet connection was poor. The cleanliness of bed and bed sheet does not look clean. The walls, wardrobe, and fan were dusty. The toilet window doesn’t open,there is no steam extraction. The staff were not nice enough to allow us to keep luggage at reception for few hours to walk around the city even though we were willing to pay. Also, there is no clarity while booking to show it’s a shared toilet. The shared toilet doesn’t have gender separation, that’s uncalled for. That’s an hostel not hotel.

We had a terrible experience that lasted only a couple of hours before we felt like we had no choice but to check out and find a different hotel. We were surprised with the room; it was lacking curtains and there were hairs left all the over bed and on the water bottles. The room next to us were having very loud sex and it sounded like it was different guests over the two hours that we bothered to stay for, leading us to suspect that they may be a sex worker. I am disappointed and left feeing deeply uncomfortable and unsafe. When this was raised with the company, we only received an apology that seemed to us to be written by AI.

The restaurant downstairs is beautiful and the menu is excellent

Signposting is poor. It's not clear where to enter to go to the hotel. You have to go to the restaurant and wait for someone to be free to book you in. There's no formal reception area. The staff member was very friendly but his English was not clear, so it was difficult to communicate clearly with him. The rooms have thin walls so it's possible to hear the guests music and conversation in neighbouring rooms. The blind in the room was broken, so people could see into the room from the busy street below. The room was not advertised as having a shared bathroom. I could have found an ensuite room close by for a similar price. Parking opposite the hotel overnight is free, but despite asking by email and in person, this information was not conveyed. Otherwise the room and shared bathroom was clean. The hotel is in a good location.

Its literally 5 mins away from all the shops and in town. Perf location plus they basically clean ur room everyday which is a bonus cuz i stayed for 2 months.

For the price, I really have no complaints.

It was a shared bathroom, but I knew that before I got there. There were no staff around, other than for pre-arranged check in, so I was nervous that problems with the key card may stop me from entering the hotel and my room. I need not have been nervous - there were no problems with the key card.

Everything! I was expecting the room to be disappointing but I couldn't believe the high standard. The complimentary tea, coffee, water by the bed was a nice touch. The fan was a God send in this weather. The window opened fully (usually they are covered over in paint) for fresh air & the blinds moved freely up & down without collapsing to the floor. There was also a clean towel on the bed in case you needed one. The bathroom was surprisingly clean considering it was shared. The close proximity to the bus/coach station & town centre is all within walkable distance. I could go on.....will book again.

Suggestions - (1) May be a mini fridge in the room to keep drinks, etc bought from outside cool.(2) Not sure if 'no lift access' is mentioned on 'Bookings.com'.

When we entered our room one of the first things we saw was a bed bug on the bed. We then looked under the sheets and bed to find more bed bugs and many yellow or red brown stains. We felt that such conditions were unsafe and left.

Very cheap rate for accommodation for the evening, would defiantly stay again the opportunity presented itself.
