Breakfast was excellent and also location which provided a very pleasing experience when in and out of the hotel. Decor and ambiance of the hotel was first class Local attractions were easily accessible. .

The drinks facilities in the room were not very well stocked. Although the room was very pleasing to the eye it wasn’t particularly user friendly. I.e. towel drying arrangements were poor. Storage limited. Arrangements for disposal of waste from drinks could be improved Room maintenance could have been better. .

For a superior room it was quite small, so for me not really superior, although the view was pleasant. £20 for a breakfast was pretty extreme, hence we chose to have breakfast in the next door Wetherspoons. It was also my 60th birthday celebration weekend and the staff had been made aware of this. would have been nice to have had something special done in the room and a treat somewhat better than a single drink from the bar.

View was nice and the décor was also pleasant. Staff were helpful and nice.

It was extra to have a double bed and I was travelling solo and had already spent a decent amount on a room. Feels as though if you don’t pay the upgrade room option you’re put in isn’t as spacious and with twin beds. I was on floor 6 but no one told me you can’t use the stairs if you’re staying on that floor.

Great Location next to Lime st station and actually has access from the hotel to the station.

Room service was suppose to be provided by Stokes bar and restaurant. But they didn’t answer the phone. I actually went to front desk late at night and they ordered a pizza for me.

Very disappointed as a lone female traveller so not stay here. Late at night I was booked into a room already occupied by someone else. This should not be possible via the right system. I also hear I am not the first this has happened to in this hotel. Did not feel safe x Staff did not take complaint seriously and no response from customer services.

Close to the station.

The beds were rock hard, as hard as a stone floor. £350 for two nights with no sleep. The room could have also been cleaner. We were at the back with a view of the roof of the train station and we could hear the trains coming and going all night. The staff were good though, very polite and hard working.

I stayed 4 days. They’ve cleaned the room everyday but the sidetables and the table in the toilet were very dusty. No hotel slippers were available for the standard rooms even when the price was on the higher end compared to other hotels.

The availability or or lack availability of gluten free food at breakfast. No gluten free bread because advised there was a dispute with the supplier. Lo Al supermarkets could have supplied a couple of loads. The chef who I asked about the what was gluten free on the hot food counter gave me the incorrect information. Situation rescued by the restaurant manager, who knew more about what food was gluten free than the chef, which is rather disconcerting for someone like me who has a severe allergy. Also the room I would describe as just adequate, as it seems that on top of the & £194 per night I paid for the room, to get a room I would have expected you have to pay an additional £40 for the privelege if showing your room.

Great location. Friendly and helpful staff. Can't comment on food because we didn't eat there. Special recommendation to the guy on the bar from "DR" who on his first day was exceptional!

Loved the photos with touches of red! Bed was very comfortable & I loved looking out to St George’s Hall. Borrowing an umbrella was very handy!! The restaurant was wonderful for a drink late at night and it was very pleasant for breakfast.

The restaurant is too small. We went for breakfast at 7.30 and had to wait for a table, despite that being the 'quiet time'. Drinks in the bar are far too expensive.

The hotel is beautifully decorated and themed . It’s spotless and the rooms were very comfortable although wardrobe space was limited . The standard of finishing was excellent . The communal areas of the hotel were amazing . Grand staircases , beautiful artwork . The location next to Lime Street could not be better .

Wow, we were blown away with this wonderful hotel. We were immediately greeted by friendly & extremely helpful staff. The location is excellent for access to the city centre & perfect for access to the train at Lime St Station - straight out a side door into the station! We spent just the one night & wish we spent more but will definitely be back.

Great location. walking distance to many attractions like Liverpool Cathedral, Beatles Story Museum, Cavern Club and many more local pubs and attractions. Room was clean and modernized but still keeping some old charm blended in. Served a very good breakfast.

The bar area was kinda lame for such a nice hotel, but with so many local pubs around it was not really an issue.

Location was fantastic. It only took me 5 minutes to leave my room, check-out and get on to the train. Well furnished rooms and the rooms were spacious enough. Wi-Fi worked flawlessly.

The service was sub-par: I had a minor issue in the room, notified the staff, and it was the third person I spoke to when they finally fixed the issue. Mistakes happen but if it gets notified, I at least expect some actions. (Thanks to the gentleman at the reception who finally fixed it! I didn't get your name unfortunately) I think the whole idea of paying a premium price for a hotel is that they get a smooth experience for the guests, but this was a disappointment. Also the tray containing the coffee, etc. was dirty and perhaps moldy.

The room was very comfortable (fantastic bed), the view from the room was great as well. First hotel that actually offers nice shampoo and conditioner that is good quality, and the hairdryer was good as well. Location is perfect, specially if you’re traveling by train. Also close to the Art gallery. The breakfast was excellent as well. And the staff is super friendly! I would definitely come back.

Only thing I would change is add extra hangers in the bathroom for the towels.
