Gruyère Rooms

Location was wonderful

Chairs on balcony

Great view from the room, helpful staff, large room with plenty of space, and close to everything.

Small shower and funky hair dryer that looked like a vacuum cleaner and didn’t allow much movement.

Well, this hotel was a last minute decision - we discovered we had an extra day in our schedule, and found this hotel sitting in our car in the parking lot. I was expecting some outrageously expensive hotels in Gruyeres, so when the "Gruyere Rooms" came up, I thought they were going to be "low budget" fare. I was wrong!! The check-in was swift and thorough, I was expecting a shabby room - it was neat, great wood carvings here and there, and everything a room needed to be. Everything was functional, tidy, and the lady with the Petit Dejeuner the next morning was so gracious. The breakfast was so much more than I was expecting. Even the noise of living in a tourist resort was not bad at all - the town really shutdown and we could sleep with out 2 windows wide open all night long.

Hard to say - there was nothing we didn't like. I had no idea staying the night in Gruyeres would be so easy!!

The view from the balcony the location

The stairs

Classical style and traditionnel value

The room is used for a second function, so the stuff carried inside, in addition to the function of a hotel room, and there were a lot of things not properly fixed or malfunctioning, like the shower head.

Unkomplizierter Check-in Sehr nettes Personal Top Lage Betten ultrabequem

Good Location ; friendly staff; reasonable size of the room.

Too hot and expensive.

Large room with double bed and two single beds in the roof space. We were able to take the lift, so only had to walk up one st of stairs with our cases. Big bathtub with shower. All very clean. Also very quiet. Staff really friendly. Parked on P1 (drove past the barriers on P2). Easy walk from there.

Excellent location in the heart of the medieval city.

Reception staff not friendly at all.

Friendly staff. The hotel is in the Main Street very well located. The room was pretty large, comfortable and clean.

The bathroom is pretty big but not very functional. It was hot as we traveled in the middle of summer. The breakfast was not included so we had to go next door. Breakfast was decent.

L'emplacement

Big room

No elevator for our room, others yes

Ubicación, limpieza y accesibilidad

Un poco caro

Le personnel très serviable et aimable ! Bravo !

Gruyeres is a tiny medieval town. This property is literally In the heart of it within feet of tourist attractions, restaurants and the majestic beauty of the Swiss Alps.

It is summer and it is hot. There is no air conditioning. That being said, our windows fully opened to let in the fresh air, but with no screens on the windows, this allowed for the bugs to come in.

Everything! Location and charm and excellent staff

Emplacement

Trop chaud dans la chambre

Bel emplacement historique.

The hotel is in the heart of the old town

Breakfast wasn’t included

Location

Nothing, everything was good

Wirklich top!

Location was amazing. Staff friendly and Ron was very spacious and quaint.

No air conditioning, but a huge fan was provided and appreciated. It was an exceptional hot few days for the time of year, so can’t be helped.

The Mountain View’s from the balcony were incredible. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was very nice with a large shower. The location in town was great and yet the room was very quiet at night.

The stairs to the room are curved and steep, so it was difficult with heavy suitcases.

grosses zimmer grosse badewanne

Beautiful location and a spacious, clean modern room. Great place to stay and enjoy Gruyeres before and after all the day trippers arrive.
