I really wanted to love Dreams Cap Cana, but unfortunately, my experience didn’t meet expectations. I was a Preferred Member, yet I didn’t feel like one. The “preferred” bar was so far from the pool that we constantly had to get out just to get a drink — and when I finally did, the drink I wanted was often out of stock. Overall, I didn’t feel I got my money’s worth for the Preferred upgrade. The resort itself is beautiful, but the service and convenience didn’t reflect the level of luxury I paid for.

Food is average or bellow average! Restaurants could be done better and create unique atmosphere with proper lighting!

We really enjoyed Dreams. The staff was amazing. My room was comfortable, theproperty was clean and the shows were great! The beach area could use some improvements. There could be more trees for shade and it needs to be cleaned everyday. The only other things that I would’ve like was more food options. The menu was the same all week and it became boring.

I would give this resort a 3.8/5. The property itself is very nice with multiple pools and the staff are very nice. No point in getting the preferred package compared to the regular package as there’s no way for the workers to distinguish if you’re a preferred guest or regular. There’s no wrist bands. The way the rooms look is probably the highlight of the resort. During off season the food options are very limited with the buffet being closed for lunch and dinner. The beach is rocky with brown water. Overall the property is still very nice and clean.

The staff at this property were incredibly friendly, courteous, and genuinely caring—they consistently went above and beyond with their service. Special thanks to Alex the bartender, Delaidy (who served us at both Oke and Candela), and another wonderful server at Candela who both made sure I left with soup for my father when he wasn’t feeling well. Their thoughtfulness truly stood out. Michael at the lobby was also fantastic—he took the time to explain the resort coupons and helped us understand everything we had access to. The food overall was decent, but Candela was by far the best dining experience all around. I stayed in a Preferred Junior Swim-Up Suite, and while the room was clean and serviced daily with fresh towels and everything we needed (which was lovely), it did fall short in some areas. There was noticeable paint splatter on the furniture, both inside and outside on the balcony table and chairs. Unfortunately, repairs were being done on a balcony in the room above, so the swim-up pool was not usable—it had paint chips and small debris. Thankfully, the main pools were pristine, well-maintained, and a pleasure to use. The spa experience was absolutely amazing and well worth the splurge!

Everything and everyone was great. Too much seaweed on the beach and in the water, so not able to go in the water.

Hola si acabo de estar en este hotel el servicio muy bueno la limpieza pésima hay un poquito de todo las botellas de agua nunca hay tienen que salir a buscarla y demora como 15 minutos los restaurantes el asiático horrible y el mediterráneo por lo demás muy buenos y excelentes el que se Candela el mejor de todos la mejor piscina Kaiman el servicio espectacular los trabajadores hacen lo k pueden pero son un amor ellos hacen por que el huésped se sienta bien por lo demás la verdad ya no vale la pena punta cana bueno gracias

The check in process was very slowly. I was supposed to received a call from a concierge and didnt happen

This stay was the worse experience. Started with the welcome. The check in took too long. We did request a room service that never happened. To many issues.

The preferred and palm bar personnel Alberto,Luis,Emmanuel,Yareli made amazing drink and very enjoyable experience. Eramy was amazing reserving any ride and amenities in the facility easy enough just a quick easy text. Room service was horrible I’m currently breastfeeding my infant son and have to eat random hours of the night. Day 1 food was horrible, Day two I called 1am-3:40 am Yaritza personnel said they didn’t have service available anymore. Day 3 took 2 hours to have meal deliver because i called and asked about the service. This was a very unpleasant experience due to me breastfeeding my infant child and not having food to supply my milk production.

Stay was Nice

I was only there for two days. It took me nearly two hours to check in, which was the wordy experience ever in any hotel abroad or domestic. The food was subpar as breakfast options was very limited. When I ordered room service, it was extremely late and cold. The service was not good at all. I was supposed to have access to a butler given I stayed in a preferred suite, but the butler never engaged with me despite promises made multiple times.

Quiet and relaxing resort. Everything looked exactly like the pictures. I only wish more of the restaurants were open. Planned to go to the steakhouse on my actual birthday and it said it was open on the resort app, but turned out to be closed . Still not too bad. The buffet was great !

Property was decent once we switched rooms. Property was for more older crowd…boring. Experienced some racism from a few staff members but most staff members were awesome.

It was a great hotel!

We enjoyed our stay. We were celebrating my boyfriend's birthday. From the moment we arrived everyone went above and beyond to make us fill welcome. At the bar have to give praises to Yefrey and Jesus were extra nice to us. The room was nice and clean. We enjoyed the swim up pool. Room service men was excellent, food was delicious and it always arrived hot. The restaurants that we went to eat had very good options. The stakehouse food was amazing, unfortunetelly the service did not raise to the deliciousness of the food. The server we had seemed upset of our arrival it was like he wanted to leave. He didnt even offer any dessert option, his attitude was definetely a turn off. Another thing we did not like was that we were lure into a presentation of their vacationing club membership, we did like their oprtions we just were not prepare to spend that amount of money without at least think ing about it, the sales person was rude and stated "we will still make money either way" that was what made us definetely not want to get the membership. His attitude was nasty, specially on our first morning there, unacceptable. Hopefully they make some adjustments regarding this. The way we were lure is not the best way to get clients. It left a bad taste in our mouths. Other than that we enjoyed our stay and loved the hotel.

This is the best all inclusive that I've ever been to. Entertainment was enthralling. Staff were friendly EVERYWHERE. I'm on semi glutide so, food wasn't so important. But it was good. The morning buffet catered to every want you could have. Very impressed to see the property manager walking about.

Dreams Cap Cana Is Amazing, The Staff There Are So On Point Thank You To Ramon From Barefoot Grill Seen A Group Of Having Fun By The Pool And Offered To Bring Us Food. Felix And Ellie Were Great On Assisting Us With Getting Around The Resort And Helping Us With Any Issues We Had.

From the lobby, all the bell man helped us and did a great job and front desk were extremely helpful and were so kind. Their names were Eliezer and Francis however I don’t remember their names. Housekeeping were amazing and made sure our rooms were spotless. We experienced the culinary department was very tasteful. The chef and his team did a great job for such an immense task and service was one of the best services I experienced. In all of my 10 days, A&B director Victor Dorotero was always in the floor and was always available for any questions and help. The restaurants Chanel, Manulka, Maria, Felix, Santo, and many more were the best servers and gave us such a fine dining experience and as someone in the field I noticed that they were very attentive and it is not an easy job to cater to hundreds of visitors. I did forget a lot of names however every single person I encountered was exceptional; I could not have enjoyed my stay more and will be recommending this establishment. Thank you for making out stay exceptional.

The resort provided different restaurant in addition to the buffet, such as Asian, Steak house, Italian, American Mediterranean and Caribbean cuisines. The bed was comfortable and sheets were always clean.

The service was really bad, they kept ignoring us. At the restaurant we waited for an hour and at the coffee shop, the girl was very rude to my sister.

I found out that this hotel was previously Margaritaville. I stayed in Margaritaville one year ago. The management was much better. I’ve stayed at Dreams before with good results. This was a mixed bag. The buffet was a failure! You need a complete new overhaul. The service was the worst that I have ever received there! The food was not even 3star! The alacart restaurants were better but definitely not 4 or 5 star! Average at best! I couldn’t even get seating with coffee cups in the morning. fire the food manager please! Hire management that can handle the job! I will not return!

Personnel needs to pay more attention to people instead of having to chase them to get service

The beach is horribly rocky and murky all week, it’s not swimable. The aminities are great and it has great potential but the service is horrible. I went to three other secrets and two other Dreams in Dominican and by far this was the worst service. I had to call everyday to make sure my room was cleaned or it wouldn’t be cleaned. The Asian restaurant had the worst sushi, the entertainment was horrid except for one amazing singer Vidal. Vidal was the only entertainer that was talented and interacted with people. We were at the preferred room and the preferred service would tell us to go to the main lobby for support. The concierge did nothing except send us the information for the day and no special services like at other dreams resorts. All restaurants had long service times and the buffet for dinner had very limited options. The only great dinner was the steak house, it had the best service and best food. The bbq was not worth the time as well. I went with my 11 year old son and all teens in his age group were board, the entertainment staff did not have good music or activities to engage them, I was very fortunate for the tennis instructor Miquel … he was the best customer service, taught us how to play tennis, pickle ball, dominos and ping pong, he was nice and pleasant and was very relatable. If it wasn’t for him I think the vacation would of been a waste.

That was amazing experience to stay with you guys. The crew was very friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. The food was great and delicious. The all facilities were very nice and friendly. The swimming pools were gorgeous.

I am only going to talk about the food service Dreams and all of them as we stay mostly all over Punta Cana have no respect on hygiene allergies religion respect or vegetarian or even kids I will explain that briefly there is no section for vegetarian or Jews or Muslim the fact is you order a French fries which suppose to be vegetarian you will notice it has been cooked in the same oil where they cook. Pitch sausages bacon chicken nuggets or any other meats. Maybe this hotel doesn’t care but is this not health and safety issue is this not scamming all parents all vegetarian all Jews or Muslim or people that have allergies How can they not separate Meats fish pork If you guys needs money to buy more friers please shoot out What you are doing in your properties is illegal And I will put all the video and the profs I have on others social media. Simply because you never come back to me or never fixed the issue for the days we stayed there. We eats pasta poached eggs and salads nothing fried

The hotel was great. The food and drinks were amazing. The hotel is quite not too much to do. It’s a great place to relax and lay back. However, the beach is not good at all . Lots of seaweed but even if there is no seaweed, there are lots of rocks too. Overall, we had a great stay at Dreams Cap Cana.

The property was "okay" and I think decent for the price it falls within. The best thing I ate was the short rib at Toura. The pasta at Cosa Mesa buffet in the evenings was actually better than the food we tried at the Italian restaurant. The burgers at Coral Keg were clearly frozen and lack flavor. This is not a place I would go for the food and for advanced travelers, this does not hit the mark. But I think for new travelers, and those from 18-28, it is ideal. Also good for those who are traveling on a budget. Some staff were very friendly but many seemed preoccupied and did not go out of their way for fear of being bothered or misdirected from their intended mission. The alcoholic drinks were lack luster and often we went to the VIP lounge because it was the only bar that had Don Julio and/or alcohol that did not taste like it was watered down (which I do understand they want to be sure no wayward parents become intoxicated and loose their children). We went off property alot during the day, laid out one day just to catch some sun and that was relaxing.

We had a great stay at Dreams Cap Cana, thanks to the amazing staff and beautiful accommodations. A standout was our butler, Eudomar—always responsive, polite, and incredibly attentive. He made our stay feel effortless. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and well cared for. The entertainment was also a highlight—Water Zumba was fun, and the nightly shows were lively and well-executed. Food was mostly excellent. We loved the steakhouse and ate there three nights—the food and service were consistently great. The Mediterranean restaurant was also a hit, especially the ribeye. However, Candela was underwhelming, with small portions and food that didn’t feel authentically Dominican. At the buffet, a kind woman who made omelets (June 27–29) went above and beyond, even preparing fried cheese and avocado for a traditional Dominican breakfast. Her warm service truly stood out. The big downside: the beach. It was rocky, full of seaweed, and the water was murky—unusable for swimming. As beach lovers, this was a major letdown. In short, Dreams Cap Cana delivers on service, food, and comfort, but the beach experience was poor enough that we wouldn’t return. If the beach isn’t a priority, it’s a solid resort.

The grounds were clean with many pool choices. Our assigned Concierge named Alvaro was very nice and went out of his way to check in on us. Many of the hotel staff looked irritated, especially the bartenders near the preferred pool area and the swim up bars. Tipping generously didn’t improve the experience. Once we lowered our expectations, we managed to enjoy the setting more. Not much entertainment happening for your children.

Food take to long.

We went on our first trip with our 5 month old daughter and this resort was the perfect vacation. The service was excellent, from the moment you checked in you are assigned a personal concierge. We had Alvaro and he was great. He would check in with us everyday via text to see if we needed anything. I asked for a way to heat water to sanitize baby bottles and next thing I know they sent us a baby bottle sterilizer. They really went above and beyond. My mom is vegan and she had dinner options at every restaurant. The spa services are 100% worth the cost. It was a relaxing experience. We will definitely be returning with our families.

Very clean and nice staff

The other properties in Dominican Republic own by Unlimited Vacation was much nicer in every way than this property.

Pros: Very new resort, very clean, many workers around for assistance, many restaurants. Cons: lumpy bed pillows, not enough staff when checking out (long checkout), shower took 45 min to get a little warm.

It was a beautiful property, sadly we couldn’t enjoy the beach, there was a lot of algae

We stayed in the Preferred club part of the resort and absolutely loved it! It was quiet and very clean. The service from the staff was the best we have ever experienced. Everyone is so friendly and kind and very helpful. The food was amazing and the staff genuinely only cares about you having a great experience over anything else. I would recommend this resort over any other one in the area. Our concierge Luis was very friendly and helpful and he is largely another reason we would love to go back as soon as we can!

The resort was incredible. First of all it's huge. There are so many options of things to do. Second, the staff is incredible. They were super attentive and very kind. Third, the food, for the most part, was very tasty. We were there for three full days and had one "meh" meal. Not even bad, just "meh". Lastly, everything was super clean, and you could see the attention to detail. It rained hard every night we were there, but when you woke up, the sun was out and the property was spotless. It didn't even look like a storm passed at night.

This was by far one of the cleanest resorts I've been to. The staff was amazing and polite.

The staff need to be trained to deal with costumers, once you are identified as a VIP guest, no difference at all, I though that I was asking for a favor, not paying the large amount of money I did for this place

What I loved about the property was everyone was exceptional, it was quiet, clean. The lamp in my room was the only bad thing, it looked like it was burned and wasn't replaced but everything else was super great definitely will come back.
