Oasis Motel

Very basic but adequate breakfast, but unusually for Canada, it was included. Close to town and access to the highway.

I received a number of rogue emails regarding my stay at this motel. I have never experienced this with Booking.com before. I was very concerned about my booking, but it was all fine on arrival. I suspect the motel or Booking.com had been hacked as the emails (which the motel confirmed did not come from them) contained details of my reservation.

Spacious, clean, easy to find. Good breakfast options to take to your room. Good communication. Nice hot water in shower.

Camera molto spaziosa e pulita. Ci siamo fermati solo di passaggio però abbiamo trovato la struttura in un posto tranquillo e strategico. Parcheggio davanti alla camera. A 10 minuti di auto si trova la città di Antigonish che offre ristoranti e servizi. La mattina si va a ritirare la colazione nel office della reception e si può consumare nei tavolini all'aperto che sono fuori da ogni stanza.

The breakfast was simple but just what we wanted. The room is older but very clean. Check in was the best!

It was very close to antigonish center, was a simple motel but was good value and was close to where we wanted to be.

The price was right, and a convenient location for us passing through on the way to Cape Breton.

The "amenities" listing included could be updated. For example when it says toaster and cutlery we assumed this would be in our room but it wasn't- (although there was a toaster and cutlery during the breakfast which you could help yourself to in the morning in the office). Room was dark and I thought it smelled a bit of smoke despite being marked as non smoking. We didn't see a staff member during our time there.

Classico motel con le camere a piano terra e parcheggio davanti al proprio ingresso. Il giorno dell' arrivo ho ricevuto le informazioni per poter effettuare il check-in in autonomia. Camera e bagno puliti, con A/C, wi-fi, frigorifero e microonde funzionanti. La mattina in reception si può ritirare una semplice colazione con cereali, latte, frutta, muffin e caffè da consumare poi in camera. Lo staff è gentilissimo, il prezzo onesto.

A few things could be added that would make the room safer Bath tub was slippery and there were no mats or bars. The tub needs a stopper for taking bathed.

Very clean. The room had everything we needed including a microwave and small refrigerator. Lots of power outlets for charging our devices. Quiet location and quiet climate control system. There was a comfy little couch and sitting area inside and some wooden seats and table outside the door for sitting outside. Excellent breakfast offering with coffee, cereal (hot or cold), toast, juice, oranges and bananas. The owner was very nice to chat with.

Could have used a couple of extra pillows, but that’s it.

Das Frühstück konnte man im Office zusammenstellen und aufs Zimmer mitnehmen. Kaffee, Muffins, frisches Obst und Flakes. Das war gemessen an der Unterkunft gut.

Das Zimmer war unangenehm miefig, was vermutlich am alten, fleckigen Teppichboden lag. Bett und Fußboden verursachten beim Bewegen laute Geräusche. Die Ausstattung schien aus dem vorigen Jahrhundert zu sein. Dies war unsere schlechteste Nacht in 3 Wochen Nova Scotia. Auch der günstige Preis von 100 € inkl. Frühstück können das nicht ausgleichen.

Room was clean and well appointed, all amenities necessary for a comfortable stay were included. Price was excellent. Owner was easy to contact and very friendly.

We really enjoyed our stay. The room was very comfortable, clean, and well equipped. The beds, pillows, and blankets were very comfortable, and we had a great night’s sleep. The refrigerator was a good size and very useful. The bathroom was spacious, and the shower had excellent water pressure. Everything was clean, organized, and well maintained. The staff was very friendly, professional, and always willing to help. We highly recommend this motel and would definitely stay here again

It was a one night stay while visiting Nova Scotia. Everything was clean and we had a self-check-in.

It was a bit noisy when trucks were passing down the road but for a motel windows were quite good.

The free continental breakfast was very fresh. The coffee in the room and the fridge and microwave, although I didn't use them its great to have the option. Did not meet the staff but was relieved to have my key and check in information available with a late check-in.

The rooms were clean and nice. Would have loved to have a small kettle to boil water. There is no exhaust fan in bathroom but not bad as I opened the window.

Our stay at the oasis Motel was average. The motel itself needs to be updated, especially the bedding. It served its purpose for an overnight stay. Breakfast in the morning was OK.

We were expecting an older motel, which was fine. A comfortable mattress on a solid frame should be part of a basic expectation, the bedframe we not secure, noisy and mattress was not comfortable.

GPS took us to the totally wrong side of Antigonish! Luckily a nice resident there helped us find the place. Right road, close number but no Oasis! Then I had to talk with a ‘virtual assistant’ to look for help. When we finally found it, the big Oasis sign was turned off so couldn’t see it in the dark. Frustrating start, but a decent little motel when everything settled down.

I arrived late at night, but I had indicated online that I would be doing so, and the motel owner/manager replied online that that would be OK. From what I saw online when making the reservation, the motel supposedly had a "24 hour reception desk." Bulls__t!!! When I arrived, the office/reception area was dark and locked up tight, so I had to call the motel's phone number, leave a voicemail message, and hope the owner/manager would call back. That caused all kinds of problems I won't go into, but I eventually reached him on the phone, and he told me where I could find an envelope with my room key. Once I got to my room, it was cold, so I tried to set a comfortable temperature on the thermostat. But guess what? The thermostat was dead as a doornail! I eventually saw, up near the ceiling, what I presumed was a heat pump unit that had replaced the old electric baseboard heating system. I eventually found a handheld remote control for the heat pump and figured out how to use it to get the room temperature. Doing all that took a lot of time that could have been much better spent getting ready for bed. I suppose I could have called the owner/manager back to find out how to warm up the room, but it was past midnight, and I didn't want to risk going through all the time-consuming problems I experienced contacting him the first time. At the very least, he should have had a wall sign displayed in a prominent place, informing guests about the new heating system AND TELLING THEM HOW TO USE IT!!!!

Location was great. Nice & quiet especially where there was camping right behind us. Very generous with the complimentary breakfast.

Walls are quite thin. We could hear everything in the next room. Someone was snoring pretty good at night which made it hard to get to sleep. Then at 6 am they woke us with their talking & their radio or TV.

It was exactly what we were looking for. No complaints at all. The room was clean. The service was great and the breakfast was fine.

The Manager was helpful. He who suggested several car repair shops because we had a car problem.

Selection was good and food was tasty. The room was a good size and was clean and the beds were comfortable.

The bathroom was below average and needed a lot of work. The sink was small with no vanity or anywhere to put your toiletries. The toilet was very low to the ground and too close to the wall. You felt as though you were sitting on the wall. The show curtain was held up by a flimsy rod that fell down.

We were expecting a typical Motel with regular rooms, so we were very pleasantly surprised when the rooms were nicer than we anticipated, the beds are very comfortable asleep in. The staff is very friendly and the breakfast in the morning is the most surprising part of it all. We really liked our stay and we definitely recommend this place.

The tank to the barbeque was a little low so when we used it, it took us a little long to heat up our food that we bought, but it was definitely nothing to really complain about

We're talking about an upgraded 60s motel here, so if you expect 5-star quality features, you'll definitely be disappointed. However, if you're looking for a good clean bed to rest on, the Oasis definitely meets this criteria with gusto. Just don't expect too much feature-wise and enjoy the experience. The place looked clean and tidy. And yeah, they provide a quality continental breakfast where you can get your fill of bagels, muffins, fruits, coffee, orange juice, etc.

Not much really. As previously stated, just don't expect Hilton quality features.... and book somewhere else if you insist on world class service and quality. This establishment is a motel and as such, it meets my expectations.

The owner or representative was not present for either check-in or checkout. He became very annoyed when I complained about the service after we finally spoke and I was about 1 hour down the road.
