Reviewed Sep 18, 2026Sauberes nettes Zimmer, Nette Unterkunft und perfekte Lage. Besitzer hat uns den Samurai Tanz beigebracht das war sehr spannend und amüsant. Würde ich nochmal besuchen.

Reviewed Sep 18, 2026Sehr ruhig und authentisch, obwohl es in einem touristischen Ort liegt, hatten wir das Gefühl, als ob wir bei unseren Gastgebern zuhause wären. Das Abendessen war toll! Auch die anschließende Erfahrung mit dem traditionellen Gesang und Tanz war eine spannende Erfahrung. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Mi raccomando a fine cena fate il ballo tradizionale insieme al proprietario con lo yukata perche è una persona molto disponibile e gentile ed è veramente un'esperienza unica.

Reviewed Sep 10, 2026El sitio es precioso y el personal del ryokan son muy amables y simpáticos. Hay unos baños privados que puedes reservar que son un lujo, súper recomendable. Los desayunos/cenas también son espectaculares con mil platitos para probar muchas cosas. Si puedo, volveré!

Reviewed Sep 8, 2026Casa típica Japonesa antigua, la cena buenísima y el desayuno también. El personal fantástico, muy amables y acojedores. Te hacen sentir como en tu casa. Muy organizados, Onsen pequeñito pero exclusivo y organizado con horario estricto para acomodar a todos. Baño compartido pues en una casa de esa época es imposible tenerlo en suite. Está en una situación inmejorable, en la calle principal cerca de la parada del autobús y al inicio de la ruta de Nakasendo. El colchón sobre el tatami muy cómodo y a estilo europeo, o sea bien ancho. Todo muy limpio, impecable. Sirven CAFÉ en el desayuno, OLÉ.
Las escaleras de la casa son muy empinadas y ojo si bajas con maletas.

The shared sento is very nice although be aware that you have to reserve your 30mn timeslot. The room was very comfortable. Yukatas are provided which is nice and comfy for dinner and breakfast
The toilets are in the basement and the rooms in the first floor so during night you have to go down two sets of steep stairs to go to the toilets.

Reviewed Aug 22, 2026在馬籠宿中一泊二食，非常方便，晚早餐非常美味，看似可能吃不飽，實際上份量充足；房間是榻榻米式，有很重的床墊味道，氛圍很足，空間也很大，泡湯要先選時段，所以基本上不會給其他客人碰到，雖然廁所共用，但很乾淨，即便刷牙洗臉也不容易遇到其他人。這一次住在馬籠宿的經驗是，歐洲旅客比例特別高，大家都很遵守民宿規定，不會有吵雜聲響。 建議去妻馬籠，還是以背包為主，拉行李走古道會有點辛苦，總之，有拍不完的美麗風景。

We loved wondering at dusk when the town is quiet and the architecture lights up with dim-lit lanterns. A genuine experience that you won't forget!

Il bagno in comune era troppo distante dalla nostra stanza (due piani di scale). L' Onsen è molto piccolo e lo si può utilizzare per massimo mezz'ora. Puoi farti la doccia, presente solo nell' Onsen, solo previa prenotazione: ce n'è solo una per le donne e una per gli uomini.

Access by car (for luggage drop-off/pick-up) is only possible in the earl morning and late afternoon. During the day, the street is closed for cars and you will have to carry your stuff from the parking lot (which is a bit further from the village street). Staff is old and cannot help you. If you have mobility issues, you need to know this and plan accordingly.

Het enige wat jammer is, is dat de douche en wc niet op de kamer is, maar dat is nu eenmaal hoe dit huis is ingedeeld. Er zijn wel heel veel wc’s.

Reviewed Jul 19, 2026The experience of staying in this town was fantastic. it is vey quaint and beautiful. They were very organised with the shower times which we liked. It was very clean. Staff with very helpful and friendly. We walked the 5km from Otsumago, and used WalkLite luggage forwarding service which was great. A lady at the Information desk at the Nagiso train station gave us maps and showed us where our accommodation was on the street which make it easy to find as its a long street. The food was good. There was a lot of it and many varied Japanese tastes. It was fresh and was an experience.
We didn't like sleeping on the mat on the floor which is probably about us rather than a complaint. We knew this is what we booked.

The hotel itself is interesting, a lovely experience staying in a unique ryokan. Surprisingly large but not for those with mobility issues due to steep stairs. It is very clean. The hotel scheduled private bath times for guests.
The steep and narrow stairs made it difficult to manoeuvre luggages.

This place has been run by the same family for 8 continuous generations dating back to the Edo period — walking the Nakasendo and staying here is as close as I could get to tasting history. I highly recommend asking about the traditional song of the Nakasendo, Kiso-bushi!
I wouldn't change a thing. Love!

Ha un parcheggio privato non molto lontano dalla struttura (consiglio di chiedere in anticipo la geolocalizzazione per evitare problemi con il navigatore). Il personale è gentile ed attento. Le camere sono molto spaziose, letto con futon molto comodo. Te e biscotti di benvenuto in camera. Onsen piccolo, ti fanno prenotare quando vuoi andare, ma molto confortevole. I bagni sono in comune ai vari piani. Cena e colazione tipica molto varia ma soprattutto molto buona.

Reviewed Jun 7, 2026Es war ein besonderes Erlebnis im Ryokan zu übernachten! Ich habe alles daran geliebt. Die Badezeit im Onsen, die traditionellen Yukata, den Geruch der Tatami Matten. Ich habe vorher nachgefragt, ob es möglich ist ein vegetarisches Menü zu bekommen, das hat super geklappt und war sehr gut. Abends konnte man mit anderen Gästen einen traditionellen Tanz lernen. Leider waren wir dazu zu müde, aber sehr schönes Angebot.

Dinner was beautifully presented and the owner even showed all the guests a traditional dance/folk song native to the Kiso region. The room was very spacious and the futons were comfy. Truly a highlight of our trip.

I bagni in comune non hanno rappresentato un disagio, anzi, ottima la gestione delle vasche termali. Fantastica la sessione della danza del samurai, che crea una forte atmosfera tipica.

お店の問題ではないのですが、お風呂が時間制になっていて、それ自身は問題ないのですが、娘と2人で時間になったので女性風呂に入ろうと思ったら、何と女性風呂の中から男性野村声が聞こえてきて、慌ててお店の人に言って出てもらうということがありました。 夫婦者が2人で女性風呂に入っていたそうです。 男性が女性風呂に入るなんてあり得ないことですし、しかも自分達の時間が過ぎても出て来なかったことから輪をかけて酷いと思いました。

Reviewed May 29, 2026Die Lage: mitten in Magome, direkt am Postweg. Trotz traditioneller Bauweise war es sehr ruhig. Wir hatten ein großes Zimmer, eines der wenigen mit eigener Toilette. Abendessen und Frühstück waren hervorragend. Die Betten waren bequem, da unter dem Futon noch eine Matratze lag.
Für die Dusche mit Onsen-Becken werden Zeiten (30 min) vergeben zur Einzelnutzung, eines für Männer und eines für Frauen. Das reicht völlig aus. Für die Waschbecken, die immer genutzt werden können, fehlt eine solche Trennung und ein Sichtschutz zum Flur wäre gut.

At first the room felt cold, but surprisingly it wasn't cold to sleep at night. The staff was super friendly and accommodating, gave us a nice warm welcome even before official check in time. We had a half board meal plan, i.e. breakfast and dinner, and the food was delicious.

Reviewed May 13, 2026Prima di tutto i proprietari, disponibilissimi e attenti ad ogni richiesta, oltre che felici di condividere le loro tradizioni (compresi canti e balli storici). La struttura ha il fascino di essere gestita da 8 generazioni di fila e si respira tutto questo nell'atmosfera. Abbiamo apprezzato moltissimo anche il momento solitario nell'onsen e la cena tradizionale giapponese. Un'esperienza incredibile!
Nulla, tutto oltre le aspettative e perfetto per chi vuole vivere un'esperienza immersiva sulla via Nakasendo.

Reviewed May 12, 2026Emplacement parfait en plein cœur de la Nakasendo, parfait pour prendre le départ de la randonnée le lendemain matin. Le dinner et le petit déjeuner étaient raffinés, à la Japonaise et le lieu nous plonge dans l'histoire du Japon.
Un seul compartiment douche homme (pareil pour femme) avec un petit bain, donc horaire d'une demi-heure à choisir pour chaque chambre. Mais compréhensible avec l'ancienneté et l'histoire de l'établissement.

Reviewed May 11, 2026We had a wonderful stay at this very authentic hotel. The tasting dinner was excellent — delicious dishes and a truly memorable experience. We also slept extremely well and felt very comfortable throughout our stay. The hotel is located in a beautiful town full of charm and atmosphere. Thank you very much for your warm hospitality and for welcoming us so kindly.

Reviewed May 6, 2026Tutto Sato san e famiglia sono stati carinissimi Cena e colazione eccezionali Pulizia impeccabile Carina anche la danza tipica e lui super disponibile a spiegare usanze, parole giapponesi o percorsi in zona Si, un po' caro, ma siamo a Magome dove sono rimasti pochissimi alloggi e il servizio è ottimo!

部屋にトイレ洗面がなく、共同だったのだが、急な階段を降りたり上がったりが多かった事。 部屋に金庫が無い事と、部屋の鍵が掛かりにくかった事。

Reviewed May 3, 2026いつも人が多い馬籠ですがご飯をいただいた後に外に出ると人が少ない素敵な雰囲気の馬籠を感じることが出来ました。 お宿は馬籠ならではのお宿で古いけれど設備も何も問題ありませんでした。 ご飯も美味しくて量もありお部屋もとても清潔でした また行きたいです
